It's a PJ Party!
April 12th, 2025- an early celebration of National Pajama DayIf Sage could choose her favorite clothes, obviously she’d pick her pajamas. Cozy in the winter, comforting in the summer, during any time of the year, pajamas won her over every time. Seeing as she and loads of other Hogwarts students would be celebrating spring break during the actual day of National Pajama Day, Sage decided to organize a little party the day before they all left for break.
Settled in Hogwarts’ ballroom, Sage had adorned the room with blankets, pillows and a few tables organized with popular food and drinks. Students were welcome to bring their own snacks as well as their own pillows and blankets to keep comfy. Every corner of the room was ready for the event similar to a giant sleepover.
Sage had hung a banner on one of the ballroom’s walls that read “Happy National PJ Day!”. While it was four days from the actual event, it was the thought that counted. Adding the finishing touches to the room, the last thing was to wait for the first students to arrive.
The event would end safely before curfew, but there would still be plenty of time for the students to relax and hang out with each other. Maybe they would even get the chance to meet some new friends, get a break from the stress of school and the odd things that had been happening recently.
Sage wore a yellow flannel t-shirt and black shorts for her PJs. Her favorite blanket had been wrapped around her shoulders like a cape, keeping the chill off her skin. Her brown hair was up in a messy bun, sealing off the idea of a PJ party.
And then just as it was getting time for her peers to arrive, she positioned herself by the entrance to wave and greet everyone as they entered.

Lucy came to the ballroom, stepping in slightly unsure. In her hands, there were two plastic packages; one contained fried banana pieces, the other dried mixture of tropical fruits. She grew even more unsure when she saw there was almost no one in the room yet. Almost. There was a girl, probably not that much older than her, who was wearing a multi-coloured pajamas similar to her own and who was standing by the door.
"Uh.. hey! Am I the first one? Is it that early?" She looked around, to see that she really was one of the first at least. "I'm Luce, by the way. First year Ravie. And you must be the organiser! So nice to meet you!" Said the girl enthusiastically, with a huge smile on her face.
As to her outfit, she was wearing pink shorts covered with sparkling, silver stars, and a pink T-shirt with a logo of a wizarding clothes shop, which exchanged itself with a picture of a neighing unicorn on a rainbow in regular intervals. Her slippers were magical too, but they didn't, quite surprisingly, match the colour of the girl's PJs. They were grey with a cute Erumpent head on the top, which would sometimes produce a few harmless, golden sparks.
Under her arm, was her teddy polar bear, who had wide, cute looking eyes and muzzle, and a relatively little body, in comparison with the head at least. He was also dressed into a T-shirt, the inscription on which stated "Sardegna" , which made it clear that the bear was a souvenir from a trip abroad.
In short, she brought everything she needed to that day's event.
Her eyes then escaped to the banner on the wall and the tables with food. It seemed that she only just realised she had two packages of food with her. "What a pretty banner! Have you made it yourself?" Asked Lucy. "Oh, here are some snacks. Sorry, I don't have anything to put 'em in."
The longer she spoke, the more hearable her Welsh accent was, which seemed to, once again, be rather common for the Welsh girl.
"Oh, nice pyjamas you have!" Claimed the Ravie last but not least. She stepped from one leg to the other restlessly one last time, before she asked the girl by the door: "So... do you need some help with anything?"

✽Avery was excited, but she was also tired. It had been a long day for her full of adventure, and she was ready to get her PJs on and head to the ballroom for a party. The second Avery had seen it, she knew she had to participate. It was rare that there was a party here at Hogwarts, so she always took the chance when it came about. All Avery could hope was that her best friend, Lya, would be there. She really needed to talk to her about what was really going on with her family, but she didn't know where to start. Maybe tonight would give her the answer. She did know that she would probably have to drag Dylan into telling her, so he could explain what happened after she had left. She really wanted to know if he knew more than her about that day.
Avery pulled on a simple red PJ shirt and pulled on some matching black PJ pants before walking out of Thestral Thicket. She was ready to finally have some fun. The ball the night before was a lot of fun, but spending time with friends in PJs was even better. Especially when she had nothing else to do that night. Avery walked down the stairs in her comfy slippers. The quietness of the stairway relaxed her. It was nice to finally have quiet after the crazy events of the day.
Finally, she had made it to the Ballroom. A place she was not too familiar with yet. She stopped and stared at it. It looked so cozy with blankets and pillows strewn around the place. She wished she had brought her own blanket, but she was fine with not having one. Avery smiled and waved to the Hufflepuff prefect at the entrance. She was probably the organizer, so Avery smiled and thanked her for creating this event.
Once she stepped inside, she was happy to find a snacks and drinks table. Of course she would find her favorite snacks and drinks to share with her friends at the party. Though, she wasn't quite sure what all of the snacks and drinks were. A few things were from the muggle world. Even though Avery had grown up with a friend that was a muggle for a few years, she still didn't understand their world. They were very confusing.
Avery decided to wait until her friends arrived to get food. She was still slightly full from dinner, so she wasn't quite ready to eat. Avery settled down against a pillow in a corner of the room. Excited to see what the night would bring, and ready to have a chilled out hangout with her friends for the first time in awhile. ✽

