Evasive Maneuvers (WC - 454/400) :

As Chiaki's third year at Mahoutokoro quickly approached, she had already gotten more involved with the school and its activities. Firstly, she'd managed to make her mark on the school's broom racing team, pushing her way forwards and making sure to further her abilities, especially when it came to ducking, weaving and dodging around objects as she pushed to fly at faster and faster speeds. Furthermore, she'd been working on bettering herself and abilities after the Hexwizard Tournament, realising just how out of her depth she had been when she had competed. Facing all of those older students had been absolutely terrifying, and she didn't enjoy feeling so unprepared.

Naturally stealthy and gifted with a feline-like ability to dodge and duck, it only took motivation and dedication for Chiaki to be able to improve her skills. On New Year, she made a promise to herself that by the end of the year, she would have worked on improving her abilities, especially when it came to dodging things, and that included people.

She'd use different exercises, employing her friends' help, such as having them throw pillows at her and have her dodge them, or tennis balls if she was on her broom. But that could only do so much. It wouldn't be the same as ducking branches or weaving through trees. So she made a schedule for herself, and pushed herself to stick to it. Every day, working on the smaller exercises, and twice a week, she would do a lap around the track. The repetition would help her, at least for now, with familiarising herself and allowing her prepare dodges and move out of the way, increasing her times as she shot around the racecourse.

At home during the holidays, she would also continue to work on this newfound talent that she was leaning into and continuously working to perfect. Slipping in and out, moving around things, she would work these exercises into her everyday routine, especially when she was just doing her standard chores. It allowed her to feel more accomplished as she worked on the menial tasks whilst her parents were out of the house.

Finally, she decided to test herself, to see if she was any closer to achieving her goal. She had her friends set up a course she could run through, setting a time in her head she wanted to complete it in. It began on the ground, to test her abilities normally, and then she would complete another on her broom, to make sure the abilities were evenly matched. Whilst her time wasn't as fast as she would've hoped, she had definitely improved, and her newly developed evasive skills were definitely something for her to be proud of.

Extracurricular: No change (staying as a broom racer)
Content Changes: Chiaki's parents will be separating, and if possible, she will go back and forth between living with her mother and father every fortnight or so when she isn't at school.

Calming Presence:
[reducio]With such a turbulent home life, Chiaki always longed for a sense of calm in her life, away from the shouts and yells of her seemingly always infuriated parents. Upon arriving at Mahoutokoro, she took it upon herself to never make anyone feel the way she did at home. Ever since she stepped foot in the school, knowing that she wouldn't be hearing her parents shouting and yelling, she felt instantly at ease.
When Chiaki started to make friends at Mahoutokoro, she portrayed a happy and bubbly, yet somewhat soothing or calming exterior so her brain would not stray to her parents' fighting. Each of Chiaki's friends reported that they instantly felt calmer when they were around her. Any anger or built up pressure beneath the surface of them was relieved when they would even be simply near her. This attracted many new friends to her. As she quickly befriended two Quidditch players and followed them around like a puppy to their practices, she would be reported to put the team at ease, epecially before a big match.
However, playing Quidditch was never much of Chiaki's interest. There was too much chaos, too many things happening at once. Broom racing was much more her style. There was only one clear objective, and that was to win. Even if that required a little bending of the rules. But before a race, they would never be so nervous as all the fliers that came before her would warn her about. Many would always around her before a race, trying to absorb some of the calm energy she released unknowingly. As soon as she would fly ahead, however, the calm they felt instantly begin to disappear.
However, it was only truly noticeable when Mahoutokoro was the host of a spectularly large fight between several students. Chiaki wasn't aware of the violence occuring in the grounds, so she observed through a window what all the fuss and bother was about. Instead, she was horrified by the brutal punches and kicks that were being thrown. However, as soon as she appeared in person, the fighting died down. Rage could still be seen in the fighters' eyes, but they were no longer fighting. And Chiaki had managed to stop it.
Everybody knew then that Chiaki's presence was... special. Something about the chaos and turbulence from her past meant that she was able to bring the sense of calm that was much needed by many students, and even some of the teachers on occasion.[/reducio]
Cat's Grace:
[reducio]Chiaki's ability to be stealthy came even before she was born. Her mother wasn't even aware she was pregnant with Chiaki until the second trimester, when she started showing symptoms. And then, even after birth, Chiaki had an innate ability to sneak around. She would regularly manage to escape the house when her parents were arguing, and arrive at her grandparents' via bus (that she had managed to sneak aboard). If her parents began to shout when she was in the room, she was easily able to sneak out (though due to the loud yelling it wasn't the most difficult).
After her grandparents' tragic passing in a car accident, Chiaki found that she was no longer able to escape to theirs when things became loud and violent at home. As a result, every time her parents fought for three weeks, she would climb from her bedroom window and run around her small seaside town, looking for a place to hide. And she managed to get pretty far several times. She could easily slip ino buildings or sites that she didn't realise she couldn't be in, and then be gone just as quickly before anybody noticed. Some of her favourite hiding spots were tucked away in overgrown corners of old or run down buildings that she had no business being in, but was also never caught in. There had been one occassion that she thought that she needed to run, but when the guards appraoched, somehow she managed to get away undetected. That was the closest she'd been to serious trouble, but it didn't stop her from returning to that spot.
This habit of sneaking about was just something that she couldn't shake when she arrived at Mahoutokoro. If noticed, people would comment how she skulked around like a cat in the background of almost every situation. Howeverhen she wasn't actively being her bubbly and cheerful self, she very easily blended into the background. Maybe it was because she was surprisingly short, or just wasn't the most noticeable when she wasn't speaking. This allowed her to get away with several midnight scrapes, especially when she would have her private midnight flying sessions with Hiro and Ayako and try to beat her own time of the fastest lap around the school on a broom. There was something soothing about the cold night air, and something thrilling about barely escaping serious trouble, whether it be at school or at the chaos which ought to be known as home.[/reducio]

History:
Reducio
Yuta Osaki was born on October 26, 2010, in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan. He has an older sister and a younger sister. His older sister, Momoka Osaki, is one year older than him. And his younger sister, Haruna Osaki, is five years younger than him. His father, Tatsuo Osaki, works for the Japan Ministry of Magic as an Auror, and his mother, Sayuri Osaki, is a Japanese musician. Yuta is a middle child, so he tends to help his younger sister, Haruna, and ask his older sister, Momoka for help. Yuta tends to help his mother with writing songs since he wants to become a singer like his mother.

Yuta gets along with Momoka and Haruna well. He never gets in trouble and he never gets them in trouble. He cares about his siblings as they care about him. Yuta's family is also rich, since their a pureblood family. Their family started in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan, and it's still in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan.

Yuta's whole family went to Mahoutokoro, and his sister Momoka is going to go a year before him. When Yuta's in his sixth year, and Momoka's in her seventh year, Haruna is going to come to Mahoutokoro as well.

Yuta got his first instance of magic at the age of 7. He was in his room, writing some lyrics for a song when he heard his father calling him. He went downstairs and went out to the backyard. He then noticed a piece of wood. Yuta's glad he's wearing his uniform. He knew exactly what to do. Yuta got ready and Karate chopped the board. He noticed that it was cut in half. He then decided to try to do a flying kick. While in the air, he almost fell, his father tried to catch him, but before he landed on either the ground or in his father's arms. He was already on the ground and standing. He looked around and was confused until his father told him that he had just gotten his first instance of magic, which made Yuta very happy. So, he ran inside and told his sisters and mother all about it. His little sister, Haruna, had no idea why everyone was happy since she was only 2.

Yuta doesn't only like writing music, but he also likes fighting and martial arts, since he knows that if his wand is taken away from him, he'll need a way to defend himself from others without magic, so that's why he's learning martial arts from his father. His father was going to put him into martial arts school, but Yuta told him that he wanted to learn from his father.

