Sergei Voronin was born to a single mother, a muggle. His father was out of the picture, having ended up in prison. She struggled to support him and his brother in their early years, stress eating away at her until she was a shell of herself. By the time he was five, she couldn’t find a place for them to live, and after her sister’s insistence and intervention, he and his sibling were given up to foster care in 2017. That was the true beginning of the end when it came to his childhood. Bouncing between homes, their caseworkers tried their best to keep the siblings together, to sustain some iota of stability in their lives. But as tensions rose in Russia, this grew harder and harder until eventually they were forced to split apart into separate homes when Sergei was seven.

While he had already been seemingly struggling in school by then, it got worse after this event; he’d skip classes, insisting he could do his work at home, and even occasionally getting into scuffles with his classmates, causing his social bonds to deteriorate further. He refused to make any efforts to form bonds with the foster parents who tried to accept him, and those who didn’t try merely made his antisocial behaviour worse. As stability worsened both within and outside his life, his aunt stepped in once more. Perhaps she felt guilty, or perhaps she just felt morally obligated, but she demanded that he and his brother be sent to the UK, worried about what their futures might hold if they remained in their homeland. After much paperwork and many debates, they were to be transferred to the foster system there. This all happened while he was seven, and after his internal struggle with the matter, he made a decision. Studying English even more than he was already being taught at school. He stayed up many late nights trying to, at the very least, reach level 3 so he wouldn’t be even more estranged when he arrived in the new country.

By the end of the year, he was sent to England, his brother was set to be sent the following year. Naturally, this greatly impacted him, and not entirely in a positive way. Sure, life beyond his own situation was now stable, but that only relieved some stress. He was still bouncing between homes, his ‘delinquent’ behaviour mostly ruining any chance at being able to remain with a family long-term. More often than not, he tried his best to spend as little time as he could in these homes, feeling stifled and stressed the longer he lingered. Thus, he would often try to remain outside or even wander the streets, the latter becoming more common the more independent he became. He’d create ‘friends’ only to use them as excuses for his excursions, and if his guardians tried to keep him from them, he’d grow more and more hostile. This often resulted in the cycle starting again with a new family.

Despite his chaotic home life, there were two things the boy was serious about: his academics and his art. These were his escapes, his free time often consumed by the two activities. Such distractions felt like a safety blanket to him. Eventually, he turned eight, and his antisocial behaviour had gotten worse, but it had also gotten quieter. With this change, he was staying with families longer, most taking that as a good sign, but now that his mind was gradually processing his turbulent feelings better, he was merely keeping them locked away. This kept him out of trouble more, but that didn’t mean his struggle was gone.

After his first instance of magic [read below], he’d find his life uprooted once more. People came to his house, soon making their way to him. His guardians were nowhere in sight after greeting the strangers at the door. They claimed to be wizards, of course, he didn’t believe them, refusing to be taken away. Then they did it, they showed him magic, the lights at the tips of the cheesy-looking sticks they carried around suddenly glowing, and then forming a small ball of light. They said he would be able to do the very same trick one day. This was… utterly baffling to the boy, who wondered if he was having some sort of fever dream, after all, magic? Really? All his life, magic and wizards were just things that lived in fairy tales, in the collective fantasy of human knowledge. Now this view of the world was being shattered.

He was moved from the muggle foster care system into the wizarding equivalent. Nothing much changed, aside from his new, long-term foster parents now casually making dishes float and healing any minor cuts or bruises with bizarre potions. After he slowly and reluctantly adapted to yet another life-changing event, a new fascination slowly grew in his developing mind, one with magic and the supernatural. He caught himself up with what he should already know about the wizarding world, being tutored instead of remaining in school. As he turned ten, he had adjusted at least slightly better to his new life. Then, he got the letter for Hogwarts, and everything changed yet again.

First Instance of Magic:

Reducio
He was eight when it happened. He had been wandering further from his foster home, trying to escape the pressure of remaining with people he viewed as strangers. The only thing his guardians demanded of him was that he keep his phone with him at all times on his excursions, and that he promised to stick with one of his ‘friends’. He did keep his phone with him, but he lied about staying with his ‘friend’. All he wanted was time alone. Then he bumped into someone, an older kid, maybe 17. They were with another kid around their age, and both had a look about them that meant no good. The one he bumped into pushed him, trying to intimidate him. He was scared, yes, but it merely became fuel for his irritation.