ReducioAt the sound of a pajama party, Kaitlyn knew she wanted to attend … at the very least. While she wasn’t stuttering as much as last year anymore, she was still pretty shy. Yet, she knew she had to try to socialize, especially when these parties were held. Plus, she could leave halfway through if she wasn’t having fun. No one would even know.
Its location was at the ballroom … a fancy venue at Hogwarts that she liked to go to. It was a great spot to practice dancing in! As such, Kaitlyn skipped her way to the ballroom. Her pigtails gently billowed as she moved. She wore a black tank top, pink flannel pajama pants, and black flip-flops. Her hair was styled in pigtails, held up by pink butterfly hair clips. To be fair, she vastly preferred a nightgown but decided to try something different for this party.
Upon arrival, the young Slytherin smiled as her blue eyes focused around the ballroom. Naturally, the entire open space was now taken up by a slew of blankets and pillows. There looked to be plenty to go around in the huge room. She noticed the tables with food and drinks littered on top of it. That would certainly come in handy later! Hopefully, she’d be able to share some with friends … presuming she socialized with anyone.
Kaitlyn turned her head, and her blue eyes spotted the Hufflepuff prefect standing by the door and greeting everyone who entered. Kaitlyn smiled at Sage when it was her turn to enter. “Hi Sage! This party looks like a wonderful idea. Thank you for setting it up!” She exclaimed. It had been a while since they last interacted, especially after she stayed in her four-poster bed in the Dorea Potter dorm. Sure, her exams were not that bad … she passed after all. Yet, she was severely disappointed in her grades. So, she had spent most of her second year studying in her dorm.
“I won’t take up much of your time, but I’d love to catch up at some point,” Kaitlyn lowered her voice to a whisper as she spoke the last few words. She smiled again at Sage as she completely stepped into the ballroom. For now, she shyly headed to a cluster of pillows on the side of the room, perching on top of the pillow. ‘I would’ve loved to bring my Gobstone set with me.’ She briefly glanced around the room and shook her head. ‘Even if I tried, I doubt there is that much room in here to accommodate a bunch of students playing.’Word Count:

✽Avery stood up when she saw Lya walking into the room. Relief flashed across Avery's face. At least Lya was here. That would make this party even better! Avery knew she should probably just have fun and not think about her grandfather, but every time she tried to do something the memory of her grandfather telling her that he had cancer that may kill him tortured her. Dennis was the only person she had told, and she was afraid to tell Dylan. Avery couldn't even imagine how he would react. That's why she had to tell Lya too. If things took a turn for the worst, she really needed her best friend.
"Hiya Lya. To be honest, things have been a bit rough. How are you doing?" Avery asked. She wanted to be truthful for once. She was tired of faking happiness. She also knew that tomorrow would be the last day for Avery to see Lya until they went on Spring Break. That's when Avery realized she had to tell her and Dylan everything. Tomorrow. Nerves filled her, and she quickly shook them off. She didn't want to ruin the night.
"I hope tonight will be fun. I really need a break from all that's been happening. I also have something to tell you, but I'll probably tell you tomorrow before we leave so I can tell Dylan too." Avery said. Hoping that she wouldn't ruin her best friend's night with the fact that bad news loomed over their heads. Waiting to destroy them.
That's what Avery felt every second of every day. She was barely holding herself together. She couldn't wait to see her grandfather again with Dylan. Maybe he would be able to give her the strength she needed to keep going. Otherwise, she didn't know how much longer she would have until she gave up trying to fix everything. ✽

Sleepovers, always an essential part of the childhood or teenage experience. This was no sleepover but it was certainly the closest thing Aston has had. His pajamas were little more than old clothes too baggy to wear out but they were comfortable and served their purpose. Aston arrived mostly empty handed at the ballroom, he did debated whether it'd be worth it for him to bring a book but in the end the hope that he would find someone to talk to won over, after all you seem much more unapproachable when you're already occupied with a book. What Aston does have is Rosales, his pet ferret, since he got her she has mostly hung out with him in the dorm. Hopefully no one is allergic.
Aston gave a smile to Sage as he walked past, recognising her from the cabin they shared at Beauxbatons. There were few other people here already, looks like I got here early, nice, wonder who else will show up today. Sage seems to be the only familiar face here, all the girls seemed to already be engaged in conversation and Aston was certainly they haven't met before. Oh well, might as well go check out the food. The butter beer he had at the Ravenclaw rave night last year was delicious but sadly as a second he has no way of getting them, not while he's still at school anyway. Aston made his way to one of the few tables around the room, and picked a cup of the drink up, laughing at the sensation of Rosales on his shoulders. Despite it being months since he got the ferret the feeling of having a creature with him so often still feels new, giving her a pet Aston looked around for an empty place to sit.
The last few months have gone by so soon, the lack of owls from his father has been worrying at best. They never did talk much during the school year and it would be the Easter holiday soon, he can see his father then, but it doesn't stop the worry. Whatever this feeling is, I should stop thinking about it and just enjoy this, have some fun and all that. Pushing whatever that was to the back of his head Aston found a spot near the corner of the room, fluffing up a few pillows to lean on, Aston sat down with Rosales laying on his stomach.

