Logan groaned as she crawled through the window of the owlery, spotting Elsian almost immediately. "Everything hurts," she groaned, dropping onto the floor with a pained groan. She knew she wanted had to attempt to cut through the hair, but she just wanted to lay on the floor and sleep. At least Kitty was still attached to her dress, Sherlock was probably at the bottom of the tower screaming about wanting attention.

"Next time we do something like this, you are going to be the one climbing," she muttered as she sat up, giving a glare to her best friend. Logan carefully pulled herself off of the ground, not really in a hurry anymore, and pulled her wand out of the pocket of her dress. The Hufflepuff had to think for a moment about what spell she was going to use, the only one coming to mind being diffindo. "Why did we even do this in the first place Elsian and why did I just have to climb a tower wearing a dress and shoes with no traction." At this point Logan was just complaining to compain, although who would not with everything she had to do so far. Logan was not sure what all Elsian had to do, but it probably was not as much as she had done.

Eloise was climbing for what seemed like a century. He was sure she was climbing as fast as she could, and he never doubted her for a second. Any time away from his love, though, was time he spent thinking about her.
In fact, Lloyd thought of not much else, besides her. How perfect she was, how amazing she was, how everything she did was a job well done.
In short, Lloyd was smitten. Completely and utterly smitten. He was so in love, he would do anything, anything for her.
Lloyd smiled as he watched Eloise draw nearer.
When she crossed into the tower, he rushed forward and almost tackled her, in an enormous hug.
“I am so happy to see you-“ he said, smiling.
Stepping back, he regarded her.
“Ahh my fearless princess- what can I do to serve you? Or am I the princess….?”
Lloyd listened as the next set of instructions were said.
Cut off his hair!!!! Well.. maybe he could keep it a little longer. He kinda rocked the long hair look, if he had to say so.
He decided to say this, so Eloise didn't just cut all his hair off.
"Do you think we can keep my hair a little longer - i kinda rock the long hair look, don't you think?"

Edme heaved out a long breath of air, her surprise from making it to the top visible less than a minute after reaching the top. They honestly thought that by this point they would have quit and went back to the ball, but lucky her, she had a lot more willpower than she expected. Reaching the top was a blessing, but the aftermath of that climb hit them like a bus.

"Hi...Avery..." they gasped out. The Ravenclaw was beginning to wish the charm and smooth talk came with being the rescuer. "Give me a sec..."

After taking a moment to catch her breath, she took in the sight around her. A nicely furnished room was what she was met with, and she began to realize that maybe choosing the rescuer was a poor decision. But, they were here now, and there were only a couple of tasks left before the duo could finally get some rest. Who knew these games were so tiring?

"Nice hair," Edme laughed genuinely, placing a finger on a piece of the mane so that they could test to see if it was real. "Magic is crazy. Too bad it has to go."

There were two options: The dagger or the spell. Edme knew she had the spell, but she also knew that Avery didn't, and unless the other girl had a second year spell, they would need to do this the old fashioned way: Chopping and hacking.

"You ready? I'll try my best to do your old cut justice." For whatever reason, the second year was more afraid of giving Avery a bad cut rather than actually finishing the game.

A loaded sigh of relief breaks free at first sight of Edme cresting the side of the tower. Winded as they were, Avery figured she wasn't faring much better. Face red and arms a little jelly from trying to help provide some counterweight on the hair, the Hufflepuff at least manages to toss up a brief thumbs up. "H-hey..." she manages. Smooth. Could probably do with some more swooning to fit the role. At the moment though, any fainting done would likely be more from exhaustion than anything else.

It didn't take too long to catch her breath now that the tedious climb was over, a fact she was extremely grateful for. The first year tried to compose herself as best she could, flashing her date a bright smile. "Impressive climb."

The call of instructions for the next leg certainly came as a relief. The sooner the ridiculous length of hair was gone, the better. Edme's observation is met with a jovial shrug, watching as the girl tests how genuine the hair is. "Magic is super crazy. But I don't think I'll miss it in this case," she notes. She wrinkles her nose a little as she picks at a strand. "Not exactly my style."

Knowing she was a bit useless when it came to being able to offer up the spell, Avery turns her sights to the daggers provided to the children instead. What's the worst that could happen? Taking up her own blade, the Hufflepuff looks up to flash a brief, but warm, smile. "Don't worry, I trust you. As long as it's gone, that's honestly good enough for me," she mutters, holding the blade up to the length of hair. She was ready for it to be gone. The weight was a bit of a strain on the neck.

His foot slipped for a heartstopping second as he turned towards Kim. Something…something about Puffie? “I-” He swallowed hard, wincing at another tug as his nails dug into his palms, knuckles bled white as he struggled to get back his balance. “No,” he had ground out, not unkindly, but the little fur ball was a beacon of brightness so surely they would be fine? “Little furball is probably fine!”

