Character Backstory:ReducioVera grew up in a Muggle household. Her mother Anna comes from Central Europe and moved to Scotland for work in early 2000s and found an analyst job at a graphic design company. Here she met Vera's father Derek, a Scot through and through. They got married within 2 years of knowing each other and have been living together in Glasgow ever since, occasionally visiting both grandparents and the respective families. Vera has an older brother Matt who's 15 and a younger brother Tobias who's 6.
Upon insistence of both of her parents, Vera, as well as her siblings, grew up in a wide multilingual community in their neighbourhood, often making friends at whatever club or society her parents dragged her to. She was never a general popular kid, but rather one to be "adopted" into a group and make her place there.
Vera has spent a great part of her childhood out and about. Her family living near Glasgow's Darnley made it the perfect place to go out into nature and Vera was all for that since she started walking - first going on hikes with her family, then, when she grew up a little, with her big brother, and eventually exploring wherever on her own, with certain supervision. Her parents never really worried about her little adventures but with Vera not always having her phone on her, they compromised and bought her and her brother a pair of walkie-talkies. They weren't allowed to get out of range and had to keep in touch every half an hour to an hour.
When Vera received her Hogwarts letter, she and her family were ecstatic, but it made Vera and Matt somewhat drift apart ovee the summer. The realisation that they couldn't embark on this adventure together was a heavy one. They reconciled somewhat before Vera's departure though and Vera brings the walkie-talkie around a lot now - a token of having her brother with her at least in some capacity on what's probably the biggest adventure of her life.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioOne time when Vera was 7, her parents brought her their favourite community cook-out. Dressed in one of her mum's poor attempts at sewing a nice blouse (Anna dropped the hobby not long after), Vera was getting picked on by a group of older kids when her parents weren't around. They wouldn't leave her alone and soon Vera started crying. Too distraught to go looking for her parents, Vera headed to their car parked outside of the community centre, hoping to hide away there for a bit. Despite Derek locking the car when they headed in earlier, the doors were unlocked now, so Vera got in. Her parents found her sitting there less than half an hour later, the car now locked again.

Edward Halstead had never mastered the art of laughter. In family portraits it was always particularly evident that her father, whose charm albeit undeniable, struggled to genuinely laugh. It was a painful sight for all that the warmth he once seemed to radiate could now only be found in the occasional disdainful glance, constantly adorned with a mask of indifference.
It was their mother, however, who filled the spaces their father left vacant. Colette Halstead, with her endless patience and love, became the sun around which their small world revolved. She was the one who laughed with them, who sang as she cooked, and who knew just the right words to say when the silence between father and child grew too thick. And yet, she'd never resented him for his distance. She understood, perhaps better than anyone, the quiet burdens he bore.
Amelie had always found herself in the center, a certain bridge between her siblings. It was she who acted as the glue, a role she took upon easily as she watched her mother care for others in the very same way.

"Would you please give it a rest?"
A grumble erupted from the eldest, flopping onto the drawing room sofa with a dramatic sigh. Victor had never been one for the piano, much less the tedious practice that came along with it.
"You are most welcome to leave." Amelie, all of ten years old responded shortly, her interest in entertaining her brother's remarks very little. To him, it was a nuisance, a constant reminder of something he had no interest in. However to small Amelie, it had been a sanctuary. A place where she could lose herself in the songs she longed to master.
With delicate fingers placed back upon the keys, a small twitch of a smile formed. Their silence was then swallowed, accompanied by yet another riled groan. She could feel the frustration building with each misstep, a tight knot in her chest that signaled perhaps he was right. An admission of defeat, arguably, but one that would be forgotten by the morning.
Though just as she reached for the fallboard, an unusual sensation swept across that made her fingers tingle altogether. The piano keys beneath her grasp began to vibrate with a new, surprising hum. One that surely had not felt as her own, much less that matched her skill. It could only be described as if the piano had somehow come to life, gently guiding her once unsure hands to play a tune that was now undeniably beautiful.