A P.J. party, everything Graci could have possibly wanted, girls and guys just chilling in comfy clothes goofing off.
She loved all things soft and cozy, and this was definitely one of them.
Fun, here I come!
She slid through the halls towards her destination, the ballroom. Her socks skidded across the floor and she almost had many accidents. A small pillow and blanket were under her arms, her great plan for making an entrance, and probably getting herself hurt.
Oh, well. A party would most definitely not be fun without some excitement.
She hummed a song, taking her stroll a bit slower after a near collision with a suit of armour and a death glare from an older student- presumably a prefect.
She was buzzing with excitement, hoping some of her friends would show up, not friends, acquaintances. Graci had to keep reminding herself. To insinuate that she had friends was to say she had actually talked to them more than two times, and she hadn't. Well, not meaningful connection, maybe two or three times, but no more.
Ah, the ballroom, finally.
She took a deep breath, preparing for the possible humiliation. She hadn't practiced her entrance, not knowing where she could do so.
Three... Two... One!
She took a running start, hoping no one was going to be in her way, and jumped onto her pillow-blanket sled and was swept right across the floor. "HELLOOOOOO PEOPLE!"
She went a bit further than anticipated, right into a pile of blankets, one she was grateful for.
She stayed immersed in the blankets for a second, making sure everything was alright. Eventually- after determining that nothing was broken or bruised, she crawled out, grinning from ear to ear.
"Sorry 'bout that y'all, floor was a bit slippery-er than I'd anticipated." Graci was laughing the whole time, dusting her red flannel pajama pants off.
She hoped this was appropriate for the event, it was a pajama party after all. Red flannels and an oversize, faded green tee. Nothing inappropriate, so is was probably okay.
She looked around and was relieved, bright, multi-colored pants, shorts, and an amazing amount of oversize t-shirts like hers, and a decent amount of tank tops.
Graci dug out her mini pillow and overly large blanket, draping the latter across her shoulders, and taking an elastic out of her pillow. Along with her brush, putting her now-messy hair up.
She focused on the ground beneath her feet, hoping to keep the embarrassment from her mind, scared to see the peoples reactions. It was rather cold, which was to be expected.
Gryffindor courage Graci, Gryffindor courage. Her pep talk was going well, and she dared to look up, putting on a smile. She would make some new friends/acquaintances.

♥♥♥ Xiomara loved a good pyjama party. It was such a nice way of hanging out with people whilst being comfortable - and it also meant she did not have to worry about being signficiantly out of place and underdressed for the occasion. Today, she had opted to don her favourite onesie, over a loose t-shirt and some shorts. The bright yellow onesie was a Pikachu onesie, based on a beloved muggle character from a franchise that was very popular. Whilst Pokemon might have been on the billionth generation by now, she loved Ash's Pikachu from Gen 1 and had gotten it as a gift for her birthday. It was bought in a few sizes too big for her, to be honest, so it still fit. In fact, it looked quite loose on her.
Making her way to the Ballroom, she pulled the hood up. The hood had Pikachu's "face" on it. Her hair was in loose plaits and she skipped down the corridors, pushing open the door and entering in with a small camera bag and an oversized pillow one arm. She also had her a small blanket draped around her, anticipating not being too cold since she was wearing a nice fleece onesie. She had her camera with her but she was not entirely sure if she would use. Maybe she could get a few casual shots of people or some of the event that she could add into the Headliner one day.
Scanning the room, she recognised a few familiar faces but could not spot any of her friends. Perhaps they were not here yet, or they did not plan on attending - she had not actually asked. Recognising another first year Ravenclaw, she made her way over to the girl and grinned, "Hi! You're uhhh Lucy, right?" She asked, after a moment pause as she tried to recall the girl's name. They had classes together so Xiomara should have remembered it but in truth, she could not quite recall Lucy's surname. Lucy uhhh Manning? Lucy Willows? She had no idea but she was fairly sure that the girl was called Lucy. Or was it Lucia...? Wow, Xiomara probably ought to spend more time paying attention to her housemates or classmates - or in this case, both.
"I'm Xiomara!" She continued, introducing herself to the other girl just in case she too was not entirely sure who she was! Maybe she should have gone with her full name too...
