Beauxbatons NPC

He has a slim frame and sharp features, and carries himself with ease and composure. He typically wears things that are easy to just thrown on and go, but he still takes pride in his style. He's fairly medium in height, though ranges on the taller side.
Reducio
Personality: Maurice is an energetic and lively person, who cares quite a bit what others think of him, but won't change for their opinions. Despite his cool composure and laid-back attitude, he finds many social situations awkward and uncomfortable, and tries to stick with his close friends and family. He isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and enjoys spending time outside, adventuring or just sitting around enjoying the weather. He has a tendency to get sucked into his passions, and may disregard the people in is life to indulge obscure and spontaneous interests.
History:ReducioMaurice was born on a warm spring morning and raised in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the youngest of three older sisters, with a distance of three years from the youngest sister. His mother and father were both muggles, working at a nearby primary school. They struggled with money for most of Maurice's childhood, so with most of his options for toys being hand-me-down Barbies and stuffed animals, he spent a lot of his time outside, interacting with other locals and exploring the town around his home.
Throughout his life, he held a passion for the stars and planets very close to himself, and would spend many hours making models of the solar system and going to the local library to read up on all kinds of space-related subjects. Before receiving his letter to Beauxbatons, he had dreams of finding a career out of these hobbies, and made elaborate plans for once he finished his schooling. He also found interest in music, like his eldest sister who had recently graduated and pursued a small music career with her band as a guitarist.
His first instance of magic occurred when he was out with his sisters climbing a tree in their backyard and he lost his footing on one of the branches. He started to fall down to the ground, but a strange force seemed to catch him before he hit the grass, and gently lowered him down. His sisters were shocked and confused, and at dinner they reported the incident to their parents, who brushed it off as childish imagination.
When he received the letter inviting him to Beauxbatons scrawled over his English homework, his parents could no longer deny the validity of his abilities, and he went to the school for his first year a few weeks later.

Beauxbatons NPC
Name: Judas Crane
School: Beauxbatons
Year: First
Status: Wizardborn
Appearance:
ReducioAt 5'3", Judas stands slightly above many of his peers, though not by much. He has a slender, almost delicate build, with long limbs and a narrow torso, as if you'd stuck the boy into a taffy machine. He prefers to allow his dirty blond hair to grow just long enough to begin to curl, and spends an inordinate amount of time styling his hair to look unintentional and effortless. While most of his features can easily be traced back to the strong genetics of his maternal lineage, the Cranes, his wide, dark gray eyes don't appear on the faces of any of his maternal relatives. His crooked grin is all his mother's though, cocky and toothsome.
Judas takes a lot of pride in his appearance, favoring button-up shirts and slacks, with a particular fondness for bright colors and florals. Clothing should always make a statement, so he takes particular care when choosing what to wear to each event, no matter its importance.
He's spent a lot of time practicing his posture in the mirror, both the straight-backed, poised confidence expected of his family events, and the more approachable, insouciant slouch he tends to adopt around friends and peers.
Personality:
ReducioJudas is both more and less than he appears. He works hard to maintain a carefully crafted persona of cocky confidence, carelessness, and effortless social aptitude. In actuality, it's something that he constantly practices and perfects. For those chosen few who manage to peek behind his synthetic layers, he's still a quite extroverted and charming boy, but far more thoughtful and deliberate in his actions than he'd have you believe. He's also a particularly vain and arrogant boy, a source of hubris that may bode well or ill for him as he ages, depending on your perspective.
He enjoys artistic pursuits, and is an avid painter and musician, with particular fondness for brass instruments. He also has a love for duelling, a love that he inherited from his once professional duellist mother, and wholeheartedly considers duelling to be an art form first and a sport second.
Judas will publicly follow the rules if he thinks that's where the wind is blowing, but he doesn't have much inherent respect for them in general. He was encouraged to make "good trouble" whenever necessary by his mother (as opposed to his great grandmother, who would be eternally grateful should he make no trouble at all) but Judas typically chooses to interpret these two differing directives as "just don't get caught."
History:
ReducioBorn and raised in his great grand aunt's home in Brussels, Belgium, Judas had the benefit of being raised immersed in three languages: French, from his Belgian born great grandmother and great grand aunt, English from his American expatriate mother, and to a lesser extent, Dutch from the surrounding Flemish community. From an early age, he was cognizant of language and the ways in which one has to shift their mindset in order to accurately convey their true meaning from one language to another. As such, he chooses his words carefully, with skillful calculation and a practiced poise.
His mother, an Ilvermorny graduate and former professional duellist, left the U.S. with her grandmother shortly before Judas' birth, opting instead to raise him in her grandmother's country of birth. If Judas has a father alive somewhere on this Earth, none of his maternal relatives have ever been open to speaking of him, and even at eleven Judas as enough tact not to push.
As both the Cranes and the Crécerelles, his great grandmother's and great grand aunt's family, are notable pureblood lines, Judas has been raised under the assumption that he is pureblood as well, though not necessarily born under a socially approved union, what with his father being entirely out of the picture. He is, however, wizardborn, with notable muggle lineage not on his unknown father's side, but rather from his mother herself that he is unaware of.
Spoilers: His grandmother, a squib, was estranged from her pureblood family and married a muggle man, with whom she had multiple children, including Judas' mother Patience. Judas has a wixen cousin through this branch of his family tree, Elias Travers, who he is unaware of. OOC: Permission has been granted by Astra Norrick, who will re-index upon request.
Judas has been heavily raised by his great grandmother and great grand aunt for the past few years, as after his mother left the U.S. and professional duelling behind, she went on to study healing and now works as a doula for the young, wealthy elite of magical Belgium. Though she loves her son, she often prioritizes the care of other people's children over her own, an irony that is lost on both her and Judas, who idolizes her.
His first instance of magic was at age 6, when his mother first started going away for work. Sad and angry that she wasn't there for his bed time routine, he resisted every attempt by the house elves to catch him for bath time, culminating in his shrieks shattering the bathroom mirror and cracking the tub, letting all the water out once they finally managed to catch him.

