Koldovstoretz NPC
Name: Maxim Levin (Максим Левин)
School: Koldovstoretz
Year: Second Year
Status: Pureblood
Appearance: Maxim is average height for his age, his hair is natural blonde, on the longer side for a boy, not longer than his neck though. He dyes it often to give variety of looks. Piercing blue eyes, narrow jaw line. Slender, not a lot of muscle at all. Pale white skin tone.
Personality: He is a rather suave and charismatic boy, very good with communication, and is the type of person that can entertain a room. He is very self centered, and will often only look out for his own needs, however has a way of making others feel like he puts their needs above his own. Relationships are like business deals to him, what another can offer him with dictate what he offers back. However there is a side to him, that he keeps mostly hidden, a small child that is just wanted to be seen, loved and accepted. Keeping relationships so unemotional is a form of protection against rejection, though he would never let on that his greatest fear is being abandoned.
History: Maxim lived a very normal childhood in the mother land of Russia. He has an older brother (Leo) for the most part he got along with. During his early days of childhood, his father (Stepan) would recount epic tale from his own life growing up. Imbedding in his sons the honour it was to be of the Levin Family! His father was a well known quidditch player, and gained a fair amount of wealth and fame from it. Though Maxim didn't have a bad relationship with his mother, he wouldn't say he had a fantastic one either. She often wasn't home, out most days and nights. When she was home, she fought with father, and it always bothered Maxim and Leo, why was she so hostel all the time? She never made an effort to spend time with her own sons either, so it remained at home, and unspoken rule that you just left mother alone, and life would be manageable.
It was a wondrous day when Maxim first experienced magic, a day his father had been anticipating for a long time. The 3 boys were out for a shopping trip, getting some new clothes and just window shopping. Maxim was trailing behind his father and brother as they walked through the streets, pointing out stores they wished to visit. As they walked, Maxim started to have a tickle in his nose, and it grew to an unbearable itch... he didn't have a hanky, and he new very well that wiping or sneezing into your clothes was less then a gentleman standards. But as they walked further and further along, with no lavvy or tissue in sight, the urge overtook and he let out the biggest sneeze... only when he opened his eyes, his feet were not on the ground... and come to think of it, father was always taller than he was... When his father turned, Maxim was falling back to the ground, only having lifted a few feet in the air, but it was enough to know it was magic, his father rejoiced, picking up Maxim in his arms.
After that it was just a matter of waiting to be old enough to enroll in Koldovstoretz, however during that time, their family landed on hardships. At the age of 9 Mom left the family, ran off with some other wizard... it angered Maxim, why would she leave dad? The man did everything for her! How ungrateful. Maxim and his brother stayed with their father, and watched as girl after girl came into his life, but left... clearly women had some vendetta against their father, Maxim hopped for one that would appreciate the man he was. And one day he hoped to be just like his father!

FOUL PLAY
Monica's Ency
Reason for wanting this ability: Maxim grew up with the mindset of, "somebody has got to lose, and you better pray it isn't you." With that sort of mentality, his mind set very quickly became how to avoid being the looser in any given competition. Losing was the worst offence you could do as a Levin, Levin's Do NOT lose! They play the game in their favour. Maxim's father was the one that instilled this mindset into his boys, the way he played quidditch was a shady style to say the least, and for most of his games, he would get away with it. Most people who knew of Maxim's father, new him for a sly, unfair player, and he was either a loved man for how confident he was in his plays, or hated due to all of the cheating... However it never phased any of the family, those who were angry were just mad they lost, at least that is how Maxim had looked at it all. His father inspired Maxim, that if he wanted to make it in the world, the world wasn't going to hand him the win, or pat him on the back, but winning was something you claimed and could control. It started from a very young age, tricking other kids out of various collections, or possessions, due to Maxim's way of starting a bet/competition, but bending rules to his favour. As he grew up, and games were introduced outside of childhood knowledge, such as wizard chess, and racing, Maxim took great care to learn the strategies of said games, and find the best way of working the game into his favour. Whether that was taking advantage of a bathroom break to shift pieces, using spells or potions, under the table, or using his brother as an accomplices in his schemes. Once he was old enough to play quidditch, he adapted the same style of playing as his father, sneaking less than fair plays into rounds, and for the most part, getting away with it. It was rather simple, pay attention to the officials, and wait for the right moment. If Maxim ever lost, it wasn't going to be because he let it happen, rather he would blame said failures on his teammates rather than his own actions. So to say the least, this skill of foul play isn't just a mannerism that Maxim picked up, but rather a way of living, and playing he was taught.
CHARMER
Monica's Ency
Reason for wanting this ability: Maxim was always a good looking guy. As a child he was often called, by other moms, the cutest little boy they ever did see. It was something that Maxim held over his brother, the fact that he was so instantly likeable, and sought out by people. Not that his brother by any means was ugly, but he just didn't have the same blesses way with words, and navigating social situations like Maxim did. It may have come from his father, who himself was also quite the charmer, but even Maxims mother would say that Maxim surpassed the level of charm that his father possessed. Perhaps it wasn't all due to his looks, though he was quite the looker, but Maxim had a way with words. He is the type of guy that knows how to appear as though he is listening, and make the person feel heard. He knows how to work a crowd, and to pull people on to his side in nearly any argument. A moment that sticks out in his life, was when he was 7 years old. A friend in the neighbourhood had been given a beautiful family brooch, with golden leaves that decorated the center piece of a dazzling diamond. The girl that owned this brooch wore it everywhere, and of course in doing so, made Maxim want it even more. He was able to talk down the beauty of it, even going as far to say it was a worthless trinket that seems like it was a last minute thought to give to her, rather than choosing a gift that would really make her feel special. His charms and persuasion over the girl, convinced her that this family brooch was worthless, and that she no longer wanted it. Maxim offered he take it off her hands, so she wouldn't get in trouble for not wanting it. Feeding her a fake story about how she lost it, and desired another family heirloom to replace it. All while he took this brooch for himself. There is something about the way Maxim speaks that just makes sense, no one can resist his charm or reasoning, and he often uses it to his advantage, whether that is to make friends, get what he wants, or avoid trouble. Most would say that Maxim was cursed with this ability, but he would rather look at it in a very different light.

