International Magical Olympic Games Sign-Up Reminder: 49-Hour Warning
This is a reminder that the IMOG sign-ups will end in just over two days from now (in 49 hours). Remember that you must sign up if you want to participate in a sport (HERE) or RP as staying in a yurt (HERE) during the Games.
Especially calling all fourth- through seventh-years: I am in need of more individual skaters and summoner's curlers!
Also calling first- through third-year hockey teams: I currently have an odd number and would like an even number to be able to pit teams together.
Sports will begin to drop over the course of the next week, so get these sign-ups in now before they close at 11:59 PM EST on Saturday, Feb 14!

IMOG Opening Feast Launched!
Come one, come all to enjoy international delicacies and fun ice skating in this unmoderated thread upon the shores of Lake Bear. In one week, I will post within it the torch-lighting ceremony.
Please note that over the next week, sports threads will be dropping! Keep an eye out on your PCs and iNPCs' notifications for pings in your specific sports thread.
In addition, sports and yurts sign-ups have now been closed. If you did not sign up for a sport, you're welcome to say your character came to cheer on their friends, but you cannot say they are competing. If you did not sign up for a yurt, you're welcome to vaguely reference the fact that you are staying in a yurt, but please do not be specific as to which type/with whom you're staying, nor are you able to RP in one.

Errand: Galloping into the New Year
Calling all International Magical Olympic Games (IMOG) participants! In light of the Lunar New Year celebration, there will be an event held at Koldovstoretz for students across the globe to experience the festivities and get a taste of Chinese culture. There is something for everyone (snacks, arts & crafts, etc.), so it is perfect for people looking to spice up their IMOG experience

A quick clarification on the dates for iNPC registration
There was a question as to whether the 6-month waiting period for creation of an iNPC starts from the date on the profile or the user’s validation date. As sometimes there might be more than a couple of days’ difference between these dates, we are counting the six months as starting from the date the user was validated. This is often different from the date on your profile. If you are unsure as to the date you were validated, check your owls or ask a staff member to look at the logs for you.

Enchanted Ramadan errands
Come celebrate Ramadan with us! It's the month of Ramadan - a month for spreading kindness, hope, help, and joy. A wonderful time to unite, seek forgiveness, help one another, or simply share kindness.
This year, we are happy to invite you to experience it with us. We have prepared a set of errands that will be announced one by one, so please keep an eye out for the upcoming announcements.
To start celebration, the first errand - Fanous and Enchanted Ramadan - is now available. Do you want to try creating colorful lanterns yourself? Perhaps you will find it delightful to make a wish and exchange handmade Fanous. Sign-ups are open untill March 19th. We encourage you to sign up early rather than waiting until the end.

On the rest day, Wednesday the 18th of February, athletes and supporters alike are invited to partake in one of the best Russian and Kazakh traditions that Koldovstoretz has to offer: banyas, a type of sauna native to the region. Come relax in your bathing suit/appropriate clothing here in the main banya, or make a private thread tagged [Banya] with your friends - but make sure you run outside and jump in the snow to cool down if you get too warm!Koldovstoretz Banyas Open
(Also, figure skating teams will be modded tomorrow, and bobsledding/hockey mods are up, in case anyone was curious.)