ReducioAt his core, Judas is just flashy. Maybe it's born of a childish craving for attention, or just an extension of his natural extroverted tendencies, but Judas is at his most confident and secure when he commands the undivided attention of the room. He favors a two-pronged approach: in terms of personality, he is a contemplative and deliberate boy who puts a lot of effort into exuding an image of effortless confidence and impulsivity. He'd prefer to consider it a calculated decision in the safety of his own thoughts, but truthfully there's some element of just a desire to be liked and noticed as well, and the more quiet, bookish tendencies that come naturally to him just aren't as interesting to people as his more public persona tends to be.
Fake something long enough and you can trick yourself, too. The shoes may have been too large when you first bought them, but over time you may find yourself growing into them.
The rumors about his blood status have always been present, if, to his mind, unfounded. Regardless, his lack of a married pureblood parentage has put him at a disadvantage, one that needed to be rectified in order to survive day-to-day Belgian pureblood society. In the court of public opinion, however, it matters very little who you actually are. Rather, who people think you are, and the idea they've built up of you in there minds, carries a substantial amount of weight. People are willing to do rather a lot for people they like, and who have earned their trust. Judas chooses his words carefully to fit his intended audience, and will study them in order to be better able to say whatever it is they want to hear. He makes fast friends this way, as who doesn't love to hear that they're right? There's a subtle art to parroting someone's own opinions back at them without sounding like a sycophant. Judas intends to master this art form.
In terms of appearance, he takes a great measure of pride in how both he dresses and carries himself. 93% of communication is nonverbal, after all. We derive a lot of meaning from the subtle, physical cues of others, and Judas takes that to heart. A vain boy, he is very aware of the Crane looks that he will one day grow into, and isn't afraid to use his friendly face and big gray eyes to his advantage. He dresses to attract attention, whatever that means for the function at hand. In general, there is something in the way he holds himself, in the way he moves, graceful and elegant, and somehow looking both purposeful and effortless. It's something that he's cultivated and practiced, an edge to get ahead.

Name: Élodie Dubois
School: Beauxbatons
Year: 1st
Status: Pureblood
Appearance: Élodie's eyes are a beautiful shade of blue-grey and she possesses longer, blonde, hair that naturally has darker highlights. Her skin is clear and smooth with a slight natural tan, no signs of any blemishes whatsoever. She is approximately 4'6, and weighs around 80 pounds.
Face Claim- Tess HollowayPersonality: When not around her parents, Élodie is more relaxed in her actions and more extroverted. She enjoys going out with friends and loves having attention on her. She is generally very kind, yet when she has a reason to not be, she can be very cold. When around her parents, Élodie is more of a proper young lady who strives for approval.GraphicsReducio
History: Élodie Dubois was born on June 15th to the well-respected Colette and Théo Dubois in France. Born the 3rd child out of 4, Hazel has two older brothers, Éliott (15) and André (13), and one younger sister, Célina (9). Élodie's early years were spent under the watchful eyes of her parents, learning proper etiquette, dancing skills, pureblooded customs, and proper behavior as a pureblooded lady, while her tutor, Adeline, taught her basic muggle skills, such as math, the English and French language, and how to play the piano. Once Élodie had reached the middle part of her childhood, she began to gain more freedom from what she did, as her parents had then moved on to fuss about Célina.
In those middle years of her childhood, Élodie took up dance and art as hobbies, loving to sketch and paint. She also enjoyed going to their estate along the French coast and spending time on the beaches. Élodie also took up reading as a hobby, enjoying all types of novels and books. As she got older, she gained more and more freedom from her parent's eyes, realizing that they favored Célina over her brother and her. With all the attention Célina, soon enough, Élodie began to develop a more outgoing side to her personality, hence learning to play quidditch with her brothers. As time went on Élodie developed almost two separate personalities; the more polite one, which was more up to her parents's standards, and her more outgoing self.
Her first instance of magic happened when she was quite young, 5 years old. Élodie had developed a fear of the dark, and couldn't fall asleep without a nightlight on in her room. After about five minutes of being in complete darkness, the lamp in her room would mysteriously turn on. Her parents had no clue it was her until it had been weeks of the same occurrence.