Muttering darkly at them in his mother tongue, only seemed to aggravate them as they threw accusations at him. Finally, he couldn’t keep a lid on his anger. Lashing out, he kicked one of them right where it hurts, and where he could reach. They keeled over, groaning in pain and throwing profanities at him. Their buddy slammed him against the wall, pulling a knife on him, saying they’d ‘put this brat in their place’. As he felt the bite of the blade, his fear turned into terror, fed by the unfamiliar pain. Something snapped inside him, and suddenly the sleeve of their sweater caught on fire. His attacker screamed, dropping him to the ground as he coughed and gasped for air. The commotion caught the attention of a few pedestrians, who rushed to the scene. After being pulled away while a few others tried to help put out the fire, Sergei felt no guilt in ratting them out, telling them that the teens had cut him. Once the fire was out, two men kept them restrained. Naturally, they were enraged that someone would harm a kid. The police were called, and they were taken away. After this, he was patched up by some paramedics and sent home with his guardians as who scolded and fussed over him, their words falling on deaf ears. The cut would scar, but luckily wouldn’t require stitches, instead having been glued shut on site. His guardians tried to comfort him, but he merely returned to his room, staying in it for the rest of the day, and for once not leaving the house for an entire week.

- Please pick a country for Val's nationality — 'Latino' isn't a country but instead refers to someone from Latin America, where there are various countries. As such, it's not an option we can input to your profile card.
- Based on that, if you'd like to have a specified nationality for Valentin's mother, please decide on which you would like — here, it says both 'Latina' and 'Italian'.

Name: Arcturas Noir

Encyclopedia link: here

House: Ravenclaw, First year

Arcturas Noir a handsome, fierce boy with medium/short, messy jet black hair and pale skin. His high cheekbones and sharp jawline were unnoticed by his icy blue eyes, which when looked deeply into gave others chills to the bone.

Arcturas is a powerful, intelligent, entitled person. He is very proud of his family lineage, and strongly agrees with their ideals. He is a pure blood wizard , this however did not make him ignorant to the power of muggle borns and half bloods. In truth he admired the fact that muggle borns could use magic with the fact they had no magical heritage. He has a feirce temper and whit but is also kind and caring of others.

Arcturas like most other pure blood children was home schooled by his pureblood parents Nigellas and Tricia, alsong with their house elf heaky. His family life was very secluded due to his family being pureblood maniacs, he learned at a young age the importance of pure bloods and the lineage. He was not aloud to have any friends due to his parents being weary of other peoples liniage and family barely visited. He had a magical family tree set in their victorian styled house which linked him too other pureblood families. Like a lot of the pureblood families he had many house elves in his house and the heads of the elves descendants were mounted on a wall in the hallway. The old victorian styled house was covered with anti muggle spells, to the non magical eye the vast land around and the house itself looked derelict and dangerous. However one you broke through the charms his house was beautiful, the land surrounding it was covered with trees, beautifully kept grass and a small stream. The house itself was a large 4 story victorian styled home, with bay windows, elm woodwork and white stone throughout.

There is some controversy about when Arcturas first displayed magic as his parents told family members he could move things around his room telekinetically before he could speak, however this was a lie to make him seem more powerful than others. The actual occasion was the time his cousins came to stay. His cousins were 2 years older than him twins who looked alot like Arcturas but with dashing long blond hair in pony tails. They were playing by the stream and for reasons unknown to Arcturas as he was only 4 years old one of his cousins pushed him into the stream and held him under water during an argument. Thats all Arcturas can remember is everything going dark and then his cousin laying on the floor screaming and saying Arcturas had burned his hands. As he didn’t actually do anything Arcturas claimed his cousin was lying but apon further inspection his cousins hands were red raw and blistering. Arcturas held his cousins hands and with that they returned to normal, the argument was forgotten and everyone spoke of Arcturas’s magical prowess that day. And his cousins never attempted anything like that again.

- Please specify if Arcturas is human or if you are applying for a special race/talent (e.g. Parselmouth, Part-Goblin, Part-Giant, Part-Veela, Metamorphmagus, Dhampir or Werewolf). Bear in mind that your stats currently align with those for humans, so if you end up applying for a race/talent, you would have to edit that. If you would like to stay as a human, just let me know.

Character Special Race/Talent: Metamorphmagus

As most do, Avery's metamorphmagus abilities showed early within his first year of life. Whenever he was being held by someone and looked into their eyes, his bright green eye color would change to match theirs and when he looked away, they would change back.