Koldovstoretz NPC
Name: Nikolai 'Kolya' Ryzhkov
School: Koldovstoretz
Year: 1st
Status: Halfblood
Appearance: Somewhat shorter than his peers, Kolya stands at an even 4'3 and possesses a lean, lithe build. Short dark brown hair covers his head, only just long enough for the occasional strand to obscure bright blue eyes. An assortment of dotted birthmarks trail haphazardly from his chin and down his neck. His general attire outside of the school uniforms borders on the line of scruffy, favoring practicality over fashion.
Personality: Very much a people person, Kolya prefers to be spending time at least in the proximity of others rather than on his own. He has a tendency to ramble or talk to himself to fill any silences, and can be somewhat oblivious in social situations. He can lose focus rather easily, especially in academic pursuits, and seems to always be moving. Despite this, he does his best to try and draw out a smile from those around him and liven up conversations. Though it may not seem like it most of the time, he can be fairly observant.
History: Kolya was born in the midst of a particularly unpleasant winter storm in 2010 to his mother Verinka Ryzhkov in a small town near Kazan. Though his mother was a halfblood witch, the boy never learned much about his father beyond the fact that he was a muggle carpenter. Granted, his mother stated she barely knew the man as it was. It wasn't long before he lost interest in asking about the man, content with the fact that it was unlikely he'd ever meet him.
Growing up, mother and son kept a relatively low profile in both muggle and wizarding communities. Though his mother had been born just around the fall of the Soviet Union, her parents had drilled caution into her as a child herself. Despite the progress Russia saw over the years, she still sought to provide an otherwise mundane life for the two working as a muggle nurse. Every handful of years the two would move to a new town much to Kolya's objections. He grew to hate having to move and leave behind the few friends he'd managed to make in the years since. His objections were noted with sad smile and a few words of reassurance, but nothing more.
Though she would never admit it, he knew his mother held onto some vague hope that he would turn out a squib. Whereas she had little desire to interact with the wizarding world anymore, Kolya had an avid fascination for all things magic. His mother's hope was promptly dashed at age nine. She'd been in the kitchen on a night as normal as any other, prepping ingredients for an otherwise simple supper when a sudden crashing sound from her son's room rang through the apartment. Running to investigate, she found the state of the room in complete disarray. Various toys and books were scattered across the room, the large bookcase that usually housed them overturned and, even more surprisingly, partially upside down. Kolya sat on the bed with his back against the wall, face flushed red even as a wide smile turned to his mother. She came to find out he'd accidentally discovered a spider crawling on his shoulder and startled enough to send the bookcase into the air.
Since the moment he discovered his magic, his mother was fighting a losing battle to try and keep him from attempting to call on it again. Though he'd not managed to recreate any further magic on his own, he remained persistent. Realizing that she wouldn't be able to temper his curiosity, especially not wanting to run the risk within muggle cities, Verinka came to a difficult decision. Contacting Koldovstoretz, boarding the boy on the grounds were discussed.
When the possibility was brought up with him, Kolya was torn between finally getting to explore the wizarding world a little more and leaving his mother behind. She did her best to reassure him that should would be alright and that they would keep in touch as often as they could. And so, with some discussions with the necessary parties and the promise to write, Kolya found himself boarding on school grounds at just under 10 years old. Despite not being able to participate or learn magic himself yet, he kept himself preoccupied with learning as much as he could simply through watching older students out on the grounds.