Beauxbatons NPC
Name: Adrien Theodore Beaumont
School: Beauxbatons
Year: First
Status: Pureblood
Appearance: Adrien is a good-looking boy, he has dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has high cheekbones, which enhance his facial features, and a symmetrical face. Adrien usually dresses very nicely, in more expensive clothes.
Personality: Adrien can be a bit oblivious sometimes. He comes from a pure-blooded family, and has been taught their beliefs all his life. He has never really interacted with muggle-borns. Adrien acts very proper and gentlemanly, as that is how he was taught to behave. Sometimes he is too confident though, he practically brims with it. He is also very thoughtful.
History: Adrien was born on September 15, 2011. His parents, Sébastien and Chloe Beaumont, were extremely pleased with their first and only child. They were determined to raise him in a way that befit his station, that of a young wealthy pure-blood. He was educated through private tutors up until he was old enough to attend Beauxbatons, learning many things such as dancing, literature, fencing, music, ettiquette, and magical history. Adrien eventually learned to draw and paint, and greatly enjoyed art when he was younger. He grew up in a large estate, surrounded by servants and wealth. His parents would often throw balls and parties with other pure-blood families, and attend them as well, so Adrien grew up in the lap of luxury. He never really interacted with muggle-borns, as his family does not approve of them, so he never really thought about them before. His first instance of magic occured when he was seven, he had been dressed very nicely for another party he was going to attend with his parents. On the way out of the carriage, he slipped and fell into a puddle of water. To Adrien's surprise, his suit wasn't wet or muddy! His parents were overjoyed when they realised that this had been his first instance of magic.

