Here is the list of all staff positions, prefect is a staff position that works on moderating the site OOC. Keep an eye out on announcements for openings if that's something you're interested in! They'll post the description and application

In general, we have some basic information regarding the creation of an encyclopedia and some basic code references. There is also a page where players submit their code donations. Please pay attention to the expectations players might have with their donations. Some do not care what you do with it, some want to be credited, others still just do not want you to re-sell their coding work (that they gave away from free) to other users because that is really shady and they are not okay with that.

In terms of helping people, showing them around, etc. There are no rules against that. It is a bit weird when someone new for a few weeks or a few months is telling new players to specifically message them if they have any questions when they themselves (often) still need guidance, but there is no rule against it. We do have a mentor program that is fully staffed, so it is expected that non mentors are not posing as mentors (we have had an incident where this has happened). Think of it like this - there is no law against helping out a car accident victim. However, there is a law against posing as an ambulance person/police officer and transporting that injured person to the hospital claiming this authority if untrue. Players deserve transparency and honesty.

Hello, is it possible to do an rp in the Magical Menagerie with two people both buying pets? Idea: you go into the shop, meet someone there also looking for a pet, you chat a bit and both get your desired pets, or would that be impractical for application reasons?

It has been a while since I have been on this account, and I never officially made a trunk for myself when I was younger , but I am trying to make it now. I have my stats, but I cannot seem to find the list anywhere that says what spells you gain after graduating, and I want to add them into my trunk. I also can't seem to find the potions list either.

Also, I am trying to explain Kara's two year disappearance (my two year-ish hiatus due to personal issues) through a coma. She does have muggle family through her foster mother, so she stayed at a muggle hospital. However, I want to have Kara go through a memory loss and recovery situation, but kind of lengthen it out over this upcoming school year. I want to know if that is possible or if there is a magical cure for memory loss that would be auto-given to her by the Hospital Wing people, so I just want to know if I need to rewrite Kara's recovery story in my head. If there is a way, I want Kara to try and find a magic cure on her own or with friends, but if that is not possible, I would appreciate knowing before I jump right into things.

Finally, can I post a RP before I get reapproved into the Index, or do I have to wait?

You did have a trunk, it gets deleted when you fall off index. I have owled it to you so you have it for reference. You do not need to make a new trunk. You need to reindex and they will restore your trunk post, then you go through the encyclopedia update to add more stats and spells. (for reference, the list of spells and potions is in the encyclopedia update form here: viewtopic.php?t=3215#spellspotions)

Regarding the memory loss and the coma, please reindex it as soon as possible so you can get direct assistance there: viewtopic.php?t=13033 The idea that your character was in a coma but did not get medical treatment would require a lot of explanation. Even if your character comes from a muggle family, they would have contacts with Hogwarts/magical community to get magical healing for her depending on what it was. The details need to be discussed with index directly.

But just so you're aware, according to your character's birthdate, your character should be a fifth year going into the upcoming school year. That means you've only missed one year of school, not two? And if that's the case, there's about two weeks left to apply for advancement if you want to instead RP a plot that she just missed her exams or only missed one year, but wants to come back to be in the year she should be in : viewtopic.php?t=27806 This would mean you need to reindex asap ofc.

Thank you so much! I decided to take out the coma and memory loss idea for just "Kara needed time away", as a car crash can be quite scary. I am going to go down a new path where Kara resents magic (as bad things have happened ever since she discovered it and went to Hogwarts, won't spew all the details right now though), so I think she would rather stay behind and not take the course to go ahead again, as she seemed quite annoyed with it. Hopefully this new idea will work with Kara just missing a year for personal reasons and not much will be needed.

Also thank you for the letter with my trunk! I'm very glad I don't have to do all that again!!
