Aubrey attended Hogwarts and was a student of Ravenclaw. She was deeply interested in music before she attended Hogwarts, but over her years at Hogwarts, she would watch her friends practice music in the practice rooms and grew to have a love for all aspects of it, from singing to dancing to performing. Although she had attended Hogwarts at the same time as Marcus, the two had never interacted, and she met him at a production of Much Ado About Nothing when she’d decided to give a Shakespeare production a go.

Marcus attended Hogwarts and was a student of Hufflepuff, like Harmony. He had a very muggle childhood as his parents wanted to give him experience in both magical and muggle worlds, and had been a part of several youth theatre shows, turning him into a fully-fledged theatre kid. While at school, he was known to have an inability to do anything blandly and is still dramatic to this day. Although he had attended Hogwarts at the same time as Aubrey, the two had never interacted, and he met her at a production of Much Ado About Nothing.

Melody Rosalind Hollins

Melody is almost two years older than Harmony, but due to their matching names, almost identical looks, and the amount of time they spend together, they are commonly thought to be twins. Both sisters followed in their parents’ footsteps of having a passion for music and the stage, but Melody leans further towards their mother’s passions of musical theatre, singing, and dancing, while Harmony leans towards their father’s Shakespeare and Literature.
Melody’s lack of magic: Although Melody’s name was the tune stereotypically thought to be superior, the Hollins parents worked to make sure neither of the sisters felt inferior or superior to the other, rather, they worked well in their own way and only sounded even better when together. Despite the work of their parents, a subconscious tension grew between the sisters when Harmony accidentally shattered their windows with magic as a child and Melody continued to age without a sign of magic. Melody hit her 11th birthday without so much as a stray owl through their dining room window, and it was confirmed: she was a squib.

Emily
Species: Snowy owl

When Aubrey and Marcus were looking for an owl to join their family and act as a messenger, Emily caught their eye with her piercing gaze; a gaze that soon became a well-known aspect of her personality. A bird named after the intelligent Emily Dickinson, Emily not only stares into the soul as if you are the most stupid being she has encountered but she also has an uncanny intelligence to go with this glare of superiority. Despite her haughty appearance, she does care deeply for her humans (and Lord Byron, unfortunately) and expresses this love through physical abuse(flapping in your face, pecking at your clothes, sitting on your head and tangling your hair, etc).

Species: Eastern screech owl

Lord Byron was an accident. One morning after Emily had been sent off with the family’s letters, he came barreling through the air and smacked face-first into the closed window of the dining room. Undeterred, he steadied himself for flight and tried again, smacking even harder into the window and sliding to the ground. Aubrey opened the window to let the owl in and he gratefully fluffed his feathers and lifted off again, only to shoot straight up into the opened window. By this time, Melody and Harmony were in slightly concerned hysterics, and Marcus went outside to collect the owl from further self-injury.
Lord Byron is a small bird with a single brain cell pinging around his skull. He has a flair for the dramatics and endeared himself to a reluctant Emily by constantly pestering her with his presence.

Edgar
Species: Egyptian Mau

Harmony found Edgar on a totally super duper legal birthday trip to Hogsmeade with Alyssea Brown. Edgar was just a small cat, but was alone and had taken it upon himself to protect the other cat he’d been found with(who then went on to be adopted by Alyssea). Harmony then took Edgar in and gave him a home, where he could pretend to be a fierce defender of the weak(Harmony) all he liked. Edgar likes to be carried or to sit on Harmony’s upper body to exude a superiority that no one believes. He is very protective for a tiny ball of fluff and views most new things as potential threats until very easily proven otherwise

✧ The Backstory ✧

✧ HISTORY .

With both parents (both half-blood) having theatre backgrounds, Harmony naturally became a theatre kid. Her family frequented The Globe Theatre, where she developed a love for Shakespeare that was furthered by a friend she met. Harmony's attachment to her friend was reflected in her attachment to the one hobby that connected them and, although the two have since drifted, Harmony's love for theatre and English remained. Along with Shakespeare, Harmony has participated in dance for several years and loves to sing, both skills leading her to ensemble roles in musical productions.
Growing up with very open parents, Harmony tries to keep opinions objective when it comes to others. When it comes to herself, however, she finds it more difficult. A 'gifted kid', she has high expectations for herself. She tends to overthink interactions and worries needlessly about relationships with friends, but when she has something or someone she loves, she loves strongly. Harmony is very creative due to an artsy upbringing and likes to daydream.

. FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC ✧
Harmony was too young for her to remember, but her parents enjoy telling the story of when young Harmony was jumping on the couch while her parents prepared lunch in the room next door. With such a dubious activity and such a small landing surface area, Harmony slipped and fell off the couch, directly onto her arm. Her parents only heard a loud thud and a "demonic screech" before a bright pulse of energy shot through the house, shattering the windows. She was rushed to a Healer for her arm and then to a bakery for her First Instance of Magic celebration