At the age of five, Yuta's father started teaching Yuta martial arts. At first, Yuta wasn't getting the hang of it, so his father would stop and teach him how to do it, slowly. He'd also fix Yuta's arms, and give him some techniques he could use to get the hang of what he's doing. Over the years of training, Yuta got the hang of martial arts. Yuta wanted to try the flying kick. So, when he turned seven, he decided to try it. After he successfully broke the wooden board his father set up for him, Yuta tried to do the flying kick. He failed at it but was able to get his first instance of magic.

Yuta continued to try and do the flying kick since he didn't want to give up at all, he only gave up when he was 10. When he turned 10, he decided to try and master the flying kick when he became older. His father continued to teach him other kicks and punches, which he was able to be successful at. When his father finally let him do the flying kick again, Yuta was very happy.

Yuta's father would give him many techniques that'll hopefully help Yuta master the flying kick. Yuta decided to stop trying to master the flying kick since he had almost broken his right foot. He decided to master the flying kick later. He knew that he'd be able to master the kick when he was older. When Yuta found out that his friends were also trying to learn the flying kick, he'd invite them over and they'd all try to master the kick together.

After a while of practicing, Yuta had finally mastered the kick. He and his friends were very happy since they had all mastered it together. Yuta had to use his martial arts which he learned from his father while walking back home from hanging out with his friends, since they all decided to celebrate. Even though they went to the closest park to Yuta's house, and Yuta left an hour after going to the park, he still ran into a group of guys that wouldn't let him go.

Yuta didn't do anything at first, but when one of the guys tried to punch him, he kicked him and when the others try to punch/kick him, he used what he learned and was able to return home safely without getting hurt, but hurting a group of guys that were about to beat up Yuta since they thought he was weak. When he returned home, he decided to tell his family. His parents were concerned about him, but also happy that he didn't get hurt and was returned safely.

From an early age, Hiro had always been quite agile on his feet and possessed instincts that allowed him to evade things that were going to physically hurt him. Even though he might have been fearless around most people, he still had a sense of danger and possessed survival instincts. If it was just something like a flick on the forehead or a nudge, he'd allow it to happen. But if it seemed as if it would leave some lasting damage, or worse, Hiro's body would instinctively avoid, evade or dodge it. This was not intentional on his part, it was just something he considered to be a natural instinct of his. It also came in handy when he bothered people, trying to get them to become his friends. They might lash out or 'attack' him. Obviously, he'd try and avoid them. Most of the time he was successful due to his great reflexes.

Hiro's interest in flying had taken form back then too. He'd ended up finding out that he was actually pretty good at it when one of his friends had let him take their broom for a spin. Maybe because of these two things (his reflexes and being good at flying), he'd been drawn to quidditch in the first place. Sure, he'd never played for a professional league before, but that was to be expected as he'd been a child at the time. A young one at that, as it had been before he was considered to be a first year at Mahoutokoro. But the moment he'd stepped foot onto the quidditch pitch and risen up into the air, he'd known this was his destiny. During the tryout he'd been able to evade his opponents almost every time they came at him. Somehow, he seemed to always manage to dodge at just the right moment before something or someone came close to hitting him. Many marveled at this skill or luck of his, as it happened more often for him than it did for everyone else. He even managed to evade 9/10 of the practice bludgers that were hit towards him by his opponents. Apparently, it was something that was rarely able to be done by quidditch players when they first started out. But Hiro seemed to have no trouble doing so, which impressed the ones in charge.

After finding out that his evasion skills were actually better than most people, nothing really changed for him. Many might have tried to take advantage of this skill and use it for ulterior purposes. But Hiro continued to go about his daily life, trying to make friends everywhere he went and only used his evasion skills for simple purposes. Such as avoiding any 'attacks' sent his way and applying his skills in quidditch, whenever he could find enough people to play it with him. One thing was for sure though, Hiro was glad he had such skills because they definitely came in handy in both quidditch and going after people who seemed as if they didn't want to be friends or talk to anyone. But Hiro knew better. Most of the time he was able to convince people to become friends with him. It was just that sometimes it took longer for some people than with others. He'd never really lost any of his 'targets' before and never intended on doing so. If he had to increase his evasion skills to continue his success rate, that was what he would do.

Year 1: Evasive Maneuvers
Reducio
Very nimble, you are harder to hit than average. Perhaps you even have a tingling sensation when danger is near. Whatever the case, you seem to get out of the way just in the nick of time more than everyone else.
Aryaan was a lot of things, but no one could accuse him of being stupid. Well, they could, but they’d find themselves in the wrong end of a pranking war.
With strict parents, one had to develop a keen sense of how to get out of trouble and stay there. Aryaan, of course, had to go and find a way to take this principle and dial it all the way up.
You could call it skill, or you could call it luck. Aryaan himself has a difficult time describing what it is that he does. Whatever it is, the 11-year-old has a penchant for knowing when and where there would be trouble, and then simply not being there. So keen was his ability that he has started to develop a bit of a reputation amongst those that know him: whenever the boy was nowhere to be found, surely one of his pranks had likely been found out and some adult would come along in search of the wayward troublemaker.
This skill of his did not limit itself to just his troublemaking antics but translated well into sports. When playing dodgeball in particular, bystanders could see the South Asian boy standing stock still, eyeing other players; his face screwed up with a look of intense concentration. Then, he would abruptly burst into motion, barely moving out of the way of some live ball; or catching another one. It was a nifty little trick, uncanny in its reliability but ultimately unremarkable. It would make him interesting to watch, but not a prodigy. Not someone who would stand out from the crowd.
But then, he started playing Quidditch and it all just clicked.
Suddenly, his sense of knowing where to move was just a curiosity, but a critical aspect of his play. He could zig-zag through Chaser formations without sacrificing his speed but disrupting their flight. He could zip around the pitch, Seeking the Snitch; dipping and dodging Bludgers and frustrating Beaters with almost laughable ease. He could sneak the Quaffle from a teammate and make a break for it without being tailed immediately.
People called his flying reckless, or short-sighted. People thought he’d get himself killed with his rash, erratic movements. People just did not understand. People could not see the way he saw, could not understand the way he understood.
Aryaan knew what he was doing, no matter what the opinion of those watching him.
When he was on a broom and in the air, he was King. He was Untouchable.

Year 2: Fearless
Reducio
You do not scare easily. In fact they might even call you fearless.
You could say that it was adrenaline. A supreme lack of self-awareness. Being too lost in the moment, maybe? Or was it really bravery that motivated Aryaan’s actions? Regardless of what exactly was the motivation behind his actions, the end result was much the same: a complete and utter lack of distress in doing things others would baulk at.
Aryaan Shamsi, was a self-proclaimed troublemaker and a defier of rules. Norms, expectations, directions? Ha! He did what he wanted, and to hell with the consequences. Until they caught up to him, anyway. It took guts to be so flagrant about the rules and norms, to thumb your nose at everybody’s expectations of you.
Even on a more personal level, though, Aryaan was no slouch. Take for example the events of this very year, when Mahoutokoro showed up at Hogwarts. One of the Mahoutokoro upperclassmen, a certain Kohana Sara*, had a terrifying presence. An aura that made the more sensible and responsible kids avoid him, thinking that he gave off yakiuza vibes. And that was the rational thing to do.
Not Aryaan though.
Where others saw a large and scary upperclassman, Aryaan just saw another kid who wasn’t surrounded by people. Where others felt it best to keep their head down, stay polite and keep a safe distance; Aryaan felt it best to joke and laugh and jump into the centre of things, consequences be damned.
Clearly, Aryaan was no coward. Nor was his flagrant disregard for his own safety an isolated incident.
A second event where his recklessness complete lack of aversion to danger manifested itself was when he crept out after hours during Halloween for what was to be “an illegal duelling club”. And this, despite the fact that he was one of the least accomplished casters**, and likely to be facing off against a myriad of more accomplished casters and duelists. It did not turn out that way, but he had no idea of knowing that back when he had decided to creep out of his rooms, alone and without telling anyine, off to face the unknown.
Of course, none of this counts out the fact that he’s the youngest Hexwizard champion with the youngest team; facing down much older and more experienced people. And far from being afraid, the biggest thing Aryaan sees is an opportunity. An opportunity to show everyone what he and his friends can do.
As he might say. “Scared? Let the others be scared and afraid. It just doesn’t fit my vibe.”

