Christmas Cards '25 Errand

Happy holidays! I hope you have a wonderful time with your brother and parents. You're lucky with your family. I wish I could visit you. I hope I don't have to visit dreadful Grandmother Beaumont this year, although it is likely that I will. She always wants me to play the harp for hours on end. And I'll have to speak in French most of the time there to practice. It's absolutely horrible. My parents and I will probably head to her country house in Bedfordshire to have a big dinner with my mother's side of the family. I don't like my mother's side of the family much; they're all far too demanding. All except Auntie Lilly, she's wonderful. But then again, nobody in the family really likes her apart from me. They all call her "derailed and lost". She really isn't; she's just sad sometimes because Uncle Elliot died, which is perfectly reasonable. The rest of the family is just mean. He was really nice and actually funny. On another note, I really miss our plays we'd perform a bit before Christmas. I haven't been able to write much here, I'm far too busy with schoolwork unfortunately. But don't worry, I'll write again once I have made time and then I'll send it to you! Have you been writing any interesting plays without me? Or performing in anything at school? And what plans do you have for Christmas? I can't wait to come home to London in the summer so we can catch up. For now, Merry Christmas, Hannah. And a happy New Year.

𝓓ear Mom and Dad,

Happy Holidays! I cannot wait to come home for a few days to celebrate Christmas with the family. Auntie Lilly wrote me and told me we'd be celebrating Christmas at Grandmother Beaumont's house, is that true? Why not dad's side? We already visited mom's side last year and the year before. I like them, of course, but why not go see Aunties Kathy, Sue, and Nat? They all sent me letters, telling me they were looking forward to seeing me again! Wouldn't it be lovely if we spent some time with them as well and not spend the entire weekend at Grandmother Beaumont's home? Maybe we could do an early lunch with dad's family and then move to yours, mom? I was also thinking of changing our usual routine and doing another activity after dinner besides playing the harp and piano. I know you can play wonderfully mom. I absolutely love listening to you play on the piano, but can't we maybe watch a movie with the family or play a board game? Even read in front of the fireplace in silence maybe? I know Grandmother Beaumont isn't the most keen on playing games, but what if it's a calm game we can play with everyone? I was just hoping to do something else besides playing the harp for Grandmother Beaumont. Let me know what's possible and I'll see you soon!
