FAQ — Questions
There's a thread I wanna RP, and it's occurring during a lesson with a professor.
I've owled the professor, asking if I may godmod them a bit for the plot, but they haven't replied and it's been a while. I really want to get that thread going, though. What am I supposed to do? Thanks!

FAQ — Questions
Please wait for the professor's reply before starting a thread you need godmod permission for. You could change what timeframe your RP happens in (i.e. a study session as opposed to during a lesson) so that you do not have to wait for these permissions.Amelia Garnett wrote: 4 Mar 2025, 15:14 There's a thread I wanna RP, and it's occurring during a lesson with a professor.

FAQ — Questions
One of my RP threads has escalated into a duel. Do we need someone official to moderate it or can we just moderate it ourselves with dice rolls? Or could we just not moderate and write it out like a regular RP?

FAQ — Questions
You can do it however you wish to, do dice rolls if you wish, discuss a preplanned post if you wish, as long as it's not moderated, it's all up to you and your rp partnersEonaria Kabukimono wrote: 5 Mar 2025, 14:42 One of my RP threads has escalated into a duel. Sorry for the double post, I think this is more of a technical question
Am I being picky?
On a character's index card, it says nationality. Nationality is the place you're a legal citizen of, so doesn't that mean everyone's should be something in the Hogwarts area to be able to attend Hogwarts? I'm just wondering cause if the site is saying nationality as in ethnicity, then Eonaria isn't exactly English-

FAQ — Questions
Nationality in some user's case is treated as what country the student hails from, this is why you'll find some students belonging to South Korea, USA or other countries.Eonaria Kabukimono wrote: 5 Mar 2025, 16:58 Sorry for the double post, I think this is more of a technical questionAm I being picky?

for example: A kid born in USA is american, but say they moved to UK at the age of 7, their nationality remains American and their residence is UK or scotland or something close by that comes under hogwarts, basically wherever their family is staying while they attend school.
Their Residence however must must be in UK currently, you can't have current residence at france and attend hogwarts.
If you're looking to course correct your PC's nationality, then it is possible with the process of re-indexing if you have not roleplayed your PC being a citizen of UK.
(If you'd rather wait for a reply from staff, that'd be the more suitable approach. This is from my understanding the current reason as well as process to change things.)

Adding to what Prat said, you would also need to have a reason for moving to UK, for example, parent's job, family living there etc.

It was to give players a modicum of freedom with their backstories. Thankfully most users have not been pedantic or abusive with it. We try to give players concessions where we can.
