PV Players Snitches and Sweater Weather Closed

Lots of things seemed to happen at the pitch in a short period of time. First, Vee heard a scream and when she instinctively looked at where it came from, she saw Lucian fall from his broom, immediately after she heard a whistle "That's a foul, Hawkins! Penalty lap" . That was such a risky move, was it worth it?

Alma, Ava and Irina managed to grab quaffles, Alma and Ava scored but Irina couldn’t despite her aggressive throwing, instead, the quaffle hit Andre’s gut, and ouch this must hurt.

Occamy Storm was still in the lead but the Awesome team was close! So instead of looking around to see what was happening with other players and her teammates any more, Violet continued to look for the golden snitch again. She really wanted to catch it and be helpful to her team, even though catching the snitch scored less here in this quidditch game..
That was when she thought she heard and saw something small up there, there it was! It was the golden snitch! She smiled to herself but then she noticed Colin seemed to spot it too, but there was no time to waste now, she had to do her best!

xxxA penalty lap? Seriously? One of the things that Maggie absolutely despised about stupid Quidditch was stupid penalty laps, flying around the field as fast as she could to hopefully make up for that lost time. Of course, Maggie was all for the other boy who walked up on the pitch joining. She didn't mind at all, not one bit. In fact, she might've been harboring a little bit of resentment for the fact that Andre hadn't managed to stop all of the quaffles that Occamy Storm had thrown through their goal hoops. What a joke. Sweet boy, sure, but certainly not the person she'd want on a quidditch team.

"Please hop in! Please. God, please," Maggie all but screamed down to Aryaan, wind whipping in her hair and causing her lips to get chapped with the cold air against her spit-slicked lips. Occamy Storm seemed to still be in the lead, but her own team was gaining slowly. From the look of Violet, she'd caught sight of the famed golden snitch that could win them the game. As she continued her flight around the sky, she couldn't help but think that this was the longest penalty lap she'd ever taken.

And trust, she'd taken plenty of stupid penalty laps.

"But then I see you’ve gotten three Quaffles here..." June's face blanched slightly as the newcomer pointed that out. Was... Was that not normal? She thought for a moment, there had only been one quaffle in the box, which she thought was odd, she had to dig out the other two from elsewhere around the pitch. June groaned internally as she realized that Aryaan was right. "Um, yes, we have three quaffles at once. It's, um, it's how we play it in New Zealand." And with that attempt at an excuse, she promptly blew the whistle to signal the start of the round. (OOC: Apparently it's three scrimmages per round and not three quaffles, oops. Well, too late to change it now. Thanks Ming. Feel free to laugh at June in your post.)

Well, get in on the chaser/keeper action Aryaan did indeed. As the quaffles were released, the new keeper streaked across the sky, snatching one of the quaffles as he headed straight towards the opposing team's goal posts. As if they were legilimens, Alma and Violet fell into formation right besides Aryaan, taking one quaffle each before expertly tossing it to their keeper-turned-chaser teammate as he neared the other side of the pitch.

Clair was seemingly stunned that the other team had taken her strategy from earlier in the game. So stunned that any attempts to block Aryaan's expertly aimed shots were useless, as each one soared through unopposed.

June's jaw fell agape. Dang, this kid was good. "Merlin, 30 points for So Good Awesomé Quidditch Team! That makes 60 for them and 50 for Occamy Storm. Come on, it's not over yet!"

June was so distracted by the spectacle that she'd missed Irina flying strangely off-course, her movements sharp and jagged as she flew near Simon's airspace in an attempt to land in a hit or two. Simon was unaffected, however, as he had eyes on one person and one person only (No, not AngelFyre. At least, not in this context).

And that someone was Colin, who was careening through the air as he chased the snitch. Simon sent a bludger flying, but the nimble snake had his eyes locked onto the small gold ball, evading the bludger without even realizing it was flying towards him.

Lucian hit the ground with a thud. June winced as she cried out to him, "Are you alright? Good to carry on?" Clearly the first year was, as he got right back on his broom and took to the skies once more. June smiled and gave a thumbs-up in his direction.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" Colin tipped his broom and dove like a bird of prey as soon as he caught sight of the golden snitch! He knew that Vee would not be too far away, and it was now a race between the two seekers!

So far the quidditch game had been sooo exciting! From the brilliant beginning of the game with Occamy Storm raining goals all over the place to the smashing come back of the Awesomé Quidditch Team now having a slight lead, Colin hardly cared which team won, so long they were all flying and having a grand time! And so long as Clair wasn't too far away!

Colin heard June call out to Luci, asking if he could continue playing or not. Lad must be okay! Colin thought, since he caught sight of his dorm mate not a moment later. Colin lost sight of Ava and Irina, though, so he wasn't sure if they were okay or not. Well, he hadn't heard any screams or crunching of bones, so they must still be in the air! Brutal game, quidditch, but Colin trusted his team and knew they'd do their best.

