Stephanie Daly was born on 9 April 2012 to John Paul Daly and Maria Strand. In the summer of 2013, John Paul and Maria married and moved into a modest home in the eastern outskirts of Gateshead, northern England. Quickly rechristened ‘Steph’, the young girl became the elder sister to four younger siblings: Tom, Sam, Georgie, and Joey.
Despite their large brood, John Paul and Maria maintained a tumultuous relationship for the entirety of Steph’s childhood. Frequent arguments often followed John Paul’s extended absences, Maria’s apparent inconsideration for their Muggle neighbours, their dwindling finances, and any other excuse either could find to yell at the other. Steph naturally came to look after her siblings. She watched after them, tended to any grievances, and made sure all were fed and happy. The leader of their little gang, she herded them to the moors and forests a short walk away from their home, and they spent their days running and climbing and falling, decorated with dirt and scraps.
Maria decided to send her children to a local Muggle primary school to occupy them while she worked, and sent them off with a firm message to maintain secrecy of their magical identity. She needn't have worried, for little Steph found little to like in school and made frequent escape attempts. One teacher, Steph's beloved Miss Ludkte, managed to teach the girl her letters and developed within her an appreciation for books and stories, but in all other classes, Steph was boisterous and restless.
Steph was incredibly excited upon reading her acceptance letter. She dreamed of a place full of the curious and strange, with others her age who shared her magical identity.
First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Steph's first instance of magic occurred shortly before her seventh birthday. In a heated argument with her mother, Steph hid underneath her bed's blankets to momentarily hide. Maria tried to yank the blankets off but (to the shock of both mother and daughter) found them heavier than concrete, and impossible to lift. Unfortunately for Steph, the sensation lasted only a second, and she received a furious lashing from her mother.

