First Instance of Magic: The Pajari family is one of the eldest and most prolific Seer lineages in all of Scandinavia, dating back hundreds of years with nary a single child born sans the Sight. (Well, at least all the children they claim as their own have the gift. Those without it... there's a reason they don't use the Pajari name.)
Unelma Pajari, "The Dreamer", hailed from this family; as a child, and like many generations of Pajaris before her, Unelma attended Beauxbatons, where she was taught to control, interpret, and understand her visions, many of which came to her in dreams - hence the nickname. Sought-after as a Seer not only in her native home of Finland but all over the world, Unelma travelled extensively post-graduation for her work; this led her to Russia, specifically a small town in the Saratov oblast, where she met Lavrentiy Vorozheykin.
Lavrentiy was a маглы - a Muggle - and, yet, he clocked her immediately as being different. Perhaps it was the snow-white hair or the tarot card deck that spilled haphazardly from her bag when they bumped into each other; either way, he never minded her peculiarity. That was more than could be said for the Pajaris. When Unelma returned to inform them that she had fallen in love with someone of non-magical descent, and that they would be married in Russia soon, the family laughed in her face. The marriage was illegitimate, they said, and any children borne of it would surely not bear the gift.
The first and only child born to the newlywed couple, Aulis - given a Finnish name, just in case - was Unelma's only hope for returning to the fold, for proving the strength of her blood, and from a very young age, Aulis was told he would have the Sight. Trained to be a Seer - to be the first half-blood Seer in his family in over a century. He would be the little prince, the little heir, a Pajari, despite his surname. As for his light brown hair, Unelma wasn't worried - hers had been the same shade until she turned sixteen.
However, Aulis expected his entire childhood to have the symptoms when he hit teenhood - the visions, the white hair, the lot. As the fateful sixteenth birthday inched closer, Aulis felt the lack of these more and more, until, the night before he turned sixteen, in a fit of rage the young boy coloured his roots white. If his Sight wasn't going to follow the typical family schedule, he would just have to hurry it along. Unfortunately, time ticked on without any sign of the gift, and by the time Aulis realised that he had not been lucky enough to inherit it, it was too late - everyone around him believed him to be a Seer, and who was he to tell them that it had all just been a lie? Having attended and boarded at Koldovstoretz since the age of six, Aulis was loath to ruin his last year there - and he enjoyed Divination, well enough to continue it as a job after graduation. Taking up his mother's mantle of a travelling Seer, he found after a few years that it was not for him and returned to teach as a Vedmak with a divinatory specialty, though his skill at magic in general made him well-suited to teach traditional spells as well.
When the Director of Studies perished at Pyre, Aulis threw his name in the ring for the new position, having always craved power and prestige; perhaps becoming a Head of a school would finally make the Pajari family look twice at him. However, he was passed over for the position in favor of Yegor, who was forty years his senior; such a youthful Head was not good for the school's image, or so he was told. When Yegor left months later, Aulis was not going to leave this second chance up to fate; instead, as he always did, he took fate into his hands and spun it himself with a mighty yank of the wheel. Faking prophecies was second nature to him by now, and it was easy enough to convince the necessary people that great harm would befall the school unless he were appointed Director of Studies. Anyway, Aulis was very well-attuned to the power of image; he would put in the work to improve Koldovstoretz's, and ensure that no one ever thought of them as the tiniest, the poorest, the most worthless school of the main Eleven ever again.

As a very young child, the boy enjoyed spending time in his mother's divinatory parlor; the tea leaves smelled nice, and the tarot cards made a fun sound when falling to the floor, even if he didn't quite like the way his mother snapped at him to pick them up afterwards. At five, Aulis was spending one such normal evening in the parlor when he noticed a smudge on his mother's crystal ball, way up on the table. The Seeress always liked to keep it pristinely clean, and while the rag used to buff streaks off the glass was situated on the edge of the table, within the kid's reach, the crystal ball itself was too far back. Aulis began to cry, frustrated that he was not able to reach, and when he looked up it had rolled off its pedestal and closer to the edge without him touching it or reaching for it; it was only when Unelma walked in to find her son polishing the crystal ball she had definitely placed out of his reach on purpose that it occurred to her that magic may have occurred.
Of course, his mother walking in startled Aulis, and he dropped the ball - which shattered on the cold stone floor below, a million glistening shards of glass scattering every which way. Unelma was so excited for Aulis's magic manifesting in her divination parlor, though, that she barely gave him a scolding for breaking it. After all, if the boy's first act of magic was related to a crystal ball, surely he would have the gift someday.