This came in useful many times as a youngster - whether to run away when she heard an adult's soft footsteps about to catch her in some act of wrongdoing, or to realise at the last minute that a much-needed prop was absent from the stage during a play - and seemed to carry on into what she proudly named 'the years of double digits'. Perhaps the most prominent, revealing, and - dare I say it - interesting of the times when Cassie seemed to notice something out of the ordinary was at school in Beauxbatons, at the age of twelve. She was talking to one of her friends after both going home for the winter holidays - les vacances d’hiver, as it is in French - and the two had a perfectly normal conversation about what Cassie's holiday had been like. Cassie noticed that her friend did not share any details of her own weeks, but did not comment on it until she noticed that the other girl was not wearing a necklace which Cassie knew she never usually took off. It had been a family heirloom which the girl had been very proud of, and when Cassie questioned her over its absence her flash of insight was rewarded - her friend had fought with her parents over returning to school, and had been keeping it a secret. Without Cassie's sixth sense, it was unlikely the poor girl would ever have shared the burden of guilt she carried. Cassie has never been particularly sure when it was that she started noticing things. An organiser by nature, she has been able to tell when something is missing ever since she was too young to remember - from the moment she cried for the teddy she didn't know had fallen out her cot at the tender age of one. Though many might call the 'niggling feeling' in the back of Cassie's mind whenever she is sure something is wrong a 'nervous habit', or simply say that she is 'being overly anxious', Cassie is certain that she can trust the feeling to tell her when there is something out of place or even missing entirely. She seems to be right as well - after all, her 'niggling feeling' - or, as some may call it, sixth sense - has never failed her yet.[/reducio][reducio]Year Two | Fearless | immunity to fear effects Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin is, it may be said, fearless. Of course, that is not really true - everyone has fears, and Cassie Heather would be the first to admit her own - but the young population of Paris seem to share a romantic streak, and bravery can often be mistranslated into fearlessness, whether as a result of jealousy, admiration, or even simple loyalty. Cassie has always had those things she has been afraid of - desease, rejection and loneliness to name a few - but she also possesses the rare ability to contain these fears, and even face them head on if the need arises. This courage is one of her biggest and most noticable personality traits, and enables her to do most of the things she enjoys, and a few that she does not. In fact, one of the first things you might notice upon meeting the only child of Pierre and Harriet is her outgoing personality: how she doesn't let the world stop her, no matter what. People can do what they like, Cassie often says, but so can I. This rather Gryffindor like world view mostly stems from her courage - and apparent fearlessness - which enables her to do just about anything and everything, from walking up to a random stranger and complimenting them on their new hat, to climbing on a broom and flying a course she has never seen before at a hundred miles an hour. Perhaps the most notable of times when she swallowed fear and gained the lable of 'fearless' was the first time she ever tried broomracing. Cassie Heather had seen from the moment she got onto a broom that she had a knack for flying, even on the rusty school brooms she had to deal with until her parents finally decided she could buy one, but when suddenly faced with obsticals the likes of which she had never seen before, she knew she had to try. The race that ensued was perhaps the most dangerous she has ever taken part in, to this day. All the first years were desperate to prove their worth as a broom racer, and it was a test of not just her sportsmanship but her courage as well. There were plenty of times during that race when she had the opertunity to give up, but Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin just couldn't. The blood was up, and she had gained a sense of adventure that would compell her to take the craziest risks, the strangest dares, the most impossible trials. This sense of adventure, and thrill of taking risks, she would never lose.[/reducio][reducio]Year Two | The Muggle Condition | +3 acc on non-magical actions Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin was a muggle-born. Although it was hard to tell most people's blood statuses just from looking at them - unless they were haughty purebloods, it wasn't something people usually told others at first meeting - but it would only take a few conversations with Cassie for another to at least have the suspicion. Whether it was her constant grumbles about learning some 'stupid' spells ("When am I ever going to need to turn a flowerpot into a bird in real life?!"), her undisguised amazement whenever she encountered something magical she'd never seen before ("Hold up! You mean dragons actually exist?!"), or simply her confused expression when someone dropped a word she'd never heard before into a conversation ("Sorry, what? What's a 'bowtruckle'?"), everyone would understand sooner or later. Cassie didn't mind. In fact, Cassie Heather was quite proud of her heritage. She was proud of her parents, and she liked being different. It was annoying, sometimes, sure - like when she had to pay extra attention to some lessons because she was missing information that wizarding-born children would have - but she was proud. Cassie Heather had only been at Beauxbatons for a few weeks when an older student laughed at her failed (and quite pathetic, really) attempt at a charm, calling her a 'mudblood'. This word was new to her, and when Cassie enquired as to its meaning (with flushed cheeks, as she was sure from the tone that it wasn't anything good), she was told mockingly that it was 'a word to describe people like you, who don't deserve what they've been given'. This explanation did not bode well for Cassie, so she next asked one of her friends what the word meant. Needless to say, she received a fuller and more sympathetic definition this time. The next day, she decided that revenge was necessary. She took a Muggle pen, poked a hole in it with the sharp end of her (also Muggle) compass, and dropped it into the older student's bag. The ink leaked everywhere and covered all of his school books, completely drenching them with black. Although the student could never prove it, he knew it was Cassie, and never called her a 'mudblood' again. After that incident, Cassie decided two things. Firstly, that the word 'mudblood' would no longer be an insult to her. She would take it just as she would take any other meaningless comment on her appearance or possessions - with indifference and the knowledge that whoever spoke it was not worth her time. There were just three things which Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin could not stand being insulted about, and her blood status would not be one of them. She would stand strong, just as he parents always told her to. Secondly, Cassie made up her mind to be as 'obviously muggleborn' as she could be. Her 'skill' with just about any spell or charm other than counter-spells was essentially non-existant (or, at least, that was how Cassie viewed it: a 'spell' only ever seemed to work for her when she did it accidentally) and she vowed to rely on her magical power as little as she could. After all, she'd managed it for this long, hadn't she? She signed up for broomracing and then quidditch, both of which were games of physical and mental prowess rather than magical. She used a pen instead of a quill whenever she could get away with it. Once, she even asked her parents to send her an old travel CD player so that she and her friends could take it apart and she could show them what a 'battery' was. All this, just to be different. Cassie Heather sure had a long journey ahead of her if she was going to make her idea of 'different' acceptable in everyone else's eyes.[/reducio][reducio]Year Four | Impartial | immunity to aesthetic effects Whenever Cassie met people who went to a wizarding school other than Beauxbatons, she noticed that they all seemed to share the same misconceptions about her school. Beauxbatons was painted as a school for the elite, where every student was graceful, pretty, and polite. That wasn't true! Or was it? Because, as much as Cassie didn't want to admit it, there were a lot of pretty people at Beauxbatons. Maybe it was a fluke. Maybe it was because of the reputation the school had accidentally built up. Maybe it was because Beauxbatons students were encouraged to take pride in their appearance and none of the other schools really cared that much. Either way, Cassie enjoyed subverting people's expectations. She herself was entirely average in the looks department, and - just as she was told to do - took pride in that. Makeup was itchy so she never wore it. Skirts were impractical so she never wore them. In fact, Cassie's fashion sense only went as far as finding the funniest thing written on a t-shirt and wearing the same pair of jeans multiple days in a row. It was probably because of this lack of care over her own looks that Cassie found it difficult to categorise other people's. Of course, there were some people who fell squarely into the categories of either beautiful or ugly. A vague standard of prettiness was something that everyone learnt as a child - it was engraved into you as you grew up that some people were pretty, and some people were not. But most people, in Cassie's experience, lay in between. And even for those who fit into their boxes, that didn't mean anything to Cassie. Why should a person's appearance change your perception of them, when it's what's on the inside that matters? Love was another thing that Cassie found confusing. She had friends who crushed on celebrities, or on people who they'd seen in the corridor but never spoken to. Cassie, though, didn't understand how you could just look at someone and decide that they were 'hot', and see them as a possible romantic partner. It was all a bit silly. How did facial symmetry and a particular type of hair make a person desirable? Sometimes, Cassie would find herself stuck on the outside while her friends had conversations about the people they crushed on, or how hot the new kid was. She didn't entirely mind this - after all, she was clearly correct in not judging people by appearances - but sometimes ended up wondering why it happened. Was crushing as much of a big deal as some people made it out to be? Did your appearance really matter? What- But then she would force herself to stop. There was no point going down a rabbit hole of trying to work out the reasons behind her classmates' actions. Maybe people could be pretty, but they were never attractive to Cassie. She was just impartial to all that nonsense.[/reducio][reducio]Year Five | Obnoxiously Strong | +15% strength In Cassie's very-almost-fifteen years on this Earth, she had gained a certain wisdom: people, it turns out, can be very strange. Raphael Aveline, aka the quiet kid on the broomracing team, was one of those people, and it surprised Cassie just how well they got along. Usually, the girl tended to surround herself with people like her: namely, people who talk a lot. But she'd started hanging out with Raphael what seemed like years ago, and somehow her own chatter combined with his lack of it produced a comfortable middle ground. And anyway, there wasn't much time to talk when you were racing 50 feet in the air, or listening to football commentary on the radio, or lining up to take the perfect shot. Raphael and Cassie had initially bonded over a shared interest: sport. Cassie hadn't really expected them to have anything else in common, but as time went on she found herself doing more and more things with Raphael. They weren't best friends by any sense of the word, but they had a sort of camaraderie that came from spending unimportant moments together. Eating lunch. Class projects. And, in the last year or so, working out. It had been Raphael's idea, of course. Cassie had always thought of working out as incredibly boring, but when Raphael brought a stupid amount of weight-training equipment with him to Beauxbatons and declared that he needed to be stronger to be a better broomracer, Cassie wasn't going to let him beat her. They may be friends, but that didn't mean that Cassie was okay with the boy thrashing her in every broom race just because he'd put the effort in to get some muscles. So, Cassie had joined him in his quest for strength, and it really wasn't as boring as she'd expected. Not only was it fun working out with a friend, but she and Raphael managed to find ways to mix it up beyond what you'd find at a regular Muggle gym. Weight-lifting looked boring when Cassie saw it on the TV, but adding a sense of competition to it made Cassie far more excited to keep trying more, and more, and more. Whether Raphael was interested in beating Cassie was debatable, but Cassie was certainly interested in beating him, and even if she couldn't feel the benefits of such work straight away, over time she couldn't help but notice the muscles that were slowly making their appearance whenever she looked in the mirror. And it wasn't just weights. Pull-ups were something that Cassie had always thought looked fun, but she had never really been sure how you were supposed to do them. They looked very serious when all the practise you had was monkey bars at primary school. Luckily for Cassie, Raphael didn't really know what he was doing either, which made it easier for her to just have a go and see what happened. Still, regular pullups were fun, but what was more exciting was pullups in unexpected places. Doorframes, her broom, even the quidditch hoops, all bars became equipment in Cassie's eyes. And the thrill of drangling so far up you'd break both your legs if you fell only added to Cassie's enjoyment (although she and Raphael did suspend a bedsheet beneath them between their brooms, so they didn't actually crash down to earth when they fell). Raphael and Cassie tried out and practised plenty of other excerises too, and Cassie had to admit that she hadn't thought many of them were possible without access to the sort of sym equipment that required electricity. She was a sporty sort of girl, yes, but her sports had always been limited to football, broomracing, and quidditch. Working out was something new to her, and she'd always assumed that you needed a gym membership to get started. But that wasn't true at all. Thick elastic bands - the proper name for them was 'resistance bands', but whenever she used them Cassie had to fight the urge to just flick them at Raphael like an elastic band at school - could do pretty much everything that a machine could in Cassie's eyes, and even in the magical halls of Beauxbatons Cassie was able to get fitter, and stronger. The change was more noticable to other people than to Cassie herself. Even when she went home for Christmas, her relatives were amazed at how different she looked, but Cassie passed it off as the normal sort of "haven't you grown?" that she faced every time she returned home. She doubted that her strength had increased as rapidly as her parents and grandparents thought it had, but it had definitely increased. The weights she lifted got heavier. She could do more and more reps. And, slowly but surely, her strength became obvious. And it was all thanks, surprisingly enough, to the quiet boy from the broomracing team.[/reducio]
Abilities: Calming Presence [442 words]
[reducio]In his neighborhood in Saint Cloud, Quentin was an obvious target for bullies. His dad spoke funny and didn't seem to know much about Parisian culture. Some eviler bullies would even mention his dead mom. To make it worse, Quentin seemed to take after his dad, sometimes copying his dad's Cajun accent or talking with too much emotion. To make it even worse, Quentin's grandmother often took him to plays and ballets, and once even enrolled him in ballet (which he, unfortunately, excelled at and enjoyed). He was just too silly not to make fun of.
At first, Quentin was unsure how to deal with the bullies. He often didn't understand what they were trying to make of fun, and his questioning of their remarks led them to make fun of him even harder. He was often referred to as the "pauvre americain" (poor American), even though he had never been to his father's home. At age seven, the bullying was at its peak, and Quentin asked his father for advice. Eloi told his son that bullies want to make you feel bad because they feel bad about themselves, and the whole process makes them feel better. But if you don't feel bad, and you let the bullies know that, they can't get their satisfaction. Eloi gave Quentin the English expression, "kill 'em with kindness."
Quentin excelled at kindness. He laughed at every insult, sincerely thanking his bullies for their kind words. The worse the bully, the more unexpected kind acts Quentin would do for them. One time, a boy named Marcel dunked his head in the toilet. As Quentin came up for air, he whooped and asked Marcel if they could go again—Marcel was confused by the other boy's sincerity. Even more perplexing, Quentin then began to explain to Marcel the concept of a water park—Marcel tried to explain that he had been to one before but Quentin didn't seem to be listening. Quentin explained that a swirly was a poor imitation of the real thing. He offered to take Marcel to a nearby water park; Eloi had bought an extra ticket. Marcel was confused but accepted, and enjoyed a perfectly wonderful day with Quentin and Eloi. He no longer could bring himself to dunk anyone's head in a toilet.
He has a way of detecting exactly what someone would need to make them feel better—the playground tormenters became his friends. Everyone feels at ease around Quentin. He wears his feelings and motives on his sleeve—and they're never too complicated. People are able to trust his intentions, and he never seems to falter in his calm demeanor in a difficult situation.[/reducio]
Muggle Condition application (word count: 429)
[reducio]While Quentin's grandmother tried to instill in him all the principles that make a good high-class wizard, Quentin's muggle father kept him grounded. At his father's house, Quentin has access to the muggle internet, and his father spends a lot of their quality time teaching Quentin about his home in Louisiana. One of Quentin's dreams is to visit the U.S. and see the gaters and catfish and New Orleans history that his father loves to talk to him about. It didn't help his grandmother's cause that he went to a muggle primary school before Beauxbatons, where he was about to further his muggle tendencies. While he introduced French kids to his hodge-podge knowledge of U.S. culture, they introduced him to memes, video games, TikTok, and YouTube. He was fully immersed in muggle culture, and while being a wizard sounded super cool, it didn't feel tangible or immediate to Quentin.
When he did enter the hallowed halls of Beauxbatons, his grandmother's tutelage did help so that the wizarding world didn't completely gobsmack him, but he still held onto his muggle culture. He taught other students about the internet, even though they couldn't use it. He shared stories about his father's Cajun past, which felt magical with his animated storytelling. So, of course, he made fast friends with other muggle-borns and half-bloods who wanted to straddle both worlds.
Quentin's biggest hobby is none other than watching American wrestling. His father took him through all the historical matches, the backlog of games from his father's childhood, and now they watch the newest editions together. They practiced the moves together painstakingly until Quentin felt he could pin his own father. Going to boarding school made this all difficult: Quentin's father would send him owls with play-by-plays of the moves used in each match. It was difficult to read his father's chicken scratch, but Quentin still practiced the moves with anyone in the dorms who would participate. His friends loved it—though Quentin would always win because of his years of practice and size.
After his first year at Beauxbatons, Quentin's grandmother thought the allure of the magical world would cut this silly muggle obsession and wrestling habit out, but it only made it worse. To her horror, Quentin spent much of his summer vacation contemplating how to combine brooms and wrestling or wands and wrestling or magical creatures and wrestling. He found his muggle-born friends online, and they share their own brand wizarding memes in the group chat. Quentin doesn't understand the division between the magical and muggle worlds. For him, both belong together.[/reducio]
Fearless [word count: 406]
[reducio]
Many great heroes have been described as fearless—usually because they are recklessly courageous or nobly righteous in the face of certain death. Quentin Gagné is neither. Quentin is just too dim to see the danger coming or to reflect on it later. He is fearless in the sense that he lacks the ability to evaluate which situations should be feared.
It might stem from the fact that one of his favorite pastimes is watching American professional wrestling. In this "sport," the injuries are staged and rarely stay for long. In Quentin's naive world, everything works out in the end, and the good guys always win the belt eventually. It's shaped his outlook on life. When he became a beater for Beauxbaton's quidditch team, he saw the bludgers bloodying players, some in the hospital wing for weeks, others falling from the sky and crumpling on the ground, but he was never deterred. Instead, he saw the failures as a sign that those players had upset the universe in some way—they were the "bad guys" (at least for that day)—and so they lost the battle. Quentin sees himself as the main character of a great epic. Sure there might be a few missteps here and there, growing pains for a budding hero, but he'll make it to the last round victorious.
This all isn't something that he would ever utter out loud, not even to himself. His fearlessness and confidence stem from the subconscious. Ignorance is fearless bliss. Quentin will be the first one to volunteer to test a new and dangerous physical activity. He is always thinking about how to combine professional wrestling and quidditch or how magic could be a physical sport. But he is also a kind person, and he would never shy away from helping someone in danger. People may taunt or threaten him, but these comments are easily shooed away.
Quentin's fearlessness also makes coming to Hogwarts so exciting. That school always seems to have something happening. Many of his closest friends don't share the same fearlessness, and so they don't usually come to Hogwarts events. But the school's sense of lawlessness and chaos is just a new challenge for Quentin to overcome. Attacks on dances, Forbidden Forest shenanigans, the Hexiwizard Tournament—all of it means that Quentin might finally be able to prove himself. He hopes to have his own death-defying tale to share one day, and it may just happen in Britain.

