A0010 - Xailah 'An iron fist in a velvet glove' — even those who know Xailah Alptraum-Leveret well may be shocked at the many faces she dons in secret. Xailah the nurse, Xailah the stoic, Xailah the consort, Xailah the quiet and bemused observer. She guards her secrets well. Or perhaps others are just not paying attention like she does. The Alptraums are known for one more thing other than their extraordinary wealth after all, and why should she be an exception? Buried in the ice lay bone and treasure long lost, and so it is with Xailah. Beneath that refined veneer, a playful creature shelters. Ah, but she has a reputation to uphold, now who shall she chose to play next? Shall she be the alluring lady, straight-backed and well-mannered, regal and filthy rich to boot? She dons the face well. Yet what lady would ever be seen toiling over the feverish faces of foolhardy first years? What lady would prepare ointments for their recovery? What lady would know how to ease their distress with a soft word spoken? Lady Luck, perhaps, but there is more to this lady than luck. A feline stalks through the night. It is Schrödinger, her beloved cat. How telling is the name she picked, the playful jest — yet here too ambiguity rears its head. S.E.P.W.M.A One of the first questions we often get is 'what does SEPWMA' mean? Is it 'Secretly, Everyone Prefers Waffles More Anyway'? While waffles are pretty neat, the truth is that these letters correspond to the Stats on the front of the card. These stats are (from left to right): Stamina, Evasion, Physique, Wisdom, Magic and Accuracy. So when you hold two cards side-by-side, one facing up, one down, you can always remember which stat is displayed where on the card. Pretty neat, huh? The Owl Owls have always been important for Witches and Wizards. Whether it is to deliver your mail or to keep you company, these loyal animals have yet to be replaced by newfangled muggle technology.