Aiker Ardal Clearwater was born on a hot and loud afternoon. He comes from a large Irish family, both of his parents are from the same old Belfast. His family was not surprised when Aiker inherited all their freckles and very redhead features, because there was no way around that. He is 4.4 or 1,35, so, short, but also does not bothers him very much. Even though his family loves to go to the beach and enjoy the sunlight, Aiker reject the sun very much, so his skin is as pale as a ghost, or that´s what some of his mother´s sisters have said to him. His eyes are special to him, because of the strong and dark brown in them, daily reminder of his mother, as she has the same. His hair is long, he likes it that way because he can put it in a bun and that way he can see better. As said before, his face, neck, and nearly all of his body are full of freckles and spots from his father´s family, his friends have said to him that his spots are like a universe on its own. Besides all of that, he needs glasses, but very often he does not wear them.
His family is very little, but very calming and relaxing to be around. His father is a carpenter, and his mother is a genius with words, his favorite thing to hear in the nights are his mother's stories, that after the reading sessions, she writes and publishes. Their life is very simple and quiet, because of the strong and high values they have, and that they teach Aiker since he was a baby. Her mother's side is pretty extensive, three sisters and two brothers, very close to each other. But the side of his father only consists of his adopted uncle, that basically lives with them since his father's parents died. Aiker was homeschooled from the ages 4 to 7, and then was sent to the same school both his parents went to. He has very few friends, always liked the quiet and calm sound of the library. Always polite enough to everyone he meets and encounters.
He is a very calm and quiet person, but very bad with hiding his emotions, especially through his eyes (He is very bad with eye contact, for that cause) and body. Also, he has no problem concentrating, all of his work is made from pure dedication and a curious mind. His parents are strong on their beliefs, so they teach him from age 5 how to behave in front of others and how to be delicate with people. His values are very strong, for consequence, and that's something that some people find annoying. His clothes are always clean and presentable, always washed and cleaned himself, and their parents are proud of that. He can be inside the house on his desk for a very long time, without making much noise, except for his music, that he loves to hear in the mornings. He likes very much all that it has to do with books, when he is presented with his first edition of "The little prince", his eyes would not leave the pages until he finished it one week later. After that, all he loves are books. Also, in between lessons from school and reading, he likes to draw, especially with charcoal, it's calming for him and he likes how the material feels, helps him understand more of his emotions.
He was ten years of age when his first magic encounter reached him. Was a late night and his mother and him were talking and getting ready to sleep, when he over heard his father and uncle arguing about what color of hair the family looked better on, reaching a point of agreeing that red hair is an outstanding color, and from common knowledge on the family, they are a very discreet one. His mother brushed his long hair when this was happening. On his mind, he liked the color, but the argument was very present on his mind when he went to sleep. The next morning, he found himself looking for an hour straight on the mirror after finding his large and red hair being a profound black color, from his roots to his eyebrows. He told his parents that he was trying a new color before the start of the year, hiding and trying to convince himself that he dyed his hair before going to bed. After a few months, his hair was back to his normal red.

Grace Mitchell was born on December 2, 2012, in Berkhamsted, a small English town, on a cold and gray day. She grew up in an environment filled with books, potions and ancient artifacts. Her parents, both very busy magicians in their respective careers, have always tried to convey the importance of independence and resourcefulness, but never forgetting the importance of rules.
Grace is the younger of two sisters. Her father, Edgar Mitchell, an expert potionist, is a man of science , immersed in his experiments and research. His dedication to his work often leads him to isolate himself, but when he spends time with his family he is an affectionate and patient man. Her mother, Vivienne Mitchell (born Ravensdale), is a witch restorer of magical artifacts: a meticulous and precise woman. She travels extensively, which allows her to tell her daughters different stories of her adventures. The eldest, Catherine “Cat” Mitchell, unlike Grace has uba perfectionist and ambitious personality. She has always considered her presence cumbersome, too weak and insignificant to live up to her, fueling a relationship of coldness.
Her closest friend, was Eleanor “Ellie” Wrenford. A bolder little girl who always knew how to make her laugh. The two had known each other since they were children, and their first meeting occurred during a town festival in Berkhamsted. As Grace wandered among the stalls, she tripped over a rock. Embarrassed and in shame, she heard a crystal clear laugh: it was Ellie who held out her hand and helped her up. From then on, they became inseparable.
At age 11, something was about to change. Grace received the letter for Hogwarts: excited and nervous, with the letter in her hand and her eyes full of dreams, she prepared to embark on an adventure that would change her life. She would finally have the opportunity to live away from the shadows of her older sister and find her place in the world.