Normally, this was a "blink and you'll miss it" shift and mostly went unnoticed by those around him. For a while, if someone did notice, Avery's parents were able to pass the shifting eye color off as a trick of the light or by saying that their child's eyes generally seemed to look different depending on the lighting and what he was wearing. For the most part, his mother's non-magic friends would believe these excuses and laugh the strange occurrence off. Anyone else seemed to feel the matter not worth pushing. If their friend's kid had weird eyes but was ok and healthy, who were they to keep bringing it up and make the poor kid or parents self-concious?

This was both a struggle to acknowledge and a relief to his non-magical mother. His parents had already decided to move towards a mostly non-magical existence because of her struggles to accept magical life, and at least this small change was easy to explain away to her non-magical friends. Although Camille struggled, she was always supportive of Avery's magical side and the Finch family overall.

Because of his frequent encounters with his mother's non-magical world, though, the moment Avery was able to understand, his grandfather began to teach him how to control his shifting powers, lest they become something more noticeable and less easy to explain away.

While he was growing up in Málaga, Spain, he lived on the same plot of land as his grandparents and some of his other magical relatives, though in a different house closer to the road, and they would often watch him while his parents worked or took classes. This gave his grandparents the perfect opportunity to teach him about magical life in general, his magical family, and his metamorphmagus powers.

Avery's grandfather and grandmother explained to him that the ability often skipped two or three generations in his grandfather's family, and that learning how to actually use all of his magical gifts was just as important as learning how to make them stop. Thankfully, his grandfather was a metamorphmagus as well, so it was a lot easier for the older man to explain how to control it.

Younger Avery did have a lot of fun with it while he was in school and around his magical family, especially taking requests from his peers for all manner of changes, and, even now, he will sometimes pull pranks on his parents by changing his appearance.

Most of the time, though, Avery only uses his talents to change his hair color, which is naturally a golden blond that matches his mother's. Being around his mother and non-magical people most of the time during the summers, and once he became an adult and started working in his mother's studio and shop, he fell into the habit of simply not using them for anything that couldn't be explained, such as hair dye and contacts.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Childhood:
Avery was born and mostly raised an only child in Málaga, Spain to Camille and Atico Finch.
Atico was a prominent magical lawyer in Málaga until he met and fell in love with a sinmagia (non-magical) woman, Camille, who worked as an art and frame restorer. Atico told her almost immediately about his magic, and while she accepted him and his family, she couldn't cope well living in the magical world.
The pair decided to generally live on Camille's side of the tracks, so to speak, though Atico' magical parents were prominent in their, and then Avery's, life. Atico spent the greater part of Avery's younger childhood restudying to become a nonmagic lawyer in Spain.
When Avery was eight, Atico' parents died very shortly after one another, and Camille and Atico decided to move to a house that he had inherited from them a short distance outside of Whitstable, England.
Once there, Atico went back to school to become a licensed lawyer in England, and Camille continued her art and frame restoration work in a large studio on their property.
Before applying for the job of Caretaker, Avery was training with his mother to take over her shop and studio, and part of his interest in the job was to study and possibly restore the various artwork stored in Hogwarts' halls.
Avery's childhood was filled with a lot of love from both sets of his grandparents and his parents and though he characteristically always had children to play with in Málaga and in Whitstable, he never seemed to be able to form friendships that were very lasting or memorable.

School Years (2014-2021):
Avery's school days at Hogwarts were characterized by average grades and a mischievous tendency to be just within the bounds of the rules, making him an amusing annoyance to some staff and fellow students and an absolute pain to others.
A proud Hufflepuff, he once again always seemed to be surrounded by what one might call friendly aquaintances, but no one he would call real friends.
Due to his mother's profession, he was extrememly fascinated by the magical art in the castle and seemed to care much more about wandering the castle to study it all than his grades or making solid friendships.

Adulthood:
Having already picked up a fascination with his mother's job when he was younger, Avery spent most summers home from Hogwarts learning her trade and when he graduated, he became her official apprentice.
When his father heard about the Caretaker position at Hogwarts from friends in Diagon Alley, he brought it up to Avery as a chance to study the magical paintings there in more depth than he could while he was a student.

First Instance of Magic:

When Avery was eight years old, shortly after he and his parents moved to the small, victorian-style house near Witstable, Avery was helping his mother, in what little ways he could, set up her studio while his father was out.
The rather tiny boy was carrying in a small container of plaster when his elbow just barely bumped a stack of large paintings, easily twice his size, in heavy frames that were leaning against the wall.
His mother turned just as the stack began to wobble and fall on top of him, but before she could move and get to him from across the room, the paintings swiveled away from him and returned themselves to their place against the wall. Avery continued to totter across the room to the shelf, completely unaware that he had almost been crushed until his mother told his father over dinner that night.

