Why do you want to be a mentor? Speaking from experience, without a mentor to guide confused new members of the site, it is quite difficult task to understand everything. After learning about the mentor system, it seems to me like a really good idea for members who are experienced and completely understand the site and its rules to help out the newer members. I would like to be that mentor for newcomers along with the rest of the mentor team.

Why do you want to be a mentor? For the mone Being a newcomer is still somewhat fresh in my memory and I know how overwhelming it can get with a carefully constructed site like this one. Of course I'd like to slowly start contributing to the site and hey, if I get to meet a couple more people, help them and be present in their character creation AND watch them grow on this site...it's a win-win situation.

Why do you want to be a mentor? I didn't have a mentor but my IRL friend was essentially one for me. They helped me figured out my ency and indexing, they helped me figure out the homework system and RPs. H.io was my first RP site and having someone to help me get settled in was so helpful. From my time talking to some new first years on the discord server I found that I really enjoy helping them with some processes and answering their questions. The idea that I'm helping someone as I have been helped really makes me happy. I also just want to find ways to contribute more to H.io.

Why do you want to be a mentor? I have invited my fair share of friends to the site, and they always have one thing in common. Confusion, usually about many things. From encyclopedias to roleplays, most things are new for players. Having seen this confusion first-hand, I know how much a guide is needed. When I was a mentor, I think I was more focused on getting their mentorship complete rather than helping them connect to the community. Now that I’ve been able to take a step back and see what I did wrong, I’d love to dive back in and help the community in the way I can: by serving on the mentor team.

Why do you want to be a mentor?
I have myself been a mentee to the lovely Mari Alves, and the advices she gave me were help I very much needed. I know how much the site can be overwhelming upon arrival, and I know how much a trusted advisor who is able to answer the dozens of questions a newbie can have, and guide them through the rules and codes is welcomed and needed. I would very much like to be that mentor, and help this amazing community to welcome more members.

Why do you want to be a mentor? I was (and want to be) a mentor because I want to help people. I love to help people. That's the simple answer. I may have been co-lead for the mentor team, but I was also a really good mentor for multiple people. I have seen the people that I've mentored become staff members or super awesome people in the community, and it makes me proud because I know I have done well.

Why do you want to be a mentor? My mentor(Rem ) was extremely helpful and supportive to me, and giving back to the community is something I would love to do. Becoming a mentor seems to be an excellent way to go about ensuring that this community continues to grow and thrive. I personally love helping other people and love seeing them happy, so helping others understand the complexities of this site is a big reason that I want to be there to help the newbies just like I was helped!

While this account has only existed for so long, I've been part of this vibrant community since 2019, over my time of being on this site, I've found how much I enjoy the people here, writing, character building, etc and at moments, navigating it all and all its opportunities can certainly be overwhelming. I've been lucky to have been surrounded by the most helpful people who've made this such a wonderful experience and I'd love the opportunity to pay it forward as well as taking on more responsibility here!