Year 3: Muggle Condition
Reducio
You are a child of two worlds. What you may lack in the magical world, you make up with experience in the muggle world. Even the strongest of wizards may be caught off guard with your clever use of muggle items. Don't have those? Your fists work in a pinch.
Growing up, Aryaan Shamsi found himself caught in a constant tug-of-war between his various identities. The collision creating a sense of displacement, leaving him without a clear sense of roots or heritage. He struggled to fully identify with either the Muggle or Wizarding world, unable to find a place where he truly belonged.

The perpetual limbo Aryaan experienced shaped his outlook on life. Rather than giving in to confusion and despair, he embraced a philosophy of exploration and exposure. He actively sought to understand the world around him, rejecting opinions of "older and wiser" people that he found judgmental or close-minded. Aryaan yearned for a broader understanding of the diverse perspectives and experiences that exist beyond the boundaries of traditional expectations.

Aryaan's extroverted nature served as a reflection of his internal struggles. Wrestling with questions of identity, he wondered who he truly was and who he should strive to be. Was he just some carefree kid, meant to enjoy his limited time as a child without worrying about expectations and societal norms? Was he a Pink Robe at Mahoutokoro, deemed to be worthless because he refused to maintain the academic grades of his peers? Was he a foreigner in Japan, lacking poise and cultural depth? Or was he the son of a respected diplomat, expected to behave according to his station? Amidst these conflicting identities, Aryaan's loud and outgoing demeanor acted as a shield, concealing the uncertainties and battles he faced within himself. By standing out in the generally calm and collected Japanese crowd, he sought to assert his individuality and carve out a space for himself in a world that often felt alienating.

Aryaan's exposure to diverse cultures and his history of mingling with different communities had a profound impact on his thought process. Drawing inspiration from his own experiences, he developed an unconventional approach to thinking. When faced with a shortage of players for a proper game of Quidditch, he introduced Airball, a handball-like game played with brooms. Unable to navigate a wizarding negotiation, he resorted to the muggle way—bribing with food—to achieve the desired outcome. And when confronted with a rival who outmatched him in casting magic, Aryaan dealt with it the old fashioned way -- getting the jump on his opponent (literally!)

By blending his muggle and magical experiences and merging his exposure to multiple countries and cultures, Aryaan has ended up with a surprisingly broad set of skills and a versatile mindset. His ability to draw from a wide range of influences allowed him to approach challenges from different angles, finding unconventional approaches to typical problems. The combination of his diverse background and open-mindedness gives him an edge over those who were confined by singular perspectives.

Kanae and her cousins were opening gifts. "Hahaha! I can open these presents faster than you!" her cousin named Edmund said to his sister that was Kanae's age. "Nope I have already opened 3 while you're on your 2nd one," his sister named Ara said. Kanae chuckled at her cousins bicker a bit. Everyone was having a good time until Kazumi pushed over the Christmas tree! The tree was about to fall on Kanae until it just stopped and was put back in its original position. Haruka Hayashi
(林春花)

Second year, Mahoutokoro
Status. Pureblood
Appearance. At 165cm, Haruka is easily one of the taller students in her year. She has long black hair with bangs at the front, a round (but not chubby) face, and oval-shaped brown eyes. Haruka has a rather simple but fashionable style.
Personality.
Reducio
Being an ISTJ, Haruka is mostly found composed, independant, decisive, and practical. She has a great respect for culture and ettiquite, and is very observant to the things around her. However, she can also be overly competitive and honest, stubborn, and quick to blame people, whether it is herself or others. Haruka believes in speaking the truth, no matter how harsh it may be, which leads to people thinking she is insensitive. She prefers to spend her time with a very close group of friends, and it doesn't matter much to her if she is popular or not; to Haruka, what matters most is getting results from the effort she puts into her work. Although Haruka is usually quiet and calm, if someone offends her or insults, her, she will lash out and end up doing things that could get her in trouble. To rivals and enemies, she is passive agressive, sarcastic, and cold.
History.
Reducio
Haruka was born and raised in Osaka as the only child of pureblood Misaki and Kei Hayashi. Her parents had both went to Mahoutokoro as children, and that was what they planned for Haruka as well. When she was at a proper age to do so, her parents held her to a rigorous schedule; she studied foreign languages (English, Chinese, and a little bit of Korean), figure skating, karate, and piano. Haruka went to a private elementary school, where other children of wizards and witches went to study. Because she was often busy with her schoolwork and extracurriculars, she didn't have much time to join the other kids in playing or socializing, and was often compared to a lone wolf with no pack. Although it was lonely sometimes, she was often glad she didn't have anything to do with the complicated drama going on with the others. During her elementary years, Haruka made a few good friends at school, all with the same interests and values. Although she is sometimes awkward and stiff in the company of new people, she usually warms up and lets down her guard with close friends.
Haruka's first instance of magic earned her a rival.
She was simply minding her own business, doing work in a classroom during recess time. Suddenly, the door opened, and the schools most quote unquote 'popular' girl, Hikari, walked in. Haruka rolled her eyes and turned her focus back to her paper. If she didn't bother them, they wouldn't bother her.
"There's the lone wolf again," Hikari said. "Hey, Ruka, don't you ever get tired of sitting in the corner and not talking?"
"No, Hikari." No one ever called her Ruka, and anyone who tried would get a kick in the face.
"Is that so? You could have some fun with us, you know. We think you're kinda cool. Look at your grades, they're almost as good as mine. It's hard to find someone like that."
That was not true, not in the slightest. If Hikari was getting 7/10's, Haruka was getting full points.
"Check your gradebook before you talk, Hikari," she responded flatly, not looking up.
"I don't like this attitude," Hikari observed. "Don't talk to me like that, Ruka~"
Hikari's entitled voice was pissing Haruka off a lot, especially because of the nicknames. She stood up.
"What do you want, Hikari?" Hikari and Haruka were around the same height, so it was rather easy to stare her directly in the eyes.
"Admit you're dumb."
Thinking back, it was a petty little conflict over who was more smart. What was the worst two ten-year-olds could do? But for past-Haruka, it was her dignity and her pride. And for past-Hikari, it was also her dignity and pride.
"No," she said simply. "But I think, if we just... she walked over to the teachers desk and rummaged for a moment. I think your gradebook can prove I'm better. Come on, who even taught you maths? Your mother?" She flipped to a page. Hikari's test paper, completely marked in red X's, was stapled onto it. Attached to the top was a note that read, very poor. come see me after class.
She knew she had hit a weak spot. That very day, after the results had come out, Hikari had taken one look at the paper and fled. Plus the insulting her mother part. In Haruka's defense, it was true. Hikari's mother... was not the brightest.
In a split second, the other girl's fist flew at her face at alarming speed. She had forgotten Hikari also took martial arts. It was as if time had slowed down. Haruka noticed the decorative ring on her index finger, and realized one hit from that could probably leave a cut and a bruise on her face. Without thinking, she held up her hand to sheild herself, and braced for impact.
But nothing came. Then a scream broke the silence. Blood dripped down Hikari's hand at the places where her own hand would have bled. It was as if, for a second, the ring had flew to Haruka's hand, and cut its owner instead.
Both girls got into trouble after that, and both refused to talk ever again, but what was most important was that Haruka had gotten her first instance of magic and could go to Mahoutokoro after graduation from her elementary school.

