The Girl Who Wanted to Be a Palmist
Thank God, it was Friday. Sereia had now spent a solid two weeks and a bit teaching which, frankly, went by a lot faster than she expected. She expected long days talking to walls and loneliness, but the staff had been very supportive and welcoming and she had a few good students. Still, she was very tired and an evening to herself was much needed.
Sereia looked around her office one more time before walking out and closing the door behind her. She never locked her office out of trust for everyone; so far, the student body and faculty hadn't given her a reason to be so cautious. As she walked down the stairs to the classroom, three knocks came at the door.
She raised an eyebrow. "Come in!"
For a Friday evening, she was not expecting anyone, nor did she have plans with another staff member or help a student with their Divination homework. Tomorrow, she would grade all the essays that came in earlier today and, as far as she remembered, nobody asked for an extension. Sereia took that as a sign that she was doing a good job at teaching; if no one was asking for extensions, then that meant her homework was not a burden.
