Omah Geni, Isle of Divination, 3rd January 2026
"Mālō le folau" | "Well done on your journey"
This thread is a part of the Tenūsa Open Day Event 2026

As visitors would pour their way out of the designated port key huts they would immediately be taken back by the lush forestry of Omah Geni. Deep in the heart of the immensely tropical Isle of Divination there would be no need for heavy layers and winter fashion. No, the island was a paradise of warmth and humid to the point where those with curls better know a spell or two to keep them in control. All around them was basked in nature, fauna and flora of the rarest species were protected here and coveted every surface they could thrive upon. The village itself was made of natural materials harvested from the local area and bustled with a great sense of welcome and burst of colour.

Typically, being in the densest part of the jungle Omah Geni was only graced by small glimmers of sunlight and thus beautifully ornate lanterns hung in all shades and styles across the village. However, today was a special day, it was the welcome of the first ever Tenūsa international event and Lawrence had done everything within his power to ensure that it was to be a success. Thus with his powerful connection to the Isle as its Grand Seer and a healthy dose of plant based magic, he had guided the canopies above to part allowing a rare glimpse of the sky high above them with the mountains towering as a backdrop. The sky was as crystal clear as it could be and held no omens of changing. The perfect start to what promised to be a perfect weekend.

As witches and wizards alike began to flood through the gates, the choir would begin to sing in traditional Samoan style, a reflection of one of the many cultures that had spread their roots through the lush forestry. To most across the wizarding world it was likely a perplexing or strange performance but the music was all about community spirit; Tenūsa was home to such boundless culture that it was a key principle to keep central that life and identity within their studies.

In the centre of the large platform, that had been set up with tables and seats for people to lounge on, was a grand mahogany table laced with the finest weaved golden silk laid on top. Upon it visitors could find a vast array of food from across South East Asia and Oceania. From pad thai, laksa and pho, to lamingtons, pavlova and fairy bread, a whole selection of starters, mains and deserts was spread across the dining table ready and waiting for consumption. With space for more, those who travelled were invited to share their own traditional dishes and add to the ever growing community of culture Tenūsa fostered.

With extensive jungle to explore, local made wonders like the stained glass apiary, and the mountain of food that only grew with each guest, it was sure to be a celebration to remember. So as the portkeys began to quiet and you all begin to acclimatise to the change in hemisphere Lawrence would take the stand thanking the performers and welcoming you one and all.

"Dearest friends, or those soon to be, we welcome you humbly and gratefully to the Isle of Divination. While my predecessors often worried that opening ourselves up to the world would be a mistake, I have to disagree. Throughout my time as a student of Tenūsa I was taught that community and culture were the pillar stones of this place but if we don't share those gifts with the world, they have a way of disappearing. Which in my opinion would be a damn tragedy. So we welcome you all, from both the magical and non-magical world to be present with us, and get a sense of what makes this place so special. You may not all have entered as friends of this island, or even have known of it before today, but I assure you, we will all leave as one. United and more powerful for it."

With a wholesome sly smile, highlighting his dimples, the weathered man scanned the crowd taking in the fruits of his labour. Something he never thought would be possible being actualised and it made his worries tremble away. No prophecy would come to light this weekend, no disaster, he had foreseen only blessings and it soothed his old soul. Eyes darting towards an anomaly that drew the seer's attention he watched as a hooded figure appeared from the portkeys destination, a figure much too shadily dressed for the tropical climate. Then, as the figure perceived his curious stare they shot off down the platform hastily making their way into the jungle with a king of familiarity only a native could know. It more than sparked his interest and he without further ado announced,

"Make the most of your time here and embrace every part of yourself and each others cultures. We can learn more than we think if we open ourselves to the possibility. I will see you all very soon but pressing matters require attention. Thank you all for coming and I hope to show you exactly what we here on the island and at Tenūsa have to offer."

With a cracking pop of apparition Lawrence dematerialised leaving the crowd aghast but as more local performances began and song, dance and laughter began to fill the space. It marked the beginning of a wonderful celebration indeed.