Character Backstory: My parents were both in Slytherin when they first met at Hogwarts. They dated for a few years but broke up, my mother married someone else a few years later. She filed for divorce because the relationship was abusive. My dad helped her through her divorce and trauma from the abuse, their love was rekindled and their friendship flourished. They decided to date again. Together they had triplets first. My sister Eridani, my brother Altair, and I are the oldest. Later came my nine-year-old brother Archer and my three-year-old brother Hunter. I also have a seventeen-year-old stepbrother, called Ambrose My dad’s best friend Nicolai and my aunt Eloise are my godparents. They are very caring and helpful. They love to blow me away. For us, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year as it promotes family unity and happiness. I wouldn’t say I love Halloween; Instead, I enjoy the thrill of pulling off such innocuous jokes. Nikolai is my go-to source for supplies as he is always willing to help me with my secret plans. Family First has always been our family's motto. It's the most important thing in our family. Thanks to common experiences, we are resilient and very grateful for the time we have together. We've had a lot of ups and downs. Fights between me and my siblings are very common in our household but I love them dearly.
First Instance of Magic: I had a breakdown when I was three years old over a toy that my brother Altair broke. In a fit of frustration, I accidentally caused the toy to magically repair itself.

ReducioThe Han (韓) surname reads as "kingdom" in hanja. That meaning did not come from nowhere. Family records dating back to the 12th century attest to this. The Han name in wizarding history comes from a line of powerful officials of various forms. It is believed that the particular bloodline has a yearning for government positions. Even in Scotland, where the family has been located since the mid 20th century, many have found themselves working in the ministry.
The Desjardins family has one main value of note and that is tradition. Every practice, every action follows the proper family guidelines. Each summer, in the family mansion located in Provence, they host their lavender ball, a gathering of like purebloods to celebrate their poshness and the elite purity of what is traditional. Even the Floo Network is too newfangled to be connected to the manor. One must get there by broom.
Sybil Desjardins and Phillip Han met at the lavender ball back in 2003 after their seventh year of Beauxbatons and Hogwarts respectively. Their marriage was arranged for the next summer and carried out without issues. Phillip inherited the Aberdeen mansion that same year so that was the natural settling place for the couple.
The first Han Desjardins child was born a years later in 2005. Nicholas Han Desjardins was a handful and, in pureblood terms, an embarrassment. Everything that could be done incorrectly Nicholas did incorrectly. He ran through precious flowerbeds, accidentally offended his grandparents multiple times, and did not listen to his teachers.
The least fortunate out of all of the events was the lack of an event. No first instance of magic came for Nicholas. The parents had begun to worry around age 5 but, by age 7, they were seriously concerned. A squib child was not something that had occurred in either family line. It was better than a non-pureblood child because, at least, this was not their fault. They did not intend to make a magic-less son. Hence, Nicholas could attend family gatherings but he received only looks of pity and none of pride, similarly to his parents.
Leo Han Desjardins was born as a remedy to his older brother. His parents could not have only a squib for a heir. Thankfully, Leo fixed their problem. Hence, he was perfect. His early display of magic left him with prince treatment for the rest of his child. There was nothing he could do that would anger his parents.
Leo took advantage of his privilege less than one might think. Although he knew that he could do no wrong, he had to be better than expected. The expectations were impossibly high but, if he continued to do well in his schooling and with his tutors, he could surprise his parents once again.
First Instance of Magic: Leo's first instance of magic was a cause for celebration in the Jang family. He was nearly three and a half years old and he had been playing with a toy sword on the lawn. His imagination was moving quickly and, at a particularly glorious moment in the fight scene, the sword began to glow for nearly a second. Thankfully, his parents were monitoring him so they were able to see the instance in real time.
I really hope this is all correct. I promise I tried to read through all the documentation as carefully as possible

