Maybe it was the amount of branches she had dodged when she chased butterflies, and insects of all sorts as a kid. Demitra, to this day, was confident in moving nimbly through crowds, small spaces, and dodging occasional pillows (courtsy of her cousins).

She spent her childhood, day after day, half-term after the next, mostly outside. Demitra would wake up to the sunrise, as an 8 year old and bundle downstairs, narrowly waking her parents up. She would put on her shoes, a coat if it was cold, and sprint outside, to her favorite spots. The air was slightly damp from yesterdays rain, but the summer sunshine was just beginning to peak through - and Demitra was already out. She skipped to the pond; crystal blue in her eyes, and adorned with lily pads and an occasional frog. There, she would build small houses for snails; ducking under trees and venturing deeper into bushes, returning with yet more "sofas" (leaves) and "walls" (wooden sticks).

She found herself getting hurt much less as time went on, evading particular thorns that she saw near, and moving nimbly enough to avoid occasional spiders on the trees (thank heavens for the latter, for she wasn't too keen on them). Most of the times, she came back home unscathed (and happy as ever). She explored the different parts of the forests, different bushes, examined and sniffed the flowers (and once she did attempt to see what happened in a foxes den, but we all know that she got scared after inching half a step forward).

During several summer breaks, when she was a kid, her cousins would visit her. Demitra and her cousins, armed with matching pillows, would proceed to have a furious and intense pillow fight, almost always resulting in a lot of pillow feathers being left on the carpet. Demitra was competitive, and dodged and threw pillows for all she was worth. Incoming from the right, she would sense and instantly dodge the other way. Almost like a small tingling of danger was signaled, and she would immediately react. (Unfortunately that didn't happen all the time, and there were times she was hit full face with a pillow. She doesn't like to mention that.)

Coming to Hogwarts, and her first year, she moved through the corridors easily, evading different clusters of people like they were branches. She would occasionally press herself against a wall when needed, or dodge the groups of friends who seemed to do everything but attend classes (they seemed to be standing in the corridors for ages).

Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):

It started when she was eight. Kiana had never been a particularly naughty or sneaky child, and never caused her parents any trouble. She was, in fact, the model child. All parents wanted a kid like her. But it was at this lovely, lucky age of eight that she discovered the ultimate weapon for any child her age. Stealth.

For most children, being able to sneak into the kitchen after dinner and snag an extra cookie was a privilege. A magical power, almost, because most of the time they got caught. But for Kiana, it was never a struggle. She simply gazed up at the maids with big, pleading eyes and they let her have her way. But when they were more adamant, she'd simply put on her lucky socks and count the minutes until the maids were off duty. Then she'd tip-toe with catlike precision into the kitchen and enjoy a bite of sweetness.

It was really quite simple.

But of course, little Kiana wasn't conscious to the fact that this "skill" had been developed and honed throughout the years. Growing up in her family her mother had always instilled in her the notion that she must be "elegant, graceful, and demure." Naturally, if she acted otherwise she would be scolded. And those scoldings were hurt, some still seared into her memory to this day. Thus, compelled by that fear and awed reverence she developed impeccable posture, refined poise, and a composed demeanor. She herself never realized this and just took it to be convention, but other parents admired her and often asked her parents what the secret to raising such a lovely child was.

This discipline thus gave her a great advantage, and by the time she realized she was stunned that she didn't realize this sooner. She could walk unnoticed from one end of the house to the other, and the maids wouldn't even hear or see her. She could slide down the handrails of the stairs and nobody would stop her (because no one would have noticed, obviously). Hell, she could sneak out, go to a party, come back, and still be unscathed and unnoticed. She had once tested this new "power" by sneaking into her parents' room at night and swiping her favorite graphic novel from their bedside (they forbade her to read it ever since she tried to recreate one of the scenes in the backyard and scraped her knee). Nobody woke up.

Of course, the power was also the reason why she suffered. She had once (when she was nine) tried sneaking downstairs to grab a box of juice (late-night hunger) and instead ended up eavesdropping on a conversation between her parents that would change her life. A divorce. She'd returned to her room juiceless and in tears.

Despite that one instance, Kiana eventually did recover and the 'power' ended up bringing her more benefit than harm anyway. She tried not to abuse this power (and she didn't) but it empowered her. It made her confident. By eleven she could walk with such elegant ease that it made the other neighborhood tweens look like Neanderthals. She could follow the stray cats (whom she loved feeding, but were incredibly elusive) to their lair without being noticed. She even thought they may have mistook her for a cat after that stunt.