ReducioKolya is almost always on the move. Seeming to struggle with staying still for long amounts of time, he's always keeping tabs on his surroundings as his attention flits about. It's become apparent over the years that it's hard to catch the boy by surprise. Paired with his diminutive height when compared with his peers, many have come to learn just how hard it can be to catch him unawares. Growing up he would always join his friends in various iterations of muggle sports, though his favorites always trended towards football or games of tag. Though not as physically fast as some of the others, he was always fairly adept at dodging or feinting around them to get away.
When he first came to Koldovstoretz at age 9, he found that he needed to find some sort of outlet for the seemingly boundless energy so as to not annoy any of the school staff. At least on a consistent basis, that is. As such, he's taken up the habit of jogging about the island on school grounds to burn off energy when he's particularly restless. The boy has come to find a sense of relaxation with the practice as he can generally allow his thoughts to clear out for a time. And, like just about any young boy, he's done his best to make the task into some form of game. Be it taking the time to leap between the rocks along the shore of the lake to mapping his own strange, winding path through the small patches of forest, the laps are never quite the same.
As small and nimble as he is, Kolya does his best to use it to his advantage when given the chance. Whether in the various games he's taken to enticing others into, or opportunistically sneaking away from staff when they're distracted, the boy finds a sense of satisfaction in the act. Being able to duck away from undesirable situations has always served the boy well in his short life so far. Despite having endured some forms of teasing for his height, the reality of it has never truly bothered him. As agile as the boy is, his observation certainly help to embellish his elusiveness. A sharp eye has saved his hide many a times. He's grown fairly adept at anticipation when it comes to his movements, years spent observing the people around him and taking note of body movement. He entertains the belief that he's become rather adept at discovering the various tells that other people exhibit from time to time. 428 words
Pending There is a minor mention in your bio that your character was experiencing underaged magic that he was coconsciously controlling as quoted below:Similar to the restrictions we have on player accounts in regards of underaged magic and the instances being non-purposeful, the fact that he was controlling/maintaining it (even if it was not well) would be beyond the scope of a new student.Since the moment he discovered his magic, his mother was fighting a losing battle to try and keep him from attempting to call on it again. The few times he had managed before being caught in the act were only minor instances, and he struggled a little with actually maintaining any of it.

Koldovstoretz NPC
Name: Artyom Jakiv Volodomyr Dmytro Grygoriy Rostyslav Vasyl Kryzhanovskaia
School: Koldovstoretz
Year: Fourth
Status: Pureblood
Appearance: Artyom is definitely androgynous in their appearance. They can often be found wearing makeup and dressing in a mixture of traditionally masculine and traditionally feminine clothes. Their pale features are often relaxed in a carefree grin. Thin lips and deep dark eyes giving inklings to their mischievous personality.
Personality: Artyom is an adrenaline junkie to the max. They actively seek danger at risk to themselves in order to achieve the highest thrills. They enjoy mischief and taking risks at every opportunity, and seem to regard their own safety with callous dismissal.
That said, they are not uncaring, and do take time for the slower, more relaxing moments in life. They enjoy knitting as a hobby, and enjoy knitting warm clothes and blankets for themselves to keep warm in the harsh Russian winters.
Artyom doesn’t particularly identify with the gender binary, and will use any pronouns to describe themselves. In their own words “does it really matter?”
History: The Kryzhanovskaia family are best described as minor Wizarding nobility. Located in Eastern Ukraine. The noble household traditionally were alumni from Durmstrang institute. Despitethis they supported the early notions of Koldovstoretz with financial donations. Although they were never openly outspoken in their support of the academy. They were social chameleons amongst other nobility, and though they didn’t care much for Durmstrang or its practices they still wanted to maintain good relationships with the families associated with it, if just to maintain their position within the wizarding world. When the reign of Stalin came and the Soviet Union encompassed their home they did their best to avoid attention whilst funneling more funds to Koldovstoretz to ensure the wizarding kind survived within Russia and beyond.
That was then however, and nowadays the Kryzhanovskaia family maintain a decent amount of wealth and social standing within the Ukraine at large, however their “nobility” isn’t really recognised in these modern times, at least within the muggle world. Children of the family nowadays are given the choice of attending either Durmstrang or Koldovstoretz. Within the family hierarchy, there are the staunch traditionalists who believe their noble wizarding veins still deserve recognition amongst the communities they frequent. And there are the youngbloods, the more modern wizards who are happy to enjoy the family’s wealth without caring too much about maintaining noble status. Artyom’s generation.
Though assigned male at birth Artyom never really cared if they were doing “boyish” things or “girlish” things. Nor did they care what clothes they wore. They’d act on instinct at all times, doing whatever made them the most excited in the moment. In their early youth they were considered a bit of a directionless “problem child” often accidentally (or intentionally) breaking things in the family manor. Their mother particularly worried about what the future would hold for them. Artyom never really gave the future much thought, they were in the middle amongst nine children. So they never had to worry about inheriting the family legacy. That was someone else’s problem.
Though to call them directionless is not the same as calling them untalented. Artyom showed their knack for magic very early in their life. At age four they shattered a glass chandelier whilst throwing a temper tantrum because their father wouldn’t let them go outside and play in the middle of a blizzard. The chandelier in question was suspended high up on the ballroom ceiling at the time.
Artyom’s family gave them the choice of whether or not to go to Koldovstoretz early on or wait until they were of age. School and learning never appealed much to the young child, so they opted to put it off for as long as possible.
Because of this lack of care to learn and harness their skill with magic, they missed out on being placed at level four when they eventually attended their first year at the Academy. Instead they were placed a level lower in group three. The talent for them to excel was their, but there was no will. So their potential was squandered.
In their early years at the Academy Artyom would receive poor grades in the subjects that did not interest them. Potions, Astronomy, Divination and the like all fell by the wayside, and Artyom would often play truant during these classes and skip them altogether.
Anything involving dangerous spells or high speeds was of tremendous interest to them. And Artyom would excel in these classes particularly. Though during flying lessons they would often be scolded for flying far too close to the Academy’s walls, and more than once smashing straight through a window as well.

