I have 4/6 brochure pages done. I just hate doing this lol.

BUT I did find an old picture of my papaw and grammie together, it is very old, it was about 14 years ago. They got a divorce a few years after. I saved the image, but I'm surprised mom looked different, I always thought she looked the same.

- BACKSTORY & FIoAM
Buck was born July 31st 2014. He was a human, unlike his half brother Remy, but like him, he was raised in the Break manor, alongside Remy, also to his biological father's wife's displeasure at the fact that two children as a product of his own 'cheating' were being raised in her proximity. Of course, Buck and Remy did not really know Elenor all too well, but they did feel the effects of her death when they were just two.

At the age of four, when both were confined to the timeout corner due to breaking picture frames and throwing toys across the room intentionally in a manner of throwing a tantrum at not getting to go outside and play football (soccer) with each other instead of cleaning up their room, they both looked at each other with a wicked grin and kept cracking jokes to keep each other laughing despite them not being allowed to.

They would get in trouble, but Buck? He always felt closer to Remy, because they were the troublemaking duo. Another time when they got older, Remy got mad at something being told to him by his father, probably a no, and Buck watched Remy push the loveseat in the living room and flip it. Naturally, of course, Buck sided with him and also misbehaved and threw a family heirloom, a lamp, onto the ground to watch it shatter, even though he didn't know what got Remy ticked off. Since they were older, they were tasked with doing the house elves' jobs for the next few months. Buck, of course, would not regret it. If Remy was to go down, so was Buck. They were duos. Inseparable.

When Buck turned eight, he read a letter that was addressed to his father. At the bottom, with a handwriting that he did not really recognize, was the last words, a short note, addressed to him from his mother. He read it alone. He didn't bother to cry, nor did he show anyone.

The words written on that letter made him boil with rage, almost as if the softness inside him began to harden and become replaced with cold cruelty that did end up defining him. Over the years, Remy became a product of brute strength, while Buck would become (soon, after he learns at Durmstrang) the product of magical cruelty. He was angry and he wanted revenge.

At the age of 10, he was sent to live with people that his father knew over in Iceland. They were allegedly family, according to him. One fateful day, as it always goes with young wizards, Buck had his very first instance of magic that seemed to have counted to Durmstrang, getting him his acceptance later on. On the day he had his instance of magic, it was in December, and he was skating across a river, not aware of how dangerous it was.

He put on his homemade ice skating shoes, steel-soled shoes with steak knives taped onto it, almost ala a DIY ice skating shoes. Buck got onto the ice, and used his tippy toes to tip toe all the way to the center of the "frozen over" river so he had room to skate.

Well, a river always moves, even if the top seems to be frozen, the river is never completely frozen, it isn't water in a cup, it's not in a container, it's moving. That meant that the ice was thin. Buck took an extra step, relaxed himself and relaxed his feet into flattening, so he was no longer on his tippy toes but rather relying on the blades.

With a sudden round of cracking noise, he looked down for the brief second he was given and was pulled under the water as the ice under him broke. Ice cold water entered his nostrils, his head and skin began to feel like they were shrinking and it was like he couldn't breathe. It was a polar plunge, but he needed to get out.

He had to get out. The river pushed hard underneath, trapping him in the current, and with the shoes he had on, he couldn't gain enough friction against the ground to keep himself steady against the current pushing him away. He looked around, looking at the ice covering the water and with his body losing as much air as he was trying to hold in, he pounded against the ice, but his hands were moving too slow under the water, almost as if the gravity was worse than it was on land.

But his saving grace, his instance of magic, purely unintentional having come in a manner of emergency, was when his body seemed to start radiating heat that was hot enough to turn ice water to a boil in mere minutes, but as he moved due to the current pushing him, he finally got one foot stuck in between two big boulders and it was within reach to the ice ceiling above him, yet, unfortunately for him, he was starting to feel like he was losing his consciousness, the world blurring around him and he blacked out. The next thing he knew, he was on the ground besides the river, another person having seen him trapped, holding fishing gear for some reason, was waking up Buck as Buck sputtered out the water that he had intook with compressions against his chest.

Buck mumbled, "What?" His words weak, the cold air coming through was not helping him feel any warmer and dry. "What happened?" The man didn't know, all he knew was he saw Buck floating in a circle of ice that was beginning to melt around him.

Buck had deducted that what happened must've been magic because, if that man didn't save him perse other than getting him out of the water, then who did? It had to have been magic. He had no other explanation.

When he went back to his icelandic family home that his father put him at, he wrote to his father, telling him what had happened and the only response he got back was, 'That's magic. Not sure how it happened, but that's magic. Did the guy who saved you see? If so, I need to alert the Ministry of Magic.'

All Buck had to say was, he didn't know. For all the man could've known was that Buck fell into that and almost drowned in that specific area, or maybe happened to reemerge at that spot, the stuff that science can explain without a doubt, the stuff that seemed logical.

But of course, Buck was not sure. His icelandic family didn't know, but they would find out that he was going to Durmstrang, because he got his letter of acceptance, and was not able to go to whatever school they had planned for him to go to in the fall. He was going to a school of magic.

Well, to further add onto Buck's cluelessness about the family, they were actually Buck's family. They had magic. They were witches and wizards. When he got his letter, they all cheered. They seemed to act so normal for so long, and they knew he was with his biological father, who was a wizard, so why did they act so.. muggle for some time? Why were they just now coming out about it?

It hurt him. It hurt him that he was led to believe an illusion and his own "family" didn't tell him anything. Maybe they were trying to not make him feel guilty or sad if he didn't get accepted into a school of witchcraft, or maybe they really were jerks that did want him to feel awful about it. Maybe there's another reason, but Buck? It made him upset, and he took off to his room.

(His mom is in the icelandic household but she never revealed that she was magical until he was accepted.)

- PERSONALITY
Buck learned when he was young, as unfortunate as it was for him, that to be soft, it made him a liability. Whatever warmth that he had had evaporated the very moment he read his mother's final words to him, and everything after that hardened into something sharp. No, his mother wasn't dead at the time of him reading the note, but he didn't really get to know her. He was mad he was taken away from someone that could've been very important in his life.

Buck is dangerous, less loud, but if he has to get his point across, it's to cut someone down as if with precision. He enjoys taking control of situations and of people and of outcomes. He likes to think of himself alongside Remy in the concept that if Remy is the storm, Buck is the damage left behind that leaves heartbreak and sadness and hopelessness.

He isn't incapable of loyalty, rather, he devotes himself to his brother, but he does not devote himself to his father nor anyone else who thinks that they can cool this child down. If there was a problem, he was taking someone else down with him, like a ship sinking in the dead of night with no lifeboats.

Buck finds it hard to trust, hard to forgive and he doesn't forget quite as easily. He carries grudges over the years almost as if like familial herilooms. He isn't as interested in being liked. He's not interested in being understood either. He waits to strike, like a cougar in the fields watching his prey.

- APPEARANCE
Buck is white and has light brown hair with a messy but kind of swept hair (I dont know how to describe hair guys). He has brown eyes, is 4'4" and weighs about as much as the average 11 year old with his height.