At the age of 9, Grace had her first accidental spell. It was a dark and gloomy day, and Grace was sitting by the window, watching the raindrops fall on the glass. Her sister Catherine, sitting not far away, was ignoring her as usual. Whenever Grace tried to make conversation and break the silence, the answers were always short and distant. No matter what she asked her, whether she asked about her day or tried to tell her something about herself, her words seemed either too many or useless. So she sat in silence, staring at the raindrops, lost in thought. But something changed. A shiver ran down her skin, and when she looked down she was surprised to see that her clothes were wet. But how was that possible when she was inside the house? She tried to think, but she couldn't understand what had just happened, she could only stand there and watch it. Could it have been her?
Her First Instance of Magic was a little drizzle indoors, caused by his sister's detached behaviour.

Character name (First and last name): Quentin Harrington
School Year or Adult Level: First Year
Does any Profile Card info need changing? No.

Character Statistics: STA - 7 | EVA - 5 | STR - 5 | WIS - 7 | ARC - 5 | ACC - 6
Character Special Race/Talent: Human
Character Backstory:
Quentin is just slightly taller than most of the other boys his age, though he is slender, just like his father. He has dark brown hair that almost resembles a wave across his head and light brown, almost hazel eyes. He has pale skin that darkens slightly during the summer months because of all the time he spends outdoors. He has an easy smile generally, though he can be shy around certain people.
Quentin has always been rather easy-going and friendly. He has a lot of friends back at his muggle school, mostly because he has a lot of interests and generally hates the thought of someone being left out or excluded. He enjoys playing sports but also has some academic interests, such as history, and he also plays the piano quite well. He likes to laugh and have fun and can be a bit rambunctious sometimes, but it generally down for anything.
Quentin was born to muggle parents and grew up in Cambridge, where his father, John, is a professor of history at the University. His mother, Judy, is a music teacher at one of the local primary schools. He is an only child and has a great relationship with his parents. He has developed a love of history from his father, and is quite talented at piano thanks to the lessons from his mother. However, his first love is football, and he has always played keeper and been very successful. Both of his parents were shocked to learn that the wizarding world existed, but his father was especially fascinated to learn about the history.
First Instance of Magic:
Quentin's first instance of wandless magic occurred on the pitch when he was 9 years old. Just a year or so prior, his team was playing their biggest rival in the biggest match of the season. The other team's striker, a short, but fiery and excitable boy named Grey, managed to break away from the rest of the defenders and was streaking down the pitch straight towards him. Just as Quentin decided to rush him, Grey laced a near perfect shot towards the corner post. Quentin reacted quickly, stretching his lanky frame as much as he could and reaching with all his might but he just didn't have the length to get his fingers on it. Just as the realization that they were about to lose the match began he felt something... different. It felt like a sensation moving up his arms and out towards his fingertips. And suddenly, it was almost as though an invisible force was extending from his hands, punching the ball to the outside of the goalpost at the last possible second. The crowd erupted and his teammates swarmed him, as he'd just saved the game. It seemed that none of them had noticed that he hadn't quite had the reach. None except for maybe Grey, who was watching him with a puzzled frown. Quentin grinned as his friends mobbed him, but he couldn't help but feel like he'd done something he shouldn't have. That he'd cheated. He just wasn't exactly sure how.

