The owls are manually written and updated by each professor in that position. Not all will update it. There may be random errors but it’s always nice to double check and then send an owl to the professor with the error you found, they can help you then.

Staff typically notify players via owl on things like Index. For things like changing a topic to RP, it's just fixing things that a player forgot and doesn't harm the post content.

A notification when an edit is made would be beyond what I believe we can do, sorry.

Sooo you know those spells we gain via "graduating" to the next year? Well, in the duelling spell list, they're marked as the previous year. I have two suggestions regarding this because otherwise people won't have them until the next year and it makes sense for you to tie them with the proper year that you gain them.

1. Put them into an existing homework or homework that is not written already (but seeing as just about every homework has been written, putting them into an existing lesson works.). This ties them to first year (Diffindo, Spongify, Pack, and Rictusempra), and second year (Alarte Ascendare, Descendo)

2. You could just move them into the next year instead of saying that they're "first year" spells when you don't get them during your first year, you could say they're "second year" spells and they gain it automatically for the next year.

I feel it is logical to do either of those because (1) none of the other years [3-7] have that and (2) if its not something for a player to obtain via homework, why is it listed as something you can use of that year?

so basically i was hoping that inventing would be a profession added into the adult system, it’s fine if it isn’t, just a suggestion

The Proprietor role involves owning a business and (optionally) being an inventor of products that they sell. Other roles can also be flavored as inventing items, eg being an Artisan, you've "invented" a line of stuffed animals that your character sells.

If you have something specific you're thinking of that can't be flavored into an existing role, please feel free to add details to your suggestion.