Even as a little girl, Layla loved animals of all kinds. Puppies, kittens, baby rabbits, snakes, bugs- pretty much everything except arachnids. She had a stuffed wolf toy as a bed toy, a stuffed snake toy in her reading chair, and many others in a basket in her room. Her parents knew about her love of animals, and told her to never go into the woods behind the family home, as they knew that because all kinds of animals lived in there and that if Layla knew about this she would probably wander into the dangerous woods- and most of the animals in there were dangerous. They also knew that Layla didn’t really know when something was dangerous- her natural curiosity was both a gift AND a curse. Layla listened and nodded whenever they brought up the subject, never really questioning why she wasn’t allowed in the woods. Until her 9th birthday.
The night of her 9th birthday was a full moon, with no clouds in the sky. After a dinner party with her large family, Layla went to bed at 9:00, her new bedtime. As she lay in bed, she heard the guests slowly leaving, and her parents going to bed. She lay awake, her mind unable to switch off. After tossing and turning for a few hours, she got up, deciding she couldn’t get to sleep. Walking over to her window, she opened the curtains to let the bright moonlight in. Layla’s bedroom overlooked the courtyard and faced the woods. She sighed and looked at Muggins and the chickens, sleeping peacefully. Layla went back to bed, but just lay awake for another half hour.
Getting up, she put her dressing gown on over her pyjamas, then crept downstairs to the back door. Opening it, she walked out into the courtyard, intending to lie down with Muggins for a while. Layla crouched down next to Muggins, patting him on the belly. Muggins stretched and woke, licking her face.
“Maybe we could go for a walk, Muggins?” Layla whispered in his ear. Muggins licked her face again and stood. Layla looked past the courtyard gate, at the woods. “We could go for a quick walk and be back in no time,” she said softly to him. Muggins barked. “Shhhh!!” she whispered urgently, looking up at her parent’s window, expecting to see a light come on- but after ten seconds of tense waiting, nothing happened.
“Come on,” Layla whispered, tiptoeing over to the gate. Looking over it, she saw the woods, dark and, some would say, foreboding. But Layla didn’t feel at all scared- she just felt excited and a little bit guilty, to be ignoring her parent’s warnings. She pushed open the gate and Muggins ran past her, into the woods. “Muggins, wait!” Layla whisper-shouted, but he ignored her and ran into the darkness. Saying a word she shouldn’t have said, she stepped through the gate and shut it behind her. “Muggins! Muggins!” she called, feeling safer to talk louder now that she was away from the house. Layla ran into the woods, following the sound of his footprints. She ran for what felt like about ten minutes, still following the sound of footprints. “Muggins!” Layla called, breathing hard after her run. The footsteps stopped. “This way, Muggins!” she called again. She heard footsteps coming towards her, and she walked forwards, stopping when she saw a shape at the base of a tree. She crept closer to it, and the pile of fur gave a soft yip. “Muggins?” whispered Layla. “But if you’re here, then what’s th–”
Layla was cut off as something slammed into her from behind. Layla screamed and twisted around to see what had hold of her. She found herself looking at a creature she felt she knew but couldn’t put a name too. It pinned her down by her shoulders and howled at the moon, and Layla felt a stab of terror. Werewolf.
Layla screamed again, and looked for Muggins, but he wasn’t at the tree. The werewolf lifted its head again and howled, then its head swooped down. Layla saw sharp teeth glinting in the moonlight, sharp as knives, before those same teeth sunk into her shoulder. She tried to scream but no sound came out- she just felt paralysing pain in her shoulder. Suddenly, the werewolf pulled its teeth out of her shoulder and the weight that was holding her down disappeared. Layla just had time to hear Muggins’s barking and her parent’s worried voices, before she passed out.
Layla woke up a few hours later in her bed, with both her parents leaning over her, their faces lined with worry.
“Layla,” her mother said, holding Layla’s right hand, “I’m sorry.”
Layla was still a bit groggy, but she understood what had happened. She had been bitten by a werewolf, and everyone knows what that means.
Layla had not changed her personality since the attack, like others have because of the worry.
She knew that she would be given a Wolfsbane potion every full moon from Hogwarts. While she does worry about attacking someone she loves, she knows that with the potion that worry is irrational, so she doesn't let it bother her.
Character Backstory:
Reducio
Layla was born into a pure-blood family, but both of her parents believed that being a pure-blood didn't mean you were any more of a wizard than being a muggle-born. Both of her parents worked with the Ministry of Magic as Aurors. After arresting several people, they made their enemies, so always tried their hardest to make sure that no harm would come to their daughter.
Layla always wanted a little sister or brother, but it didn't happen, so her parents bought her a dog, as she loves all kinds of dogs and wolves. She named him Muggins, and enjoyed caring for him. Because she had no-one else to play with, and her parents were so busy working, she often played with Muggins and her chickens, Prince and Princess, in the large courtyard of their family home. She taught Muggins lots of tricks, and, before leaving for Hogwarts, was trying to teach all her pets to 'sing' together (it didn't go so well, her parents agree)
Since coming to Hogwarts, Layla has enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends. She wants to get a pet when she has enough money- a cat, since she had a dog at home and would like to try something new, or an owl, because the only birds she's owned are chickens, and they can't fly.
Layla is looking forward to spending more time at Hogwarts.
First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Layla's first instance of magic occurred a few days after her 7th birthday, in her mother's garden. Her mother was very interested in growing vegetables the Muggle way, and so had planted a veggie garden, but she became very disheartened when nothing came up. Layla was looking out her bedroom window at the garden, thinking how nice it would be for her mother if something grew, when suddenly heaps of little seedlings pushed their way out of the soil. She watched as they grew into full-grown plants in a matter of seconds, and in between one blink and another, the plants were loaded with produce. Her mother rushed out of the house, overjoyed to see her garden growing.