Though when collion said that they wrote to each other during their school years, it dawned on her, the 21 year old man in front of her was her quill pal, though after sometimes together Saehee had gotten pregnant at 19 such a young age to have children, she wasn't even married for Christ sake. though collion made a promise to help her through this, since I mean it was his child. after a year Niyxa was born and about 2 years after that they got married.
Afterbirth
Andronica parents were strict but loving, she cared and loved her parents as much as they loved her though moving to Ireland when she was a big change on her life, making it a lot harder for her to make friends, since she became more kept to self and more quiet than back in russia where she was always energetic, happy and always wanting to be outside, but since being here well...shes more inside, introverted and upset she missed seeing her sister though they sent owls often but it wasn't the same, but she had her younger brother they were three years apart, since he was born when she was three, her youngest brother Arson was mischievous often found tearing down stuff or breaking things, Once getting into Ireland though, since her father was hella loaded they bought a manor which was nice the vibes it gave off were endering

Character Back story/First instinct of Magic
Before Birth :
Saehee park was sweet and kind, something people often took advantage of She was in the Koldovstoretz, which gave her the knowledge she has, though she can read people like a open book so when she first met Collin, she was a tad keptikal since he came her all the way from America just to find her she didn't even know him? right?

- Your stats must add up to 35 as a human character. Currently they add up to 21.
- You must have Andronica's age included in your encyclopedia. Currently, it is missing.
- Please include what species you would like to be, both in this post and in your encyclopedia. If human, you don't need to add anything else, just the word Human. If a special race or talent, you will need to write another application in this post (see here for more information).
- Please explain how Andronica was educated prior to attending Hogwarts. For more information on pre-Hogwarts magical education, refer to this post.
- In your encyclopedia, you mention characters such as Nora O and Wyatt Romanova. Please take care to explain whether these characters are NPCs or other PCs, and if they are the latter, make sure you state if you have gotten their permission to include/godmod them.
- Why did Andronica no longer see her sister after moving to Ireland? Please explain why her sister would not have moved with the rest of the family. Also, why did the family move to Ireland in the first place?
- You state that Andronica's father bought a manor in England, but that the family moved to Ireland. These are two different countries. Please make sure you pick only one or explain why they would also have a house in a different country as well.
- Your nationality lists Irish, but you state that Andronica is Korean-Russian and has no Irish heritage. Nationality does not mean where you live so much as where you were born/where your heritage is from (which, in Andronica's case, would most likely be Russian (or Korean)). As only an administrator can change your profile card nationality for you, please let us know what you would like to change your nationality to. Unfortunately, we cannot list multiple nationalities, so you must choose one.