She felt more than she'd ever had before.

Willow. Ada is insecure about many things and she knows it. No mater how hard she try's to hid it. Stuff scared her and she couldn't change that. Even so, Ada has always been quite adventuress and that meant that she often got herself hurt. Time after time she watched her mother heal her cuts and scrapes and broken bones and bruises. This is what she wanted to do heal people and make them feel better about themselves even if she couldn't convince herself that everyone is afraid of something. Willow wands are good for healing Ada's interest in being a healer is reflected in this wand wood as well as her being unsure of herself. Willow wood could not better reflect Ada.

Wand Core: Kneazle Whisker
Reducio
Kneazle Whisker. It is said that Kneazle Whisker wands are weak. This was not however what Ada's father said when she purchased her first wand in Ollivanders wand shop. Her Father said that they were strong in their own fashion, not weak like most say. Just like her. Ada is suborn and interdependent, compassionate and ready to take matters into her own hands if need be. Ada is a girl who knows what she wants and is willing to put in the work to get it. This makes her a bit closed minded at times but she is generally open to new ideas. These characteristics are reflected in the Kneazle whisker core of her wand.

Wand Length: 11 and 3/4 inches
Reducio
Ada is a very out going and playful person so it makes sense that she has a wand on the longer side. And the way she dose magic is very lively and expressive. Ada's whimsical nature is a reflection of her wand. It is often said that Ada is not serous about academics witch is quite true. What Ada thinks is something on the lines of: "Whats the point of living if you can't have fun?" When ever some big academic thing starts to loom over her year. This is why 11 and 3/4 inches wand length fits Ada quite well.
(100 words)

Wand Flexibility: Fairly Bendy
Reducio
Ada is a flexible person in general and is always willing to take on new challenges or quickly switch the paths she takes. She is suborn, yes but not close minded. She will approach new ideas and new beliefs with caution but she wont shut them out. This is why her wand is Fairly Bendy, It reflects her buoyant nature and willingness to bend the rules and take risks. It also reflects the open mind set she often obtains. The flexibility of Ada's wand is a perfect mach for her.

Brutus was told about Hogwarts at a young age. Both from his parents, and his favorite relative, Dan.
When he was told about Quidditch, he was immediately interested, and wanted to watch a game for himself. And when he did, he was immediately enraptured. The flying, the scoring, just the COOLNESS of it all! He knew immediately that he wanted to be a Quidditch player. It helped that Dan was the Slytherin's Star Seeker, and probably one of the best ones in Hogwarts' history.

However. Brutus knew also that Seeker was not the job for him. All that waiting around and just LOOKING. Being a Seeker, to him, was boring as hell until the last 5 or 10 minutes of the game.
A Keeper wasn't much better. If anything it was even worse, because you don't leave your goalposts at ALL. And it'd be all his fault if the enemy team scored. Along with the massive target on your back.
So it was between a Chaser and a Beater. The Chasers were high speed, super action-y, and looked REALLY fun. But, Brutus saw the Beaters and decided that that was the position for him. Smashing bludgers and blasting people off their brooms, taking out key figures, and being feared by the entire other team. It sounded perfect for him!
He already liked working out and exercise, so why not be the player type that benefits from that?

Brutus beefed up his work out routine, and started eating more protein. If he was going to be the star Beater of his House one day (Hopefully Slytherin!) he would need to bulk up as much as possible. After a few months of training, he began to see a good amount of results. He was getting stronger, his stamina was improving, and his practice with his bat was getting better. He made sure not to push TOO hard, but always pushed to better himself. More than yesterday. Slowly and surely, he was adding more and more weight. Going on longer and longer jogs. More and more pull ups. And MAKING SURE not to skip leg day. All, of course, on different days. Doing all of that at once was a recipe for disastrous muscle tears.

He was making sure to have rest days as well. He'd read that resting was just as important as the workout. So he made certain that he had adequate time to rest.
He wanted to be sure that by the time he went to Hogwarts, he would be suitably strong to be an asset for the Quidditch team.