Slipping through the shadows became second nature to the girl, moving in and out of rooms quickly and quietly. Rosella's art work had caught the interest of many of the younger students at Koldovstoretz, many of them wanting to touch the art work and add something to it. If she wanted to keep her art work intact, she had to be able to move quickly and quietly while carrying her supplies. In the beginning, the girl had been seen by other students multiple times, something that annoyed her greatly as she thought she was doing a good job at sneaking around. Over time though, she was able to move in and out of the rooms without being noticed, moving on to working her way around the grounds without notice. This was a harder task for the girl, as the grounds were more open with only to occasional trees, building, and tall grass. It only took her a few months, but Rosella was finally able to move around the grounds to paint without being noticed. Rosella's ability to move quickly and quietly, in and out of rooms became extremely useful when she looses track of time while painting or drawing. Many times the girl would forget what she was supposed to be doing, ending up late for classes and meals. This occurred more often then the girl's parents would have hoped for, but it did anyway. Being able to slip in and out of the rooms quickly allowed the girl to enter classes and meals without getting in trouble for being late. If she had been caught for all of the times she had ended up late, her parents would have taken all of the art supplies away for the rest of the year. She had been caught once or twice since she started at Koldovstoretz, but it was always deemed as a simple mistake that wouldn't happen that often. Rosella has used the ability outside of school multiple times as well, mostly to get into other rooms quickly after having talked back to her parents, something she did more often than she should. Staying hidden gave her the ability to push her punishments back a bit until her parents found her, although it never got her completely out of trouble. WC: 400[/reducio] [u]Second Year: Fearless[/u] [reducio]Rosella from a young age had been scared of almost everything, especially after she showed her first signs of magic. The girl didn't want to leave the house, afraid she would do something to get them in trouble. Her parents knew they were going to have to teach her that there was nothing to fear but fear itself. They slowly started to have her participate in different activities that scared her originally. She had to go with her mother to go grocery shopping, she wasn't allowed to sleep with a night-light anymore, and she wasn't allowed to check under the bed for monsters anymore. They did everything they could to prove to the young Rosella that there was nothing to fear. By the time Rosella was starting school, nothing scared the little girl. Even the thought of getting in trouble with her parents didn't scare her as much anymore, so she thought talking back was a good idea sometimes. She would walk around the house without the lights on. If she heard strange noises coming from around the house, she would walk towards them or completely ignore them instead of freezing up in panic or fear. The only time Rosella felt fear after her parents taught her there was nothing to fear, was when she left for Koldovstoretz. The girl would be leaving her parents for a months at a time without seeing them at all except holidays. The girl was afraid that no one was going to like her and she would want to leave. Everything was changing at once, but she in the back of her mind that there was nothing for her to fear in the slightest. By the time Rosella arrived at Koldovstoretz, she had discovered that there really was nothing to fear. If you feared something, you were giving it control. She took control and knew that she could make this a great experience and she would only be miserable if she was afraid the whole time. The girl continued to do activities outside of her comfort zone, sneaking out to paint in the fields at night, sneaking into class late, or sometimes talking back to teachers knowing she would get in trouble for it. Rosella was truly fearless, she told herself that as long as she did not let it control her, she would be able to do almost anything in her life without any issues. The girl was truly fearless. WC: 407[/reducio] [u]Third Year: Perfectionist[/u] [reducio]Rosella had began wanting everything to be from an early age. She has to have everything perfect is due to her mother. Her mother loves to have everything perfect throughout the family home to make it seem as clean as possible. Her mother had learned that from her grandparents, people who thought that everything had to be perfect if you wanted to seem like the perfect family. It is not uncommon for Rosella to assist her mother in cleaning everything a few times a day, even if it does not seem dirty, to make it look like the perfect clean little home. While away at school, Rosella continues to want perfection with the littlest of things. Even while she is consistently late for her classes, she loves having her supplies and room organized. She has a specific spot for all of her art supplies, giving her the ability to grab what she needs with little thought at all. This need for perfection did not only stay with how organized the things around her were, but also to how her drawings and paintings looked. The littlest of mistakes in a painting, causes her to start over because the painting would not be perfect to her, even if it was perfect for someone else. A misplaced line in a drawing makes Rosella redo that portion of the drawing to allow her to make it seem as if there was not a mistake in the first place. Rosella knows that she does not have to make everything perfect, but she believes she will not be able to get anywhere if she does not make her work as perfect as she can get it. The need for perfection did not stay with just how organized she was either, it went into how well she performed spells in classes as well. Rosella finds herself having to have her spells perfect when being performed. Whether it is just practicing during class or participating in a mock duel, she makes sure she says the incantations correctly and the wand movement is on point. She feels that is she does not do these things perfectly the first time, she will not be able to succeed in learning these things in the future. She keeps a small notebook with her, specifically for writing down incantations and wand movements, giving her the chance to go over the spells again at a later date to make sure she is doing everything to perfection. Word Count: 412[/reducio] [u]Fourth Year: Interception[/u] [reducio]Rosella had been working hard to show she was good enough to represent her Quidditch team. To be honest she had never seen herself playing a sport, she had always been more interested in art, but ever since her fellow classmates had been killed she had been trying her hardest to prove her worth. Whenever Ro was not painting something or doing art of any kind, she had begun practicing Quidditch. She had become one of the chasers of the team and was spending as much time as she could practicing the techniques she needed. Multiple hours a week, the Russian girl could be found somewhere around the school grounds practicing. She was not the best Catcher in the world, probably not even the best in the school, but she was getting better with every practice. Sometimes Ro would just have her friends fly around with her and toss a Quaffle and attempt to allow her to grab the ball from them. She never knew when she would actually have another Quidditch game to participate in, so she made sure she focused during team practice as well. Rosella did not want to be the reason that her team lost, because she was not even able to be a catcher correctly. Rosella did not just work on her reflexes while flying either. She would spend time stretching and working on her reflexes because there was no point in working on only her reflexes on the broom if she was not able to have quick reflexes on the ground either. She regretted not attempting Quidditch in the first place to be honest, and was surprised that she had even attempted it in the first place after her classmates deaths. She kind of had a knack for it and enjoyed playing the sport as much as she enjoyed painting, something that would be a surprise to many of her friends. The Russian girl thought she was ready for an actual Quidditch game, she continued to practice for multiple hours a week and stretching when she could. She wanted to prove that all of the practice had payed off and that they would be able to win a game and represent their fallen classmates. The girl's reflexes were at their best and she really believed that her improved skills could help them win. All she needed was for their to be an actual Quidditch match for her to be able to show off her new skills. Koldovstoretz NPC
Name: Oksana Vasilieva
School: Koldovstoretz
Year: Second
Status: Pureblood
Appearance: Standing at 5,4", Oksana is of average height for her age, paired with a nimble demeanour and thin, dainty body. Her hair is of a light brown, almost caramel colour, cascading down her shoulders. She usually straightens her hair by whatever means necessary. Her skin is pale and smooth, a result of countless years of pampering. She has a round, luminous face, with delicate features, catlike eyes and high cheekbones. Oksana is not a stranger to wearing minimal makeup, usually a variety of expensive powders and creams that help her skin stay flawless and blemish-free, and her fashion sense is almost as expensive as her beauty routine. A collection of fashionable, designer garments take up most of the girl's wardrobe, with an affinity towards cowlnecks, two pieces and tweed.