Reducio
Looks had never been important for Haruka. Don't get her wrong, it's not that she's completely careless about her looks, but it had never been number one deciding factor for her.
It all started with her being too busy to care about looks of others. She would hurry down the hall at her school, not sparing a glance for whoever was the hot item this week. She didn't know, anyways.
"Haruka!" Her friend Ayako called to her. "Did you see that?" she asked excitedly. "Asahi just winked at me!!"
"Hmm?" Haruka looked to her friend. "Who?"
"Didn't you see?" Ayako stopped and whirled around, leaning closer to whisper. "That guy. Isn't he so cool?"
Haruka didn't see what was 'cool' about the boy. Asahi was just the regular Japanese half-blood student, and she didn't see why so many girls always mooned over him. His grades were average, and he wasn't even on any sports teams to make up for it.
"Oh.. I guess so? You like him?"
"Oh, yes. Do you think he notices me?"
Haruka furrowed her brow. So this was a... crush?
"Why do you like him?" she decided to ask, not answering her question.
"Hello? Aren't you blind? He looks like a movie star!" Ayako looked at Haruka as if she was crazy. "Who wouldn't like him? Oh! He's walking our way, quick, look unsuspicious!"
Haruka, already facing the opposite way, couldn't help but smother a giggle at Ayako's shallowness. Why would someone like another just because of their looks? She had known plenty of people who looked good but were completely the opposite inside.
It had also been part of her upbringing, in a way. Haruka had learnt many things about the magical and muggle world, and the fact that poisonous things had the brightest and prettiest colors intruiged her. She figured it was like this 'universal principle' that good-looking didn't necessarily mean good, and she stuck hard to this belief when she got into the age where everyone was getting crushes, which earned her a few side eyes and funny looks when she treated so-and-so indiferently.
It was as if Haruka was blind to looks, in a way. What she noticed first about a person wasn't their fashion sense, height, or any of that sort. Instead, it was more of their quirks, the way they held themselves, and their small habits that she seemed to notice and observe.

Statistical Relevance for Arcane Power (Y2) (540/400)
Reducio
From a very young age, Haruka had been trained in sports that had required both power and grace.
Take figure skating, for example. The double axel was her favorite jump by far, even though it was unpopular with most people at her rink, since they weren't used to the foreward takeoff. And to be honest, it was hard. Haruka's coach had told her that it required a lot of guts, strength, and elegance to pull off the jump well, and she was determined to make it happen, which it did, in time. When taking her skating exam for that level, all of the judges grading her had commented on how strong but elegant her double axel was.
It was the same with karate; she had learnt how to make very hard and strong moves seem flowing and effortless through hours of training, and she entered Mahoutokoro with the same intent: to learn very hard spells and perform them as if it were nothing.
Quickly, she found that it wasn't as easy as she thought. Too much energy towards a spell could make it go wrong or off target. Haruka, who usually prided herself on her accuracy and precision, found that the bit of magical wood she called her wand was actually very hard to control, and much of her concentration's sole purpose was to make her spell actually hit.
Once they did, however, the target rarely sufferered any damaged, or significantly less than if another person's spell had hit them. At the end, Haruka narrowed it down to a simple problem (her arcane power was insufficient) through some testing.
She took one of her favorite spells, flipendo, a friend with similar grades, and a practice dummy.
"Please cast flipendo at this dummy," she instructed. "As hard as you can."
"Uh.... okay? Flipendo!"" The spell shot forwards with considerable speed, and immediately knocked the dummy back a few good meters upon contact with its shoulder.
"And may I ask how you do that? How you made it so powerful, I mean." Haruka asked after the dummy had fallen to the ground with a muted thump. She waa curious to see how her classmate had done it.
"I just try to keep my movements more controlled so that all my energy is more concentrated. But you also can't be too stiff, you know what I mean?"
"Aahhh, I see," Haruka said, even though she didn't. "Thank you for your help! I'll see you around sometime." She smiled warmly and once her classmate had left, she started practicing according to her advice. She tried to figure out her own ways of improving her power while keeping everything else: the accuracy and grace of the overal movement. She saw her final goal as being able to treat spellcasting like a dance; graceful and poised. Once Haruka was fixtated on something, it was hard to convince her to do anything else.
Soon, she began to see results from the long hours of solitary practicing. She could shoot her spells farther, and with more speed and force. It was satisfying, in a way, to realize that she could actually control her magic, to use it for herself, in a way that was both artistic and practical.

APPEARANCE
Reducio
Miharu is a girl with fair skin, perhaps a bit paler than usual for she mostly spends her time inside their home unless she is practicing for broom riding, has long black hair that she would often wear down and at times, worn in a ponytail and a pair of black colored eyes.
⭑~~~~⭑
PERSONALITY
Reducio
As a sheltered child who only knows studying and broom riding at a young age, Miharu rarely has enough time for fun activities, making her rather serious. One could describe that she always has that bored look in her black eyes that almost look like they are glaring, making it difficult for anyone to approach her. She rarely smiles which makes it worthwhile if someone manages to get into her good side. Haru is also quiet and could be seen as a loner. While she does longed for friendship, she had grown used to being alone most of the time so that it doesn't bother her anymore or just with her sibling.

She's described as somewhat scary when she is serious or angry for her piercing glare and often holds a grudge on anyone who had wronged her. Haru avoids any conflicts, finding them troublesome. She won't start any fight but she will finish it.

She has a sharp tongue and would often look down on others that are not from pureblood families, a habit that she hates, especially when she started attending Mahoutokoro, finding other people, no matter what their blood status is, interesting. She immediately feels guilt whenever she speaks ill of someone or makes any disrespectful remark about them as she is trying to move away from the view that her parents had engraved on her since she was young, always finding herself apologizing, something that she doesn't want her parents finding out.
⭑~~~~⭑
HISTORY
Reducio
Miharu or Haru is raised within the manor of the Goto Family, an old pureblood wizarding family with known status in Kyoto, Japan. They are purists to the core, finding associating with people other than pureblood as a waste of time and energy and a disgrace to the family's name. Not only that, but they are known for their strictness, their desire to be on top no matter what it takes, even if it means stepping on people and failure isn't an option.

Haru is raised by both her parents. Goto Haruto, a well-known wizard from the Goto Family, is strict in his beliefs of purism and the one responsible for most of Haru's education before she began to attend Mahoutokoro. He engraved in her the views of their family where purebloods are supreme and those below them deserve only minimal respect and must strictly avoid associating with them. Goto Tokiwa (Koizumi Tokiwa before marriage), Haru's mother and an excellent Quidditch Player, helped in teaching Haru about Quidditch and riding a broom. Much like Haruto, she follows their purists' views and is just as strict as him when it comes to teaching. Her vision is to turn Haru into an excellent Quidditch player like herself to follow her footsteps. Haru's parents met in Kyoto where Haruto encountered Koizumi Tokiwa, a witch from the well-known pureblood family of Koizumi and sister of Kane Koizumi Vickers, making Haru and Naoki cousins.

Haru had followed what her parents wanted her to do in most of her childhood, spending most of it studying and practicing in the Goto Manor. She rarely does anything fun, finding those unnecessary although deep inside, she does want to experience a normal childhood but is just afraid of disappointing her parents.

Her first instance of accidental magic happened when she was around 6 years old. She was spending her time reading in their family's manor library when her cousins decided to play and run around. The more they made noises, the more she got annoyed at them. When they pulled the book that she was reading away from her, her anger reached its peak. In response to that anger, books began to fly off of their shelves, causing a commotion. Her father was home at the time, scolded her cousin for messing around in the library. He didn't make any remarks on Haru's magic for it'd be more surprising if she didn't show any sign of it.

Her education within the manor continued until she had received an invitation for Mahoutokoro's day class. Her parents decided to let her attend in order to learn more about magic and school settings are a good way to do so. Haru had a hard time in classes, not in terms of academics and magic but rather on the social aspect because of her habits that had developed due to how she was raised by her parents. She tends to throw insulting remarks without knowing it to people, especially once she knows of someone's blood status, something that she would regret later on and would feel a striking guilt. While her parents would be proud of her, she isn't. People are interesting no matter what their blood status are, even the non-magical folks and she had decided to change herself for the better even though her parents might be disappointed of her. It's a challenge that she's willing to take.

Miharu, despite not looking like it, is quite nimble and athletic. How? One might ask for this girl mostly spends her time within the library of the Goto Manor doing self-studies and reading, barely leaving the room unless it was necessary. She was never seen playing with other children, namely her cousins who are always seen running around. Miharu's type of fun is staying inside with a book in hand or in some rare times, looking out the window and watching whatever unfolds before her.