ReducioRaised in a wealthy family of wizards and witches, Annaliese has been drilled with etiquette since she was young, residing in a large country-side manor with her parents and older brother. She constantly was reminded of her heritage and upholding her family’s image, not that she cared much for that. The Callaway parents believed in self-reliance, both of them more preoccupied with their work for the Ministry or fighting between themselves. This left Annaliese and her older brother, Emery, to their own devices, rarely seeing their parents. Instead, they were raised by nannies and private tutors, only the best of the best for the Callaway children. Annaliese and her brother quickly learned how to entertain themselves from a young age, creating their own games or playing pranks on house-elves or their tutors together. The two of them were very close and although they got in their fair share of arguments, as all siblings do, they quickly made up, only having each other to rely on. As they got older, Emery grew increasingly obsessed with Quidditch and often roped Annaliese into practicing with him. Although she wasn’t as obsessive over it, Annaliese found she quite enjoyed the sport and looked forward to their afternoons of flying around their property, passing a Quaffle back and forth. Their parents also grew their expectations for their children as Annaliese and Emery grew up, accepting nothing less than exceptional in their studies and appearances. The higher standards her mother held her to, the more Annaliese lashed out, determined to test any and all limits. Because of this, Annaliese and her mother frequently got into arguments that quickly turned into screaming matches as both were too stubborn to make peace. Annaliese’s father stayed out of it most times, not home or not caring enough to intervene. Despite her turbulent relationship with her parents, Annaliese still had Emery to rely on, always going to his room after particularly nasty fights where he would do his best to cheer her up or distract her. Once he went away to Hogwarts, Annaliese had a hard time being home by herself, no longer having her older brother there with her. Fights with her parents got worse and she spent more and more time outside flying as it was one of the things that made her feel close to Emery while he was away. She also made friends with her family’s house elves and helped them in the kitchen from time to time to keep herself busy.
First Instance of Magic:
ReducioAnnaliese first showed signs of magic just before her 4th birthday. Emery, who was six at the time, had taken her out to do some flying practice. Both of the young kids were enraptured by the idea of playing Quidditch on a professional team in the future, though Annaliese didn't fully understand what that meant at the time - she just wanted to be like her big brother. After some laps around their estate, Emery managed to convince Annaliese to let him work on his aim as a beater using rocks and the beater bat their parents had gotten him for Christmas. After a few close calls, the inevitable happened: Emery hit a well-aimed rock flying towards Annaliese who wasn't able to get out of the way quick enough. But instead of smashing into her like it was supposed to, the rock seemed to hit an invisible wall and fell to the ground, leaving Annaliese unharmed.

Lily-Rose was born on a cold morning of January 2013. She is the first daughter of Victoria Clarke, a British witch, and Raymond Fournier, a French Muggle. Lily spent her childhood listening to the stories of a magical world. She visited her maternal grandparents often enough to be semi-immerse in it as well. While she did not see her mother practice magic at home regularly, she was always in for a treat at her grandparents' house where they used their wands to resolve the most minor of inconveniences.
It was obviously a shock to Raymond Fournier when he learned of the magical world he thought only existed in books. However, it did not deter him from learning more about it alongside Lily-Rose when she grew older.
Lily attended public Muggle school, at her father's request and her grandparents' dismay, and enjoyed learning and making friends as any other child would, magical or not. After receiving her Hogwarts letter, she was sad to leave the friends she made behind but promised to see them again over her "boarding school's" winter and summer vacation. The excitement and anticipation of finally being a part of her mother's world put all her sad feelings to rest.
Lily-Rose has two younger brothers: Thomas (9) and Emmanuel (6). She knows they are just as excited as she is to join Hogwarts one day.

Lily-Rose's magic manifested early when she was just a toddler. It was never intentional and never got her into trouble. It was a flying doll here, flickering lights there, really, anything to make her mother and grandparents proud.
That is until she reached the age of eight and accidentally, but strongly threw a school bag at an older kid's head for terrifying younger children on the playground. Again, it was not intentional, but it happened while she was angry and she was blamed for the boy's concussion and trip to the nurse.
It was after detention, when her mother and father picked her up from school, that an important conversation ensued about emotional control and magic.