Mylo is part of a family of 4, he has a younger sister called Andrea who is 7, and two dads, Mike and James who both are teachers, Mike is a music teacher and James a Primary school teacher. They grew up in Durham, England within the muggle world. Both of his parents we're muggles, so Mylo knew nothing of the magical world before getting his acceptance letter. He has always loved to read and do arts and crafts.
They went to kindergarten but after that were homeschooled by his dad James. After they got their acceptance letter both their dads came to the conclusion that it would be a good place to send him as Mylo would be able to learn his magic alongside other wizards and witches their age.
Mylo also has 2 non-magical best friends whom they know from the neighborhood, and they have been friends for a few years now. Lyla who is a very energetic 10 year old and Sam who is also 11 and a bit more reserved and calm. They have a hard time making friends so he cherishes these people a lot, and always tried to be kind to them.
Mylo's dad's would always describe him as a kind kid who never knows when to say no, a people pleaser if you will, and would try to encourage them to think carefully before helping people. He is very trusting and kind to people in need.

First Instance of Magic:

Mylo's first instance of accidental underaged wandless magic was when they were playing football with his sister and dad James in the garden when they were 8, Mylo accidentally hit the ball wrong and it shot off towards his little sister Andrea, she was only 4 at the time and didn't have the reflexes to dodge or stop the ball. Mylo saw the ball flying towards his sister and without being aware of it used his magic to avert the ball so that it wouldn't hit her. They all thought it a freak accident as they didn't have the knowledge to explain it otherwise..

On the 31st of December, 2011, Jing was born to a Chinese immigrant named Min Liu (father) and an English mother named Alice in London, England. Her older brother, Lei, was 7 years old at the time. Her early education was taught by a private tutor. As a young child, she was regarded as quite the bibliophile. As a result of her upbringing, she did not interact with her peers frequently and relied upon her brother to share his wisdom about the outside world. However, despite her family being pure-blood, Lei sparked his little sister's curiosity about the Muggle world through sharing his studies while he was attending at Hogwarts. As such, Jing researched as much as she could about Muggles in secret from her parents. She discovered the Muggle's own form of 'magic', such as their technological advancements to aid them in their day-to-day lives. Fascinated, she attempted to make her way to Muggle London with her older brother's help. The experience was one she would never forget. For a Muggle, magic is something only found in fantasy novels, and as such, is regarded as fantastical. However, the same can be said for a young witch who had rarely interacted with even her own world. To the young girl named Jing, the Muggle world and their technology was something found only within the pages of the books in her secret library (she had a nook of textbooks about the Muggle world she needed to hide from her parents). Unfortunately, for many years after, she would need to rely on that special experience to fuel her imagination and passion to learn more as she was unable to travel to Muggle London again. Upon their return, Lei and his little sister were caught, and Jing's textbooks were all confiscated, much to her grief. No matter how much she protested to her parents, a pure-blood like her could never associate with Muggles... But her parents could not dampen her curiosity. When she received her letter to Hogwarts, Jing was overjoyed. A school that not only accepted pure-bloods, but half-Muggles as well! She would make sure to interrogate all students of Muggle origin thoroughly.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Around the age of 6 years, Jing was nearly crushed to death by a falling bookcase. She had been attempting to climb a bookcase to reach a novel that was on a higher shelf. Unfortunately, the bookcase was quite ancient and rather unstable, thus tipping over due to the girl's weight (despite being light). Thankfully, her magic saved her, preventing the bookcase from falling down entirely, and she was able to crawl out from underneath it unscathed, although quite frightened. Ever since, she always checks the stability of the bookshelves she browses.

