Lucian was excited. Today was the day that his close friend Beatrice Dupont would come over and they would have a sleepover! Lucian spied his… urm friend, Ash, as he was also staying over. He has been here for a few days. "Ash! Kas will be here soon" he called to him, a big grin on his face. He was basically vibrating with excitement.

He looked at the time and groaned, still a few minutes to wait before she came. Lucian, Ashley and Beatrice were having a sleepover! It was very much a last minute thing but Bea was going to grandparents in a few weeks and Lucian didn’t want to go the whole summer without seeing her so he was thankful when this was arranged!

"Luci! Ash! Are you dressed?" Sadie called at the door. Lucian looked at Ash who was dressed.

"I’m in me jammies and Ash is dressed," Lucian replied, hopping on his bed. The woman walked in, she too was dressed. "Hey mum,"

"Morning boys," she greeted, sending Ash a smile. She liked the other boy and felt that he was a good friend for Lucian, he was also the first friend her angel had had around in a while. "Are you excited for Beatrice to come round?" she questioned, a glint in her eye that Luci couldn’t quite place. She had directed the question at both of them.

"I can’t wait!" Lucian replied loudly, looking at Ash. He hoped he was also excited. "It’s still a while before she comes though,"

"No funny business better go on in here. You’re lucky that Ashley is here or else I wouldn’t let you two sleep in here," Lucian rolled his eyes at the comment, why? Why wouldn’t he be allowed to if Ash wasn’t here? Luci did know that his mother thought he had a crush on the fellow Slytherin and he felt gross whenever she implied it. Kas was his friend! His close friend at that and the thought of being her boyfriend makes him feel sick to be honest.

"Yes, yes, mother. I shan’t so much as breathe her way," his voice was full of sarcasm. Sadie didn’t pay him much mind as she turned her attention to their guest.

"Make sure he is gentlemanlike," she said to Ash, a smile on her face and then turned back to Lucian with a suspicious look before smiling and leaving.

Lucian groaned and flopped on the floor. "What do you wanna do while we wait?" Luci asked, looking at Ashley now with caring eyes. His previous excited body calmed down as he stared at his crush friend.

No.

Lucian wasn’t ashamed or scared anymore to admit that Ashley was his crush. He had felt it ages ago but never had the courage to act on his feelings.

"Wait have you ever met her before?" ah yes, "Oh wait. You met her at the Dupont Fest?"

Ashley had been anticipating today because he would spend the night at Lucian's place. To his astonishment, Beatrice Dupont had also been invited, which added to the excitement. Beatrice had captured Ashley's heart since she struck her as a very cool girl to hang out with. In the broom racing match they had been taking part in, they both displayed incredible teamwork, and the Ravenclaw gentleman had been anticipating hanging out with the lass ever since.

The child had been casually perusing through a book when he overheard Lucian say...

"Ash! Kas will be here soon"

The young man was beaming with anticipation as he awaited Beatrice's arrival. "Are you kidding me, babe? She's so cool!" The thrill was no longer able to remain hidden. And to his surprise, it was the first time he had called Lucian "babe." He didn't even appear embarrassed to having done it, and he seemed to be hoping his "babe" liked it when the boy called him that.

Although the youngster wanted to share his deep unhappiness with someone he cared deeply about, he instinctively knew that doing so would break him, the other lad. It is important to note that underneath all of that joy, the boy was actually very unhappy.

Mrs. Mornstern had entered the room and greeted the boys. Despite being nice, Ashley found the woman endearing since she seemed to treat even Ashley with the same consideration as if he were her son. Shortly after she had uttered, "Morning boys,". Greeting the two young men so warmly. Ashley responded by wishing Mrs. Mornstern a good morning.
When asked if they were happy that Beatrice was coming, Ashley squealed with real excitement forgetting about the secret that he held, "She is sooo cool like your son mam, they are both cool," and smiled politely after saying that.

Ash gazed into Lucian's eyes and smiled at him with a tiny smirk on his face as he met his eyes after he had expressed excitement. After that, he focused on Mrs. Mornstern, only to hear her utter, "No funny business better go on in here. You’re lucky that Ashley is here or else I wouldn’t let you two sleep in here,"

The boy couldn't control his laughing as it immediately came out. " Mrs. Mornstern need not worry; I will keep an eye on him all night." Ashley turned to face Lucian to see his reaction, and as soon as he said that, his cheeks began to flush.

"Make sure he is gentlemanlike," "You can count on me," the Ravenclaw youngster replied after nodding in accord to the woman's statement.

She had left...

Now that they were by themselves in the room, the two boys appeared to be idle. What would they do while they awaited Beatrice, Lucian questioned. Ashley had nothing on his mind, to be completely honest. "Lucian I-" he said before stopping himself from revealing what troubled him.

He then inquired as to whether they had previously met, and the Ravenclaw boy nodded in agreement after he said that. They had met so at the Dupont fest and Broom Racing race. However, he was still able to show signs of melancholy, and they were visible on his face. he would miss such moments, He would miss him...

It was an early morning at the Dupont Manor. Beatrice, her mother and her siblings sat in the tea room, enjoying breakfast. The door stood wide open, leading the sun and fresh air into the house. Chirping birds could be heard from outside and the smell of fresh bread filled the house. It was an idyllic picture, especially with Adelaide purring in the sun nearby and Konstantin Dupont coming into the room, placing a kiss on his wife's head and petting Beatrice's head while walking by. The perfect family. Mrs. Dupont was dressed in a long summer skirt and a white short sleeved button up made of silk, matching her husband who was wearing light colored suit pants and a linen short sleeved button up. Beatrice was wearing something quite similar and so were Edith and Calliope with their cream colored dresses, Benedict in the same outfit as his father. And perhaps everything was indeed perfect in this moment. There was light chattering accompanied by a soft piano tune and everything felt at peace. Until it did not. Soon letters arrived and while Beatrice's father looked through them, groaning every now and then, her mother's face turned into a stern expression. Calliope and Benedict were bickering and Edith asked once again, why she could not accompany Beatrice at their Grandparents Manor and leave with her next week. Sighing, Beatrice plopped another piece of honey melon into her mouth and poked a blueberry with her fork. Her long hair was held back by a white headband today and if you looked close enough, you could see the letters B.D. imprinted onto the side, in a golden color. She was incredibly happy to be able to leave soon and spend some time with Lucian and Ashley. Her Mother had only allowed it because she held Sadie in such high regard and had been assured that nothing would happen to Beatrice.