Name: Charlottà Dyràs
School: Beauxbatons
Blood Status: Pureblood
Year: first
Appearance: Charlottà has blonde hair with small curls every here and there. She has tanned skin, and always has a broad grin. Her eye color is dark blue, with a smiling mouth and long arms and legs.
Personality: She is pretty nice is is extremely caring. She is a little shy when meeting new people and doesn’t really like new places. She prefers to be with her best friends, but she is pretty much ok if you go over and talk to her as a stranger.
History: She had a loving family, all of pure bloods. Some of her ancestors had hated muggle and half bloods, because their blood weren’t as pure as ever. However, the Dyràs family tradition changed within the past few years. Instead of hating witches and wizards whose blood weren’t pure, her parents supported muggle rights, and the Dyràs family had rather turned into a blood traitor family.
Her parents christened her Charlottà Dyràs , meaning petite. It did seem as though she had lived up to her name, as she was a small and trim figure with elegant long arms. She got her dark eyes from her father, who always had a deep expression on his face, as though thinking of something. On the other hand, she got literally every single appearance of her from her mother, and they looked almost identical. Her mother, having tanned skin as well, had about the same color as Charlottà’s.
Her parents had always called her ‘mon chéri’, meaning ‘my darling’ in French. Being the one and only child of Anna and Aimé Dyràs, she was cared for very much and was always loved. However, the love of her parents did not give her any influence. She did not go spoiled as some children would, what with her parents doing whatever they wanted for their daughter, not thinking of any consequences. However, Charlottà was nice as she ever was, like her parents.
Her first instance of magic came at the age of five. She was drinking a bowl of warm soup when it accidentally tipped over. Charlottà immediately reached out to clean up the mess, but suddenly she realised that the stain had gone. Puzzled, she asked her mother and father, who nodded. “This is your magic, mon chéri,” her father said kindly. It looked like her father was really happy for her, and so was her mother. At that time, they both smiled and grinned at each other, leading Charlottà to politely wait for her parents to finish.