Sigrid Johnson grew up in Thetford, a modest English town bordering the Thetford Forest, near between the middle of Norwich and Cambridge. She was born on 11 June 2012 to Tom Johnson (a half-blood wizard from a Muggle-born father and pureblood mother) and Max Crawford (a Muggle-born witch), and had a young sister, Enid (born 2016), and a younger brother, Lucas (born 2017). In 2018, when Sigrid was six years old, her parents split, and it was decided that the custody of Sigrid and her siblings was to be shared equally between Tom and Max. Sigrid didn't mind either way.
Sigrid attended a Muggle primary school, and quickly attained a reputation as disrespectful, disobedient, and rude. She ignored her teachers, worked only when she pleased, and when separated from the other children would fall asleep, or stare out the window, daydreaming. It was a small miracle Sigrid learnt to read.
Outside the classroom, Sigrid spent her hours running across the highway that sat a short distance from her home, beyond which lay the Thetford Forest. She would bring Enid and Lucas, or either her magical or Muggle friends, and would chase each other through the trees, or build huts, until the night came and they had to go home. In particular, Sigrid loved to play Quidditch with the other wizarding children, though banned by their parents in the danger of a Muggle catching site of them. Sigrid dreamed of becoming a Seeker for a professional team when she grew up.
First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Her first instance of magic occurred at the age of six, when she became furious after losing a game to her friend at school. Just as she began to argue, a nearby water tap started gushing furiously. The quick flow of water stopped once the girls paused to stare in curiosity (and as Sigrid's angry feelings subsided).

STATUS: Pending, Zach Zaphiere, February 6
Reason for Pending:
- In the character backstory, Elara's father was born into the wizarding world. It's impossible for him to be a pilot since he wouldn't have any identification or formal education in muggle world that is necessary for pilot training/education. Please make an edit regarding to this.
- In the First Instance of Magic, usually there's only one magic happening. Burning the toupe of her teacher is enough. And right now, there's no spell corresponding to making plants around her wilted down. Please make some changes regarding to this.

Becca Cross was born in the year 2012, on the 17th of June at a hospital in Cambridge, England. Her father, Hugh Cross, who was born in London, is a muggle without any magical relatives and her mother, Estella, was a witch. When Becca was barely a year old, her mother left for work one morning and never came back. Becca’s father never spoke of that morning or the months following to his daughter, nor did he ever really speak of Estella while Becca was growing up.

What Hugh did not know was that his wife, who worked in the Department of Mysteries, was attacked and killed that morning by an individual wanting to infiltrate the department. The individual was quickly discovered and apprehended before he could learn too much or cause any damage in the department. Tragically Hugh was never told of his wife's murder because Estella, afraid of discrimination, had never informed her peers or supervisors of her marriage to a muggle or her child. When she could no longer hide her pregnancy, she took a long sabbatical, and she never spoke about her personal life to her colleagues.

The only thing Hugh mentioned of those dark couple of months after Estella left was Becca’s sudden, and long-lasting, desire to always be near Hugh. She followed him around closely and rarely chose to leave his side. Any time he left her in alone in a room, Becca cried until her father came back. Sometimes, he told her, she threw awful tantrums. Other times, she found a way to get out of whatever he placed her in and ran to his side quicker than he thought possible for a child as young as she was. He laughed about those instances as retold them to his daughter, but at the time he was almost at his wit's end.

Despite her mother disappearing, Becca had a wonderful childhood full of love, patience, and knowledge. Her father is a history professor at the University of Cambridge, and is very popular with his students. He is known for always taking the time to help any student who reaches out to him for help. Because of this, Becca grew up on and around the University since her father often held long office hours, or met up with students off campus if their schedules demanded it.

Becca grew to love history as much as her father from these outings and instances. She tried to absorb every single story or fact he shared. She demanded her father teach her to read when she was around three years old, according to Hugh. When he acquiesced, she learnt very quickly. Hugh did his best to foster his daughter’s love of learning by taking her to museums, on educational trips, or teaching her age appropriate facts about history. In fact, their monthly trips to museums and galleries are some of Becca’s favorite childhood memories.

When Becca was nine, she had her first instance of magic. Her father told her what little he knew about Becca's mother, Estella, and his hurt over Estella not telling him about magic until after he caught her using around Becca as an infant. As Becca listened, hundreds of questions rattled around her brain, but Hugh could not answer them. Estella wouldn’t tell him much about her world, and he did not ask very often.

