New Year New People
German | English | Sadie | Georg | Bax | MalakaiLucian sat at the table watching all the new firsties get sorted. He remembered when that was him up there, being sorted by that very same hat as he hoped to be in the same house as Alice. Alas, he was announced a Slytherin but it was the best thing that could have happened to him. He loved being a snake, and even though being a snake lead to the altercation between him and Ava, he loved the support from his friends afterwards. Friends he probably wouldn’t be so close with if he hasn’t been sorted here.
Someone caught his eye as they moved to get sorted. The hat said their name was @Rodney Hughes and that name didn’t ring a bell but his face did. It looked like Luci’s. Hey, there was something familiar about him… Lucian watched as he got sorted to the Badgers and followed him all the way until he sat down. (If Rodney would like) Luci would catch his eye for a split second before gazing away and if not then he would simply stare at him until the hat sorted the next Slytherin.
He drove his limited attention away from the mysterious doppelgänger and to his own table. He remembered when he spoke to Ree and Avery on this very table, this very day but a year prior. He remembered the first time walking down to the common room. A scared introverted firstie. And now look. He feels more at home here than his London home sometimes. He feels safe. Because of his friends, his house prefects as well as the professors. After watching Headmaster Lear blow a hole in his dormitory wall, Lucian always trusts that the Headmaster has all of their best interests at heart. Sure, a simpe repairing charm could fix it… but the sentiment stays.

Hogwarts Slytherin Robes

September 1 (10:09 pm)The now 2nd year girl sat near the middle of the Slytherin table seeing the new first years get sorted. She was quite far away from her brother who sat near his friends at the front. The ceremony was boring at best but at least there was something going on. Ara was zoning out for most of it, she didn't really care as long as the Slytherin population was growing smoothly.
She looked at the main event for a few seconds and saw something or someone in her peripheral vision. A boy that looks like the one in front of her. She wasn't paying much attention to the things around her but she was still knowledgeable of it so she noticed. 'Holy hell, the resemblance. They look identical.' she thought. The girl dropped the topic after a bit, remembering that siblings existed.
Ara remembered being sorted a year ago, it was a more awkward than a proud moment really. The Sorting hat was just mumbling above her head debating if she was going to be in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. She ended up being Slytherin. After she was sorted, she recalled her brother patting her head while bragging that Slytherin was the best house ever while her older sister clapped for her from the other table. Now she knew what at least some of the older students felt like during the Sorting Ceremonies they had to spectate throughout their Hogwarts life. Bored.Open to interactionRP Word Count: 241/200

New Year New People
Astra felt confident as she made her way to the Slytherin table. Unfortunately, this spark was quickly extinguished when she had to find a spot to sit. She didn't see anyone she'd met on the train, and the few first years already sorted were deep in conversation with people already. The scrutinizing gazes of the older years didn't help.
She found a rather sparse spot near the middle of the table and made a beeline for it. There was a boy there, watching the Sorting with a mild interest, and a girl who looked to be completely out of it. They didn't look too much older than, Astra, third years at the most.
She sat down quietly beside the boy, turning her attention up front. Should I introduce myself? No, they might be interested in the Sorting. Maybe they have a sibling in it.
But they will be my housemates, so maybe? Astra couldn't make up her mind, so she just sat there in anxious silence, pinching at the skin between her thumb and forefinger to keep from freaking out too much. She vaguely wondered how many more kids were left. She was kinda hungry now that she was off the train. I wonder what the food will be like.