Charlottà is a beautiful girl with her blonde heir trickling through her elegant shoulders; lovely dark blue eyes that looks like the heart of a river, with its gentle flows and washes beneath the bright blue sky. With her tremendously beautiful looks, it may be hard to take your eyes off her. Its wonderful appearance flickers through the tanned, soft milky skin of hers. Her tanned skin, mainly caused by her cross-legged decorous look, as though she was a ballet dancer.
The look of her delicate lips curling together to form a lovely smile was amazing. With her graceful hair curls decorating the top edge of her prepossessing face. Her arms and legs are quite strong, and looking extremely elegant, giving her a look of an alluring young lady, her kind eyes looking like they were gazing at you, smiling sweetly and gracefully.
Charlottà’s state of immense beauty is made by her equally gorgeous-looking aunt Amèlie, who always has beautiful blue eyes swarming within the fair and tanned skin of hers. She always protected her soft, precious skin carefully and always tended with great care. It did seem as though Charlottà is starting to follow her dearest aunt’s ways, as her skin had started to look more similar to her aunt, Amèlie’s. Having Charlottà take her share of beauty from her gigantic family was indeed doing her a good influence because it made her feel more important, which she, as an introvert, did not usually feel like so.
When Charlottà is tired, her appearance would surprisingly look much more dreamier. Charlottà, who sometimes daydreams, as a result making her look all dreamy and dragged into another world. When she looks dreamy, her eyes then flop down, still looking quite so elegantly into the place where he was staring at. Her eyebrows will then sloop down, making him look like he was almost sleeping. But in fact, she would not be. She would only be daydreaming, carried away into her many thoughts, letting her imagination run wild with her.
Most good-looking people get their good looks at their youth, when they knew absolutely nothing about their eye-blinding beauty. With Charlottà’s height as not tall nor short, her aunt Amèlie slightly taller than average. Not that it matters to such a gorgeously beautiful woman, but it may be possible. It may also be true that Charlottà is perhaps thinner than average, despite her strong, muscly arms.