Hugh did give her a large trunk that Estella had left. In it was several books on potions, charms, spells, and theories. There was also a children’s book in it, a cloak, some quills, parchment, and some other bits and bobs Becca didn’t recognize. Lastly, there was a small, locked box in it.

Becca took it all to her room and began pouring over the books, but they were too difficult to understand. A few weeks later, Becca gave up on trying to understand these advanced books. Instead, she went to all the bookshops and libraries in the area, and read every book on wiccan witchcraft, the occult, and magic she could find.

Over the next two years she became obsessed with it, but she never tried to do anything with her own magic. Occasionally, when she was overtired or overly frustrated, something might have happened she could not explain. She mostly ignored that, though. She was slightly afraid of her magic and the idea she may never be able to control it. In some of her books, she read the practice was passed down from parent to child, and her mother was gone. How could she teach Becca about it?

Becca became so obsessed with finding answers, she started ignoring her best friend and, to a lesser extent, her father. By her tenth birthday, it had been months since she spoke to her best friend or anyone her age outside of mandatory group projects at school. Her father tried to force her to talk to people, but when he was too pushy, she locked herself in her room. By Christmas of that year, her father and her weren’t speaking to each other very often as Becca constantly shut herself inside her room.

When a knock sounded on the door to her flat the summer when she turned eleven, she answered it as her father was grading papers. It was a stranger, but they knew her. Becca instantly realized that it had something to do with her magic. She listened, fascinated, as the professor spoke of Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and the magical world. She tried to keep her questions at a minimum as she didn’t want to come across as clueless to her future professor, but it was very difficult.

The next day, her and her father went to London and then to Diagon Alley, using the entrance the professor told them about. Becca excitedly went to Ollivanders first and got her wand, then to Flourish and Blotts for her books. The rest of the trip, all Becca could think about was her books. She noted the casual magic being done in the Alley and was amazed, but it was all a temporary distraction for her.

Once they got home, Becca instantly took her new books to her room and began pouring over them. Finally, the magic was beginning to make sense. Becca spent the rest of the summer reading over her new textbooks and two other books her father let her buy. Her father tried to coax her out to spend time with him, but she never wanted to leave her books.

On the 31st of August, Becca realized she was leaving her father the next day. For the first time in her life, she was going to be apart from him for longer than a weekend, and she had missed the entire summer leading up to it. That morning she cooked breakfast and told him she wanted to go to a museum with him. He was very happy to spend the entire day with her.

The next morning, they loaded up their car and drove to London. Her and her father spent the entire trip in silence as neither knew what to say. They said their goodbyes on the platform, and Becca boarded the train for Hogwarts. She was excited to finally find the answers to all her questions about the magical world.

When Becca was nine years old, her and her father were in his home study drinking a cup of tea and talking about a book. Her father and her were disagreeing on the theme of the book. Becca gestured widely and accidentally knocked over her cup onto an old first edition copy of the book.

Becca instantly began apologizing as her father jumped up to try and save the book. When Becca picked the book up, though, it was completely dry. She stared at the book, confused and horrified, then she looked up at her dad.

The Toussaints were, and still are, among a handful of families that have survived for generations in isolation from muggles on the coast of Jacmel, Haiti, utilizing ward magic to blend seamlessly with the coastal landscape.

When the family first settled in Haiti from their former home in northwestern Africa, they faced several predators as they established their new settlement, the most elusive predator being snakes. The serpentine fiends would hide in the most unsuspecting places, poised and ready to strike. Yet, for the Toussaint genealogy, which had kin with the strange ability to speak with them, it would never be an issue. As decades progressed, this gift was believed to be lost, yet nothing was amiss. The village lived in harmony with their land as a self-sufficient wizarding port town with everything they could need and rarely engaging with the muggle world around them unless absolutely required.