Angel, with her friends, gathered near the tall stone archway where the portkeys were being handed out, her fingers nervously playing with the edge of her sleeve as she waited. Today is the day of their very first trip to the Isle of Divination, a place she has only heard of but never thought of going. Everyone around her was pumped up with excitement, but still, Angel was feeling butterflies in her stomach. Portkey travel was still a stranger to her; she had read about it a lot, but reading about the sudden pull behind the navel is very different from doing it.

When their group leader announced their names, Angel bit her lip and went forward with her friends. The portkey—a rusty brass lantern—started to shine a little when they all touched it. After that, the world spun. She could not make out the colors; the wind was roaring past her ears, and then with a jerk, her feet were on the ground.

“Oh boy… I am absolutely dizzy,” Angel said under her breath, putting a hand on her forehead.

However, when she looked up, the dizziness was gone and replaced by admiration.

The Isle of Divination was unveiling itself layer by layer through the soft fog. There were trees with leaves of silver and ponds that looked like mirrors as they reflected the sky. Lanterns, which were light and airy, floated above the streets to show the way to the central courtyard to the newcomers. Angel was totally out of her breath.

“I can’t believe this is real; the place is just awesome,” she said in a whisper.

She and her friends followed the crowd that was getting bigger and going toward a raised marble platform on which Headmaster Maynard was standing, wearing dark violet robes that sparkled a little. He was very welcoming as he raised his hands, his voice being warm and authoritative, greeting the new students and their first journey to the Mysteries of ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Tenūsa.

Zephyr was a strange mix of nerves and excitement as they approached the portkey. He had heard about the Isle of Divination ever since he started at Hogwarts. Everyone seemed to talk about it as some amazing place that was beautiful and full of lessons you couldn't get anywhere else. Lucky for him, he was finally going to see it for himself... in person. For someone like him who grew up in the Muggle world and was unaware of the magical world, it all sounded like a dream, almost unreal.

When his group’s names were called, Zephyr’s heart was hammering in his chest out of pure excitement now. He placed his hand on the portkey, and he felt a sudden pull in his stomach. After that, his world spun out of control. What the--- He closed his eyes tightly at the sensation and felt the wind whip past his face. He forcefully opened his eyes, more worried that he was missing something important, he saw flashes of colours he couldn’t make sense of, and then, suddenly, he was standing on solid ground, almost losing his balance. "Uh..oh...." He was dizzy for a few seconds, so he pressed a hand to his forehead. “Wow…” he muttered in disbelief. "What just happened...?"

His moment of dizziness was immediately replaced with weakness as soon as he looked around him. The Isle of Divination was like nothing he had ever imagined. The trees were massive and dense. Lanterns floated lightly over the streets to guide the newcomers toward the central courtyard. His mouth was slightly open the whole time he was taking everything around him. He had always loved nature, the fields, and the hills, but this was on another level. It was not what you call wild, the place was alive. "Are you seeing these guys? This place is amazing!" He whispered to his groupmates. He followed the crowd toward the raised marble platform, and that was when his nervousness started again.

The Headmaster stood there in dark violet robes, automatically he listened to him as he welcomed them. He discussed the importance of sharing culture, learning from one another, and how this place was special. They were invited to participate in the ceremony, so he stayed close to his group. He didn’t know exactly what to do. He watched the lanterns above them as the students and visitors talked in excited voices. Every sound was new, as if the island itself was aware of them and welcoming them.

Skylar was so nervous on her way to the port key hut. She didn’t like to be in a crowd, especially where too much energetic people gathering. However, she had already signed up for the trip because she couldn’t stand being alone in the winter all month.

Most plants in winter were in hibernation, and all of the green grass scenery was covered with white snow. There was nothing that felt alive and made her drift into a lonely mode, so she wanted to find somewhere more refreshing.

She looked around and found her friend group. Even though she only knew Rose, it was more comfortable to stay with students from the same school. But still, she was standing awkwardly in silence. The crowd made her nervous, and she became her old self again, a girl with an unintentionally arrogant face who was not pleasing other people.

After the port key sent her to its destination, she could feel there was something in her throat, but she managed to stop it before it came out. She’s a pureblood, but had to admit it was her first time not traveling by a broom. She was the type who barely went out of her comfort zone.

“It’s not cool…not cool at all.” She murmured, afraid her friend would find her weird and have a bad impression of her.

When she finally pulled herself back together, she was jumped scared by hearing the sudden clapping sound, showing her weird face again. Someone started to sing a welcoming song, reminding her that she was already on The Isle of Divination.