- We need an image for your character. Remember, you will also need to post this image to clear indicate you are using this NPC when posting as them also. This can be as simple as what you would use for an avatar or as involved as a fancy banner. We just need something.
- Unless you are staying back a year, your stat total should be 40 rather than 35 because you would be getting next year's stats now. We will be graduating your character in a few weeks and we are trying to spread out the workload.

Name: Jamie Carville
School: Beauxbatons
Year: First
Status: Wizardborn
Appearance:

Jamie is quite tall for her age, at 1.60m. She has a slender figure that she likes to keep in shape is quite athletic. She has black hair and brown eyes and a face that is not easily readable, at least she hopes it isn't. She likes to wear quite a lot of rings but doesn't often wear necklaces or earrings. She also likes clothes that look stylish and help compliment her facial features.
Personality:
Jamie is someone who is a hardworking and dedicated person, and she will do anything to achieve her goals. If that's manipulating people or lying she'll do it. One thing she would never do though is cause severe bodily harm to another, she's not crazy. She is fiercely loyal to the people who prove their worth to her though and will fight for them to the end of the world. But if you cross her you will regret it. She's also very confident and can be quite deceiving due to her nature of still being nice to people.
History:
Jamie was born on the 12 of march 2012 in a city called Bergerac in France, her parents, Lu and Marc Carville, had decided to only have one child and thus Jamie never had any siblings. Not that she really minded, it meant that she got more attention and care from her parents. She was raised in the same city her entire 11 years of life and was taught to be the best, which resulted in her doing everything in her power to achieve what she wanted to, not being scared to break any rules or use people if she absolutely needed to, the later she would try to avoid but if needs must. One thing she had been taught though was to never cause anybody bodily harm, and that was something she stuck to.
She only hurt people if they initiated it or if they hurt someone she cared for. It was well known that you didn't mess with the people she liked as it would only get you into trouble with her and she was know for thinking things through so she wouldn't get into trouble but you would.
During her first education years her mom would teach her a lot aside from the standard education she would get from tutors, they weren't what you would call rich but they had quite a bit of money and thus she often got the best. Which meant that she would only strife for greatness and nothing less, often leading to endless nights of studying and solving problems as to not fail.
She was sitting at the table with her dad going over some practice problems when a feather arrived, sitting right on top of the sheet of paper they were writing on and started scribbling away. She immediately knew what was going on as both of her parents had attended Beauxbatons and had told her countless stories of their messages, achievements and adventures. With a proud look her father called in her mom and they all started getting her things together for her to attend the school.
Her first instance of magic was when she was about 7, she had been studying for ages and wanted to take a quick brake and get something to drink. As she was getting a glass out of the cupboard she accidentally knocked her dads favourite cup off of the shelf, reacting instantly she tried reaching for the cup and missed, immediately wishing the cup would bounce and not break she saw if crash to the floor. Or at least it would have crashed if it had hit the floor, instead it seemed to hover above it and slowly lower itself down. Having heard her parents talk about their magic and of course seen them do their magic she knew that she was a witch as well, and went to go and tell them. (WC: 480)

