Hey, so if you decide that you want to delete (or deactivate) the account, fine. However, I would like to remind you that you are not guarenteed to get a staff role, when you apply, other people also apply and so your chances of getting a role are just the same as theirs. If there are 12 applicants for Runes, your chances of getting it, again are just the same as everyone elses.

I would suggest, at least in general for everyone, ensuring you maintain good behavior, actively roleplay, be kind, and be active in the community.

You don't know me very well Oliver, but I joined on Noah March 2021. I was a problematic child and a pain in Lear's butt. In staff's butt. However, no matter how many times I applied for a staff position, I did not get it until April 2023, when I became the Astronomy Professor. I shaped up, learned to be nice and behave. I became Mentor Team Co-Lead while I was Astro Professor. I stepped down in December of that year and despite applying through most of 2024, I did not get a staff role again until March 2025. I got Nurse then became the History of Magic professor.

The point is, I applied a lot before I even became a staff member, and I had a lot of growing to do.

Did I feel discouraged? Yes. But I did not stop. I made efforts to be better, I focused on becoming a more involved, engaged member of the community that was not a total jerk. So, as i said, if you wish to delete or deactivate the account, that's up to you. Just understand what I said here.

Could someone please explain the process to get an iNPC, along with how to apply for a magical race for them and how to get them into a sport or activity (i.e. Duelling)? Thank you

Hi Piper, you can find the information on how to apply for an iNPC here: iNPC Sub-Account. Just keep in mind that you would have to be validated for 6 months and on the Official Index to be eligible for an iNPC. It looks like you'd be eligible on November 1st, 2025.

As for applying for a special race, you would do this in your application for the iNPC. There's a question in the iNPC application's (Durmstrang as an example) that says:

Special Race/Ability: To be accepted for a special ability such as Parselmouth or Seer or a special race (such as a Dhampir or part Goblin) you would need to apply for this on initial character creation.

In the above question, you would need to explain how/why your character is that special race or has that special ability.

In the initial application, you can also apply for a sport, or you can sign up in the iNPC trunk updates form once your iNPC is approved by a staff member.

That was going to be my suggestion. Now, give it a few days for (1) the team leads to check whether you have met the requirements-
-- Have at least 4 rp posts
-- Have completed at least 1 homework
-- Have not been registered in index

However, it is also directly up to the mentor team leads to determine if you are able to join the team. If you wish to seek help, you can owl me.

When I RP retroactively, I understand that I won't be able to use skills I haven't gotten yet that year. For example, I have Chasers Interception this year but not last year, so I know that if I RP for last year, I won't be able to use them, but what about Calming presence and Lovely Creature? I won't be using this in a modded post, but since Alliasta has been like this since her childhood, can I show that I have these skills in my RPs from the past? So, of course, Alliasta won't say that she has them, but will they exist?

I'd refrain by calling the abilities by name or including mechanical effects – think of getting the actual ability at school as in a result of 'magical awakening' or something to that degree, perhaps! However, if you wrote those ability applications to be reflective of what Alliasta was like growing up, there's no reason you couldn't still write her as having traits like those the abilities might give her.