Personality: Oksana has always been a particularly mouldable child, so the advantage of growing up surrounded by privilege turned her into quite the aristocrat, filled with pride for her family, country and magical community. She was taught to be proper, courteous and kind, greeting every guest with a smile and friendly greeting from an early age. With her empathetic and affectionate nature the Russian went through her childhood as top of the social hierarchy, influencing the girl to become more judgemental and haughty. Her pride for her family quickly turned sour, the flaunting of her power becoming a regular occasion. However, recently, after being at Koldovstoretz for quite some time, Oksana is beginning to question her status as a pureblood. This recent self-discovery has given the girl a crafty and devious mindset, always looking for the next opportunity to subtly question the system.
History: The Vasiliev family have always been particularly rooted in Wizarding nobility throughout Europe, with long lines of purity stemming from Russia. Oksana Vasilieva was born on the 6th of September 2009 in St Petersberg, Russia to Katya and Dmitri Vasiliev. There was no heavy snowfall, nor was there any beating sun. It was just an ordinary day however, the day was not ordinary to some. Her mother, Katya, was born into the de Courcillion family with a Russian mother, Anna Astinkova, and a half Russian, half French father Jacques de Courcillion. Her father, Dmitri, is one of the many patriarchs of the Vasiliev family and a powerful member of the Russian Ministry for Magic.

Throughout her early childhood, Oksana had everything she could dream of. Everything she wanted she got, it seemed like nothing was too hard to source for the little girl. Maybe it was the fact that she was an only child, or the fact that the Vasiliev family found pleasure in flaunting their wealth around, but it meant that Oksana went through early childhood living in the lap of luxury. Her parents hired a number of nannies and tutors to support her and look after her whilst her father worked and her mother did... whatever aristocrats did.Her parents influenced Oksana to enroll at Durmstrang when she turned ten, and she very much enjoyed the school, the lesson of Defense quickly becoming a favourite. Within a couple of months of her education, Oksana became a prime candidate for popularity. She spent her time at Durmstrang at the top of the hierarchy, looking down on all the certain students who were below her social class and ability, joining cliques, becoming a stereotypical mean girl. It was inevitable in a girl like Oksana.First Instance of Magic:
At age six, Oksana was waiting for a brand new nanny to arrive. Whilst most of her nannies came and went, not staying around for long, one had stayed longer than any of the others. This nanny, Nastasha, stayed for almost eight months. She was kind, loving, and an amazing teacher who didn't teach conventionally, instead showing the little girl the wonders of the world. Natasha had quit her job quite suddenly, after being called away for a 'family emergency', and Oksana was devastated. Naturally, she wouldn't take well to the next nanny. Sitting on the floor with her Russian books in front of her and a sour look on her face, she watched as the nanny tried to introduce herself. Seemingly fed up with the young girl's disobedience, the woman had picked up one of the books to flick through. However, as soon as it entered her hand it vanished, nowhere to be seen. She hadn't known exactly how she'd caused the book to disappear, but the mischievous grin that appeared on her face was enough evidence to know that her magic had finally set in.
However, behind the scenes, the parading of riches was finally catching up to Dimitri and Katya. They lost money, quick. The wealth passed down throughout the generations had been trickling away to other places for a while now, which meant that it stopped when it reached this generation. They soon became unable to pay for most things in their lives, pulling Oksana out of Durmstrang after only a year of education in a bid to keep the family together. They decided to move east to Perm, cutting ties with all their pureblooded relation to try and hide their financial struggle. Now without a proper school, The couple decided that it was best to send their daughter to Koldovstoretz, the nearest school. Oksana wasn't happy about the decision, but, as an aspiring duellist, took the offer in hopes to strengthen her abilites.