As the second to youngest of her siblings, Sarai would be raised in the village generations later. Her parents, Ionna and Bamidele, would raise their children with their extended family, emphasizing early on the importance of their education and encouraging them to observe all they could from their elders. Her nature as a Parselmouth would come to life on a summer evening; some of her cousins and siblings would return home after their first year of Castelobruxo. Her brothers, sister, and their cousins would lead them astray into the surrounding forest to show off their newly learned spellcrafts.

After a brief performance, the parents beckoned the kids back home for the evening, but Sarai remained alone in the forest. The girl would grab a stick and attempt to reenact the spells her brother demonstrated, but ultimately failed. Tossing the branch against a nearby tree in a fit of anguish, the girl would hear a voice cry out from the leaves. Investigating the sound, Sarai was greeted with beady eyes attached to a long serpentine body, causing the girl to scream. The snake would soothe the girl's fright, Sarai somehow comprehending the creature, and would converse for a while with the girl voicing many apologies for hurting it.

Eventually, the sound of her mother's voice nearby would draw Sarai's attention, forcing the girl to say farewell to her new friend before it disappeared into the brush. She kept the incident to herself until her mother prompted whom she spoke to in the woods when putting the young Sarai to bed, to which the girl would lie until she met her mother's steely gaze. The girl would reveal the incident in the woods, silently dreading the reaction her mother might have. It wasn't until Ionna's face lit up with a smile that Sarai felt at ease with the occurrence.

Ionna would reiterate what she had told all of her children their whole lives: "Respect nature and it will respect you." She would further explain to Sarai that this quote was derived from Sarai's father's bloodline and their connection with serpents, and from that day forward, Ionna would coach young Sarai in her training to speak the language of the snakes.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Leveraging magic to blend seamlessly with the mountainous coastal landscape, the shamanic Toussaint line remains one of the few wizarding families that have survived in isolation for generations south of the Chaîne de la Selle mountains of Haiti. They assert even more history through tales told from generation to generation from their origins in North and Western Africa; however, there is no conclusive evidence to verify the truth from fables. One thing that is certain is that the Toussaint bloodline is extremely ancient, allegedly being the first wizarding family to have derived from Hispaniola.

As the world surrounding their quant fishing village changed, the Toussaints lived harmoniously with their land and seldom engaged in the Muggle world around them. Returning with outsiders of either wizard or Muggle origin was not uncommon and made for a unique cultural blend despite diluting their bloodline; over time, the village advanced and included a few dozen families consisting of both wizardkind and Muggles in relation.

In the case of Sarai's parents, Ionna Rosario Toussaint née Santa-Ortiz and Bamidele "Bami" Toussaint, they would meet at Castelobruxo. The two would steadily spend more time together throughout their academic years and would continue to date after they graduated. Ionna moved from the Dominican Republic to Haiti before getting married, and the couple would establish their business endeavors; Bamidele, a skilled Auror who also specialized as a wandmaker, and Ionna as a Potioneer for several years before bringing children into the world. Both Bami and Ionna would not take sole accountability as their caretakers of the children, preferring the entire village to collectively raise the new generation together, as the wizarding port town of Maudeline had done so for centuries. The little Toussaints were each instilled early on with the importance of respect, hard work, and being encouraged to emulate their elders. The kids fared well under the guidance of the village, but would be problematic in their own right.

In 2003, a bright Banded Cotinga swooped in and delivered her acceptance letter to Castelobruxo following Sarai's 11th birthday. For the greater part of her schooling, Sarai strove to outperform her elder siblings and cousins and avoided the shenanigans they often meddled in. Sarai possessed the same fierce drive and slick tongue as her predecessors, and outside of witty remarks that garnered admiration and respect from her peers, she preferred to keep to herself.

Shortly following her 16th birthday, Sarai had a fling with a newly graduated wizard named Armand whom she shared an intermittent friendship throughout their years at Castelobruxo that summer. Their summertime romantic connection ended as fast as it began; weeks of no contact before she sent a letter revealing her newfound pregnancy that went unanswered. It was revealed days later by Sarai's classmate living in the Dominican Republic that a newly graduated and corrupted hit-wizard named Armand Ocasio was killed in the line of duty by her father, Bami.