All he had to do was his best to catch the snitch! And with that one thought in mind, he zoomed ever closer towards his goal! And since the snitch was careening towards Occamy's goals, he'd have to sneak a glance at Clair as he shot by!

I snorted with laughter when June had realised her mistake but that amusement cane right off of my face as the S.G.A.Q.T. scored all three if the buggers! “Merlins beard! Damn it!” I shouted, gritting my teeth. I couldn’t shout at @Clair Fernandez, she did just get battered.

It wasn’t long after that I was brutally and disrespectfully BOOTED off of my broom and sent hurtling to my doom.

Ouch. I stared at my broom. Do I really want to get back on. Shakily, I reached for it. No point backing out now! I got back on the broom and slowly ascended. “Are you alright!” @June Selwyn asked.

“Good ta!” I called back to her, briefly seeing her raise her thumb as I flew back to where I was needed. “COME ON OCCAMY!” I screamed, trying to hype them up. I looked for @Maggie Hawkins and shot daggers at her angrily. “I hope you get booted off of yeh broom too yeh sneaky git!” I yelled with a huff, running a hand through my hair. I took a calm breath. I HAD to hit this.

@Colin McCoire needed to find that snitch and hindering @Violet Grace any way I could could help him! I readied my bat and got the aim for the bludger, sending it in Violet’s direction, biting my lip in concentration. Hopefully it hit!!

xxxPenalty lap be damned, Maggie was unsurprised about their taking the lead. Well, maybe a little surprised, just considering how easily Occamy Storm had taken that initial lead. Aryaan’s joining of the team was proving to be a great positive, and he was already turning the tide of the game in their favor.

Impressive. Maybe Maggie was a little bit jealous, just a tad. Before this kid had wandered onto the pitch she’d been the big star. Well, just more motivation to do better.

”Nice going, newbie! At this rate we might actually win.” Maybe a high hope, considering their slow start, but the points scored and Aryaan’s impressive blocking of the goalposts saw them get a leg up on the competition, which was nothing but impressive. ”Jeez, these penalty laps are so lame!”

Coming off her penalty to survey the damage done to the field, Maggie squinted slightly. Not bad. She gripped the broomstick and started downwards, in search of the quaffle. Maybe she’d keep an eye out for that mythic golden snitch, wherever it may be, buzzing away high over the clouds and evading capture. For the best, perhaps: if Violet was having trouble with catching a glimpse, Colin seemed to be faring worse.

With Maggie on her penalty lap, they were down a chaser; or were they? Their new teammate seemed like a pro. Alma dove in beside Violet and Aryaan, grabbing a quaffle for herself. The new kid seemed to know what he was doing, so she tossed him the quaffle and watched satisfactorily as he scored 30 points for their team.

Amazed and impressed, she flew straight toward him pumping her arms in celebration. She had a big cheesy smile on her face, congratulating him on an awesome job and also somewhat welcoming him to the team. He might not have been there the whole time, but he sure proved himself with those scores. “That was awesome! Nice job!”

She looked at Maggie who seemed rather frustrated with her lap and gave a sympathetic smile and a thumbs up of encouragement. Someone else, the other team’s beater, was heckling something from the ground at her aswell. Really just gibberish that Alma couldn’t really understand from up high, but she could spot trash talk a mile away.

She rolled her eyes. Falling off your broom was frustrating, but you didn’t need to make a scene. She turned back and scanned the seekers for any sign of spotting the snitch.

"Awesome! I’m Aryaan by the way, and normally I play Seeker." The new kid said when he was welcomed into his team and to play in their game. Oh great! Irina thought sarcastically, Two professional players weren't enough! Well...at least if Occamy win, maybe they should change their sports! Yes, is true, Rina was a bad loser and her worse tend to come to surface when she starts to feel her position threatened. They still had the advantage but things were turning to look bad to the Stormies. She rolled her eyes and took a deep breath when she saw Aryaan mounting his broom and heading to his position on the opposite team. It is so hard to be nice sometimes!She thought biting on her tongue to not say anything stupid. "Come on then guys. Let's REALLY get this part started!" He encouraged his team. "Jerk!" Irina muttered not really caring if he had heard her or not.

Soon, June gave them the sign to start the round and the three quaffles were released to the air. Irina saw while the new keeper Alma and Violet got into formation and grabbed all of them, she and Ava couldn't had done nothing to stopped them this time. As the quaffles entered the Occamy's goals giving the advantage to the Awesomé team, Rina saw that Simon was getting ready to aim the bludger again against Colin. Holding tightly on her broom she flew as fast as she could towards the beater, but sadly he had turn on time so she missed him. The good part was, he had also missed Colin! So her friend kept his eyes on the golden snitch and luckily would give them the win. “COME ON OCCAMY!” She heard Luci cheering their team and she felt relief that the boy was okay and ready to get to action again. Sadly, Maggie would also came back to game...Oh well! "LET'S GO OCCAMY!" She yelled supporting her team following Luci's lead, "We have nothing to lose now!" She said now more to herself.