Jamie strived to be the best at everything, this meant that when she set her mind to something she would do it until she got it right and perfect. One of the things she had set her mind to was becoming very nimble, she would do drills with her dad to try and improve her reflexes and she would try to practice everyday by having someone throw something at her and trying to dodge it. It began with her handing her mom and dad a small soft ball each, which she told them to throw at her. They did, and they continued to do so under her request until she could evade them without too much effort. That escalated to her asking them to throw them at her without prior warning.
This proved to be more tricky, and she would get pelted with soft balls all the time. But her parents, who encouraged her to strive for greatness and to not stop until she achieved her goals, encouraged her to keep going. Although she didn't necessarily need their encouragement as she was set on doing this, but it was always nice to hear them telling her to not give up.
After a while she was able to dodge about half of them, mostly because she could seen them coming from the corners of her eyes. The ones that were launched from behind her she never was quite able to dodge, if she did it was mostly by accident and she didn't even know she'd been a target until it whizzed passed her.
So she kept training, and after even more time any time she could spot something a ball coming towards her trying to hit her she could dodge it. It had even become a second nature, that she wouldn't even realise she'd dodge it until she moved out of the way to let the ball pass her by.
Once she'd hit this point, she'd asked her parents to try launching other things at her, just to see if that went as well. They started throwing other soft stuff, but bigger or smaller to see if she could still dodge those. The bigger things she could see easier, but dodge harder due to the size. The smaller things on the other hand were easier to dodge but harder to see. But even those after a while became easier to see and easier to dodge.
Having been practising dodging for so long it had become second nature to her, and even now she had become a lot harder to hit than people might expect.

Beauxbatons NPC
Name:Peter Smith
School: Beauxbatons
Year:First
Blood Status:Half-Blood
Appearance:Peter is a tall bold green eyed 11 year old boy ~ June 22, 2012 ~ with wavy light brown hair and light brown skin.
Personality: Peter has a carefree happy-go-lucky nurture and nature. He is amazingly thoughtful and kind, with a faithful perspective and nevertheless curious and calm as a newborn kitten.
History: In May 2023, before Brookline or Peter was given an acceptance letter, Peter’s Welsh family moved to Paris, France from Ferndale, Wales, due to Peter's muggle mother Iris’s love for France and a new job as much expensive hotel manager. Wizard father former Ravenclaw Brayden wasn't very happy with that but he was happy when Peter was given an accepted letter from Beauxbatons. Welsh speaking, Peter had to learn English at a young age. But it really wasn’t mandatory as Peter was gonna go to a muggle school but his father pushed against it, getting young Peter two tutors, A muggle math aid, and a wizard tutor. Lucky, Peter was able to play and hang out with best friends Brookline Quinn and Winnie Jameson. More parts of his family, Peter has two aunts the name of Beatrice and Cherry. His mother ’s grandparents are Gary and Lily Mann, while his father’s parents, Jackson and Lucy Smith who Lucy is a former Hufflepuff while Jackson is a former Ravenclaw.
At the age of 7, Peter was reading, his baby sister Marietta who was 3, with blue, white, green, and black blocks. Screeched playfully, Marietta knocked the tower of muti-color blocks down to the ground. Peter sighed in relief when he saw Marietta wasn’t hurt. He put his nose back in his book that was called The Outsiders. Marietta took a green block and placed a black one on top. She placed all the blocks on til the last one was to high for her to reach. Crying, the little girl walked unevenly over to her big brother. “Pete-Peter, help me?” Marietta babbled, her voice so cute and tiny. Heaving a large sigh, Peter sat up, and said, “Ok, fine.” Standing up, the boy walked over to the tower when the last block flew out of Marietta‘s hand and landed gracefully on the tall tower. Marietta squealed, definitely knew what just happened.

Is your character a Quidditch Player?
YES/NO.
Is your character a Duelist? YES/NO
Abilities: Calming Presence:ReducioCarefree he is, Peter has a strange personality and presence. How carefree he is, you can ask his friends.
Netherless carefree, he has a very strange aura. Calm. How calm you ask? He makes you feel very calm and relaxed, even though your full of loads of stress and worries. He could be a therapist or a nurse, how calm he can make a person, if he wanted to follow his muggle mother ’s sisters’ footsteps. Aunt Cherry is a pretty good therapist while Auntie Bee (Beatrice) is a scrub lovin’ nurse. But ever since his first instance of magic he's been wanting to be a wizard and go to Hogwarts with his best friends. But that doesn't happens. At all.
If you spoke to Peter, his cheerful and curious attitude and happy-go-lucky nature would make you more relaxed and full of delight when you leave Peter. When his sister Marietta would get angry which was highly likely, Peter would talk go her in a soothing, genius, and soft thoughtful voice, and all her anger would of melted away in 5 seconds making her feel calm and relaxed. She'll be remembering how she was so angry and now she was so calm she could take a nap! As with his parents. Anger melting away and encouragement sliding in, made any good person affected want to do the Sams thing theirselves. Encouragement was another part of his presence. Relaxation, calmness and encouragement, was his nature. Encouraging, relaxing, calming people is what Peter asked to do.
Once after Peter and his best friend Brookline had gotten their 1st form of magic, Winnie wanted hers. She had simply wanted to go to wizardry school and to do magic. Envious, Winnie asked Brookline if the brunette would teach her magic because simply Winnie wanted magic. After failing, Peter spoke to his other best friend, encouraging and relaxing the anxious girl just by speaking. Winnie tried again, calm this time. But it still wouldn't work! Winnie is a squib. But she was so calm thanks to Peter that she accepted that! Crazy, right?
But why he gets that presence? Why he can calm a person down with his aura? How can he encouraging someone by just speaking? He gets it from his two aunts but especially from his father. His father was a very calm man. Hogwarts made him calm himself. Himself!
In conclusion, Peter has a very strange aura and a even stranger personality and perspective. How that is, you'll just have to meet him.

- Unless you are staying back a year, your stat total should be 40 rather than 35 because you would be getting next year's stats now. We will be graduating your character in a few weeks and we are trying to spread out the workload.
