Irina is a quiet girl. She is quite reserved and she always keeps her cards close to her chest. Even though she might seem cold or that she ignoring you, she is silently observing with her careful eye. If you get close to her, or manage to gain her trust, she will reward you with an intimate and honest friendship. Her value is deep within her and she cannot be easily manipulated.
Irina prefers a good book over an outing with friends or a sports match except if it is a duel. The one thing though she would never miss would be a gathering with her family; her close and extended one. Those are the only times she is constantly laughing and having fun to its fullest extent.Her family are the ones she values the most.

Irina Liliya Zvereva was born on May 13th 2012 in St. Petersburg on a hot afternoon, just as the sun was setting. Her parents were both wizards, one Muggle-born and the other a Pure-blood. She was the second of 4 children, the first being only a year older than her. During her infant years, she would play with her wooden toys and her dolls. She was a closed child from the start, as she didn’t like playing with the other magical girls in her neighbourhood. That didn’t really matter to her family as with every day that passed, her intelligence shined through.
The fact that she was the first daughter in the family came with a lot of responsibilities. Her father worked at a shop with potion ingredients and while he was away, his wife would teach their children everything she knew. Apart from the things she taught her siblings, Irina was also taught how to cook and clean, something that she was bound to know if she wanted to be a housewife. The things her mother did made Irina very fond of her from the very start.
When each of the children reached the age of 5, Mariya, their mother, talked to them about the magical world. Unlike her siblings, Irina was not frightened at all, but she engaged in a deep discussion with her mother, wanting to know everything about it. She was informed about the school “Koldovstoretz”, the Russian school of Magic and that getting accepted there would be a huge honour for her family. That instantly became her biggest goal something that she was absolutely willing to achieve.
At the age of 8, Irina had her first instance of magic. She was cleaning her bedroom with a broom, when she accidentally hit some shelves where a beautiful vase stood. It fell down and broke. Irina was obviously a bit sad and worried. When she tried to scoop it with her broom, the vase suddenly turned whole again, without a single crack. Irina looked around. Her mother wasn’t there, so she couldn’t have done the spell and her father was away. She had done it on her own. When she told her eager mother, she bent down and hugged her. She then heard her say the magic words. “Irina Liliya Zvereva, you are officially a little witch.”
From then on, Irina was always dreaming about her time in Koldovstoretz would be. When her brother went to the school, she wished she could go with him. And when she was finally accepted, her heart swelled with excitement. After all, her worries were forgotten. She was living her dream life, a life full of magic.

Arriving at Koldovstoretz, she was mesmerised by all the magic. Having lived a half-muggle life, she initially had some difficulties adjusting. Eventually, she got used to all the magic, learning spells quickly and taking a great liking towards duelling.
The dream she was living in suddenly got shattered when she received a letter from her mother just after the Christmas Holidays. When she, her older brother, and her mother returned to St.Petersburg for the kids to go to school, her father and two younger siblings stayed at their muggle grandparents. Her father, one day, wanted to take a walk around his home town, wanting to see how it changed. They hadn’t been there in a long time, you see. Forgetful as he was, he left his wand at the living room coffee table, going out without it.
He was crossing the street when he suddenly got dizzy. And before he could realise it, a motorcycle came furiously fast and hit him severely, running him over. Her father died instantly. When the ambulance arrived, the paramedics could only declare his death. He had been crushed on impact.
This event made her change, becoming even closer. But friends would help her get out of her shell as she realised there was no “forever” in life, just now, and tomorrow, a tomorrow that might not even exist. She was taken in by her mother’s pure blood family. But she despises it. So, on the contrary of being obedient, she is a ghost child causing trouble often, however. She knows she’ll be pulled out soon. Quite frankly, that’s her goal.