Perhaps it was because of her mother. She was known as an athletic woman during her time in school and even made it as part of her school's Quidditch team as a chaser. Well, it could be a factor but it was actually the fact that her mother had been trying to get her to follow her footsteps as a Quidditch player. At a young age, Haru was exposed to the said sport, often watching with her mother and father when a Quidditch match is up. While her father was interested in it, her mother was obsessed with it. It was what pushed her mother to try and get Haru into the sports and it was successful.

Haru didn't like Quidditch at first because her mother had simply forced it on her. Then again, they are a pureblood family and for some reason, broom riding is a must in their family. They do try to excel in a lot of things and Quidditch and broom riding aren't an exception. She insisted on teaching her and Haru eventually agreed. She was so bad at it at first, often falling off and barely moving but after a couple of tries, she was getting the hang of it and, as much as she doesn't want to admit it, despite being forced on her, Haru started liking broom riding. At that time, she had thought that maybe, she could give Quidditch a try. Her agility should be able to help her with that.

Under her mother's supervision, Haru continued her broom riding training. First off, simple movements, getting used to the speed and swerving left or right and then she moved in to evasive maneuvers once she had expressed her desire to try the sports once she is able to. While she focuses mostly on her flying in a broom, she trains her reaction time on land in a dodgeball game that her mother had introduced to her, finding it useful if she wanted to work on some evasive maneuvers. All she has to do then is apply it in broom riding. Before she even knew it, her movements and reaction had grown a lot thanks to those simple exercises and that had just made her mother proud, telling her that she could become a great Quidditch player.
Evasive Maneuvers II | WC: 485/400
Reducio
Days after days, Miharu never stopped her practices as she didn't want her skill getting dull by lack of exercises. Not to mention, her parents seem to have approved of her training even if they aren't there to supervise her. She is still keen on trying out Quidditch and once she gets into the team, she wants to be prepared for it, to be in excellent shape. After all, she is striving to be one of the best players that they'll have or else, her parents might be disappointed at her.

At school, she would continue to train herself in flying class, especially when she has some free time. She could always be seen with a broom which is quite surprising for those who don't know her that well for most of the time, she is seen as a bookworm who always has her nose stuck between the pages of the books. Who would've thought that she was that athletic and interested in broom riding and Quidditch. It was even more surprising if one would see her in action.

Her early education on broom riding had helped her a lot, giving her an advantage that made her excel in class. Flying a broom had become a second nature to her as shown with her impressive maneuvers in the air. She could do quick turns, avoid obstacles that may come her way to the point that some might say she is trying to show off when in reality, she wasn't. For others, her skills were already at the top but for Haru, it wasn't enough.

She wants to be able to move in the air with ease, develop her reaction time some more to the point that it'd be hard for people to hit her or catch her. Quidditch is a rough game and she is going for a position that people might target quite a lot, a seeker. She had seen some games where the seekers had been targeted by beaters with their bludgers. With no seeker on the other team, the golden snitch is as good as theirs. She wants to prevent that from happening and if she wants to stay in the air for a long time while still getting attacked, then she needs more skills in dodging, maybe becoming untouchable while in the air.

While it is quite an impossible feat to achieve, it is a great goal to strive. She might not be untouchable, but she would still be harder to target. Haru continues to work on her broom maneuvers as well as getting used to the speed of her broom. The faster she goes, the harder it is for anyone to hit her but she needs to keep herself steady in the air with great control, thus, the daily training in broom handling under her mother's supervision which proves to be a great help in achieving her goal as a great Quidditch player.

Akihiko was a very lovable person. He seemed to always be looking to put you in your comfort zone. Whether it was by telling a witty joke or giving you a playful shove, he was always looking out for you. Even as a child he seemed to be charming. He was the center of attention in his family, and was a tad bit spoiled. From an early age he was making people laugh by doing funny things.

Once, when he was five he was with his grandparents. They were watching him and his cousin for the weekend and they were playing outside. Akihiko and Botan were playing in the mud, trying to make the best pie. Per usual, Akihiko made a beautiful mud pie out of mud and rocks. Botan was busy making a mud pie out of mud and worms, and you could see in his grandparents eyes whose pie they liked. When time came to present their mud pies to their grandparents, neither boy would be satisfied with a ‘they’re both great’. His grandparents looked at each other nervously. “I like BoBo’s the best!” Akihiko announced with a grin. His grandparents looked at each other gratefully. “That settles it. Botan is the winner!” Akihiko winked at his grandparents.

Part of the reason Akihiko was so successful was because he was so charming. He was always making his teachers laugh, and they all said the same thing. “What a charming boy! Don’t tell the other students, but he’s my favorite.”. Akihiko didn’t want to be the best, or the favorite. The only problem was that he couldn’t turn off his charm. There were certain things that would pop in his head, and he would just say them. He wasn’t even trying to be funny, but everyone would laugh.

Akihiko wished that he could be like his cousin, who was popular among their age. When Akihiko tried to talk to the boys his age they would run away shouting’ “Look! It’s Akihiko, golden boy!”. Akihiko never had the chance to actually speak to them, charm them. But finally the opportunity arose. He was sitting on the side of the road eating a slice of melon when the pack of them ran by. Seeing an opportunity, he joined the chase. He gained to the front and found that they were chasing after a defenseless old man riding a bike. “Bikes are for kids, old man!” They yelled. Akihiko managed to make it to the front of the group. “Stop!” He shouted, skidding to a stop in front of them. “What has this man ever done to you?” He glanced at the man who was looking at him affectionately. “Leave him alone,” he shouted, and with that they scattered. The old man climbed off his bike and shook his hand. “You will make a fine man one day. Let me meet your parents and tell them of your respect for an old man like me,” he chuckled, and I was left with no choice but to take him back to my house. “What is your name?” He asked. “Akihiko,” I replied. “Akihiko, what a beautiful name.” I led him back home and he told my family the entire story. Before he left he told them, “you have a charming boy,” and to me he said, “I hope to meet you again soon, Akihiko-san.”. That was the first time I realized I didn’t need to be ashamed of my talent, but I should use it for good as often as possible.
Keen Eye

Reducio
Akihiko had always had a keen eye. His house was always bristling with activity, and it was easy for things to go missed. With such a large family, about 20 people in total, it was easy to cover up something, or blame it on another. Akihiko was quick to notice these things, having grown up his entire life in this environment. Some in the family have said that it was a talent he was born with, but it was in fact not. He had spent many years as a quiet and obedient kid, and with his quiet came a keen sense. Years went into him taking notice of his surroundings, so much that his family was shocked when he would point out obscure details about the going-ons in the household.

Akihiko often noticed thing like his parents hushed conversations, or his cousins mischievous expression from behind a book. It came in handy in several occasions, and helped him prevent some of his cousins pranks, although as his cousin got older it was harder to distinguish impending mischief from the usual expression. Whenever Akihiko thought if his keen eye, two occasions came to his mind. The first, a simple interaction from his parents that he soon found out was bigger than it had first seemed. It had happened a week before his 7th birthday, and the two had been having a seemingly normal conversation. However, Akihiko had been sitting nearby and had quickly noticed the glances at him that seemed to keep coming. He had neared it for a few minutes, but became impatient and demanded they tell him what was the cause of this disturbance in his schoolwork. They had revealed, however hesitant, that they were taking him on a trip for his birthday, and that they had wanted it to be a surprise. The second occasion that came to his mind was one of his cousins pranks. These pranks came often, but on this particular occasion it was a bit more sinister than the rest. A plot to fill his sheets with itching powder, and leave Akihiko with a rash for days. This prank was only a little bit deserved, as Akihiko had received better marks than his cousin. Akihiko had noticed his cousin giving him furtive glances and trying to enter his room on two occasions. Akihiko told his aunt and uncle, who suspended the prank immediately, which Botan got in trouble for. His keen eye had proved to be both good and bad.

