Ayuka had been born in Japan. In surprise, their parents had the same family name, despite the use of their mother's English name with the Japanese surname, so they didn't go through the whole thing of changing their surname. Their father's name is Kairi while their mother's name is Astra. The two met up due to both living in Japan and wanting to give dating a try. It had all grown to be perfect. Here and there they showed their affection, but not in public. Eventually, they got married and had Ayuka, giving them their name due to their bright, cute eyes as they described. This had been understood by Ayuka soon, as their name means sweetfish, being associated with elegance, grace, and tranquility. They were so excited when finally getting accepted, they could barely sleep, then again, when can they with all the energy they had. This energy got them in a bit of trouble sometimes though, usually ending with bruises. There were things that lasted though... Trauma, basically... One thing that really stuck to Ayuka is their leg... They've had so many treatments on it to heal after the whole incident that started it... Basically, around 7 or 8, they had come to work with their father, watching as he did his things. Finding other kids, they had the instinct to wander off, which of course, they did. They had found rather dangerous things, not that they knew of, though... That's how it happened... They had gotten a hold of this, injuring themselves a good amount. One kid had broken their wrist, one ended up with a good scar... Ayuka was the one that had the worst though, as with them and the other kids trying to use one, it had cut into their lower leg, damaging their fibula. It has been treated to help Ayuka on that leg, but they still have their troubles... Stumbling when walking from time to time, unable to get up on their own... That's why they usually have a friend around. Being uncomfortable with the trauma and this injury, they rarely wear shorts, not wanting to show the scar from this injury. If they ever did wear shorts, they would usually use concealer to cover the scar. Being a half-blood, they would always ask their father, who was pure blood, to heal it, yet her mother always protested against it, saying that it'd be too risky from how long Kairi hadn't done magic, as well as Ayuka's young age. In shorten terms, their mother basically didn't trust their father with using magic on them and that Ayuka could deal with a little scar on their leg, saying it wouldn't kill them to have it. Changing from this subject, something else is that Ayuka is an ambivert, as really depending on how their feeling sometimes could depend on the side you get if not a mix of both.

Is your character a Broom Racer? NoAyuka had been about five when this happened. They don't even really remember how this happened due to the young age. The only things that were really clear to them is that they were playing with their parents, them and her mother running from their father, who was 'it' at the time. Their house had a hole in it, or more like an unstable part of planks for flooring. Ayuka, unaware, had unknowingly ran over that part. Feeling the floor cave in, they expected to fall, but they had seemed to simply float there and almost beside it instead of above it. Luckily, they got that fixed so no harm could risk happening again.

Kitae lived with his parents, Choi Soo Yun(Mother) and Kim Seong-Jin.(Father) The two met up in South Korea, had their whole affair and that, and had Kitae. They had moved to Japan because of a job his father had. His mother soon followed along with permission given by their father and others, as we all know, women don't tend to work in Japan, but quit their jobs completely and work around the house. Kitae had grown used to being there, getting accustomed to the culture and rules, as well as the people, meanwhile maintaining his own culture himself. Due to their parents having ended up with the same job, or really, mainly their mothers, he had grown friends with Ayuka out of frequent visits, whether he went down to Okayama, or Ayuka's family came up to Sendai. Kitae had to find that out of Ayuka, as he had never known that, wondering why his mother had to go through all the trouble she had for a job. He had heard of the school in the country, Mahoutokoro, and was eager to go. He had to wait though, so for now, he kept himself at the camp until he could go. He had made multiple friends throughout this camp though, and always participated in activities they did, wanting to make the most out of things until he had to go if he did make it. Through a lot of waiting throughout the entire process of camp, slight loneliness from his father and his mother spoiling him, as well as silent nights under the glow stars and fairy lights he had in his room, he had finally gotten to the point to go to Mahoutokoro. Let's see what adventures await Kitae there.