If Oksana's great-grandfather was muggleborn, then there has not been enough pureblood injection to make Oksana a pureblood. Three generations of pureblood injection into a half-blood line (not a muggleborn line) would allow for the resulting great-grandchild to be considered a pureblood, so there would need to be pureblooded relations further back. Muggleborns are also not accepted into Durmstrang, so he would be unable to attend that school.
You have also stated that Oksana had muggle nannies. Why would a pureblood family hire muggles to work for them, noting the danger to the Statute of Secrecy? Similarly, why would she attend a muggle private school if she is in pureblooded society?
With you first instance of magic, changing the weather is too powerful. You can cause a small rainstorm within a room, but a change to the weather to such a degree that a nanny is stranded so far away from the house is too powerful for the accidental magic of a child.

[reducio]Maxim grew up with the mindset of, "somebody has got to lose, and you better pray it isn't you." With that sort of mentality, his mind set very quickly became how to avoid being the looser in any given competition. So to say the least, this skill of foul play isn't just a mannerism that Maxim picked up, but rather a way of living, and playing he was taught.[/reducio]
CHARMER
[reducio]Maxim was always a good looking guy. Most would say that Maxim was cursed with this ability, but he would rather look at it in a very different light.[/reducio][/reducio][/quote]Results:

Perfectionist
[reducio]Kamila does not like being bad at something. If someone is better that her, she will do everything it takes to be better at it than them. Kamila likes to be the best. If she does not do something right Kamila will try harder until she does. 99% is not good enough for her she always aims to be 100% perfect at everything.
Some have even went as far as describing Kamila as perfect. Kamila is not perfect though. Kamila is a perfectionist.
Kamila does not make mistakes. Every spell she casts is absolutely perfect. Kamila never misses a target, and she never pronounces anything wrong. Her wand movements are always correct and precise. In her opinion you will never get anywhere being ordinary you must excel above your competition and become extraordinary. Mistakes are not part of sucess they are a sign that you have not tried hard enough, they are nothing, but a failure and Kamila strives to never be a failure.
Because she is such a perfectionist, Kamila tends to put way too much pressure on herself. She will stay up all night and red through every single book related to the topic before she hands in homework late or with a wrong answer.

Koldovstoretz NPC
Name: Vladislav Liam GuntherNot registered yet. Just had to get this out before the 25th before I ever forget x.x
School: Koldov
Year: 1
Status: Pureblood
Appearance:
Reducio
With smooth black hair- sometimes spiky at times- the boy smiled- with his brown eyes, and slightly crooked lips. He was often seen as the cute one in his family- back when his mom was still alive. Now, he just lives to wear a t-shirt and jeans for the most part. He might still be considered cute- or handsome to some- but not necessarily trying to show that. (ignore the shark outfit in the picture TnT it'll change when he gets older)

Personality:
Reducio
Vlad was normally a boy that was delighted to see everyone- but feels very insecure when talking about himself. When asked personal questions- he flips out and as one of the calming techniques the boy has, is complaining.
History:
Reducio
Almost as if the boy was born outside of Russia, and he was, he acted as if he were a pure country kid from the United States. It was only when he was 8, when he moved to Yekaterinburg, a city near the Ural Mountains- where Koldovstoretz was resided. His first instance of magic was simply when he sat down, and the chair he was sitting in animated itself and moved to the other side of the house and back. Almost as if it were a flicker of a sign of what was inside him. He was extremely delighted with the result- obviously running into the room his dad was in to report back to his dad. "DADDDD! I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU!" He bellowed, a grin upon his face. "THE CHAIR FLEW AND CAME BACK AND IT WAS SO COOL!" (first instance just stated)
The dad had a gentle, southern smile- something you'd see in one of the southern states of the United States. "That's good, son. I'm sure if your mother was here, she'd be proud of you. After all, she's the reason we moved here. May she rest in peace." Vladislav, moaned in sorrow. He knew his mom was from Russia, and upon her death- they moved mainly to be closer to her grave. As she died in her sleep- from Cardiac Arrest- something that took the family by surprise- as the doctor said it must have been a sudden cardiac arrest- as she was diagnosed as healthy- the wish she made to be buried in Russia- was coming true.
It was probably a good thing Vladislav had his dad- and the money his mom left for him- for his schooling. He looked up at his father. "Dad, I want to go. To the school Mom went to. I don't want to go to Hogwarts, or Ilvermony, or Durmstrang- I want Koldovstoretz. Please?" The boy said, practically begging his dad- but he had no control over what his son wanted.
He felt crushed that if he couldn't go to Koldovstoretz, he would lose all further memory of his mother- and that wasn't something he wanted. He knew loss was great, and painful- but escaping it? Hard. But to him, it would be the tiny sliver of not going to Koldov- to take away his privilage to keep his mother's memories- to maybe pass it down through his family- to his friends.
Dying in the middle of sleep was how most people died, and Vlad knew that, but he couldn't accept it. It was a lifetime of pain instilled on him- even if other kids had to go through it too. Almost as if he were being a caring child.
When he turned ten and a half (10 1/2) he got the acceptance letter to Koldov. He was ready to go. It was go time. Well- he still had to get his necessary supplies- but that was obviously a story on it's own.

