She often wears a linen shirt and a wool knitted sweater, paired with a mid-thigh length skirt during the rainier periods of the year. Whenever the sun does decide to come out, she trades her warm sweaters for something lighter, like a nice dress shirt or a flowy blouse. The colours she wears during winter are usually deep and rich compared to the colours she chooses for the summer period, which are light and airy. |

Samantha's personality is shaped for a big part by her mother and grandmother Beaumont. Because her father was often at work for long days, Samantha spent many hours with either her mother homeschooling her or her grandmother teaching her French or how to play the harp. Both her mother and grandmother are strict and demanding, shaping Samantha into someone who craves perfection with everything she does. |

__ | ── RESERVED AND QUIET Samantha has never been much of a socialiser, no matter how much her mother and grandmother Beaumont have tried to push her. Her father had her try out for the girls' soccer team near their apartment and even drove her to a couple of training sessions. Unfortunately, due to her nature, she hadn't really fit in well with the other girls or bonded with them in any way. After many whiny car rides to and from training sessions, her father eventually let her quit the team. She liked being by herself, reading books, or even just watching the outside world through her bedroom window. Because Samantha is a rather quiet and private person, others can perceive her as distant or even distrustful. Only time will tell whether she will stay the reclusive girl she is as of now, or if she'll become the extrovert her mother's side of the family so desperately wishes she'd become. |

── ORGANISED AND DIRECT She can be very direct in speaking to someone. Whenever there is a group assignment in class, she will be very opinionated in the way they should get to work and will often take the lead, whether the other person prefers it that way or not. She doesn't make compromises or take no for an answer. Everything in her life is neatly organised; the miscellaneous things in her trunk, the stack of books next to her bed, even the way she has placed everything in her bag. From alphabetical order to colour schemes, everything is organised one way or another. That way, not even a hair is out of place and in her eyes, nothing can go wrong. Her organising habit makes her believe she is in control of almost everything in her life, even over things she factually has no control over. This belief of control over everything and everyone will most certainly be tested by the many different people she will meet at Hogwarts. |

__ | ── NAIVE AND INNOCENT Samantha was homeschooled by her mother before she got her acceptance letter for Hogwarts. She could only call the two children from next door her friends. The girl next door, Hannah, had always believed the good in people, choosing to be kind most of the time and never turning down anyone in need of assistance. Hannah had rubbed off on Samantha with some of her optimism, causing Samantha to start believing the same. The fairytale books she loved reading hadn't really helped her with shaping a realistic view of people; no matter how much her mother tried to force her to read more literary novels, she still held onto her own books tightly. Still, her worldview wasn't entirely based on storybooks alone. Her mother and grandmother made sure she didn't look through rose coloured glasses all the time, but Samantha would secretly dream of some Prince Charming waiting for her somewhere out there anyway. |

Samantha is a half-blood; her mother is a pureblood, while her father is a muggle-born. They live in London in a big apartment on the fourth floor and they're quite well-off. Her father, William Jones, is an orthopedic surgeon, so he has long workdays, meaning Samantha doesn't often spend time with him. He loves his work, so he never says no when they need someone on call. Her mother, Dianne Jones - Seymour, works at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic just like her parents once did. Neither of Samantha's parents were often present during their workdays, usually having a nanny over or dropping her off at her grandmother's, Maryvonne Beaumont's, house. Sometimes her favorite aunt, Lillian Thorne, would also be at her grandmother's house, but that was a rare occurrence as they didn't get along well. Samantha's grandmother has had a big influence on Samantha's upbringing. Maryvonne has taught Samantha French, proper etiquette, how to play the harp, among many other things. Still, while Samantha learnt a great deal from her grandmother, she also deeply disliked the woman. She always had to at least criticize one thing about whatever Samantha was doing, whether it was her slouchy posture during dinner, or how she missed a note while playing the harp, nothing was ever good enough for her grandmother. Samantha blamed it on her grandfather's, Gerald Seymour's, passing in 2019. Ever since then, she has lived alone in their large country home in Bedfordshire, and has made everyone else's business her own. |

_ | While Samantha isn't particularly fond of her mother's side of the family, her father's side is a different story completely. Her paternal grandmother, Miriam Jones, has always had a soft spot for Samantha. Her paternal grandfather, Harry Jones, was the same. Harry loves building model trains and Samantha loves to watch him. They often spend summer afternoons in silence together as he builds model trains and Samantha snacks on strawberries from their garden. Miriam and Harry are easy-going, much like her father, and always very welcoming. With them, she didn't have to be perfect, she could just be a child. Miriam and Harry had four children; one boy and three girls. The eldest, Katherine, is a sharp lawyer like Harry once was. Samantha isn't very close with her. Then comes William, Samantha's father. After that, Susan Thompson. She's a kindergarten teacher, often helping Samantha with her homework whenever she was visiting. Susan is closest with William out of all of his sisters. Natasha Jones is the youngest of the four, studying to become a veterinarian. Sadly, Samantha isn't particularly fond of animals, finding them unpredictable, and often steering away from them. |

Being homeschooled meant Samantha didn't make many friends. The only two friends she had were her next door neighbors; Hannah and Finn. Hannah was her age while Finn was a year older. She got along well with Hannah, since they both like reading and writing a lot. They spent many afternoons writing and performing plays for their parents or the younger kids in the neighborhood. Whenever Samantha's mother had a day off, she would take them to the library nearby to let them pick a book to read for that week. Samantha's father tried to make her join the local girls' soccer team to make more friends, but she had a hard time fitting in. Her first instance of magic was during an argument with her mother. They were in Samantha's room and during the argument, she screamed and the books flew off the shelves that were next to her desk. |

IN HER BAG
Everything in Samantha's bag is neatly organized in different compartments. She has the book she is currently reading closest to her side, along with her diary. In the middle of her bag she has things she needs at hand, like her wand, her quill, and whatever books she needs for class along with some parchment paper. Furthest away from her she holds things like a small travel bottle of perfume, some make-up, a coin pouch, a compact mirror, some things for her hair, and her wizard chess pieces.

Everything that doesn't fit in her bag has a special place for in her trunk on the end of her bunkbed. She has some old fairytale books she brought from home, a lilac hand cream for her dry skin, letters she has received at Hogwarts so far, a handheld mirror she got from her mother, a scarf, her stuffed bunny (which is on her bed most of the time), a tiara she used a lot in plays back home, extra sweaters, and a music box her grandmother had gifted her for her birthday a few years ago. |