As a muggleborn, Victoria Park was often seen having unexplained strokes of luck, and enjoyed an easy childhood. It wasn't only the magic in her, it was also the privileges that came with being a interesting, unique child. A lot of the kids in her schools were eager to see her read English, and often pointed out English words, most commonly the words on the cafeteria glass door, for her to read. She would meet people referring to her as 'wegukin', the word for foreigner in Korean, as if they knew her, even if she had never seen them in her life. The easiness of her life, she thought was due to this, although it wasn't so. In first grade, she would have stepped into a puddle of muddy, half-frozen water in the middle of winter, if it weren't for a strange cold feeling at her feet making her stumble in the opposite direction. She often attributed the odd occurrings as luck, and her friends would sometimes jokingly rub her head as a good luck charm before tests. But as she grew older, her intuition only got stronger, until even she felt it was too good to be true. She would feel a cold feeling in her stomach and side-step just before she would have been kicked in the gut by two boys playing in the corridor, and she would get a cold feeling at the back of her neck and know to duck just before her friend tripped and her apple flew in her direction. After Victoria moved to London and was accepted into Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, she decided to participate in a bloodline test, to see if she was descended from a squib. She soon discovered that she was the descendant of a Sunyo (선녀) on her mother's side, which was what gave her magic. After the only daughter being a Squib 18 generations ago, she was the first witch in her family for a long time, and her family information had not been passed on to her mother. She was therefore the first witch in her family in 18 generations and was the first seer in her entire family. She only hoped to put it to good use.

"Again." Knees straining and buckling under her weight, Viktoriya hissed before slamming the mattress again, exhausted. "I said, again." Rolling eyes to the back of her head - though making sure her father didn't spot that movement - the silver haired rose again, as she had been doing for the past hours. Though every last limb and ligament of her body thoroughly protested against such violence, she adored and bathed in every second of it. Feeling, and knowing how each of her muscles bended and stretched, instinctively choosing the right ones to bend, avoid, dodge and roll. "Faster." Panting, she dove under his arm, sending a kick high onto his chest, retreating it before he could catch her feet and rolling on the hard mattress, facing him again. "Faster." Faster faster faster, be the wind roaming the frost-covered mountains, be the freezing river running free, be faster than the starving wolf hunting its prey, be faster than the raptor soaring high in the winter sky. Be. Faster.

She lived by that principle, every minute, every second of her days.

Faster, as she competed with her brother for the metal sparring blade, always beating him by a quarter of inch - Heart thundering, they break open the heavy ornate doors to her favourite room, running as fast as she can and hearing Dmitry's footsteps hammering the wooden floor right next to her. She grins, knowing he will simply be too slow, and she dives, wrapping her hand around the hilt of it before he even got the chance to enter the blades room.

Faster, as she fought him with two steps ahead, always knowing his next move, and avoiding it - always the same knowing smile plastered on her lips, the only time she could genuinely taunt him with his slothful moves and idiotic strategies. Ducking his blow, returning three times the force, avoiding the slash of his training storm and diving under his arm before making him stumble. He never touched her, never managed to.

Faster, as she flew under the crumbling chandelier of the manor's center dining room, heart still pounding as she figured out how seconds away from serious injuries she had been. Something had screamed at her to move move move, and as always her limbs had followed, ducking danger.

What she lacked in strength, she largely compensated by her speed and innate gift at evasion. Her mind knew and acted, her body followed. No one touched her, swords barely brushed her. She always seemed to know seconds before the disaster hit, was always standing in the right spot, moving even before the person facing her processed the information.

Faster.