At this point in time, Fearghal can just barely recollect the night he became a dhampir since it was so long ago. Most of his knowledge of the event has come from his parents telling and re-telling the story, though he isn’t entirely sure if all the details are accurate.
He was very small, only six years old, and all he wanted was to go for a walk on the beach by his large family home. He’d been told it was time to sleep and his nanny put him to bed, but Fearghal always believed that he knew best, even at that age. So if his nanny said no, it didn’t particularly matter, because he said yes. Dressed in his pajamas, young Fearghal slipped on his shoes and crept out of the house, heading straight toward the edge of the ocean: his favorite place. It was there that he came upon a stranger also out wandering along the shoreline in the moonlight.
The moment he noticed this individual, Fearghal felt sure that he’d made a mistake. All of a sudden, this spot which was so welcoming in the daylight felt ominous and unsettling to him. But still, his stubborn mindset refused to let him turn back and run home. If he went crying back to his governess, he’d be in trouble and he’d prove her right. So instead, he crouched down and began searching for smooth stones stuck in the sand.
"You shouldn’t be out here all by yourself, you know,” a woman’s voice spoke to him. A chill ran down Fearghal’s spine. He stood straight up and took a step away from her, the incoming wave moving in a little too close and getting his shoes wet.
“...so?” he asked defiantly, his usual tone of voice. “Don’t tell me what to do. I don’t know you.”
She took a step closer and Fearghal continued backing away. He could see her more clearly now, the moonlight catching her dark hair and even darker eyes, black as the night around them.
“Go away.” Tears rapidly formed in the corners of his eyes and began rolling down his face. It didn’t take much to scare Fearghal or make him cry, so in a situation like this where he actually should be scared, he grew very upset very quickly.
"Be calm, child…” the woman said softly.
Fearghal turned and ran, shouting as loudly as he could in the direction of his house. “NANNY CARA! NANNY CARA!”
Despite how fast he was running, Fearghal felt a sharp pain in his neck, and that was the last thing he remembered before waking up in bed the next morning.
When he came to, his parents were relieved, of course, but there was a weird expression on their faces. Though they were glad that their firstborn was alive, it was clear to everyone that their lives–Fearghal’s in particular–would be changed forever. His light blue eyes had turned a dark brown color which held a reddish hue when they caught the light just right. Fearghal could no longer spend an extended amount of time out in the sun without being in pain. The pureblood Akehurst family was also unsure of the social repercussions this would hold, so they did their best to keep Fearghal’s condition under wraps for as long as they could.
Eventually however, word spread about the attack. But rather than something for the family to be embarrassed about, they chose to paint it in the light that their son had overcome this horrific event and was still confident, proud, and strong as ever. While in words, others admired their courage in facing this situation head on, friends of the family still did their best to avoid Fearghal and keep their children away from him, worrying that their own kids might end up the same way.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
As small children, Fearghal and his younger brother Tadhg spent far more time with nannies and governesses than with their parents. Deirdre and Darragh Akehurst were far too busy rubbing elbows with other pureblood families to tend to their own children, and this proved to be their downfall when Fearghal was attacked by a vampire at the age of six.
From that point on, there were no more governesses in the Akehurst home, as the family blamed Nanny Cara, who had been with Fearghal since he was born, for the attack. The only people aside from Fearghal’s parents who ever looked after him were the tutors that came in a few times a week to educate him.
Despite his condition, after the attack and onwards, Fearghal lived an easy life full of all the luxuries the world has to offer. Since they felt guilty for what had happened, his parents saw fit to dote on Fearghal, and they provided him with everything his little heart could desire. This included taking trips all around the world to visit friends, meaning other pureblood families. Fearghal and Tadhg were always in tow, and they got to see wonders that not many children–not even many adults–get to experience.
When his Hogwarts letter came, his entire family was over the moon, though his parents were terrified at the thought of Fearghal being so far away from them. But, they understood the importance of a proper wizard education, so even though it was hard, they packed up Fearghal’s belongings, took him to King’s Cross Station, and wished him well on his journey.
Fearghal was equally nervous to be away from his parents, having practically never been out of eyesight from them for many years. But at the same time, he was excited to begin his journey as a wizard and to see what adventures would lay in store for him.

First Instance of Magic:

Very early on, Fearghal showed signs of magic. But the very first instance was when he was three years old and desperately wanted a chocolate chip cookie from the cookie jar that sat on the top shelf of the cupboard. His parents and nanny simply refused to get him one, so he sat and began pouting on the floor of the pantry. As he sat and cried, the cookie jar seemed to pick itself up and levitate straight off the shelf! And when his nanny realized that the tantrum had ended, she arrived to find an empty cookie jar next to a smiling, no longer crying Fearghal. Though his first instance was nothing all that impressive, his parents absolutely raved over Fearghal's magic use and even now, they'll tell and re-tell the story at dinner parties. How proud they are of their little boy.

