Well, Ms. Clarke. We cannot control the actions of other, only ours. It is the nature of these groups that everyone has their own way, aims, and goals for what kind of experience they want to have. As for you and what you can do, I’d suggest preparing as best you can and being the kind of teammate you wish to have. That way when everyone else falls on their face, people in attendance will know that Ms. Clarke, as the kids say, “stands on business.” And they will know you to be both capable and reliable.