Just don’t let the good life pass you by ♫♪
School: Koldovstoretz
Year: First
Status: Pureblood
Appearance:
Reducio
Annika has long, straight orange hair with curtain bangs that frame her small face. She’s got ocean blue eyes with long lashes, and thin lips. She stands at 4ft 9”, making her just an inch taller than lots of her peers.

Personality:
Reducio
Annika is quite curious, sometimes getting herself into trouble without fully meaning to. She’s never been the brightest girl, but what she lacks in intelligence she makes up in athleticism and quick-witted thinking, making her excel in sports and other extracurriculars. She’s a big extrovert and making friends comes very easy to her.
History:
Reducio
Her adopted fathers, Viktor and Leonid, took Annika in when she was just a baby. Their good friends Milan and Ol’ga, (her biological parents who had gone to Koldovstoretz with her fathers), had found out they were pregnant at a very bad time. Neither of them wanted to have kids, nor did they have the money. So, when they had Annika, they gave her to Viktor and Leonid as a sign of kindness and their friendship. Unfortunately, their baby didn’t get to see them much as they soon had to move to Brazil not long after she turned one year old as a result of Ol’ga’s niece being admitted to Castelobruxo.
As much as it bored her, she was raised on all wizard culture and nearly every aspect of her life was magical. She was rarely disciplined and almost never punished by her two loving parents. They let her have mostly free reign over her life, apart from basic child safety rules of course. Because she was homeschooled, there weren’t lots of opportunities for social interaction. So, to offer some new opportunities for Annika, her parents signed her up for lots of sports and activities. A Wizards Chess tournament, music lessons, even a Gobstones club. This led her to make lots of new friends, her naturally social exterior coming out in full swing around other people.
However, with lots of new friends also came lots of new people that weren’t so fond of her. Because of her curious and sometimes blunt behavior, she’s made quite a couple enemies. For example, one time during viola lessons she was tasked with a duet with another student. This other student, Irina, had a very prominent mark on her left cheek. “What’s that?” Annika would ask. “Is it a rash? Are you breaking out?”
“No, stupid! It’s a birthmark!” Irina would yell. Annika was young, so she didn’t understand what the problem was or why their teacher would always scold her about proper manners, but she always felt bad about it. She never liked when people weren’t fond of her.
Her first instance of magic came when she was around eight years old. During a pureblood dinner party, she snuck away from her fathers to hang out with some of the other kids. Most of them were around her age, some older.
There were about 4 other kids she found there. Among them, the oldest was a boy named Grigoriy. He was ten years old, with big round glasses, black hair, and and he did not like Annika. He thought she was rude and incompetent, thanks to his parents jaded relationship with her family. So, naturally, when she arrived he began making rude comments and glaring at her. Every time she tried to communicate and make conversation with the other children, Grigoriy would whisper rumors and insults about her and tell them not to talk to her.
Her breaking point was when she finally turned angrily to the boy and scolded him. “Hey! Will you quit it, you big headed oaf?! I don’t know what I did to you, but cut it out!” she yelled. Grigoriy scoffed, and completely ignored her! What a jerk. She lost her temper and before she knew it, the frames of the glasses on his face magically shattered into a million tiny little pieces. He screamed and the glasses fell from his face onto the floor. He began crying and that’s when the adults came over.
Thankfully, Grigoriy wasn’t hurt and no one got so much as a scratch on them. And although her parents were upset with her for making a mess and scaring the boy, they were ecstatic that she finally had her first magical experience.

Koldovstoretz NPC
Name: Lucian Kai Thornslowe
School: Koldovstoretz
Year: 2nd
Status: Wizardborn
Appearance:

At age 12, Lucian is at a height that is taller than most, but not the tallest in his year. He is quite slim, but not frail-looking, as he is actually at a high strength level. He has rounded diamond-shaped dark brown eyes that give off a hint of blue when in the sun, which are sometimes framed by glasses when he is studying. He has a slight smattering of freckles across his cheeks and on his nose. Luician has black hair, usually wavy and slightly untame. He is not what you would call ‘strikingly handsome’, but rather ‘acceptably good looking’.
Personality: Lucian is a quite outgoing boy, always looking for new chapters to add to the story of his life. Before age 12, he had experienced many things and learnt from them, so he can connect with many people, quickly making friends, and he is also the type to take the role of leader in many situations and speak out, though he does get the concept of humiliation and not being able to initiate conversations. Lucian is also something of a people pleaser, unwilling to let anyone down and deeply loyal to his friends. He also prefers to maintain a strong shell in front of others, so they don’t feel pity for him and think him weak. It is only in front of his true friends that he shows his true self. He enjoys many things on his own, like writing fiction, poetry, and listening to music, but he also cherishes the time he has with close friends, for example taking walks around places while talking.
History: Lucian, the middle child of the Thornslowe family, was always the favorite out of the three Thornslowe children: him, his younger brother Kirgan, and his older sister Lenora. The three had similar ages, with only a year of difference between Kirgan and Lenora; Kirgan a first year, Lucian and Lenora both second years, and because of this they had quite a strong bond. Lucian was born in Paris, France, since his father is French and his mother is quarter Russian, the other parts from places from Asia and both Americas.
Lucian grew up in one of the Thornslowe estates, located in France, where he learnt about both the magic and muggle world, in addition to basic studies and learning French, English, and Russian, since it was always his parents’ wish for him and his siblings to go to Koldovstoretz. Much of this was taught at school, but skills like languages were studied because he and his siblings had decided to learn them together. He is acceptably skilled in self-defense and offense (emotionally and physically), as he learnt martial arts for a period of his life before Koldovstoretz.
At age nine, his family moved to Russia in preparation for the childrens’ magical learning. By then, only Lenora had had her first magic, and Lucian felt it in his bones that this was the place he would have his, too. And it was. One night, he and Kirgan had gone out in the dead of night to go explore the snowy terrain, when they stumbled upon a small icy cave, which looked interesting to both Kirgan and Lucian. Deciding to explore, they entered the cave, where Kirgan, age eight at the time, had tripped on a hunk of snow sticking out of the cave floor. The commotion had caused the fragile structure to start to collapse on the two boys, and with an unknown force urging him, he shoved a frightened Kirgan out of the way of the falling ice and snow, taking his place, preparing to feel the frigid impact of the cave, but none came. It was floating in a billion little shards around him, suspended in midair. Realizing this, he quickly dashed out of the cave with his brother just as his concentration broke and the cave came tumbling down. When they reached home, their parents were standing at the door crossly, asking why they were out that late. Then came the explanation (‘we wanted to explore!’) and the part about how Lucian had made the cave stop collapsing for a moment.