Marco had always been a rule follower.
He was a very simple boy. His parents told him things, and he followed them. Ideologies, rules, anything. He just wanted to make them proud. So when he went on a vacation with his family back to Italy, he stayed close with them. At this point, Marco was nine years old. He had just finished fourth grade, and they had decided to visit Italy for summer vacation. They had the time, after all. Marco hadn’t expressed a lot of excitement, not wanting to appear too childish, but he truly was incredibly happy to be going on this trip. He was looking forward to exploring where he was from, and to spending time with his family in a way that wasn’t related to any sort of academics.
Perhaps, how excited he was seemed to jinx him because on the second day of his trip, something truly bizarre had happened to Marco. The full moon shined brightly, providing the night with some sort of source of light. The sky was clear as well, stars dotting as far as the eye could see. It was peaceful, it didn’t seem like anything bad could happen. Marco was watching the sky with a soft look, taking a break from the family celebrations to enjoy the quiet. Even from a very young age, he had preferred silence. It left his mind free of noise, and open to pondering. It wouldn’t be bad to just take a short little walk, would it?
Sneaking out the back of the house they were staying at, Marco trailed towards the river that was near their house. The vacation home they were staying at was truly beautiful, and the scenery around it was just as gorgeous. A patch of trees that opened up to a view of the river near them. Marco loved going there during the day but during the night? It had a completely different vibe. He began to push himself through the trees, and he barely heard the rustling coming from the distance.
Approaching the lake, it was the last thing he saw before he heard growling from afar. Eyes widened, Marco turned to the source and saw two eyes between the leaves of the trees. Stuck. He was stuck in fear. He couldn’t move, even though he knew he was trembling. Marco couldn’t even speak, all that came out was a whimper. And then, like a flash, the being moved. All he remembered from the instance was the sharp teeth and the being’s silhouette shown in front of the moon in above. He also remembered the sharp pain in his arm from the being’s bite, and the noise finally coming out of him- screaming.
It didn’t take long for his family to come out running, the werewolf that had attacked Marco was chased off by a series of screams, spells, and swinging of likely kitchen objects. His mother grabbed him with loud sobs, rushing him inside to quickly patch up his wound with his relatives. Marco remembered a mix of lectures for being outside on his own, and relief that the wolf hadn’t bit somewhere more important. The rest of the vacation after that continued, of course, his family watched Marco like a hawk.
When he returned home, the next full moon seemed to come around before they knew it. Marco remembered that entire day feeling… Off. Like something bad was going to happen, but he didn’t know what. The day went on, and the feeling loomed. It followed Marco like a ghost on his shoulder. But he continued on. Feelings were just feelings, and he was not going to let his anxiety get the better of him. As the day drew to a close and Marco was settling down for bed, he started to feel weird. After that ominous feeling, everything had gone black.
When he woke up, he was suddenly in the basement of his home. Marco was confused, and scared, of course. He hadn’t even realized the restraints on his arms and legs. He looked up, and his father, mother, and a doctor seemed to be around. They looked, frankly, scared for Marco’s condition. He looked down and saw that his clothes were ripped, likely from the transformation that he didn’t recognize. Upon seeing Marco return to his human form, his mother embraced him and released him from his restraints. For someone so inexpressive, Marco doesn’t remember a day before then that he had cried more.
His room with his brother was a mess. Torn up, things thrown everywhere, werewolf claws in the walls and blankets. It had likely been where the transformation had started. Luckily, everyone was okay. They had gotten Marco down to the basement somehow, though he had no recollection.
Shortly after, a magical doctor had determined that the bite on Marco, while it had not killed him, had cursed him with lycanthropy. His parents were able to purchase some wolfsbane, as the doctor warned them that they could not avoid the outbursts on the full moon. Marco was right outside the door as they talked about it, hugging his knees to his chest, terrified that he was a creature now. All because he had broken the rules once to see the outside. Perhaps it had been his fault, perhaps it was because he disobeyed what he was told.
Maybe this all could have been prevented if he had just been a good child.

