It was bittersweet in a way, entering the field sans Cec. It almost felt like a sin on their part. It was too bad that Cec had actually earned her place as a Ravenclaw and passed her OWLs, because if she had failed maybe she would still be hanging out with them. Erm, not that Winnie wanted her to fail, she just really missed her.

Bex had been great, though. Winnie found that a 12 year old telling her what to do terrified her more than someone who was her senior. Plus, after their truth or drink game, she was pretty positive the brunette knew her darkest secrets.

With her broom clenched in her right hand, Winnie took to the air, the hair she had gathered into a pink ribbon streaming behind her as she started doing laps around the stadium.

This would be Ophelia's second official Quidditch game playing for her house's team. Or, at least, being benched on Ravenclaw's team. And she couldn't help but compare both the games. The first difference? The terrible weather. While the sun had been shining during Ravenclaw's victory, the sunshine was now hidden beneath rain clouds.

The second difference? Her best friend @Quinn Brook wouldn't be sitting next to her the whole game anymore, cheering along with her. Instead, the other girl would be up in the skies, playing. While she knew that's what Quinn had wanted, it still felt sad that she'd have to endure the stress of watching this game (and potentially playing in it) alone.

Still, Ophelia would be sitting on the bench with her hands tightly wrapped around her broom, watching her friend and cheering her on.

Her shoes squeaked as she shuffled onto the pitch, broom in right hand and bat in the other. As Ebony took off into the air, she looked up into the dull grey sky. The rain battered hard onto her, flattening her hair and soaking her uniform. Usually, she wasn't particularly bothered by glum weather; it was sometimes even welcoming, serving as a break from the relentless sunshine that Ebony very much disliked. But today, it wasn't so optimal; the heavy rain and wind was making her fingers numb and obstructing her vision. The only thing she could do was tighten her grip on the broom and blink the water away.

With the advent of October came torrential rain, and apparently the end of Koko's content smiles.

Koko entered the Quidditch Stadium with her shoulders turned slightly inwards, her head ducked – anything to help her avoid the worst of the rain. She glanced around through narrowed eyes and the blurriness of raindrops that caught on her lashes. Thank Merlin she wasn't a Seeker. She couldn't imagine having to stare upwards in this weather.

The small seventh year was quiet and moody, as per usual. The curtain of rain only served to cause her more contrition. She could only hope her ponytail would remain firmly in its place at the back of her head. The idea of spitting soaked strands of stray hair out of her mouth was sickening.

She would offer @Avery Chen a small wave and a curt nod before mounting her broom and taking off. Those who arrived later would receive a similar greeting. Pleasantries were not quite her priority. She could always tell them, 'We can do this!' or 'Do your best!' but with Slytherin, this should not have to be said. They would always do their best, but actions spoke louder than words.

Enganação. This literally means "cheat" and is a basically the art of sleight of hand for Brazilian Quiddich players. When a Quiddich player attempts to use the "cheat" action where they attempt to cast a spell while in a game, they succeed once per game automatically. Must declare alongside cheat action. All subsequent attempts to cheat have a 10% automatic "not noticed by the spectators" effect.

It was Charlie's first game of the new school year. The team was missing their old captain and it felt wrong to be getting ready for the game without her. Their new captain was a second year, which felt weird to Charlie, taking orders from someone significantly younger than her.

Stepping out onto the pitch, Charlie took a deep breath of the wet fall air, and looked at the shimmering hoops that would be hers to guard. Since the weather had been so miserable, Charlie hadn't been out much and was glad to be playing her first game this season.

Quinn was elated. Happy. Enthusiastic. She was playing her first real match. Like playing playing. She was going to be in the air the whole game (unless she fell but she didn't want to think about that). Unfortunatly there was a problem. Her best friend @Ophelia Northwell would be on the bench. Not playing and having fun with her. Also it was raining, hard. Quinn waved to Ophelia as she walked onto the wet pitch. Gripping her broom tightly she took a deep breath. Time to start off the first quidditch game with a bang! Quinn thought.

𝓣he nerves her first game as co-captain invoked were dulled by two things: one, still being on the bench meant she could sit back and let Lavinia handle the actual on-field strategy, while she was able to keep an eye on everyone below, and two, clutched between her hands was Aly's old Silver Arrow, a gift from the older girl that she still sometimes thought would disappear when she blinked. She'd yet to name it - the two of them had hardly gotten to know each other, yet, and she wasn't sure she'd earned the right - but underneath the words Aly Salinger that had been carved into the handle was now Rebecca Lark.

Two generations of Ravenclaw Quidditch dedication. She hoped she could live up to the legacy.

Bundled up in her wellie boots and raincloak, she took her seat on the bench with the others. She gazed across at them all, some of them familiar faces after her year on the team, but with a couple of new additions. Addressing their two newest @Uri Davies and @Maeve Blanchett, she asked, having to raise her voice over the sound of the rain, "Are you two ready for your first game?"