Character Statistics: Stamina: 6 | Evasion: 7 | Strength: 0 | Wisdom: 8 | Arcane Power: 5| Accuracy: 9
Character Special Race/Talent: Perfectionist Applying For: Parselmouth
Application:
ReducioThe Night Adventure:
Karina Eaglewood went out into the night meadow. She could feel coolness in the air and smell flowers in the field. She felt excited because it was a very special night tonight. She has heard stories that happen in this meadow: stories of magic and secrets that she is raring to unmask.
Bizarre Connection:
Karina always had a special attachment to snakes. While other children were afraid of them, Karina felt as if she understood them. She felt that snakes knew she was different and trusted her. Sometimes, her school friends would wonder why she wasn't afraid. Karina couldn't explain this to them completely. It's like trying to explain a feeling deep in one's heart.
Family History:
Karina's family had a tradition of magic. Her great-great-grandfather could talk to snakes, which was called Parseltongue. This had not been seen in her family for many years. Karina always sensed that her forefathers were guiding her, telling her that she was meant to do that. She often dreamed of them standing in old robes, whispering secrets in a language she was just learning.
The Snake's Call:
The middle of the meadow reached Karina as she saw glowing in the moonlight a stone altar. In the center of the altar stood a beautiful snake with shining scales. Its eyes looked wise and knowing. It was as if the snake called her. For a moment, Karina was hesitant, heart pounding in her chest, then took a deep breath and took a step forward.
The Moment:
Karina took a deep breath and reached out to touch the snake. When her fingers touched its cool, smooth skin, she felt a rush of energy. Suddenly, she could hear the snake’s voice in her mind. It spoke to her in a soft, musical way, sharing wisdom and knowledge. The words were strange yet familiar, and Karina found that she could understand them perfectly.
Accepting the Gift:
Karina had this very compelling sense of purpose; it dawned on her that her connection with snakes wasn't just a gift, but destined to be. It was her responsibility toward the protection and understanding of such animals. In the meadow, Karina knew that she belonged to something much greater and important. While looking into the snake's eyes, she promised herself an honorable tribute to this gift.
New Beginning:
The sun was well up, which for Karina meant the very beginning of her journey. She is more than a student from Hogwarts.io-she is the guard of the ancient knowledge and a friend for snakes. And with this new ability added to her arsenal, Karina felt ready for whatever lay ahead in store and to become a Parselmouth. She would learn everything possible about this gift and seek to use it in a manner helpful to others, that they, too, might more strongly appreciate the beauty and mystery in nature.
Building Trust:
Upon arriving back at Hogwarts.io, Karina began discussing her experiences with the other students and professors. All the ones who knew her were astounded when she was able to talk with snakes. They wanted to hear more about the nature of snakes, their habits, and their relevance to the magical world. Karina was also teaching her peers how to look at snakes differently: not as threats, but as amazing animals that one needed to have respect for.
Challenges and Growth:
Of course, not everyone was immediately accepting. Some students remained wary of snakes and of Karina's abilities. But Karina was patient and kind, always ready to answer questions and dispel fears. She knew that with time, understanding would come. Through her journey, she learned more about herself and her strengths. She gained in confidence and began to feel that her gift was indeed a blessing.
A Promising Future:
As it so happened, Karina grew to love snakes. She found new ways of using Parseltongue to solve problems and help others. A dream she had held-to build a bridge between the magical and natural worlds-was becoming a reality. She knew her journey was not near its end as she looked to the future. Each new day found her embracing her role with gratitude and determination to face whatever lay ahead.
The road to becoming a Parselmouth for Karina was one of comprehension and harmony. Her connection with snakes showed her bravery and dedication to the wizarding world. Guided by the wisdom of her ancestors and the serpents, Karina was prepared to undertake the challenge of her new status and safeguard the balance of nature.
Character Backstory:ReducioKarina had few friends but they were really close. Before she was invited to Hogwarts, she went to the same school as her friends did. She often spent her free time dancing, drawing, playing with friends, and hanging out with pets and family. She is a really good dancer but of course has things to improve. She doesn't like to show-off to others and often tries to stay quiet with people she isn't close with. Before Hogwarts, her life was humble; she lived in a small house with only a brother and a cat as a companion. Her parents were always busy working and rarely spent any time with her. Usually when her parents were at work, Karina's Grandma would come over and baby-sit them. Karina loved to cook with her grandma when ever she came over. They would make brownies, pies, cookies, and many more sweets.
Karina's mom recently gave birth to a girl named Isla, but that was when Karina was already in Hogwarts. She was born in Russia but raised in America, where in her early life soon was moved to England to be closer to her parents' jobs. She lived in London with her family until received the letter to Hogwarts.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioA week before her 8th birthday, my character was out playing with her friends (Nina, Victoria, and Cora) in the park when a group of older boys walk up to them and start teasing them because the girls were playing a childish game of hide-and-go-seek. The girls were very confused on why these boys decided to pick on them. My character started walking backwards but tripped over a bottle, splashing the boys. The bottle was half empty but somehow the boys ended up soaking wet. "How was there so much water in that bottle enough to wet all the boys?" She wondered. Willing to learn more, she read so many books about water, but still found no answers.

First and foremost, you are already indexed. You do not need to apply for index again. If you want to be reindexed because you want to make significant changes to your backstory, please refer here. Alas, you have already been indexed as a human and the 30-day window to apply for a special ability like Parselmouth has passed, so you cannot apply for that here nor in the Index Re-Application thread.

