HistoryReducioAmelia was born on the 4th of June as the daughter of two loving, kindly muggles - Marcus and Livinia. The girl was spoilt with love and kindness by the couple and the first years of her life were seemingly uneventful. She lived in a house in a relaxed town near the bustling city. and enjoyed a life that seemed to center around her.
It seemed, however, that all of Amelia’s early life was not destined to be easy. It was at the young age of 5 that Amelia’s father took ill and, after surgery, weeks of hope and kindly last words, died. The grief had had terrible effect to Amelia’s mother and she departed swiftly. It was then that the small child was left in the care of her grandparents. Maggie and Kurt were kindly soles and, while completely surprised and upset by their daughter’s sudden disappearance, took great pleasure in taking in Amelia.
From then the young girl grew up on the farm in Slad, Gloucestershire with her grandparents. The house was cosy, filled with a great collection of antique items of her grandparents and always smelt of delicious food. At first, Amelia had taken interest in the farm and it’s inhabitants but as she grew, the more she would be found in a hay loft cozying up with a book.
Soon, Amelia had started school and settled into her new life in the town. It wasn’t to say it was perfect, merely that it was almost lucky (or perhaps the opposite) that her early memories had faded. She often felt sadness for her departed father, but often her emotions framed sadness and anger at her mother’s abandonment.
The town, while small in population, seemed to have a great many of her grandparents age, and due to the lack of children. The town’s education didn’t quite suit the academic girl’s interest and she seemed to learn more studying herself. Friendships in the town were sorely lacking for Amelia too, for the combination of lack of children and a small incident of oddness had caused the girl to be not highly wanted as a friend. It was to the unfortunate fact that the only person Amelia considered a friend of sorts that was her age at home, was a her neighbor’s son, who occasionally came to help out on the farm for a little pocket money or attend celebrations, and had an entertaining imagination.
Amelia’s life was filled with books, her attempts at learning piano, the farm’s coming and going’s and her many ideas - something most would be somewhat content with.
It had been an eventful day when Amelia had been invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her grandfather had laughed cheerily at what he assumed was a joke, before highly complimenting the informer on their acting, while her grandmother had offered freshly baked scones and replaced the flowers on the table in the most relaxed, amused manner. Amelia had been the only one who had sat still, half-believing that such a thing as magic did exist. It had seemed she was a witch.

ReducioIt could be said that young Amelia was an odd child, and perhaps this was the reason for her lack of friendships. But magical? Why of course that was impossible!
It was a small amount of luck that Amelia’s first instance of magic was when she was 6, after an especially lonely day at school, the girl felt strong emotions of sadness and anger at her abandoning mother and her departed father, alone in the area of the house. The small photo that had stood on a tall cupboard, which framed the couple moments after they were wed laughing together, was being glared at by the small child who had entered the room and was situated on the other side of the room. A moment passed and then, with a violent clatter, the glass of the frame fell broken onto the ground.
Confused as any innocent child would be, Amelia had no answer for when her grandmother entered the room looking concerned. At the elderly woman’s assumption of the child having tripped, the young Amelia made no effort to correct her, for gaping in confusion had seemed her easiest response.
Not all of the child’s early instances of unintentional magic were like this; there were times when she was enjoying herself on the farm and flowers would fly around her, a rabbit stuck in a hole and when the great waft of horror and concern struck her it was suddenly free. These seemed like interesting, yet ridiculous daydreams to the small child

It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!