Y1 Ability: Charmer
Lucian was always quite charming, said his parents. Maybe it was the way he seemed to be able to be friends with anyone, maybe it was his ‘acceptably good looks’, as described by Lenora, his sister. Or maybe it was his sense of humor, which could probably make even a cat chuckle. During his first year at Koldovstoretz, he got out of many little ditches using this ability, such as how he convinced a professor he just forgot his work at his dormitory and would have it the next time the next class (a few days later), how he got one of the smarter kids in his class to share answers. It wasn’t just his talking skill that made him such a charmer, though. It was how he was loyal to the death for his friends, how he tried to set a good reputation for himself, how he could just smile during an argument and make his opponent struck frozen, confused as to Why the hell is he smiling??? Weren’t we mortal enemies???
Although he does have that ability to make anyone like him, he does try to tone it down when he’s in new environments, to avoid many glances for others and turn it up more when he’s more acquainted with everyone. For example, during his first day at Koldovstoretz:
Lucian was in the main hall of the Koldovstoretz campus, the Izba, everyone in thick blue coats. He looked around at his new classmates, scanning the crowd for potential close friends and enemies. For now, he couldn’t see much of them, but he wove around the crowd, adding some of the names that he caught into his mental contact book, observing some classmates’ habits and some hints of their personality. This was a tactic he used often: first observe them to figure out how to get to them best, then try to interact with them. It was quite useful and efficient, with no time wasted on fruitless icebreakers with basic questions like what’s your favorite color?
Around the group of first years he went, trying to note everyone and not missing anyone. If he could get many people on his side, well, that would only make the years in the future more convenient for him, right? But for now, one close friend would be enough, and his sights closed on a boy around his age. Walking up to him, noting his excited energy, he said in Russian, “Hi! What’s your name? I’m Lucian Thornslowe. Aren’t you so excited to be here?”
After some conversation, the two boys had decided the other was interesting and had become friends, and Lucian knew it was only a matter of time before he had a whole cult of people on his side.

Y2 Ability: Sixth Sense
It was a quiet morning during winter break by North Wind, the Russian estate of the Thornslowes. Lucian had gotten up early, put on his winter coat and boots, and slunk outside to meet with a classmate that just so happened to live nearby. He knew that he should have asked his parents’ permission first, but knowing they would say yes, he had just skipped the permission-asking part. Hopping silently over the floorboards that he knew creaked, he made his way to the kitchen to grab a few snacks, and then to the front door, which he opened and closed cautiously and carefully.
Taking a small path to the place they had decided to meet, he kept a wary eye out for dangerous animals, and although it was unlikely, he picked up a long branch from the ground to use as a weapon. When the path started off in the opposite direction, he took his own way, using a small compass as a means to find his way. Through a small patch of forest he went, until he arrived at the spot they were to meet. To his surprise, Hathran was already there, although he lived farther from the spot than him.
“Hathran!” he called to the other boy. “You’re early!” Hathran looked around and stood up, walking towards Lucian. Hathran was around the same height as him, with deep brown eyes.
“Heyyy,” greeted Hathran. “I almost got spotted by my parents, but all’s good now. You?”
“Oh, nothing,” said Lucian. “I just took some food from the kitchen before leaving.”
“How’s the break going for you?”
“It's good to get away from schoolwork for a bit!” Lucian laughed.
“Exactly!” exclaimed Hathran. “I never anticipated that school might have so much work to do!”
“And isn't even the type that’s hard to do! It isn’t hard, it’s annoying to do, which makes it so much harder!”
“My exact thoughts,” agreed Hathran. He opened his mouth to say something else, when Lucian felt a feeling of being watched.
“Quiet,” he hissed to Hathran. Directing his gaze to where the watchful feeling was coming from, he shouted, “Come out, whoever you are!” The bushes rustled a bit, and his sister, Lenora came out, a bit disgruntled at being found, and said, “How did you know? I was as quiet as a snake, and I was that far away!”
“Maybe you have sixth sense,” suggested Hathran.
Lucian frowned. “Sixth sense? What’s that?”
“I’ll explain later. I probably have it too, since it was only on a hunch that I knew you were here with your friend,” said Lenora.