First of all, I am average height, mabie a bit tall for my age. I am thin, but not unhealthy. I have chocolate-brown silky hair that can be wavy if I style it right, and I am a Caucasian female by birth. I am smart and I know school is necessary even though I sometimes don't like it. I don't have any mental issues that I know of.
My mother is Half-Blood and my father is a Muggle. My grandfather is the closest pure-blood. Grandfather's wife, my Grandma ( Mother's mother ) is where I got my middle name- Susan from, because she died before I was born of cancer. I didn't know about the magical world until I was nine and I did my first accidental magic. ( below ) Then my mother decided to tell me. Mother kept magic a secret because Father thinks it is too dangerous. He probably never would have married her if he knew. But he won't divorce her because he is a strong Christain and doesn't believe in divorce. My older by two years sister Lisa, is free of magic. Mother and Father hoped I would be too, ( being one-fourth magical. ) But I am not and I am glad of, a change of life, but mostly of all glad to get away from being lonely. ( My family and I are thought weird by the community despite our best efforts. )

First Instance of Magic:

As promised, here is my first magic: I was nine, Lisa eleven. I begged her to play Lava ( a naughty game involving tossing couch cushions on the floor and stepping on them, trying not to touch the ground, the lava. ) She agreed and all was completely normal, until I missed a jump and my left foot touched the carpet. Suddenly, my foot stung and was pink with welts as if I truly got burned! I was so confused! Mother bandaged me while explaining about the magical world.
I had another one a few months before I got my letter involving me exploding a ketchup bottle, but I was fine, because I knew why it happened. So I calmly cleaned up the ketchup.

Despite being the daughter of the eldest son, Lyssandra is considered the (current) baby of the Navarus family.
_____

“Are you excited, Argentus?” A deep and almost gruff voice asked as he squeezed a small hand reassuringly.

“Quite… But I am also worried, Father.” Navy-blue eyes looked up at him and Nereus felt his heart grow full. His little boy, his little heir, was doing his best to remain strong and composed—he won’t spoil his efforts by revealing how he could tell that Argentus was fidgeting.

“Worried?” The little boy nodded and Nereuss threw decorum aside and pulled his son onto his lap. Argentus’ eyes widened but the firm arms of his father encasing him into a hug told him that it was okay to show weakness.

“Cousin Dion said that babies are very fragile… that almost anything could have an effect on them. I did my best… I promise I was careful not to use magic around mother and—”

“Hush now,” A large hand rubbed his back and Argentus realized he was almost choked up about the whole ordeal.

“Dion was correct about babies being sensitive to changes. However, your mother’s magic is strong as she is healthy, thanks be to Mother Magic. You did such a good job in attending to her and being careful around her during the critical stage of her pregnancy.” Argentus sniffed.

“They will be fine. Both of them will be fine. You’ll get to meet your little sister soon, Argentus. Then you’ll see the fruits of your labor, alright?” Nereus placed a kiss on his son’s temple as he allowed the little boy to get a few more sniffles out.

“My brave boy. I am proud of you.”

Just as they were about to settle, the doors to the maternity room clicked open and Nereus was already on his feet, carrying Argentus in his arms, before the mediwitch could not ask them to enter.

There, slightly haggard but still beaming, Lady Lavenia Navarus motions for them to approach and meet the little bundle in her arm.

This time, it was Lord Navarus’ turn to sob.

“I named her Lyssandra Amaranth Navarus.” Lady Lavenia says while giggling at her sobbing husband.

“Father… Mother…” The two adults look at their son whose gaze was unbreaking toward his new sister.

“I will protect her with my life.” His conviction was met with laughter, one wet and mused while the other was full of endearment and joy.

_____

“Oh, Merlin…”

“I know…”

“She’s so little!”

“I know, Cousin Dion.”

“I’m gonna cry, Argentus.”

“Go ahead.”

_____

Though her older brother and eldest cousin took to spoiling her, she grew as a well-mannered child with discipline ingrained in her bones. She does allow her brother and favorite cousin to spoil her every now and then.

She was considered as a brilliant child with how her private tutors would always commend how quick she was able to understand and apply her lessons.

Lyssandra has an introverted disposition. She favors the company of her books and her family.