Character Backstory:

The young boy is apart of the Rinaldi pureblood family, and as such, he was raised with the knowledge of magic from a young age. He and his twin brother, Salvino, were raised from an early age to be talented wizards. And so, that's what Marco decided he would do. He always tried hard. Never asked questions. Did what he was told to. That was the life that Marco knew, and that he was content with.
Things were fairly normal until Marco was around nine years old, and things had taken a turn for the worst. During a family vacation, Marco was bit and turned by a werewolf. For two years, Marco’s family has been dealing with the outbursts that follow from the full moon. Due to this, Marco has been micromanaged at home. Even letting him go to Hogwarts was a fight. But Marco had begged and pleaded to let him go, he needed to know his full potential, even if he was part beast. He had a reputation to uphold, and he didn’t want it to all fall apart because this had happened to him. For an eleven year old, he was fairly sure of what he wanted. At least, he thought he knew what he wanted.
His parents expected them both to be in the same house, and Marco felt the aura of competition descend upon them. They were brothers, one of them would be more influential in their family. Marco hoped that he would be the one to be at the top. After all, he behaved like he was supposed to. So why would his efforts be a loss? This was the mindset Marco entered Hogwarts in. To be the greatest. To be the best at what he was taught to be.
That's what he wanted, right?

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Marco's first instance of magic was relatively simple. He was in his room, studying knowledge that had been provided to him by his tutor earlier that afternoon. But today, he felt relatively stressed. It was hard for him to express this stress, and as young as he was, he didn't know how to handle it all yet. Thus, he sat in his room. Tense, focused, but on the bridge of screaming. Not realizing this his energy was being channeled elsewhere, the boy turned to see one, two, then three of his books floating in the air. Then four, and five. Stunned at this display of magic, he broke concentration, and five heavy books crashed to the ground. His parents and brother rushed in, just in time to see it all fall. After a brief moment of silence, a short smile crossed the boy's face. He had discovered his magic. Finally. He was on his road to greatness.

Born November 22, 2012, Dover, England,
Corius or Coryn (nickname given to Coriolanus by his mother), was a pure-blood wizard raised by his parents on the outskirts of Dover Castle in a simple but cozy family estate in Victoria Park. From an early age, his parents were concerned about his quiet and reserved behavior, While out of sight of his parents, he was always up to some mischief. Although from time to time the little boy would show inexplicable outbursts of anger and lock himself in his room on the third floor. His grandmother associated this behavior with Clair and Neil's relationship. Even so, at his best, Corius had a pleasant and sweet personality with the people around him.
At the age of seven, his grandmother Beatrice adopted him and took him to London to be educated by her. Corius spent the next few years being educated as best he could to get into Hogwarts.

Corius was born the son of Neil Minyard and Clair J. Minyard, a boy with light skin and black hair, his brown eyes reminiscent of those of his grandmother. His father was a wizard descended from a long line of Aurors who eventually retired too soon to live a quiet life in Dover at Clair's request shortly after Corius' birth. Clair was an excellent historian and great with herbology. Although Neil was a great duelist, Clair feared Neil's dangerous job - which motivated her to convince her husband while she was pregnant that it would be better for the family if he got some more bureaucratic and less dangerous position within the section. And so Neil did, asked for a transfer of positions and moved with Clair to Dover where they could educate Corius in a quiet environment.
Corius's early childhood years at Dover were quiet. As a baby, Clair took him out into the countryside for sunlit picnics and ice cream parlors, while his father spent most of his time stuck to piles of documents on his desk in the ministry. Corius grew up surrounded by green fields and beaches; Thanks to the fact that they were the only wizards in the region, he had no company with other children and his mother felt that it was unwise to allow him to play with Muggle children as she tried to keep her family's privacy as much as possible, for the sake of safety. For this reason, Corius used to play alone in his garden or ask his mother to read him a book.

During the summer of 2019, at the age of seven, while playing with violets in the garden, Corius went beyond the grounds of his house to the garden of the neighbors next door, in search of a runaway kitten; But both he and the cat were greeted by a rabid dog, during a nervous peak he ended up throwing the dog on the fence without touching the animal. The episode ended up being caught by his neighbor who had to be obliviated by Neil. This occasion was marked by Clair and Neil as Corius' first accidental magic..

While the days at Dover seemed perfect, this was just the tip of the iceberg that was about to pierce the already shaken structure of the Minyard family. Neil and Clair fought constantly in their room when Corius wasn't around to listen. Neil hid secrets about his work and spent less time athome. Some time after the seventh birthday of Corius, Neil had been chased and attacked by surprise by a vampire, which cost him his life. The loss caused Clair to succumb to grief, Beatrice judged Clair incapable of caring for her grandson Corius was taken by her to London.
.