This was often helpful to Akihiko. He was the one to go to for information, and he knew all the ins and outs of the house. Along with being helpful to himself, the household soon came to know him as the one to go to. On more than several occasions, he was asked if he had noticed anything fishy. Sometimes he had, sometimes he hadn’t, but on the majority of occasions he was correct in his thinking.

Akihiko wasn’t just quick to notice things in his home. The things of his schoolmates always caught his attention as well. He noticed the trouble makers who slipped things in their pockets, and the ones who looked disappointed at the results of their papers. He could pinpoint who was going to pull which prank with uncanny accuracy, all because of his keen eye. He would never rat out another classmate, though.

A keen eye was a helpful talent for many things. Akihiko used it often, and it came in handy more times than one. He was grateful to have such a skill to use.

[reducio]Akihiko was a very lovable person.

Once upon a time, Quidditch was simple to the young boy. Just a brutal bloodbath people surprisingly enjoyed. But now, as a 5th year, he knew better. He knew that there were worse things to participate in. The Hexwizard’s 1st task for example. The lingering scent of iron, the pounding in his ears, the tears he shed was still a prominent memory to him. Memorable, and yet he was still unsure in what way. Good or bad? Maybe it was more accurate to describe it as somewhere in between.

Thankfully, the boy was quite fond of focusing more on the good when he could help himself. The same optimism had made Quidditch a topic that was far more complex. No longer would the time turn slow during practice, for it was slower during the hexwizard task. No longer would be rigid with worry, for he knew what would happen to his teammates if he was slow to react. In some odd way, the horrors of the tournament had made the game more tolerable for him. Before, he couldn’t wait to get out of it. Now though, the only main objective in his mind was to end the game. And fast. The faster it ended, the less his teammates needed to spend their precious hours healing in the hospital wing.

Stumbling onto this ‘rebound’ method was by complete chance and luck. While mindlessly reading up on past quidditch matches, there was a particular skill that caught his eye. One where a player evades a bludger and still has the reflex to squash it back to an unsuspecting target. The thought of it made his stomach hurl. And yet… that was an interesting way to end the game quickly.

It was like this skill was made to enhance his already known capabilities. Even for a big guy like him, he was delightfully agile on his feet as well as on his broom. His history of being quite athletic didn’t make the task harder, at least. With just the right tilt, a certain angle, a sharp eye, and a lot of mistakes in the beginning, he adapted to the new skill.

It was not a certainty that he would always be able to use this skill. While his strong feelings about Quidditch had mellowed down, his usual worries would always manage to crept into his mind. What if I hit too hard? What if I had to hit a friend? What if I’m just not cut out for this? But since the Hexwizard, a stir had changed within the young boy. The small, but growing desperation to end the game rests in him. During the chance that that desperation becomes louder than his worries, it would be the time his Rebound skill would come into play.

Terrible Presence
Reducio
When his parents show off Sara’s baby photos, a viewer's usual reaction is to ask if he was adopted. Well, sure he had a rather intimidating look about him, with his short hair, piercing stare, and clothing style. But underneath that rough exterior, anyone who knew him personally could see what a gentle softie he was. If it was not a blank intimidating stare he was wearing, it was an awkward grin. Rarely had anyone seen him truly angry. His parents had to explain 99% of the time why Sara as a younger child looked like he was planning world domination.

In Japanese, Kohana could be translated to Little Flower. Sara was given his name to suit such a flowery-themed name. In kanji, his name directly translates to Blossom Little Flower. It was a lovely idea! With two flower-obsessed parents, they had dreamed of Sara growing up as they did. With unconditional love for flowers. Perhaps even passionate enough to take over their flower shop. Unfortunately, that dream and expectation of theirs would never come true.

It was not as bad as a baby and toddler. He and his parents lived in a cosy modest room above their flower shop. Despite living right above a pollen-infested danger room, his parents had gone through dedicated methods to completely separate their house from their flower shop. In that house, the theme was minimalistic. Thinking they had seen enough flowers in the shop, the house was devoid of such monstrosities. This is why it came as a surprise to them when Sara, who had been confined to the safe quarters of their home, had a massive sneezing allergy to pollen.

The Great Discovery was found out when he was 8. While Sara had gone in and out of the flower shop to either go outside or play with cats, he never had to stay in there for long hours. Even before the Great Discovery, Sara had always felt an awful feeling towards flowers. He had to suffer a few sneezes and whatnot whenever he passed those dreaded plants, but after a few breaths of fresh air, he felt better. For the longest time, he thought it was just the cold weather, which was fitting for him as he would sneeze when he was too cold as well.

That all changed when his parents wanted to teach him how to run the flower shop. Every Saturday, he was to sit in the flower shop and observe the work, needing to do simple tasks as well. His parents were surprised that their mostly behaved and gentle boy could make such a face all day.

Despite being a mere child, his angry stare was something that even sent adults shivering. Chilling enough for several customers to visit the other flower shop down the road. What's worse is that he wouldn’t say anything. He only keeps a napkin by hand to sneeze into and his stare cold and hard whenever it lands on the colorful flowers. The uncomfortably he felt puts him in an awful mood, but he was not a complainer, and therefore kept quiet. Which may have intensified his foul mood, making his customer service skills go down the drain.

Knowing his parents were so proud of him, he kept silent about his growing hatred for being a florist for weeks, attending every Saturday florist work he had. However, that had to change when he was now expected to stay awhile every two days. His pent-up frustration started to seep into his daily life, making him easily irritable, constantly snappy and frowning.

Everywhere since then, all he could see was those blasted- eye itching- puke-inducing- assortments of dangerous petals. He thought it was the bright colors that he had a weird deep hatred for, so he started to feel angry whenever he even sees a few colourful tones. That tree with its luscious bright green leaves? Burn it. That calming blue sky above him? Burn it. That poodle with pink dyed hair? Don’t burn it, but please don’t dye the poodle anymore.

His teachers and friends noticed his change of demeanour first. The aura around him changed drastically. While he was still very polite, it was easy to sense the anger that laced in his tone. Suddenly, his peers were aware of his tall height, sharp stare and rough voice. All that added with his deafening silence and angry tone, Sara’s friend list on Facebook started getting short really fast.

After a week of losing friends, losing sleep, and losing his mind, he went to his parents and told them the truth about his experience with working as a florist. Truthfully, the idea of Sara being slightly allergic to flowers didn’t even come to his parent's mind until after their visit to the doctor. While they now understood the situation better, and Sara’s florist days were over, there was no cure to his hatred.

In fact, knowing about his allergy made him even more furious. Now not only did things with color make him wear an ugly scowl, but every single flower sent him fuming. Plastic, drawing, shape, you name it- he hates it. His parents had tried to help him with it, but it was no use. He wanted total domination of flowers. Environment be damned, he’d burned them, said he, menacingly to his parents who asked what he wanted for his birthday.

In fear that Sara would pick up on pyromaniac tendencies, his parents opted for a change of environment for Sara. He was sent to his grandmother's house to live in. Sara was still constantly in a foul mood and often scared people by how silent and menacing he is. But living with his grandmother, he learned that in a household, there can only be one cranky hag and it could not be him. His grandmother was eccentric at best, and devil-looking at worst. Healthy, upbeat, and with a history in the military, Sara had another thing that contributed to his foul mood.

2 years into their cohabitation, while the kid and the elderly had their rough demeanors clash multiple times, Sara had noticed that pink poodles could exist. His grandmother never praised his constant foul mood, but she had done a wonderful job at taking his focus away from flowers and bright colors. Slowly but surely, his dreams of being an arsonist faded and he found his old self again.

Although he had reconnected with his gentle side and was no longer in a constant bad mood, it didn’t change his natural face. Inherited from his grandmother, he had a resting look that could kill. Perhaps it was the years he spent making an angry face, but he could not do anything to ease people whenever he was near them. As if traces of his dark past were still on his face, people tended to stay away from the tall boy, eager not to anger him. Although he was in a happy mood, there was no way to undo his stone-cold, mean-looking face..

Lovely Creature
Reducio
With his presence, he makes people tremble. Their eyes watch him and their hearts beat faster than a normal rate. But it was when he turned 12 that people started to think that perhaps their heart was racing for a different reason..