She likes people-watching and has an initial judgement of a person's character in her mind. She likes being proven about her first impressions and is sometimes discouraged if her first impression of a person remains true.

Above all, she loved Magic. The theory behind spells, the endless possibilities as to how one could utilize a certain spell, and result/s they bear. She grew up surrounded by magic and was free to ask and theorize as much as she wanted.

Lyssandra was envious of her brother and cousin who were all either able to perform the proper spells or are still attending formal education where they can learn and apply what they learned while she was stuck with her tutors, books, and imagination.

Still, if there was one thing Lyssandra was allowed to take great pride in—it is rude to brag after all—it was the fact that House Navarus holds a grand library spilling with books on a majority of subjects. Books that Lyssandra had free reign over.

“Another book today, Little Miss Lyssandra?” The amused voice of their Family Librarian would greet her as she is accompanied by an aide to return the previous books she borrowed.

“The last few books went on and on and by the time I realized, I had already wasted nearly an hour of my time and before I could get to the actual content, Madam Crescent.” She is met with a fond smile.

As a Pure-blood heiress, she was allowed to learn to her heart's content. The family never shied from whatever category the spell fell into—in the end, it is all magic. She was allowed to learn about the lightest and most harmless of charms to the most vile and most dangerous curses. Of course, she was taught better by being responsible for the spells she may learn.

“You could always ask Young Masters Argentus and Dion about it?” Lyssandra shook her head and instructed the aide to submit the books on her behalf. Madam Crescent taps her wand upon the books and gives a satisfied smile before waving her wand and letting the books return to their respective shelves.

She is allowed to ask questions and have an adult or someone older demonstrate whatever spell—within reason—catches her fancy.

There was also the fact that she had an older brother and an eldest cousin that would give her books on spellwork and demonstrate its effects.

“I was able to skim through the pages, Madam Crescent. I saw warnings and the like so I am sure that I would not be able to see what it looks like.” Lyssandra dismisses the aide as Madam Crescent gives her a smile.

“Another time then. Tell you what, once you enter Hogwarts, you can finally join the young masters in performing and comparing the spells you learn and begin to favor.”
Her words made Lyssandra’s eye sparkle with interest.

Other than that, both her brother and cousin studied under 2 different schools and therefore could talk or teach her about how each spell works in theory and in practical situations.

What a treat.

“I'll be looking forward to that.” She offers a small curtsy and leaves the library with a skip in her step and Madame Crescent waving her goodbye.

_____

“So when you use that spell that way, it can serve as a multipurpose utility and allow you to—”

“Cousin Dion, you're doing it again~” Pink ears.

“Whoops! But I digress, a spell isn't always a one trick Thestral,” Brows furrowing in confusion.

“A what?”

“Too grim of a magical beast, love.” A cheek poked.

“Oh! Then… a one trick… Pegasus? Whatever! The point is, if you're creative and powerful enough, a simple charm can be as dangerous as curse.”

_____

This is why she anticipates her birthday each year as she is one step closer to achieving her dreams.

Now that she was about to embark on her journey through Hogwarts, it was another source of information she could hopefully immerse herself on. Perhaps Hogwarts could teach her more about Spellwork and allow her to broaden her mind and open brand new possibilities on how to innovate and repurpose them.

_____

On the day she received her Hogwarts letter, she was over the moon that had she not read the theory on Patronus charms, she would’ve simply said that the joy she felt would’ve been enough to produce light wisps. Though, she knew it had to be something more powerful than that.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Lyssandra's First Instance of Magic was a memory that was both joyous (for her show of powerful magic) and terrifying(for the reason behind the need of such powerful accidental magic) event for the Navarus family.

After the Second Wizarding War, Curse-Breakers and Aurors were pulled left right and center—investigations, raids, manhunts, and dismantling of remaining cursed objects.

One time during Fall, Dion Elin Reinhardt né Navarus and his husband Carolus Reinhardt were visiting the Navarus manor for a quick break from both their Curse-Breaker and Auror duties.

It was meant to be a few days where they can just enjoy the company of their family and take a break from their respective responsibilities. Lyssandra, roughly5 years and a few months old at the time, was a curious and stubborn little thing that earned the delight and horror of her parents.

While Carolus was having a pleasant conversation with his in-laws and while Dion was playing with Argentus—who was on his way to Hogwarts at the time, Lyssandra found her way to one of the trunks that Dion and Carolus brought with them. There, she somehow found a small box that housed a volatile cursed object. Inside, the object hummed and earned little Lyssandra’s curiosity.