.
The Rt. Honourable Mrs. Beatrice R. Minyard was an inflexible and very demanding matriarch, attached to tradition. She had been a great journalist in the past and inherited from her late husband the property where she lived with her other grandson: Jacob. She lived a reserved life and barely left her home; although her had an eccentric style that contrasted with her own personality. This was the beginning of the most darkest years of Corius' childhood, who was forbidden by Beatrice to visit her mother. Beatrice claimed that her daughter-in-law, now the widow of the deceased Neil, had succumbed so much to grief that she had not been able to stay sane and that she had gone mad. That it would be better for Corius that he accepted reality and moved on.
.

.
Corius then gradually became close friends with Jacob Nathan Minyard, his uncle's son. Jacob was older and stronger, a fanatic of dueling and Quidditch. His blonde appearance and grandeur reminded him more of the Minyard side than the appearance of Corius - who had inherited the Josten traits from his mother. Jacob seemed to be someone very proud and hardened by life, taught Corius all about the surname he carried:
MINYARD
A once notorious line of Aurors that fell out of favor during the first and second wizarding wars. Legend has it that the Minyards were once great English warriors who ended up expelled from society for witchcraft. But the fact is that many had died heroically and others imprisoned. But real misfortune put an end to the Minyards when his grandfather lost the rest of what was left of the Minyard treasury in debt. There was nothing left but property in Chelsea and a simple amount from the sale of works of art and jewelry that they had been in the possession of the family for generations until then..
Still resentful of what she considered the failure of her older son Neil, Beatrice raised Corius with an iron fist, projecting into his two grandsons, Coriolanus and Jacob, the only hope she had of seeing the name Minyard cleared again.

Character Backstory: Before coming to Hogwarts I was looking getting use to muggle technology as well as wizarding technology. Due to my Mom being muggle born and my father being pure blood my dad was against me using muggle technology but my mom wanted me to learn about it so I had to balance learning about both. In primary school I have gotten straight A's. I always tried harder than I needed.Growing up, I was caught between two very different worlds. My mother, a Muggle-born, was eager for me to experience the wonders of Muggle technology. She believed it would broaden my horizons and prepare me for the challenges of the Wizarding world. My father, a pure-blood, however, was staunchly against it. He saw Muggle technology as a threat to the purity of our bloodline.
To balance my parents' conflicting desires, I found myself juggling both Muggle and Wizarding technologies. While I studied Potions and Charms, I also learned to navigate the intricacies of computers and smartphones. It was a constant struggle to keep up with the demands of both worlds, but I was determined to excel in both.
In primary school, I consistently achieved top marks. Despite my natural intelligence, I always pushed myself to achieve more. I had an insatiable curiosity and a thirst for knowledge that drove me to study relentlessly. However, my focus could be easily derailed by anything that didn't pique my interest. My ADHD often made it difficult for me to concentrate for extended periods.
Despite my intelligence and academic achievements, I often found myself misunderstood. My quiet demeanor could be misleading. Once I warmed up to someone, I could be incredibly talkative and sometimes even annoying. My boundless energy and enthusiasm often left people feeling overwhelmed. But beneath my sometimes chaotic exterior, I was a deeply thoughtful and caring individual.
First Instance of Magic: I was 8, school just go out for the summer. On my walk home there were the these bully's. They always camped out there to pick on people. And I always stood up to them. But this time when I stood up to them they got pissed. Which wasn't a good thing since we were standing on a cliff about 30 meters up. They pushed me off and ran away. Somehow I survived still unsure how myself to be honest.

- The trunk on your character's encyclopedia needs to be its own separate post. Please refer to how to make a trunk, here, to learn more information.STATUS: Pending - Maya, 18 Sept
- Statistics are missing in your application. Please state your character's statistics on this application that mirrors what you have in your character's trunk.
- It seems odd that Alix's father, a Pure-Blood, went to go and marry a Muggle-Born, knowing that muggle influences may be introduced to the household. Was this a surprise to the father? If they really did not muggle influences, then why did he marry a Muggle-Born and not another Pure-Blood or Wizard-Born who would stick to just magic in the household? There seems to be a piece missing here of why he would break Pure-Blood lineage so easily, but also care about his Pure-Blood purity. Please clarify as it is very contradicting.
- Can you explain more of what exactly happened for your character's first instance of accidental magic. Muggle bullies pushed your character off a cliff? How did your character feel? What happened that made them not die from falling off a 30m high cliff? Did he levitate ever so slightly?