Before, they couldn’t see his face properly. His hair was often unkempt and shaggy, as a poor attempt to cover his naturally angry eyebrows. But When his grandmother expressed that she wanted to save a little money for her ‘next hot date’, Sara went to the barber to give him a haircut, hoping to cut his hair enough so they no longer need to constantly buy shampoo for his previously long hair.

Unfortunately, the barber got a bit too much of his hair- pretty much leaving him with almost none left. Sara forgave him of course, as now they could save shampoo usage even more! Unexpected luck, how sweet. The grandmother didn’t share his happiness with his new look. “ It’s shiny!” Which was a compliment, Sara thought. Being shiny was quite a nice look, wasn’t it? He would find out later that he was not the only one who liked his new look.

Apart from being amazing caretakers to flowers, there was another reason why his parents' flower shop gained a lot of attention. They did not have a history of being a cranky child that was constantly thinking of world domination, unlike their only son. Therefore, no one had expected Sara to inherit their ability to attract onlookers. His past years, he still attracted onlookers, but for completely different reasons.

Which is why he didn’t feel any different than he did before. People were definitely still avoiding him if they could help it. They still jumped whenever his piercing stares met theirs and looked away the next second. The acceptance he learned to live with his intimidating aura had made him oblivious to the faint blushes his peers' cheeks had after looking away.

Yes, being near Sara felt like you were standing next to a person who could crush you and leave you to live your life as a crumpled ball. But if you sucked in the chilling aura and were brave enough to take a longer glance at his face, you could melt in a puddle right there. Several classmates had linked Sara to a Persian cat.

Angry looking, with their own special elegance that made it stand out. Look past his scary demeanor, and you would know he definitely took after his attractive parents.

Fearless
Reducio
It’s hard to be scared of others when you are considered scary yourself. Despite his record of stumbling over his words and relatively shy nature, he is not one to run away in the face of danger. Yes, he’s a cry baby. But he’s also a brave crybaby. Tears are hella manly. And only the bravest souls would be able to admit their feelings and let it out. He had suspected that his grandmother only told him that so he would cry more at school than at home. But regardless, in his head it had always been: cry more = more brave. Such an inspirational quote. So much that there is a badly drawn poster of it plastered above his bedside.

In addition to this, apart from his rather mischievous grandmother, he had grown up with the most loving parents anyone could ever ask for. They had made him the gentle and kind boy he is today. And with that they had taught him a few things in life that were important in his everyday life.

First, you do not judge anyone by their covers. Like him, there would be plenty of people with angry eyebrows that may like cats as much as he does. Second, mean people are only mean because they have been hurt. So try to understand it from their point of view. To understand one is to befriend one.

Third, be kind to animals. Some may want to eat your flesh, but if you invite them for tea, perhaps you will have a jolly time. It was no wonder his grandmother never wanted to live with them.

Regardless, it would be hard to scare the boy who attempted to understand everything. Even the scariest creature would not be able to scare him since they might enjoy a tea party if Sara invited them.

In addition to this, from the age of 7-12, he had thought he was a descendant of ogres. A crude joke from his grandmother that ended up making him read any picture book he could find on ogres and other related mythical creatures. By a very young age, he had already exposed himself to different picture books containing the magical creature. With an urge to understand his ‘heritage’, he would find the not-so-kid-friendly picture books in the library and promptly apologize to the librarian after he was done. Sure, he cried at some of those photos and drawings. But the more he exposed himself to them, the less he cried. Eventually being used to the most gruesome or grotesque images and their history.

Evasive Maneuvers
Reducio
Evasive may be the last ability you’d think of when seeing Sara. His burly build made it seem like he was the type to send a powerful punch but be slow on his attacks. It’s no lie that his punches could make people weep from pain, but it wouldn’t be smart to underestimate his agility.

As a young boy, he had a terrible past where his entire being was the human reincarnation of the 😒😤🙄emogis. The life of someone who was allergic to pollen while living in a flower shop with his 2 florist parents made it hard to be happy about anything. His days were spent grunting, snapping, and frowning at everything and everyone in sight. The nasty reputation he had in his small hometown wasn’t helping either.

Though the issue was resolved once he had moved in with his grandmother and returned to his old marshmallow self, the prior actions Sara had done will continue to haunt him to this day. While he was still somewhat self-conscious about it now, he was very insecure about it when he was younger. It took years to get used to how differently he was treated due to his intimidating appearance and the reputation his old self had left him.

He wasn’t bullied, but no fists needed to be swung to understand how he was not favoured among many. The whispers and sideways glances were too hard to ignore, even for Sara. No one dared to touch him of course, not with his evident strength. And knowing his grandmother was in the army? Fat chance of anyone messing with him, face to face. But that only made him more anxious. He made a promise to himself that even with his strength, he would always be on the defensive and avoid hurting anyone. It was never in his nature to use forceful ways to get what he wanted.

How serious he was about his promise would be tested as time passed. Some children become gutsier as they grow older. The gang of gangster wannabe kids would prove that by surrounding Sara after school with intention of teaching him who's ‘boss’. A term that confused Sara because he didn’t recall having any jobs at school that made him a boss of anything.

One by one kid would attempt a chance to land a hit on him. Sara, reminding himself that he didn’t want to hurt any of them, merely placed all his energy into avoiding them whenever they tried anything. Being on his guard for so long had prepared him to survive this unfair attack. Despite it being 1 vs 6, none of them seemed to be able to get close to Sara at all. Just as they were about to hurt him, Sara’s determination made him narrowly avoid their attacks. Thankfully, someone had called a teacher before it could get worse, but little did he know this would be a regular thing to him.

After that attack, it seemed like beating him in a fight was a sort of honor among gangster wannabes in his muggle school. And it would always end the same way, Sara running away without a single scratch, profusely apologizing as he ran away. It was evasion practice for him. A band of 4-7 kids tried to hit him and ultimately failed. At some point in time, people stopped ganging up on him. Although it had been years since anyone attempted to attack him, Sara’s evading skills never dulled.

It was clear that he was very serious about his promise of never hurting anyone and being on the defensive.

Ginyami has recently spent a lot of time with younger students, particularly the members of the Mahoukotoro Hexiwizard Tournament Team, and has needed to calm them down when others are panicked, scared, or angry. He has striven to be a pillar of grounded reliability with his strong sense of self-confidence particularly since he is older and more experienced than a lot of the students on his school's team. Since he is rather facetious about a lot of serious things and dire situations, he rarely gives the impression of seeming worried and thus his presence has been known to have a calming effect on those around him.

This has become increasingly evident during events of the past year. Ginyami has found himself in a couple of near-death situations that required quick thinking when he had to save others from drowning. By remaining calm himself, he was able to calm others and act responsibly and pragmatically. Since he tends to go with the flow, little bothers him (or at least appears to bother him) because he is good at concealing his true emotions and not allowing them to take him over or drastically affect his behavior. Ginyami knows how to seem approachable and amicable even toward people he doesn't like (when he wants to or feels he has something to gain from them) and has consequently learned how to put others at ease.

Since meeting a particular Durmstrang student, Valentin Schnell, Ginyami has experienced a great deal of emotional turmoil in the past several months for various reasons. His concern, affection, and jealousy have made it harder for him to maintain his usual generally nonchalant attitude, but it has also caused him to work harder to master his feelings. He wants and has wanted to be supportive of Valentin and his other friends such as his Hexwizard Team, especially in the Hexwizard Tasks to come, so he has been doing his best to be there for them in whatever way he can.

This young man plans to join the Quidditch team of his school after this summer since he used to play when he was younger and he misses it terribly. Due to this, he has tried to prepare himself to become a better team player by being encouraging, supportive, and reliable. As someone who is used to exhibiting obsequious and sycophantic behaviors in order to get friendly with people he has something to gain from, Ginyami is familiar with playing the role of a fawning sidekick or admiring teammate towards others in order to make them feel like the focus of attention or a 'main character'. For these reasons, he is excellent at providing a calming presence.