Sure, people (especially Dion) would think it unwise to bring such an object to a home where children reside, but the box was heavily fortified with layers of spells and enchanted chains for good measure. Dion wanted to bring it to his uncle Alexis and have him give it a look in case the current Lord of Navarus knew anything about it.

Instead, little Lyssandra got to have the first look. Several things happened at once, the alarms Dion placed on the box alerted the entire house and made 4 adults scramble to the sight of a small hand touching the box. The magic of the sealed cursed item reacted to the foreign trace. Carolus explained that:

"Because her magic was not attuned to the magical signature of the seals placed upon the cursed item, it disrupted the magic the runes used. Though the disruption was only miniscule, it was enough for the item to react. Poor Little Blue's magic was like a window of opportunity, and it lashed out as though it were sentient and wanted to latch on to her magic as a desperate means of escaping."

It was a whole bunch of jargons and complicated concepts at first, Carolus had to adjust his way of explaining it to her, though the thought still gave her a headache.

It was just a tiny little hiccup but it was enough to cause a pandemonium within the Navarus Manor.

All Argentus could tell her was that she was encased in a small blue bubble just in time for Cousin Dion to wrangle the magic of the cursed item back into a more secure and an even heavier layered container. Mother and father took a while to coax her out of her bubble so Carolus could tend to her bleeding hand. He said:

“Cousin Dion was apologizing profusely that he would’ve prostrated mother and father had father not caught him and reassured him that it was all an accident... He was so pale, Lyss… White as sheet. You were so little, yet your hand was so red, you weren’t crying but Cousin Dion looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown.”

Lyssandra could only look at the thin silvery line on her palm. If she touched it with her fingers, she could feel how the skin was stretched and raised to form that scar.

“It took Cousin Dion several moons before he could step foot past the wards of our property line. Mother and Father had long since forgiven him, but it looked like Cousin Dion still had a long way to go towards forgiving himself.”

Lyssandra remembered frowning.

“Is that why he spoils me so? Penance?”

Argentus squeezed her cheek painfully that she could still feel the sting to this day.

Volatile magic from a cursed object? Barely a gasp.

Cheeks squeezed by her older brother? Phantom pains.

“Nah, he spoils us regardless. It’s just that Cousin Dion became extra, extra, EXTRA careful about his luggage when he came to visit and refrained from bringing things that bore his experimental runes. Cousin Carolus says he looks mad and borderline obsessive a few nights before their visit… Something about… ‘constant vigilance’ and the like.”

Lyssandra never scorned him for it, yet—as twisted as it sounded—it made her quite interested in Spellwork and the like.

Reason for Pending: - Your character backstory is not detailed enough, it needs to be more about Lyssandra and not just her family at large. It should include things like where did she grow up? Who taught her how to read and write? We need to know what kind of life she lived before coming to Hogwarts.

Ally grew up as the heir to the Noble and Most Ancient House of Lecter. She had been homeschooled her entire life and most of the things were taught by her parents. Thanks to them she learned French and Italian as her mother is part Italian.

She grew up travelling around Europe as her family has a lot of houses all across it but the real home has always been the family manor near London. It has huge grounds so she was able to practice Quidditch and other broom-related sports all she wanted. It also has a huge library in which she liked to spend her days.

If you can’t find her there, she’s usually either exploring the manor (she already knows every nook and cranny in it, she just likes hiding) or on a walk in the forest surrounding the estate. She really loves animals, which is why she always tries to be in nature.

Her father holds a seat in the Wizengamot but is not part of the Sacred 28 as he does not condone their blood purism. Thanks to that she has been thoroughly educated in politics and etiquette. Even though her parents made sure that she was well travelled and knew a lot of languages, she doesn't know all that much about Muggles but she'd like to find out more.

First Instance of Magic:
Ally's first instance of magic was at the age of 5 when she managed to levitate a book down from the table.