Name of the ability you are applying for: Rapid Reviver

Describe why this fits your character:
Reducio
four years ago, Andy was still going to muggle school, and even though Andy's school was private, not all of the people there had manners. There are rich people, who won the lottery, and before where very poor, so they still had the bad manners from the poor times. But, not for Andy. He was always kind, actually allowed people to sit at his lunch table, and was always willing to talk to someone who was lonely. That is a very good trait for Andy, and this ability fits his trait, of being able to help someone who gets shoved off his or her broom, and plus, it makes you have enough health if the person you are trying to save has negative health. That is like Andy standing up to a bully in school, and then making the victim feel better. And today, I will talk about one example in Andy's life as a muggle before Hogwarts. It was the middle of the school day, and history class was coming to a end. Goodbye, students, make sure to finish your essay tommorow or it will be a zero on your report card. Andy's teacher said strictly. It will probably be even worse in middle school... the teachers will be even stricter. Andy thought. private middle school will be more stricter indeed, because if you really take a look aat Scottish public schools in Perth, then the teachers will still be strict. Hey! Get back here! someone yelled from the back of the D wing of the school, the wing that Andy was located at this moment. It was Logan. Andy's cousin, who is the opposite of Andy. He was a spoiled brat, just like Andy's brother Maxwell, but even Max did not bully. Only Logan. He was yelling to his sister, Olivia. They never get along, and things like this happen everyday. But Andy had enough. He started sprinting in the direction of Logan. Logan! Stop! Please, just leave Olivia alone! What did she do to you this time?Logan completly ignored Andy and tried to rampage through Andy, but Andy had other plans. He did not let Logan hit a girl. I promise that I will not hit her, she just forgot her pencil!Insited Logan, even though things like this happened a lot of times, when Logan tried tricking someone just to get revenge on Olivia. You might ask, what does she do yo Logan to make him want to beat her up? Well, really, nothing. Just the fact that Olivia gets great grades in school makes Logan very Jealous. Logan, get away from her! Or will report you to the principal! Andy yelled. Logan got scared, and left. This is why Andy should get the Rapid Reviver ability. Because he is hardworking, and very kind. But, Andy can also revive, or make someone feel better if they are unconsous. When Andy got into Hogwarts, something like that happened at a Quidditch scrimmage. It was the end of the school year, and the weather was incredibly hot. And when you try very hard in such a hard sport, then you might get a headache because of the heat, and even worse, become onconsious. A person from Andy's team got unconsious not because of the heat, but because of a bludger hitting them. Then, a second person fell unconsious because of the heat. Andy knew that all of the people did not knwo what to do, since at the time, they where only second years, so Andy took matters into his own hans. For the first time, Andy rushed to the hospital wing and got ice, layed on the head of the person who got a heatstroke, and waited. After that, he technically revived her. Then, the second person, who seemed to had trouble breathing. That might be because of the bludger not hitting his heat, but because of the snitch in his mouth. Andy quickly put two of his hands on his chest, and squished, then let go, and again and again, until the snitch flew right out of the persons mouth, and into Andy's hand. Andy's team won the scrimmage, and he revived not one, but two people! That is also why he deserves this ability.

Edith was never a loud or active person. No, she was the opposite; shy and quiet. She had never needed friends or even someone to talk to: her own presence was enough for Edith. When she had been younger, Edith had always wished for a pet. She would beg her foster mother to get one, but until Hogwarts she had always disagreed. Instead, Edith would talk to the squirrels in her back garden (obviously not actually talk, but just communicate with... feelings? Edith was unsure how to describe it.) She could easily make a street pigeon eat seeds from her hand, and animals just... didn't seem to be scared of Edith, unlike other humans.

Whereas Holly would normally invite her friends to the house, Edith preferred to be alone with animals. And when Holly finally got the ginger cat she'd always begged for. after the first few weeks it was Edith caring for it, not Holly; feeding it and stroking it and taking it out for walks. Though cats were nice, Edith had never really wanted her own one. In truth, she would want a dinosaur (but she was a few million years late) or a lizard, or even a rat. She wanted something quite fearless, or scary, or at least with large teeth.

Finally, in her second year, Edith had managed to persuade her foster mother to give her a pet for her birthday, and when she woke up in the morning, full of anticipation, she entered the garden to a cool breeze... and a rat in a cage. Edith had squealed with delight, and rushed to show Holly. With a lot of persuasion from her, Edith called the rat 'Lopsie' and taught it to do small tricks on her hand.

Even though everyone knew rats weren't magic and couldn't talk, Edith was sure that there was something special about Lopsie, or her. The way he seemed to communicate with her, or smile as he twitched his whiskers upwards. It was a wonder; the way a human and rat were able to feel so close to each other, and love each other deeply. And yet it was true: every evening when Edith went to feed Lopsie it would jump up with excitement, because it could feel that she was there. Nowadays, Edith hardly went anywhere without her beloved rat, just as a companion, and sometimes she would whisper to him, and even though he didn't understand the details she was sure he got the gist of it. People would think Edith as a strange person, but she didn't really care because she had animals, and that was all she would ever need.

Draven's pen had no more ink to give, blue lines growing fainter on the parchment before stopping altogether. Behind were only scratch marks, indentations from where the student's sweaty grip had pushed into the paper. His fingers twitched, a migraine slowly but surely gathering behind his temples. It clamped down on his head, tightening with each minute movement.

Swallowing, Draven sat up. The massive clock pinned to the library wall showed half-past ten.

He'd been at the same darn table for the better part of the day, his legs growing stiff and back locking up as minutes trickled by. The book stacks in front of him hadn't grown, nor had the measly pile of notes containing information that his brain just couldn't absorb. He must have read the first chapter a dozen times. And yet, it was like the words weren't sticking to his muddled brain, fog from a combination of calming drafts and sleeping potions making them scatter and dragging them out of order.