Character name (First and last name): Ezriell Rein Maddox
School Year or Adult Level: 1st Year
Does any Profile Card info need changing? No
Link to the character page: This is just a url to my encyclopedia.
Character Statistics: Stamina: 6 | Evasion: 6 | Strength: 1 | Wisdom: 8 | Arcane Power: 5| Accuracy: 9
Character Special Race/Talent: None
Character Backstory: Ezriell grew up around pure-bloods. No muggles. He didn't even go to a normal school. His parents had homeschooled him. With absolutely no normal stuff, his house consisted of wacky plants, foods, and interesting money known as Gellons, Sickles, and Knuts. He'd get in a lot of trouble if anybody outside his family found out he wasn't doing normal muggle stuff.
Though Ezriell was known to be a troublemaker or rulebreaker, he'd had some pretty interesting stories, with his parents not knowing. For example; his parents would tell him to not throw stones at passing muggle things on wheels (or 'cars'). But this is Ezriell we're talking about. Of course, he didn't listen. He'd run out and act like any normal tween-aged boy would. He'd climb trees, dig up bugs, (but the only thing that wasn't normal, was the fact that bugs and trees were magical,) and lastly he'd throw stones at passing things on wheels ('cars').
In his free-time, (aside from the troublemaking) he would read in his backyard. He was basically drowning in his own boredom the years before he got to Hogwarts because his parents were strict. Ezie would remain grounded after the mischievous, yet exciting rules he'd broken and so he'd be sitting in the backyard and reading. Now, with his parents not around, he can do so much stuff he couldn't do before!!! That is, until he is caught....
FIOM: Ezriell had always been clumsy with his emotions, like a storm contained in too small a jar. That night of his 9th birthday, a frustration bubbled in his chest. His parents were upset with his rule-breaking, and had canceled his birthday party. He slammed his hand onto the old wooden table. The moment his palm struck, a faint ripple of light spilled out across the room, flickering like an accidental spark from a campfire. The books on the shelf rattled as though they’d been startled awake, and the glass of water by his side began to float, trembling slightly in the air before it dropped back down with a soft clink. Ezriell froze, staring wide-eyed at the table as his breath hitched. "what..." he whispered, his voice barely audible over the quiet hum that lingered in the air, as if the world itself was holding its breath with him.

- You must include your backstory in your encyclopedia. It is currently here in the application post but missing from your encyclopedia.
- Also, your pre-Hogwarts backstory must total 220 words not including the First Instance of Magic (it is currently at 87). Please expand more upon Ezriell's pre-Hogwarts life (family, for instance).
- How old was Ezriell when his first instance of magic occurred? This must have happened before his 11th birthday for him to have been invited to Hogwarts, and typically occurs between the ages of 3 and 10.

-The Human Bouncy Ball-
It was a perfectly normal summer afternoon in Balsham, England. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and an eight-year-old Richard was up to no good.
As always.
Richard had never been the type to sit still for long, and on this particular afternoon, he had decided that he was going to impress his sister Cassandra by doing something absolutely legendary well to him at least:
He was going to climb the tallest tree in the village park and retrieve a football that had been stuck there for weeks. No one dared to grab it due to how tall it was.
“Are you sure about this?” Cassandra asked, standing below with her arms crossed. She was twelve at the time, already a student at Hogwarts, and much more aware of the dangers of being an idiot than her younger brother.
“Of course I am!” Richard declared, cracking his knuckles like some sort of professional tree climber. “I’ve got this sis. Soon the other kids won't be scared of this tree either.”
Cassandra sighed. “You could just wait for Dad to get it down. He can just use his magic when no one is looking.”
“Where’s the fun in that? Dad taught us that not everything we do requires magic.”
And with that, Richard began his ascent up the tree.
At first, everything went smoothly. Richard scrambled up the lower branches like an expert, finding good footholds, moving with the confidence of a kid who had zero fear of getting hurt.
Halfway up, he glanced down at Cassandra, who was now watching with a mix of amusement and mild concern.
“See? I told you worry wart I—”
CRACK!
A branch snapped under his foot.
Richard barely had time to yelp before he slipped, flailed, and somehow managed to grab hold of another branch at the last second.
Dangling ten feet off the ground, he gritted his teeth and pulled himself back up.
Cassandra facepalmed. “Richard, just come back down before you—”
But Richard wasn’t listening.
The football was just within reach now, perched between two high branches. He stretched out his hand—
Almost there…
One more inch—
And then like a sick joke the pigeons attacked.
A sudden flurry of feathers exploded from the branches above as an entire flock of very angry pigeons erupted into the air, squawking furiously at having their afternoon nap disturbed.
Richard had about half a second to process his mistake before one of them smacked him in the face with its wing.
“AAGH!”
He lost his grip.
Richard plummeted downward.
“RICHARD!” Cassandra shrieked in horror.
He had just enough time to realize he was about to break every bone in his body before—
BOOM!
A burst of blue energy exploded from his body, and suddenly—
He wasn’t falling anymore.
Instead, he was floating.
Or rather bouncing.
Richard hit the ground like a rubber ball, bounced ten feet into the air, flipped end over end, and then—
BOING.
He bounced again.
And again.
And again.
Like a human basketball, he boinged uncontrollably across the park, arms flailing, legs kicking, screaming the entire time with fear in his voice.
“CASSANDRA, HELP!”
His sister, who had been rushing toward him in panic, now stood frozen, her hands on her knees, laughing so hard she could barely breathe. Richard bounced over a park bench, narrowly missed a very confused old man walking his dog and sprang off a hedge before finally coming to a very undignified stop in a flower bed.
Face-down.
With the football somehow tucked under his arm.
Cassandra was wheezing.
“Pfft—y-you—y-you—” she gasped between fits of laughter. “You looked—like—like a bloody bouncy ball!”
Richard groaned, spitting out dirt and flower petals. “Shut. Up.”
Of course, the commotion had drawn attention. Their mother came rushing into the park, saw Richard looking like he’d fought a garden and lost, and immediately demanded answers on what happened.
Cassandra, still choking on laughter, managed to explain what happened between gasps.
Eleanor Maxwell sighed, pinched the bridge of her nose, and muttered, “Just like his father.”
That was the day Richard Maxwell awakened his magic.
His family never let him live it down.
To this day, Cassandra still calls him “The Human Bouncy Ball.”
And Richard still hates pigeons.