It took her breath away while she looked up to find herself surrounded by all kind of nature, even the rarest plant was in here. Only a bit of sunlight could come through, but the place was so bright by the beautiful lanterns hung in the shades above.

“This is so… refreshing.” She couldn’t shut her wide mouth.

Her hand grabbed her friend's shirt, and she followed behind. She didn’t know who was in front of her because she was busy, mesmerized by the scenery.

The crowd wasn’t scaring her anymore because the warm atmosphere made her feel like she was in the tree paradise, and all her daydreams became true.

Then, she snapped out of her imagining after her friend suddenly stop. Everyone seemed to be focusing on Headmaster Maynard, who was standing on the platform, welcoming all visitors.

The off-balanced footing after portkey travel was worth the Isle of Divination.

Arriving on Omah Geni he was plunged into a tropical paradise. The flora bursted with colour while the fauna buzzed with activity. The village was made entirely out of organic materials, under a parted canopy. As much as he loved the cool caverns of his home school, Anthonie had to admit this seemed to be a fine place to live. All except for a small gripe of his.

Coming from the heat of Ugandan noons Anthonie was thankful he dressed lightly as he jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire — quite literally, he thought, considering the temperature. Uagadou was not as a hot as others perceived it to be, for despite being on the equator it was high in the mountains. Shrugging off his jacket to reveal a blue polo paired with khaki shorts, he shielded his eyes and glanced at the blinding sun above before quickly looking away. One would think a forest ought to have some shade.

Focusing on more serious matters, he began his way towards the event‘a entrance, where Headmaster Maynard greeted him. In return, Anthonie offered a charming grin and a thank you for his efforts.

As they were encouraged to share their cultures through food, he had brought a dish that would surely be popular with the kids. A traditional comfort food from his South African culture, the hot, sweet porridge with its creamy milk base was certainly a centrepiece of the childhood he still remembered in such visceral detail. It was small things to hold onto like that that made it all the more memorable. Melkkos — each individually packaged in a small bowl with a spoon to complement, perfectly dusted with cinnamon powder and topped with a slice of golden butter. A small, amused smile graced his lips as a thought crossed his mind: anyone who didn’t like it was probably a psychopath.

With that in mind, he started passing the home-made dessert around.

Soon the dance and song began to quiet down and the arrivers settled, Lawrence Maynard took the stage. A weathered man Anthonie was yet to have the chance to be in interpersonal contact with (except for that brief, rushed greeting), he respected him nevertheless. Taking his seat, all eyes turned towards the stage as he began to speak. A polite smile was drawn across his lips as Maynard welcomed them, and a smirk, followed by the shake of a head, when he bluntly deemed such past conservatism a tragedy. This was the sort of radicalism young Anthonie could learn from, and perhaps one day the way to the Mountains of the Moon would open too.

Yet soon that casual smirk was replaced by lightly furrowed brows as Maynard’s attention seemed to have been caught in the distance. The headmaster did not turn, yet his eyes shifted ever so slightly to the forests at the outskirts of the feast. He looked a second too late, only catching onto the ends of the man’s hood as he entered the jungles. Curiously looking at his fellow headmaster as he hastily continued, the isle seemed to have many more secrets than first meets the eye.

For now, though, Anthonie was content as he settled himself in the surrounding laughter.
Note: you may godmod Anthonie giving you Melkkos.

Angel was with her friends near a circle of rune-marked stones, each one softly vibrating with the Isle of Divination's always-present magic. Thin silver mists were wrapping themselves around their legs, accompanied by faint voices of unfinished prophecies. The place was calm in a weirdly mystical way—the air felt like an invisible listener. She was sharing her newest attempt at dreaming with her friends, a story that they found far more amusing than she did, when the change in atmosphere suddenly halted her. A portkey had just been activated. The magic released flowed through the area like a quiet sound, making it hard not to notice on an island so sensitive to the invisible world.Angel looked toward where the portkey would take one and saw the last rays of portkey light fading. There was a tall figure standing in the midst of the vanishing light, and before she could fully comprehend what she was seeing, her breath hitched. even though he was wearing casual clothes instead of the usual Uagadou robes —she recognized him immediately from her history book. The headmaster of Uagadou... he's actually here. Her friends didn't need any explanation; the thrill on her face communicated everything. Angel made a quick exit and dashed across the divination stones, her boots echoing against the shiny black surfaces. The magic of the island was stirred with each of her steps, and small spirals of mist danced around her legs. She came to a halt at a safe distance to observe, her heart pounding with a nervous thrill that made her feel both giddy and breathless. She had read so much about Uagadou—the highly developed wandless magic, the custom of dream-based teaching, and the place that was artistically carved out of a mountainside. It always seemed to her like a distant miracle she would know only through books."Uh—you are the headmaster of Uagadou, aren't you?" Angel stated, breaking her words to control her speech. "I'm Angel. I have read about the different wizarding schools, and... is it really true that your school is carved into the side of a mountain?"