This had been on Kitae's way of moving to Japan. He was around the age of 6 when it happened. As he was waiting for the time to come where he could be accepted into camp, he was just playing with a ball one day. It had gotten weird suddenly though, as for while he was playing with it, it had suddenly vanished out of nowhere! Poor Kitae was so confused... His parents weren't that happy with getting a new one as well too. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

History: To Sayaka, even from a young age, greatness was just the bare minimum. She was born and raised in the Ito residence outside a small town in the Mountains of Miyazki. The grand house was shared by much of the Ito family, with it currently being residence to her, her parents and siblings as well as her grandparents, mothers cousin and his wife and their two kids, Sayaka's second cousins. It was far from a cramped place however, with enough room for all of the family plus guests and then some. The house had been in the family for generations, and its halls reflected the history of the family. The grand open room that contained the stairwell to the second floor was surrounded by cherry blossoms with leaves of dark blue and gold from her past graduated students of the family. When she was younger, she would find excuses to take her studying downstairs and just stare at the trees. Sometimes she would bring her younger cousins, and they would talk so much about how they were going to wear gold robes within the first week that their tutor would tell them off.
Although she worked hard on maintaining an image of an untouchable perfect girl, she had a softer side that only comes out around her younger cousins. Her older twin siblings, Honami and Takuto, were always busy with their own studies and the age gap between them meant that they were never as close as some siblings were. Despite this, she looked up to them and admired them greatly and their approval was something that she treasured. Her younger cousins however, Minato and little Takashi, were closer in age and often were often tutored in a group with her before she reached the age of eight and became a day student. Even when she was "far too old" to be playing childish games, she would always grudgingly oblige in a game of chase with them when she got home from school.

Honami had her first instance of Magic at four. Her mother and Takuto had theirs at five. Little Sayaka was a few days off her eighth birthday and had shown about as much magic as sand. Eight was an important age in the Ito family, as it marked the time that children would become day students at Mahoutokoro. Squibs were something that she had previously only heard about in whispered tones at dinner, a dreadful shame for the wizard or witch in question. It wasn't their fault of course, and they were still to be supported by their family. They simply couldn't accomplish the same things that wizards could. The first and only time she heard that word used about her, she had been crouched outside a closed door that she really wasn't meant to be listening in to. Her great-aunt had been staying at the family house for the holiday season, and at the dinner table that night she had asked about Sayaka's magic. The conversation became awkward after that, because there was simply no story to tell. As had been the same for last year, and the year before. After dinner, she had been dismissed along with the other children so that the "adults could talk". About her. About her stupid, disappointing, squib self. Crying was not something that she did. Ever since she was little, she had prided herself on the ability to get up when she fell over, to choke back her tears and appear strong for her family. But now, as she backed away from the door and turned to run tears ran down her face freely. She ran through the house, trying to keep silent and stop the big, ugly sobs that racked her body. Without really knowing where she was going, her feet carried her to the cherry blossom. Would she ever get a tree? Or would she just stay here, in this house forever, and watch her cousins get to fly away on the petrels without her? She buried her face in her hands, curled up into a ball and finally let out a sob. And then more, until she was crying ugly and loud and all the things she never wanted to be on the floor. "Saya!" said a young Minato in Japanese, her excited footsteps entering the room. "N- not now" she responded, trying to wipe back the tears that soaked her face. "No! Look!" Minato said "Magic!". Finally looking up, the young girl's breath was stolen away from her at what she saw. Her tears were floating, surrounding her in a halo of still rain. Magic. Her magic.

History:ReducioShiori Kaito is the middle child in the Kaito household. She grew up during the period of her family's life when they had finally found their footing, however despite the supposedly peaceful time, Shiori never truly had the privilege of innocence.
At the ripe 'ol age of 4––her older sister, Asami––had begun her reign of torment. 14 year old Kaito had begun to tell young Shiori about the atrocities her own aunts and uncles committed. Bed time stories turned into horrifically detailed recounts of murder and assassinations and familial rifts. Asami took out her own frustration of growing up in an unstable period of time on Shiori who in turn developed a hyper independence in the form of the distrust of her own parents and family.
At 7, Shiori learned that if everyone has the capability to be bad, then why should she care what 'everybody' thinks? Shiori began to engross herself in studies, surfing, reading, writing, anything to avoid people, anything to get away from the world and fall into a fantasy land where princesses walk and magic reigns free. And Shiori was perfectly fine keeping this view of cynicism, but with the introduction of Watari, something shifted.
Shiori was 6 when Watari was born. The first time she saw him in her mothers arms, she felt an insurmountable level of dread, Shiori wanted to shield him from the truth, to let him have the space to hope and the whimsy to find beauty in even the tiniest of things. She didn't want him to be as distrustful as her. And the more Shiori ruminated on the feeling, the more scared she got––yes, what Asami did was immature, but at least she told the truth. If she were to lie, would that not be worse?
Torn between morality and fear, Shiori did her best to keep her distance away from her brother... and yet, whenever Shiori was having a bad day and needed comfort, Watari always found his way to her. Wrapping her in his tiny arms like they could somehow shield her from the harshness of reality.
And overtime, she let herself believe it.
Because of Watari, Shiori had begun to let her walls down. And finally at 10 years old, Shiori let herself hope again.
First Magic:ReducioWhen Shiori was 10, she had the quiz the next day on english, but due to utter boredom and dislike for the subject–she had chose to put off studying in favor of reading another novel instead. And so, when her mother got home only to see that Shiori still hadn't studied, her mother was left with no choice but to drag shiori away from her book to study in the living room under watchful surveillance.
In a fit of overwhelming frustration, Shiori wailed out––and as she began to cry, the english book she was supposed to be studying, flew across the room at a high speed and landed on the floor with a loud thud, the papers tearing and flying out due to the force at which the book was hurled.