Abilities:
Charmer:
[reducio]This young man is very good at being distracting. Whether with his looks, his charm, or his wit, he has a way to get another’s attention and keep it if he desires. Due to Ginyami’s keen sense of observation and determining people’s personalities as well as their likes and dislikes, he does his best to kiss up to them and keep them entertained. He has learned this from a very young age due to being used to manipulating others in the most subtle of ways to get what he wants, particularly using flattery and praise. A compliment here, a honeyed word there, and soon he has someone in the palm of his hand.

He is outwardly very friendly and outgoing, charming people by playing to what they want most to hear and what they want of him in general. Catering to people is a specialty of his, being a natural people-pleaser, and he tends to be loved for it. Whether it’s his extensive knowledge of peoples’ birthdays, personal tastes, or passions, he uses it all to his advantage. His cheerful outward demeanor often keeps others from guessing at his ulterior motives and whether or not he’s sincere with his words and actions. Making himself easy to get along with really does wonders for his networking and he whole-heartedly believes in the saying ‘flattery will get you anywhere’.

Regardless of whether he looks down on others in reality or not, this Japanese boy is very good at hiding his true feelings and personality, molding himself into what he needs to be for whatever the situation requires. If someone needs cheering up, he’s right there to give them a boost with a wink and a smile. If someone needs a serious friend to listen to them and give advice, he will take advantage of the contrast between his usually frivolous-seeming self and his calmer state of being to convince people of a seemingly genuine desire to help them out.

Depending on people’s preferences, Ginyami is careful to spend time with them either one-on-one or in groups to get closer to them, particularly those who he feels will be potentially useful to him in the future in one way or another. He keeps in mind their preferences as introverts and extroverts in how he treats them and what environment they would most be comfortable in. During this time spent with them, he can demonstrate his knowledge about them as a person, making them feel seen and understood by him. In this way, he makes friends easily and even befriends friends of friends in order to expand his network of known people and connections.[/reducio]
Fearless:
[reducio]Ginyami has never really been daunted by much. He’s just never really had reason to experience true fear during the course of his privileged life. He'd never needed to fear his parents' wrath because said parents hadn't threatened or punished him much. This was because when he was younger, he found out very quickly that he was far more likely to get what he wanted if he was a good boy and did as he was told. Thus he behaved well – at least in front of others. As a result, there’s almost nothing he fears.

Since he has no real attachments to anyone or anything, he doesn’t fear loss or being alone. Pain, failure, and mistakes don't frighten him because he sees them as lessons to learn from and things that are easily remedied, especially with magic. People don’t scare him because he pities and looks down on most of them. Death has him more curious than afraid. The unknown to him is simply something to be discovered, not to be frightened of. He rarely even gets embarrassed, shameless as he is, and thus doesn't fear being humiliated. Wearing a nearly-constant smile on his face while acting frivolous and carefree also adds to his fearless image as he brushes off whatever obstacles he encounters in his day-to-day life such as jealous bullies and other antagonistic peers.

Of course, the youth knows there are those who are dangerous, but he doesn’t fear them because he believes everyone has a weakness if only one takes the time and trouble to find it. Believing himself to be one of the brightest students with magic on his side, the brazen boy finds little reason to fear even usually-terrifying beings such as dhampir and werewolves, instead looking down on them as half-breeds. He is also so confident and his ego so big that he has no trouble believing he can take on anything that might come his way - human, animal, or otherwise.

To Ginyami, fear is a weakness and a hindrance and is only useful when being used against someone else. It dulls one's sense of logic and keeps one from being able to think properly much like other emotions. The weak may use fear to sense those stronger than them and stay out of their way, but as Ginyami considers himself one of the strongest and most blessed wizards as a Japanese pureblood, he only sees reasons why others should fear him and not the other way around.[/reducio]
Foulplay:
[reducio]This ambitious young man will do whatever it takes to win, even using dirty tricks or foulplay. Since he's so used to getting what he wants, he simply sees cheating or committing fouls as a means to an end so long as he doesn't get caught. Having a two-faced personality already suggests his ability and willingness to deceive others and he will do so with no hesitation or remorse. Ginyami believes that in this world you have to make your own luck and fairness doesn't always win out so it's actually those who break the rules or who use trickery who end up triumphant in the end.

Competitive as he is, Ginyami will stop at nothing to give his team an advantage when playing games like pick-up games of Quidditch. One time some chasers of an opposing team tried to knock him out of the way so their teammate could score a point because Ginyami was the Keeper. He wouldn't stand for the stooging, however, and blagged his opponents by grabbing their brooms by the tails to keep them from their goals. As a Keeper, he has also been known to defend the hoops from behind rather than the front by pushing the Quaffle out in a foul called flacking. Another time, he even performed a snitchnip by catching the snitch and waiting until his team's Seeker was close enough before subtly passing it over while appearing to whisper in their ear.

As vindictive as he is, this student has also been known to purposefully collide with other opponents in order to try to knock them off their brooms (blatch), get in the way of the opponent Seeker (block), locking broomstick handles with an opponents' broomstick handle (blurt), and use his elbows excessively in order to hurt an opponent (cob). It's as if fouls don't exist in his mind and almost anything goes on the path to victory. If he has to take a penalty lap or two, he doesn't mind, but he has seen enough fouls take place and performed fouls often enough himself in the past to know how to increase his chances of getting away with them.

This is one guy who wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over resorting to under-handed tactics and tricks because he believes that the strongest and most successful are those who will use any means to achieve their ends. Since there are no rules to keep people from cheating in real life, why should he live by such rules during school where he should be preparing for real life? If the rest of the world isn't going to play fair, Ginymai doesn't plan to, either.[/reducio]
Evasive Maneuvers:
[reducio]Ginyami has always been quick to dodge things and people. Due to his deceitful personality, he has been known to upset and anger others before, causing them to want to retaliate, so he has always been careful to know how to escape their wrath. Things would be thrown and magic would be cast, but he would manage to evade it all. Even when he seems most carefree and calm, he is constantly aware of his surroundings and is ready to move at the slightest provocation in order to avoid getting snuck up on due to the many reasons people have to dislike and hate him.

In school, when he was picked on or bullied, he would avoid his enemy and dodge their physical and magical attacks rather than fight back. As he much prefers slow and subtle retaliation, he usually withdrew in order to make plans for his indirect future revenge instead of standing off there and then. Other children considered him a coward for this behavior, but this belief of theirs never bothered him, egotistic as he was and is. Shaking off obstacles in his life and carrying on as if nothing were wrong was how he preferred to respond to conflict when he couldn't avoid it.

As he got older, however, Ginyami got better and better at being nimble, whether it was to sneak up behind someone or to slip away out of another's grasp. This became especially useful in unofficial Quidditch games when he wanted to avoid being beaten down by Bludgers or knocked off his broom when Chasers tried stooging. Being lithe and difficult to hit along with knowing how to commit fouls with a lower chance of being caught makes Ginyami a rather tricky adversary as a Keeper.

Someone with habits like Ginyami and as relatively weak and delicate as he is has to learn how to dodge if they don't want to get hit. Aside from often committing fouls in unofficial Quidditch, he doesn't know how to pick his fights and will openly insult those who he looks down on if he sees no merit in warming up to them. It's not that he means to instigate violence or loathing, but he tends to inspire those anyway due to his supercilious nature when he shows his true colors. Thus being cautious and ready for an attack at any moment has saved his hide many times when people have decided they've had enough of his awful tendencies.[/reducio]
Calming Presence:
[reducio]Ginyami has recently spent a lot of time with younger students, particularly the members of the Mahoukotoro Hexiwizard Tournament Team, and has needed to calm them down when others are panicked, scared, or angry.

Approved (Lear) June 11
EDIT 30th June by Hjørdis: Of Note: Removing the Calming Presence ability from trunk, as he already has Charmer and can't have both. Since this was mistakenly added and not noticed by us until he brought it to our attention, I'm giving him two weeks from today to write a new 5th year ability and update this past the deadline.