Family History [Before Birth]
Tiberius Wrex is the middle child of Gaius Wrex and Isla Wrex (née Glenroy). Gaius is a high ranking official in the Scottish branch of the Ministry of Magic. He is a former Slytherin Quidditch Captain and the youngest of Lucien Wrex’s seven children. It’s at Hogwarts that Gaius met Isla, a Ravenclaw with a love for art. They married shortly after school and moved to Edinburgh, although this was a few hours away from Isla’s native Aberdeen they wanted their children to have a strong support network so it was fitting as Gaius’ family is so much larger.
There, Gaius got a job in the Ministry thanks to his father’s connections. Meanwhile Isla pursued her love of art, being commissioned by rich families to paint moving portraits. She particularly liked creating portraits for deceased family members; while it may seem morbid, she loved bringing a family member’s likeness to life so they can watch over their children and descendants. They enjoyed their life, living close to Gaius’ six siblings as they began to have children. The Wrexes had what felt like their own little village consisting of their large houses on the outskirts of Edinburgh/Midlothian. Isla was the last to fall pregnant, a few years into her career. She fully intended on continuing to work but pressures from Gaius and his family pushed her to reconsider. Although she loved being with her children while they grew up it’s clear that she holds some resentment towards Gaius and his family because of this. It’s a sore spot which rears its head occasionally in their marriage.

They named their first child Doremus. He was the spitting image of his father who was elated to be having a son. Although he was growing into an aloof and absent husband, Gaius was a very present and active father with Doremus. He would read to him, play with him, and take him to watch his older cousins play Quidditch. During this time, Gaius and Isla were growing apart. She missed her family and felt like an outcast amongst the boisterous Wrexes. When Doremus turned one, Isla left Edinburgh for Aberdeen. She visited as often as she could but Gaius never took the child up north or went to visit her. On one of her visits down south, she and Gaius rekindled their relationship for a time. When she discovered that she was pregnant, Isla reluctantly moved back to the capital.

Early Life [Birth to 5 Years Old]
Tiberius Wrex was born in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh at 00:15 on the fifth of July 2013. He was a quiet and easy to handle baby, well loved in his large extended family as he could be passed around for cuddles without a fuss. As he grew into a toddler, his father tried to include him in the games with Doremus but his second son showed little interest. Tiberius preferred to play by himself or be read to. As he spent more time indoors than his brother and father, he was the only one to catch his mother painting. It became their little secret; he would play quietly and she would paint. Sometimes she would paint exciting pictures for Tiberius: fire-breathing dragons, duels between great wizards etc. He loved them and their quality time together made Isla feel more at home in Edinburgh.

From the age of three, Tiberius tried to get involved in the lessons that his brother and cousins attended. In the Wrex family, once a child turns five, they begin their primary tutoring to prepare them for Hogwarts. However, this was far too late for Tiberius’ liking and so he tried to gate-crash their lessons as often as possible. The family governess, Agnes Plimm, was a kind and patient woman. She would let him sit in a little chair at the front with her – both so that she could keep an eye on him but also because, on days when the rest of her students refused to listen, she would just speak to Tiberius. He didn’t understand everything that she was talking about but his eyes were always lit up and he looked more engaged than any student she had seen before.

It was around this time that it became clear Tiberius was quite different when compared to the mischievous Wrex family. His brother and cousins preferred to play pranks – sometimes quite cruel – on each other and the older members of the family and they enjoyed playing and watching sports. On more than one occasion someone has had their wand confiscated by a parent to stop them trying to perform underage magic. Tiberius, on the other hand, was getting into reading and spent as much time as possible with his nose in a book. The only danger he would get in to was climbing the large bookshelves in his father’s study.

Primary Education [5 to 11 Years old]
Finally, it was time for Tiberius to formally begin his education. As well as the normal lessons, he would attend additional tutoring with the governess whenever she would allow it. He was excelling in his lessons which resulted in a bit of jealousy from the other young members in his family, particularly Doremus. His brother started a rumour that Tiberius was a squib and would never become a real wizard. At the same time, Doremus was soon to turn eleven and hadn’t yet had his first instance of magic while almost every other family member had.

When Doremus’ eleventh birthday came and went with no sign of magic, the family was devastated. He was the perfect son: athletic, handsome, and confident. Gaius tried to rationalise the situation but eventually had to come to terms with his worst fear: his favourite son was a squib. Showing just how conditional his love was, Gaius sent Doremus away to the west coast to live with his sister, Callista, who was also a squib. Then he turned his ‘affections’ to Tiberius.

Tiberius hated how easily his brother was cast away. He began sending letters to him. Even though he only received answers occasionally, that never stopped him. The letters became less of a correspondence and more of a diary after a while. He still writes to his brother to this day, although he hasn’t received a response in almost two years.

Not long after Doremus had been sent away, Isla gave birth to a little girl whom they named Eudora. Tiberius fell in love with her immediately, determined to never make her feel the same way that Doremus and the rest of the family had made him feel. He would always read to her, and whenever he learnt something new, he would go and relay the information to her, relishing in the engaged babbles she would let out.