Oh, he could have cried with relief as Logan suddenly appeared from beyond the window. His wonderful golden knight!

“Queenie!” He cheered, practically collapsing in relief right then and there. His grip slackened. Hair slipping from his fingers he rushed to the others side, quick to help her the rest of the way through the window, or as much as he could attempt, before he was falling to the ground right alongside his friend with a short bark of laughter. “My hero,” he grinned, tired but cheeky as ever. “My shining knight in golden heels! Golden star of my life,” a hand gripped at his shirt dramatically as the boy swooned gracelessly into her side with a coo, “you came for me~”

The long strands of black hair pinched and pulled awkwardly at his head as he shifted. An affronted look covered up the wince of pain at the others words. “But I’m a delicate maiden.” He sniffed hastily in the wake of Logan's glare.

It melted into a tiny smile as he began to drag himself up. For once in his life Elsian acted the part of a gentleman by offering her a hand as they made to get up, pulling the other up to stand should she take the offer. “Because you love me,” he cooed smugly with a flutter of the eyes, “and because we both know I wouldn’t have gotten past 5 ft off the ground.” A cheerful admittance. One they both knew to be true. Elsian really was the worst at things that required that much effort.

With a flourish Elsian made a show of tugging the silvery fabric hanging from the side of his belt free. A decoration. The long square piece of fabric had been nothing more than decoration but now it served a purpose! A token. Damsels always had those sorts of things to give their knights right? Well he didn’t have any fancy hand embroidered handkerchief…and she already had the tiara…kinda unfair honestly, he should have held onto it. But this! This fabric would do! At least it was good enough to serve the purpose of just being a prop in his dramatics, something to cry over if Logan dropped it.

“A token,” he said, striking a pose. Hand on his chest, the other flew out to fling the fabric at the others hand, missing by a landslide and comedically landing on her head. Internally Elsian was inconsolable in his tears of mirth. “Only the best for my golden knight~” A lazy swoon towards the other threatened to send the 2 of them falling to the ground as he pushed most of his weight onto her side as she pulled out her wand.

He would wail if she retaliated.

Kitty, scrambling up between the two to escape being crushed by her owner's dramatics, earned a well meaning scoff as she hopped from Logan to her owner. “Oh now you return to me you traitor.” She burrowed into his hair. He could only laugh lightly as he pulled out his own wand.

She was going to be so distraught in a moment.

“So we cut the hair, get past the door…and then you sweep me off my feet and whisk me away right Queenie?” Elsian teased.

Going to cast the severing charm he paused, contemplating.

“Aha, let’s give ourselves a few inches away from my vulnerable neck…”

It did hurt when her partner, Marius, using her super long hair to climb up to the tower, but it was something she needed to endure if they wanted to win the game together. After 10 minutes long agony, Ash was able to manage to help Marius reach up to the goal, and they finally reunited. "Marius!! So glad to see you safe and sound!", She raised her right hand towards him, implying that they should have a high five. Ash did notice in this round, a few competitors were struggling, so she could consider themselves quite lucky so far.

Seeing them together, the committees then came to them and instructions for the next round of the game. And not to Ash's surprise, the next task was to cut her current long hair before they can process. They were given two choices: use a spell called Diffindo or use a dagger to cut her hair. Good! Because she wouldn't want to walk around with such a large braided hair during the game. Not to mention it might cause disadvantage to them. The choice was obvious because Ash hadn't learned that cutting spell yet, so of course, they would use the dagger. Marius was smart enough to realize that and went to ask the committees for the daggers.

"Alright, looks let we're doing the traditional way.", Ash said to Marius with a confident smile. "It's finally time for us to escape the "witch's den" together!"

The game is nearing its end. Some rescuers have reunited safely to their princesses. Oh, what a beautiful sight. The white-haired girl thought sarcastically while rolling her eyes. She swears if she sees more lovey-dovey couples, she's gonna throw up. But she guesses it is the point of the game after all. Regretting her decision to be a part of this, she came up to some of the couples and gave them their dagger, particularly someone who has not learned the severing charm before. And then she watches them struggle again to cut their dangling hair. Honestly, why is it so hard for them to do a simple task?

Finally, the first couple has severe ties with long braided hair. It was yet again the French couple who came first. "your challenge is coming to an end, all you have to do is open that door with your golden key, and see what awaited you." Pea says quite monotonously as she read from a small script that was prepared for Lloyd Matthews Thomas & Eloïse Duciel the couple is also closely followed by another couple, Elsian Cox & Logan Baird. This is ought to be a close race.