Desislava popped up from the portkey that had delivered her from Hogwarts to the Omah Geni, a jungle where an event unlike any other was preparing to take place. As far as Desi was aware, this was the first time that non-students and staff members where able to enter the sacred isle and it's land. It was quite a feat and accomplishment which she was proud to share with those who had chosen to attend such an event. And as an Alumni it would behoove her to be in attendance to show support for Lawrence, the current Grand Seer of the Isle. Having been welcomed with open arms, Desislava could only hope that this opportunity would welcome the students who had traveled from far and wide more often to show off the school and allow more participation in the Magical world.

It had been quite some time since she had been home to the humidity that graced the jungle and at once- she felt the wave in her hair become more pronounced as she raked a hand through the back of it. It would be necessary to add a protective spell to keep her hair from getting too frizzy and becoming a puffball of unmanagableness. However she would worry about her appearance later. For now, she was more interested in listening to Lawrence's words of welcome to the event taking place.

Desislava carefully carried her weekend bag with her as she made her way through the crowd, excusing herself by students she did not know and greeting those she did. A few of the students she recognized from her classes and she was ecstatic to see that they had come to support the school by participating in the event. It made her heart swell with happiness to see the curious and inquisitive minds that wanted to learn more about the elusiveness of Tenūsa's education. The choir sung a collection of traditional music of the Samoan culture as delicious aromas wafted through the air. She loved the smell of the familiar foods that she did not often get at Hogwarts now. It was lucky if she was able to at all. Her stomach grumbled but she wished to keep moving. Food could be obtained in a minute.

Desi managed to move towards the front where Lawrence was speaking. It was good to see him. She hadn't seen him in a while but they occasionally kept in touch via letters. He looked as excited as his words sounded as he welcomed the visitors to the Island and into the Jungle. It made the pride she had for her former school swell deeper in her heart. When the event had been proposed, she had agreed to be a part of it and participate rather quickly. A weekend away from Hogwarts and the frozen Scottish Highlands was exactly what she needed. Her bones and skin where not having any favors done for her because of the winds and cold air.

As Lawrence disappeared having spoken his piece, Desislava got to meandering around the setting as she refamiliarized herself with where it was she had once walked almost a decade ago. In that time, she couldn't believe what her life had led to be like since graduating. And she owed it all to the beauty that was the island.

All the granduer could wait though. The smell of fairy bread was far too alluring to pass up.

The Seer of the Sea

Tenūsa Open Day Opening Ceremony
Rose was waiting with her group to be called out. She was really excited but also nervous although not as much as she would have been if she were not with some people she knew.

Not soon after it was to her group to go to the portkey. Her nervousity rose a bit as she had never traveled with it yet. She has only heard about it. Sooner than expected they were all holding on the portkey before it started spinning around. Rose kept her eyes open to see around her although she could only see some flashing lights and everything twirling around. Suddenly her feet reached the ground as they finally arrived to their destination. She felt quite dizzy and was coming to her senses again when she looked around her. She couldn't believe it her eyes.
She glanced at her friends who were also amazed by their new surroundings.
It was magnificent.

"Wow...." she said out of words.

"So that's what the Isle of Divination is. That indeed is a fairy tail." she finally whispered quickly glancing at Zephyr since that was one of the first word she had told him and to see if he would get it.

The greatness of the trees, the colour, the flowers and the lanterns floating: everything seemed too pretty to be real. She was amazed.

