✮ Aston Beckett | Third Year | Ravenclaw ✮⋆˙

Aston was born on the 19th of October, 2011, in a hospital in Chicago, USA, to Aaron Beckett and Loretta Miller. The pair lived in Appleton at the time, having only married one year prior, after the birth of their son they decided to move away. To the woods not far from Green Bay, Wisconsin, where they can have the quiet life they wanted. Far from the noise of townships and the judgement of their family, something ever-present since the beginning of their relationship. It was a peaceful life, despite everything Aston's parents did give him a sufficient education through homeschooling. The isolated life was something Aston only knew to love, it was a life his mother took to easily, as if it is where she was always meant to be. The hunting trips around their home, the fishing trips in many lakes around, Aston loved spending time with him mother there like that, enjoying the hobbies she did. Even after moving target shooting is still a beloved hobby for him, the camping trips with his father an event he looks forward to every year. Aaron spent more time at home, growing their crops and doing the woodworking. Looking back on it now, Aston wonders how much of that was done with magic, he never knew of his fathers magical nature till their time in London, in the magical society. Did his mother know of it? Did she agree on hiding the reality from him?

Aston was a late bloomer in terms of magic, his childhood was a simple one unbeknownst to any surprises like magic. His first instance of magic didn't come till he was in London, during one of many camping trips with his father. It was late at night by the camp fire, Aston and his father was talking, with a lot of hand gestures as that is what he does when he is enjoying the conversation, loud and excited. This is when suddenly sparks flew from his hands and caused a minor explosion near by, luckily Aston's father had already explained the wizarding world and magic to him, albeit was it only happened a week after the explanation.

The absent of his mother was odd to Aston, he overheard a few arguments back in the day, some bits and pieces here and there about what happened. After a few too many heated discussions and one too many panic attacks on his father's end, Aston learned to not ask, at least not now when the wound was so fresh. The reason behind his parents divorce was a simple one, it was never meant to be. Aaron and Loretta got together young, being only 19 and 20 years old respectively when they married. As they would grow older together they would find out that their relationship was born of attraction and the want to be away from their family, rather then anything solid, making for a relationship that was bound to expire eventually. Next thing Aston knew his mom was in Alaska, wanting a new start, and Aaron rejoined the wizarding world per his family's advice, leaving to London with Aston to avoid the mistakes and memories. Is a mistake what he saw when looking at Aston now? Aaron didn't have an answer.

Aston does not know this, but Loretta is in fact still in contact with Aaron. She took up a job fishing in northern Alaska, making decent money and living a good life. Loretta got in contact with an old wizarding friend of her and Aaron, one who agreed to send her letters to London for the Becketts. She paid for Aston's sliver arrow, checking up on them but never asking for a visit. Support was something she is willing to offer, her presence was not. Resulting in Aston not knowing of any of this, having no idea what his mother is like now, a fact he accepted now.