Further investigation would reveal that Armand's wife would be hosting a mass and wake for the local wizarding community in Santo Domingo; with this newfound crippling knowledge, Sarai turned rather cold, secretive, and an estranged young woman. She withheld details of her former relationship and the identity of her children's father from family, friends, and Armand's widowed wife. As a distraction, the young woman delved deeper into her schooling and craft, and would later deliver two sons on the evening of April 10th. She'd name the boys Alphonse and Briar Toussaint, and strove to be as involved as she could in her sons' lives despite still attending Castelobruxo and her subsequent dangerous line of work. In her free time away from her children, Sarai took up dueling to temper her residual wrath and excelled in courses requiring a wand or keen mind as a result of her aptitude. She graduated in 2010 excelling in Philosophy, Herbology, and Ritual Magic.

Much to her parents' chagrin upon her graduation, Sarai decided not to pursue a career in Politics despite possessing the competitive, cunning, and ambitious edge that would have helped her succeed. Instead, Sarai would assume the role of a Research Aide under her grandmother's tutelage to stay close to her children. Often leaning on her parents to help with her progeny to avoid their exposure to hazardous plants, Sarai would continue to immerse herself in the study of Ritual Magic and Herbology, believing both sciences could be integrated into her expertise as a shaman.

Between her schooling and profession post-graduation, there was scarce opportunity to devote to Alphonse and Briar early in their youth, but she remained a loving yet demanding mother who prioritized their success and happiness above all and hardly accepted anything but the best. During her sons' absence to attend their first year at Castelobruxo, Sarai was informed Hogwarts was seeking a Herbology Professor and immediately applied. Sarai obtained the role of Professor of Herbology on January 10, 2024.

When Sarai was six years old, Makaria, Sarai's older sister, and Keme, their cousin, would sneak into their mother's storage; the idea would be Keme's, and despite earlier warnings to keep out, Sarai being naive would complacently follow their lead. A large black cauldron stood in the middle of the room midst the crowding of potted plants scattered on various surface and shelved tomes, vials, and jars collecting dust. It would be the first time any of the three would be inside the room, so rather than erring on the side of caution in their trespassing, the elder two unraveling the secrets the room contained.

During their exploration, a vibrant orange potion struck the attention of the kids; Makaria and Sarai both demanded a turn holding the large glass vial for a closer look. Keme would toss the potion from across the room to Makaria, who would then throw it back when satisfied. Young Sarai would jump in the air multiple times in attempt to catch the potion in flight, which struck Keme and Makaria to continue this game only they were privy to. This continued in several relays to one another, until finally, Sarai leapt high enough to disrupt the flight of the free-flying potion; it would smack against Sarai's hand, but her little fingers could not secure the vial in time, causing it to break into large chunks on the floor.

Following the large crash that echoed throughout the space and orange liquid splattering across the floor, Keme and Makaria fled the room, leaving Sarai alone with the mess. Fearing punishment, Sarai's eyes welled up with hot tears as her mother's stern threats and warnings echoed as she neared the storeroom. Rather than being greeted with punishment from her mother's wrath, the room would go silent, causing Sarai to open her eyes in confusion. With only the orange liquid remaining on the floor, the jar would be intact yet again, and Iona would embrace her youngest daughter, overjoyed that Sarai was a witch.