His parents grew up in Japan but moved shortly before they married to England, where they had him afterwards. Ameko didn’t have any friends growing up because he was more focussed on his studies and hobbies (which he considered better and more interesting than human friends), so thus was a loner. He was often forgotten not just because of this, but also because of his background presence where people would always overlook him. Teachers and students alike could never remember that he was a part of the class. The few classmates he grew closer to (barely more than acquaintances, though) were the other top students who had high grades. Both of his parents are half-bloods, so as he grew older, magic and the history of it were slowly introduced and integrated to him. This only further alienated him from everyone else, as he now had another reason he was 'different' from those 'normal' people. His parents are strict on his studies and upbringing, but have let him have free time whenever he gets high/perfect scores. Those times were where he learnt a range of different skills and knowledge. Although he sometimes complains in his mind (never aloud), Ameko knows they love him and want the best for him. So, without visible protest, he always does as his parents tell him to.
First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Ameko’s first instance of magic happened when he was 9, nearly 10. He was carrying his father’s birthday cake when he tripped. Panicked, Ameko gasped - and suddenly the cake was back on the plate instead of the floor, even though it should have gotten all over the carpet.
His parents were overjoyed, not just because they didn’t have to clean the carpet.

Hero had always liked snakes. There was just something about them, how they worked differently than other animals. Besides, snakes and lizards look very similar to dragons. While snakes were cool, dragons were epic. Literally. There was something amazing about big scaly monsters that could breathe fire and needed iron men to destroy them. This obsession would carry into his daily life, where he surrounded himself with things like God Zilla and Jurassic Park.
Hero's grandfather on his father's side also shared this love of everything reptilian. He ran a reptile exhibit and had worked in the local zoo. His grandfather had a giant boa constrictor named 'Moby Dick'. Hero's grandfather and Moby Dick seemed to have a unique connection - often hissing back and forth between each other. Hero spent some of his weekends in a smoky hazy room, playing cards with his grandfather as the latter chomped on the end of a cigar and told him stories of when he was younger and the magical adventures that he'd gone on with his friends. Hero wasn't aware of it at the time, but his grandfather was a halfblood wizard.
Eight year old Hero had been begging for a pet snake for a good while ever since his friend James had gotten one. Annoyed by the constant pestering, his mother decided to tell him that if he caught one, he could keep it. This was a feeble attempt to get Hero out of the house and into the backyard for a few hours to burn off the excess energy. So out and to the garden Hero went, shouting over the fence at his elderly neighbors, informing them of the quest he was on. He got a few odd looks and the sparse, “Hope the going’s well boy!” as he started his mission. The garden itself was wet and mucky from the recent spring rain that’d happened one or two days ago.
Young Hero in his yellow rain boots began to peer around stones and little bushes in the garden to try and find what he hoped would become his forever friend. Well forever until the thing escaped or something of the sort. But time ticked by and Hero began to not only get annoyed at his lack of snake finding abilities but bored of staying on one task. Needless to say, Hero went and began to make mud patties. Usually he wasn’t allowed to, he’d thrown one at his sister after she’d called him some childish name. He’d gotten grounded for a week. As he thought, he came to the conclusion that he tended to get in trouble a lot. But that thought quickly left his mind as the mud patties he’d made began to stack up. Hero was sitting on the edge of his slightly raised patio, making the patties with the mud in front of him. To his right was the staircase leading up to the porch on the second floor. The staircase itself was made of wood, and currently, looked like a great thing to launch mud patties at.