After Breakfast, the only thing that was left to do was getting her Satchel filled with the needed supplies and clothes. Then it was time to leave. Beatrice said goodbye to her siblings and put her wand into her pocket, before picking up Adelaide. Her Mother had already left the house to go to Diagon Alley so it was Konstantin who would accompany Beatrice. „We will be traveling by Floo.” said her father while he walked past her. He had changed into black suit pants and a silky white button up. Presenting was all he cared for, today and every other day. Beatrice nodded in return, stepping into the fireplace. Adelaide was pressed tightly against Beatrice's chest. She was quite unsure how this type of traveling could affect a cat but she very much hoped that it would be fine. Her Father took a handful of floo powder and said their destination with a loud and clear voice. It took no time to arrive at Lucian's house and as soon as they stepped out of the fireplace, Beatrice recognized that they were in a Library. Two leather chairs stood in the room and the interior design was (to a large part) made of dark wood. It looked quite nice. „Mrs. Mornstern.” her father greeted Lucian's mother with a nod and Beatrice finally noticed her too. She had been way to busy with looking around. „Good Morning.” Beatrice said politely, a soft smile spread across her lips. She took a quick look at Adelaide but the cat seemed just fine, which was quite a big relief to Beatrice. „Hello Mr Dupont, Beatrice. The boys are upstairs, Beatrice, if you want to go. Darla can show you the way. I can assure you, Mr Dupont, your daughter is in safe hands. I’ve heard a lot about her from my sweet angel" Beatrice smiled at Mrs. Mornstern and nodded. „Of course, thank you.” she answered and said goodbye to her father, before starting to walk with the house elf. Although she distanced herself from the room, she could still hear Lucian's mother ask if there was anything she needed to know. It did not take long to arrive at Lucian's room and she saw the two boys sitting on Lucian's bed. She thanked the house elf quickly before walking in. „Hello boys.” she said with a wide grin, setting Adelaide down.

Lucian felt a tingle go from his heart to his toes when he was called "babe" by this boy in front of him. He liked that. He had never been called that before, some mums call their children that but whenever she heard it, Lucian’s mum stuck her nose up at it; “No word to call your child,” she would say adamantly, sending a disgusted glance at them. Lucian grinned when he realised his own sentiment toward the Slytherin girl was shared. Gosh, could this lad in front of him get any better?

Sadie walked into the room and greeted them both and Lucian felt himself blushing again when he was compared to Kas like that. "You’re not too shabby yourself ba- uh lad," Lucian corrected, damn it! Luci was going to share the pet name but remembered they had a third person in the room. Lucian looked at Ashley and hoped his eyes conveyed his hidden desire. Ash then started to laugh while Lucian grumbled and crossed his arms. Lucian almost choked on his own saliver at Ashley’s words, saving himself from almost dying with a well timed cough. Huh. So he was going to keep his eyes on him all night?

Lucian’s mum then left and Ashley revealed they had indeed met before. "Of course! The fest!" Lucian exclaimed, "Oh, I didn’t know you had met beforehand," he said. Lucian looked at Ash. He didn’t look as happy as he had been. "You okay?"

Perhaps the other boy was just nervous? For Lucian this was his first sleepover since he was bitten by the wolf. Sometimes the boy does wonder what became of the wolf. One second he was on top of him, the next a bright light and a thump but it had all been a whirlwind of events. Events that, when he woke up in St Mungo’s, was all a blur really.

"Hello boys!" Lucian was shook out of his head when he saw his bubbly friend. A massive grin spread about his face as he walked over and engulfed her in a hug, when they broke apart that’s when he noticed the cat.

Lucian immediately kneeled down and reached out to the furry creature. "Hi Kas!" then he turned back to the cat and scratched the top of her head. "Hiii," Lucian turned to Spyro who was safely in his vivarium. "You have competition!" he said in jest.

Lucian looked like he had fallen from the clouds when he saw Beatrice and a wide grin spread across his face. Beatrice's own lips turned into a smile as she opened her arms to welcome her friends hug. She wrapped them around him tightly. „Missed me already? It's only been a couple days.” she asked with a grin before letting him go and waving at Ashley. Lucian seemed to be smitten by Adelaide immediately, however, the furry creature did not seem too keen to interact with the boy. She let him scratch her head for just a second, before evading and running in a different direction. Beatrice had noticed that she was a little scared of Men sometimes and so Adelaide preferred to flee behind her owners legs. „This is Adelaide. She is probably just a bit scared right now but I am sure that will be fixed soon.” she smiled at Lucian before looking over at Spyro in his vivarium. „You should probably keep him in there for a bit, I am not sure how Precious will react to him.” she chuckled, watching Adelaide explore a corner of the room. Beatrice finally walked into the room and sat her Satchel down carefully. Her wand was tugged into her belt loops, secure but ready to be taken out. Beatrice had never been in Lucian's room. Her eyes wandered over the furniture and windows before looking back at the boys. „So, what do we want to do? Got anything fun planned?” Beatrice's lips parted with a flawless smile, as she pushed some stray hairs out of her face.