BACKSTORY:
Roman is a child born to a Loren and Brooklyn Ashenvale, a couple of Muggles who moved from Canada when they were younger and birthed and raised Roman in England. While his parents have rather obvious Canadian accents, Roman has kind of an odd mixture between the two, having been raised his entire life up to this point within England so he does have a Canadian accent, it's much less notable. Roman's father Loren was a teacher who had got a job teaching University classes and had moved there with his wife Brooklyn. Much similar to his father, Roman had been a very fast learner, even from an incredibly young age. He had been speaking relatively fluently when he was around three and had started learning how to read while he was merely four years old. He had learned many things about colours and the names of different shades. He always loved drawing and colouring and just like his mother Brooklyn had been born left handed. Throughout the years of elementary school he had become a very smart and studious student amongst the others, but always had much of a difficulty interacting with other people, most often only being talked to for assisting other students with their work. He was also not the best with many physical classes but had a very high perception, being able to notice even the smallest of movements incredibly quickly. Throughout his years learning in elementary school however, things were very soon quick to change. About two weeks after his first instance of magic his family were visited by a professor from Hogwarts, delivering Roman's letter and explaining everything to them as to what had happened and what they needed to do next. Over time and with the professor's help they had collected all of his required school supplies and Roman's first wand. When he received his first wand Mr. Ollivander explained to him that the wand's core was very rare and must be taken seriously, as it may be dangerous not for the two of them to stay in sync as the core was volatile and dangerous without guidance, similar to Roman himself. After everything was gathered and the day had come for him to take the Hogwarts Express, his parents gave him.
FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC:
One day when Roman was playing a video game on his television, his mother came and told Roman he needed to take a bath. He was in the middle of the level and had not yet saved, already being very frustrated with the game already. He ignored his mother and eventually, she simply turned off his game without any warning or anything. Roman was furious and his anger was not to quelled as he was more or less dragged to the bathroom to take his bath. Incredibly angry, after Roman took off his clothes and put his foot into the hot water in quickly began freezing around his foot, creating a icy shoe around it. He screamed in terror with his parents soon coming to see what was wrong. Completely shocked and confused at what had happened, Roman was taken to help melt the icy shoe from around his foot by his father and his mother inspected the water itself.

Applying for a specie !

Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: Dhampir
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
Reducio
The mother of Rowan, Meera, was a Dhampir, because the mother of her was a Vampire. So, the grandmother of Rowan was a wizard vampire, and choose to get away from this world because she didn't want to get this for her future child, Meera. So, she get married with a muggle, saying nothing to him and being not dangerous with him, and had a child, the mother of Row. At first, she believed that her child was completely normal, not a witch like her and she was, she had not had the gift of witch but rather the ability of Dhampir to 50%, due to the birth of a muggle and a vampire. She found out about all of this on her 11th birthday, or her mother decided to finally reveal it to her. She tried to ignore it, despite the dangers, and finally had a daughter at the end of her studies! She, in her turn, regretted that she had a Dhampir girl at 25%. On the other hand, she taught her daughter this in her fifth year birthday, when she could realize all and talk a lot, She could finally figure out what she really was at least, which shocked her, in addition to the fact that she is also a witch, compared to her mother. In short, she is quite good at defending against the forces of evil, so duels, because it is being Dhampir that gives her a little advantage and she has a very pale complexion, and a little afraid of the sun, which still hurts her. As a child, her mother led her father to believe that she had a skin allergy, without ever telling him the truth. Ever since she was a little girl, her parents have also wondered about her claws, but her mother concludes that like her, this was what came with the ability of the Dhampirs, her true race. When taking a picture, Rowan is always careful not to show his teeth, because everyone might notice that it's really not normal like the others, especially his retractable teeth under the gums. His canines are not canines but rather gaps, truth be told. On a broom as well as on a duel platform, she is very comfortable and could do anything in these conditions. She hates summer and winter more than anything in addition to rainy days, it's her favorite weather, or she has no sensitivity. In the summer, when she goes for a walk outside, she doesn't forget to bring a pair of high-intensity sunglasses with her in her purse and carries with her, on her shoulder, a large and striking red parasol, which catches the eye but which protects her from what she fears. On every sunny day, too, she makes sure to put on a lot of sunscreen and on the contrary, on the days she can, she puts on big gloves to hide her nails a little too long for her tastes and those of her parents and all those at school. That's why Dhampir is something that can fix with her.

I hope that its ok ! Thanks a lot !