At the view of all the plants surrounding them Rose couldn't help but smile and look at Skylar. She must be so happy. It may be like paradise to her.

"Skylar" she whispered not daring to speak to loud afraid of prevailing the reigning atmosphere. "Have you seen all these plants? That's amazing!"

They started walking following the lanterns leading the path as Rose couldn't stop looking around and above her.

Suddenly they stopped and she almost bumped into the person in front of her. She should have learnt by now to look in front of her while walking.

She felt quite small among the crowd who was chatting and laughing before becoming silent as the headmaster Maynard was standing in front of them on the platform to welcome them.

Ryder was debating on if he made the right choice or the wrong choice. Many things could go wrong, but a change cant be so bad. Most changes are for the better.
Yeah Right. That’s what the people want you to believe. That’s not reality at all.
Snapping out of his thoughts as he heard his name being called with a group of some people, he ran to the other kids and grabbed onto the portkey.
He has had some experience with portkeys. He came from a pureblood family. They usually travelled through floo powder, through a broomstick but usually it would be one of his house elves apparating him places, since he couldn’t himself and his parents…well they were too busy to care.
Ryder could feel himself being propelled inwards and outwards. The whole world went out of focus. And, suddenly it stopped. He managed to prevent a fall. But, just barely.
“Okay… that was… something,” he muttered as he steadied himself.
But when he finally looked up — everything inside him went quiet.
He could see the similar reactions from the kids around him all of them awestruck just as much as he felt like he was. The Isle wasn’t like Hogwarts. It wasn’t even like the forests back home. It felt alive in a way he couldn’t explain like they were watching, talking etc.
He didn’t know what he was meant to do next.
He didn’t know where they were supposed to go first.
But for once, he didn’t feel out of place.
He just felt — curious.
And that was enough.
He turned smiling genuinely to the group which was rare for Ryder, but he didn’t mind it this time. It felt good, almost like he was free.

Angel looked at her friends—Zephyr, Ryder, Skylar, and Rose—as the sparkling afterglow of teleportation disappeared around them. Her mind felt foggy, and the earth seemed to be shaking under her feet. She calmed herself with a slow breath, and with her hand still to her head, she tried to will the dizziness away.
"I don't think that I will ever get used to that method of transport," she said, half-laughing as she touched her temple with her hand. "I still feel a bit of vertigo."
The others looked at her with understanding but said nothing. They let her have her own time—something Angel had always liked about them. She inhaled another, longer breath and looked around.
"The Isle of Divination—I can't believe that we are here," she said quietly.
She felt almost as if she doubted it just by saying it. The island appeared to them as if it were a lifeless artwork, but after examining it more carefully with their eyes, they could see it was an unending expanse of pure and ancient magic that made Angel feel as if she were melting before it. The beach was covered in white crystalline sand that created a very soft sound with the footsteps of the group. Mist coiled around her legs as if it were small inquisitive spirits and left whenever she moved. Huge trees made of polished, clear crystal were scattered on the far side of the valley, and when illuminated by the two moons, they cast light on the ground in shiny bits that moved over the land like waves.
Everything was alive with enchantment.
The air had a slightly sweet and metallic smell, as if the island were breathing out new things. Very few and very strange stars were visible above remote pools of divination, and they constantly changed the patterns they made in the sky. All the stories she had heard about this place suddenly seemed laughably small and insufficient. There wasn't any explanation that could have anticipated the amazement of just being here.
Angel's heart fluttered, not out of fear but from that nice, warm, tingly feeling that is always present before something brilliant is about to happen. She looked at the people around her—Zephyr putting his satchel back in place after loosening it, Ryder gazing at the treeline in a mixture of amazement and wonder, Skylar removing the hair the wind had blown into her eyes, and Rose looking at the light-giving plants very patiently—all silently. But they were there, nonetheless, being firm and sure.
Angel beamed.
"I'm sure that we'll have loads of fun while we are here," she said, the emotion rising from within her, conquering the stillness of the dizziness. "Don't you think so?"
The island responded by returning an almost inaudible, far-off chime, very much like the ringing of some invisible set of bells—inviting them to come on.
With one last breath to gather her courage, Angel stepped off the landing that shone ahead, and in silence, her companions followed her. Hand in hand, they set off to meet however many enigmas of the Isle of Divination were to be theirs.