So he did exactly that.
As Hero was throwing the mud patties at the underside of the stairway, he heard a little voice and the odd rasping sound of something small scooting through the gravel under the bottom of the stairway. Then out came the head of a simple, common, slightly muddied garden snake.
“Hey. Can’t you knock it off? I’m trying to enjoy this sun.” The snake yelled up at Hero from its low position to the ground.
Hero blinked, backtracked and tried to figure out how to explain himself but ended up just nodding. “Yeah. Okay.”
“Thank you,” The snake turned and began to slither away.
“Wait!” Hero jumped up, suddenly remembering why he’d come outside in the first place. “Can I make you my friend? I can take you inside and you can live in the empty fish bowl I have! I can give you Cheetos for dinner and lunch and break-”
“And no.” The snake responded. “I’m actually quite happy being out here.”
Just as Hero was about to complain to the snake’s retreating back, he heard the door open behind him. It was his dear old mother.
“HERO JONAS O’MALLY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!” He whirled around. She was standing there, hands on her hips, looking pretty mad. “Come inside this instant! Look what you did to those stairs!”
“But I was talking to a snake!” Hero protested.
“Hero….” His mother started, her eyes narrowing. She took a step out of the doorway, her pink fluffy bunny slippers meeting the damp wood of the patio. “Snakes do not talk. Get inside. Now.”
Without any more excuses, Hero followed his mother inside. From its spot on the gravel, the snake rolled its eyes and went back to sunbathing.
Character Backstory: Born on May 12 2013, Hero was welcomed into the world by his mother and father. His parents had gotten divorced soon after he’d turned three years old and his father had moved to South London. Hero rarely saw his actual father, only going to stay with him on weekends every two months. However, his parents stayed on good terms and his life wasn’t stressed due to their relationship. His mother remarried a few months after Hero turned five years old. His new step - father had two sons, Tristan and Jasper.
He lived the normal mundane muggle life for the most part. He went to public school, made friends, ate McDonalds and played video games. The birth of his half sister did change a few things. Hero, now the middle child, had less attention on him in his mother’s house. This was both a blessing and a curse. Hero could now get away with things, but it took a little to adjust to not being in the spotlight.
Now, Hero was always drawn to art, this passion was fueled by Tristan. His step - brother was studying to be an art teacher. They would spend hours laying the floor of Tristan’s study, drawing, reading comic books and watching old movies. Another passion that Hero had was biology. He was interested in how things had come to be. How did people evolve? How did some people look different from their parents? Now, this is where Hero’s real father came into play. His actual father was a biologist, and revelled in his child having the same passion as he did. Hero constantly visited museums with his father and played with the cat at his apartment.
Hero's first instance of magic happened when he was eight years old. While playing video games with his second older brother - Jasper. Hero was losing to his brother. His heightened emotions caused him to shatter the TV screen without moving. Hero ended up having to pay for the TV and got grounded afterward.

- Unfortunately, we can only fit one nationality in the nationality section of the profile card! Could you please let us know which one you would prefer to have listed?
- Please state specifically what race/talent you are wanting for paper trail purposes.
- Additionally, as the parselmouth ability is generally passed through wizarding genes, please note in your parselmouth application how Hero ended up with the gene despite being Muggle-born—was it a very distant magical ancestor? Something else?
STATUS: Pending - Koko, 25 February 2025
- Could you please specify whether Hero's Parselmouth grandfather was a wizard?