Once his father started seeing him as his last hope, Tiberius underwent rigorous training to become the same arrogant quidditch star his father was at Hogwarts. Gaius was a formidable Beater back in his day. The most he's managed to get from Tiberius is that he'll try out as a Chaser when the time comes. His father began getting more desperate at Tiberius’ eleventh birthday approached.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Tiberius' first instance of magic finally happened just over a month before he turned eleven and was during a bout of uncharacteristic anger. His father was reading the newspaper while disparaging Doremus. At the time, Tiberius was ten years old and was also concerned that he might be a squib. He glared at his father as he talked about his brother. Then the newspaper began to smoke; slowly at first then it suddenly burst into flames. Gaius was so relieved that his son was a wizard he didn't even punish Tiberius.

Family: Charlotte lives with her dad, mom, and younger sister. Her family is from China, but moved to England (a few generations ago). Her dad is a muggle born and her mom is from a pureblood family. Charlotte grew up in both cultures, and knew many things from both sides. She was used to watching the dishes clean themselves and loved magic from a young age. Still, she knew quite a bit of muggle related things, and enjoyed those activities too. She has a dog named Teddy, and loves to play with him. Charlotte would sit on the couch, and Teddy would jump on her lap. Even though, Charlotte has only four (not including the dog) family members she lives with, she has a very big family. Charlotte has many cousins, and are very close with them. During fun gatherings, Charlotte and her cousins would play outside, whether it was role-playing as powerful wizards, kicking around a ball, watching the dogs play, or just talking about their lives. Charlotte also likes to play her violin and has been playing for more than two years. She enjoys it, and even played in a concert once. (Even though she didn't want to) Charlotte uses her great-grandfather's violin, who was a great violinist. When Charlotte got her letter for Hogwarts, she was quite surprised and she (tried) to learn everything about it.

First Instance of magic:

Charlotte's first experience with magic was when she was 7 years old. Charlotte loved the swing set in her backyard. She would swing and swing feeling the rush of air in her face. The only thing she didn't like was that there was only so high you could go. Charlotte wanted to be as high as a bird and fly! One day, Charlotte willed herself to go higher and higher when suddenly, the swing shot her right up to the sky! She watched in amazement as the swing set got smaller and smaller. For a quick few seconds, Charlotte was as high as a bird. Then she fell down, down, down. Charlotte closed her eyes bracing for impact. But when she opened her eyes, she was landing on a pile of pillows, protecting her from the fall.

Lorraine's life in the muggle world wasn't all that bad, in fact, she loved it. She grew up in the wealthy side of Cork, the second wealthiest city in Ireland. She was born an only child to two parents of rich ancestry, one was a model and one was the only heir and current CEO of a wealthy family business. Growing up an only child, isn't exactly fun, which is where she started to fall in love with socializing. Often, when her parents would throw lavish parties for their achievements or just for fun, Lorraine wouldn't just sit back and enjoy the food (though she usually does), she'd instead get to know the other children her parents' friends would often bring along.

She also always sees the best in people, even if they don't seem to get along. She believes that god has given life to all of us not just because he wanted to, but because he believed that we, even the bad, deserves to live and experience the world. The Hawkes are also very religious, they would often donate charity or to the church if they think that they don't deserve the money.

Though, at first sight, her parents might seem like the 'strict, rule-abiding, wealthy parents', but they're actually pretty kind to all people. Their most prized possession is their angel of a daughter. They already even write out their will to give half their possessions to charity and half to their daughter when they knew about her mother, Faye's, pregnancy.

Lorraine was taught early on, about etiquette and respect, she demonstrates these hone skills perfectly during family gatherings. She was also taught to always cherish every moment, because sometimes, those could be the very last moments with them

She was a very sociable kid growing up, though she was almost all the time home schooled, she would often go out by her own and try to make friends with her new neighbors. She also never really thought about being above others frequently, she thought that everybody has their own talent to show when they're ready.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Lorraine's first instance of magic was when she was 7, it was nearing the end of winter and the sun was out and she was playing with a friend of hers. A snobbish boy with his friends then began to joke about her friend's family because her parents had to work hard so that they could be successful and moved into the neighborhood they lived in. She was so furious that when the boy wanted to leave, she accidentally mad a small patch of ice turn into water and the boy slipped. Lorraine thought it was hilarious and didn't know that she was performing magic because she thought that the sun had melted it, when she told her parents though, they were utterly confused, it wasn't until she received her letter from a staff from Hogwarts that came to their house that when she and her parents finally understood of her ability.