Arching unsteadily through the air, Draven's pen clipped the side of the garbage bin placed on the other side of the room. He supposed it was a good thing he'd dropped out of quidditch, with a throw like that.

Giving him a somewhat annoyed look, the nearby house elf picked up the pen and pointedly dropped it in the garbage. The little lady wrinkled her nose at him. Draven snickered. The house elf didn't, turning away with a huff.

He would have gotten up and disposed of it. Eventually.

Returning his gaze to the textbook, Draven groaned. The urge to slam his head into it until the words got imprinted on his face was strong. He couldn't remember the last time he'd studied, especially not like this. He supposed all information was the same at the end of the day. He just needed to get it from print into his head.

Flipping back to the first chapter, Draven crumpled his sheet of notes. Instead of daring another throw at the garbage can, a flick of his wand and a 'Wingardium Leviosa' carried the paper politely across the room. He'd read the book until he got it right. And perhaps a couple times afterward, for good measure.

School was nothing. Studying was nothing. Compared to living with Rory and her rotating cast of friends. It was nothing compared to seeing his dad's shriveled up form in bed, hooked up to wires and drifting in and out.

He wouldn't end up like them.

Either of them.

Cracking his fingers, Draven pulled out his highlighter. The book was already covered in green, but a quick tap of his wand allowed him to start over. Perhaps he'd study five minutes at a time. Ten. Fifteen. He'd walk around. He'd sit back down. Whatever it took, so he could recite the information inside and out. History, dry as it was, served as a cornerstone for understanding the world around him. Muggles were proving that at the very moment, with each newspaper screaming of rising death counts and starvation.

Time passed. His migraine grew. The page slowly but surely grew colorful once more. It was only September 2nd, but he'd be damned if he got anything but perfect marks this year. He'd be damned if he didn't spend each second he wasn't sleeping studying. He could do this right. Could do SOMETHING right. Before the year was out.

A lot of things shaped her into who she is.

The last few months were the worst for her. Eugenia was left with no energy and a feeling like she was paying every breath with her life. She had never felt so paranoid yet empty inside. But she couldn’t feel fear anymore. Concern yes, but no fear. Not really.

She didn’t exactly know the source of it. Usually, she felt discomfort, anxiety, maybe some concern, but never true fear. Maybe once after her grandfather died, she was afraid of what would happen, but not that much. Sure, she felt fear for her physical integrity when she mounted her broom for Quiddich or when she had to write a test for a class, but not usually. And then at the peak of it all was the New Year’s change.

Her and her sister had to run through the mansion’s tunnels to get to a secret room and floo themselves to safe houses. And for once, she was separated from her sister, not out of choice, but for safety. And she was in a fire, a whirling fire all alone, needing to go to an estate of a person who had promised help. There were no news from anyone to lower her stress until she returned to school. She was afraid. And one of the days, she felt a calm. An unusual calm overtaking her doused the unsettling. She was safe. If no awful telegraph had come yet, her sister was too. It was all fine.

Fine.

Safe.

More like the calm before the storm.

Coming back to Hogwarts, the unexpected happened. Her progress was wiped. She felt it again, the tremor in her hands, she’d jump at the noise. Nightmares plagued her, waking her up at night, where she ran and ran to escape her dreams. A confusing mush of simple human civilisation and paranoia were enough to make her want to scream out her lungs or run away. The calm was drowned again as fresh waves overtook her. But how could she do anything if she were to sit like an infant in the corner, hopeless?

She knew how to recover. If you do something once, you can do it twice and if you do it enough times, you could do it forever. So standing on that, she tried to control her reactions and her feelings. Fear was simply chemicals in your brain. It wasn’t a movement. And while everything stayed with her, she didn’t have to repeat it.

Thus began a road towards acceptance of who she was. Again and again, she wouldn’t let failure doom her. She tried to tackle that fear first. The most controllable. Step by step, all alone. Journaling into the night and writing everything down; for if you can write it, you can control it. And fear was gradually reduced to concern.

Once. Twice. Thrice. Skill learnt forever.

Maybe this was how her supposed fearlessness emerged. And if she tried to save herself, the heiress to two houses, she had to do this. She’d be the perfect girl. Handle it. Calm, cool. Happiness wasn’t as frequent like when she was a kid. But she wasn’t on the other side of the spectrum either. And even if she felt empty, it was a nice balance. And certainly, there were things to fill it.

She did this for her sister. The little girl deserved it more than she did. Now she knew how. To always be there. For the one who made her smile the most. She’d only give her smiles now. No fear.

She had made a great vow for her.

No fear. Only smiles.
