Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Match 5
Lucia's knock back jinx missed yet again - was she ever going to hit this girl? - but her teammates both managed to land their spells on the lone Gryffindor standing across from them. But then, the girl shot a spell of her own at both Lucia and Lea. Lea dodged, but Lucia couldn't and soon felt her nose filling up with mucus. Was her stomach queasy too? Lucia had to fight the instinct to drop her wand and raise both hands to her nose to shield everybody else from the surely horrific sight. Instead, she did the next best thing, turning her head away from the audience.
"Don't look!" she implored her teammates, feeling her cheeks flush red with embarrassment. "Oh Merlin. Don't look. I look disgusting."
Lucia was a part-Veela; she wasn't supposed to look disgusting! She definitely felt disgusting though, and wished she had tissues with her. Not that tissues would do much for something this gross. Some mucus dripped onto the floor at her feet and Lucia jumped away from it. "Ew ew ew ew ew!"

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Match 5
Nicky could barely think at this point. Everything hurt. Everything stung. She just wanted this to be over. But she had to fight till the end. Because her teammates were watching the duel and cheering her on. At least if she lost the one match no one would say she didn't try.

Mucus ad Nauseam vs Lucia
ReducioPhase-Out Check: [d20: 20] = Phase-Out
Effect: Lucia skips the next round but does not fall unconscious. Mucus ad Nauseam effects end.
Well that was uneventful.
After an impressive salvo of attacks by the Hufflepuff team, the next few attacks did not exactly live up to expectations. Did Lucia's newfound illness somehow spread to her teammates? Her knockback jinx missed its mark, that much was certain. How much the illness played into that attack Cassius could not tell, but even from his vantage point it was clear she was not looking good and seemed to struggle to maintain her focus.
Her teammates had less of an excuse. A blasting curse was attempted and failed by Lea who seemed partial to the spell. While it was powerful, it was also difficult to cast. For Jake, a well-cast knockback jinx was also evaded by its intended target. At least it did not target a teammate again.
For Gryffindor, the lone duellist's energy might have been consumed by the evasion of two knockback jinxes as the team offered no spell in reply.
Hufflepuff was still sitting comfortably in the lead, but this was turning into a long duel and no doubt fatigue would begin to set in. Would it be enough to turn the tide?

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Match 5
Lucia did her best to send a knockback jinx at the Gryffindor, but there was no chance of it hitting. This stupid curse had just affected her far too much: she'd never felt so ill in her life. "Oh, Merlin's beard," she managed to gasp out as she tried - and failed miserably - to regain control of her immune system. It didn't help that Lucia was certain she looked as disgusting as she felt; a rare thing. "I'm gonna- need a minute-"

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Match 5
Ah. There it was. The moment when she got her hopes and pride up a little too much. Lea had been doing rather well up until this point, but now would mark her second failure with the spell in this duel. She grimaced, shaking her wand slightly as though that would fix it. It wouldn't of course, it hardly worked on electronics, but the movement was almost instinctive. Her teammates weren't doing much better, but it seemed neither was Elsa. Lucia was especially having a tough time. Now would be great time to have tissues on hand, but Lea hadn't prepared for anything of the sort. "Yeah. Not too much longer."

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Match 5
Nicky was fast....this time none of their spells hit. Jake kept his focus, or tried to, but he couldn't help but peek at Lucia who wasn't doing so good. The curse that had hit her had definitely worked, that was for sure, and she looked like she was going to need a break. Luckily there were still two of the Hufflepuffs left, even with Lucia looking ill, and they still had the numbers advantage. Taking his time to really aim, Jake held out his wand again and decided to keep casting. The time was almost up, and then surely they would win no matter what happened...So just a couple more spells to keep them moving and it would be over.

Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor: Match 5
Nicky kept dodging. Like a fierce wild animal fighting for her life, she was doing her best to stay afloat. She knew she was going to lose but she was not going down without a fight. Not going to back down while she was still conscious. She readied her wand for the next round and yelled "GO GRYFFINDOR!"

While a valiant effort was put up by the lone Gryffindor, it had finally come to an end. Two knockback jinxes were cast at Elsa and though she was able to evade one, the other perfectly hit its target. It certainly did not help that as the knockback jinx was cast, Elsa's own fire-making spell backfired on her, causing some burns and setting part of her aflame. In the end, the combination of the two was too much and she fell.
“Pause,” Cassius said as soon as Elsa hit the stage. “It is finished.” He gestured for the medical assistants to douse the flames and aid Elsa. He hoped the flames had not yet had time to cause burns of too much severity.
“Congratulations to Hufflepuff.” Turning with an exaggerated swish of his robes, Cassius descended from the duelling stage to go record the official results.
HUFFLEPUFF WINS!