First Magic:Keiju was always with his family, studying his stuff for camp and school, that way he was exceptional. His mother, Miyamizu Kato, pureblood, and his father, Kiyoshi Kusamitsu, pureblood, had him after their marriage. They had gone to the U.S. for a bit, as Miyamizu wanted a job, but eventually came back to Japan, having her clean and possibly find a remote job. She had taken off for a few years though, as she had to watch Keiju. The boy always had a thing for stuff like astronomy, nature, and more. Despite being a bit of a flirt, he had his thing with Ayuka, a friend of his who is a half-blood. Ayuka followed the scene aesthetic, so he'd make them bracelets and that to follow it. Ayuka had been one to love gifts and giving as well, so with their friendship from birth to now, they had been pretty accustomed to giving and receiving from each other. Overtime, Ayuka had done a lot of moving, yet they didn't let that stop them, as they and Keiju's parents had made sure to stay in touch for the two. Eventually, camp had come, the two attending and having fun during then. They had made multiple friends along the way too, which they had their years of fun with. One of those many friends was Kitae, a Korean boy who had moved to live in Japan, having gotten along quickly. Despite their distance between cities, the trio always managed. Eventually came time to attend school... Mahoutokoro.... What would it be like...? Would he still make friends...? Why is he worrying, he's Keiju! Anyone could be friends with him!

Being young, he had ran, having gotten caught easily. That's when it happened... One of the other teens in the group suddenly levitated, the others being scared off as they let Keiju go. Asai Teruo was born on the 15th of February, 2012, in Kyoto, Japan, to Akiko and Yuto Teruo. He lives in a quiet house in the bustling city. His mother is an author, and his father is a herbologist. Asai is the youngest in the family, with an older sister, Mizuki, who is ten years older than him. Despite the age gap, Asai has always been closest to Mizuki. She was the one who looked after him when their parents were busy, who slipped him sweets after dinner when he was too shy to ask, and sang him lullabies when he had a hard time falling asleep. Because he was shy, she had also helped him make friends with and open up to the other boys in his block. When she moved out of their house, the house felt quieter. But he still received gifts, letters, and postcards from her from time to time.
Asai has a deep love for books. He reads so much, and gets absorbed in it so much, that his parents sometimes forget he’s even home. He can often be found curled up in corners with a book in hand. Reading for him is a comfort but is also an escape.

To get Kiyoko into the school at the time before special races were admitted to international schools, Kiyoko's family had for the most part kept their veela heritage a secret. The trait, being only from her mother's side and mostly obscure due to her grandmother's early death, made it easier to conceal. Kiyoko was told not to speak of her veela descent, and if she found it hard to conceal (being the talkative type), was encouraged to refrain speaking of her mother's side of the family entirely. Her parents forged/faked that section of any of her legal documents, and paid off people who knew and could possibly expose them for a gain.

Born to Hiroshi Nakamura and Akane Kobayashi, Kiyoko grew up spending most of her time in Osaka, only leaving her beloved home to attend school at Mahoutokoro when she became of age. She considered herself "ordinary." Both of her parents graduated from Mahoutokoro, both of them loved each other, treated her with love and care, and though they were demanding in their expectations for her (specifically in academics), they had never once left her side when she needed their support the most. Okay, sure, her family's wealth was also a nice add-on, but that wasn't her main concern.
Growing up, Kiyoko spent most of her time 'nurturing holistic growth,' as her parents liked to call it. That, for the most part, meant academics for her, but before age eleven there really wasn't much to learn. Or perhaps it only felt that way because of how exceedingly fast she learned. Learning fast meant more free time, and more free time meant time to do things she enjoyed. She picked up hobbies like cooking and knitting, and finer arts like embroidery or weaving. She would also have her designated afternoon "tea-time," which was usually with her parents, or her nanny when they weren't home. Kiyoko meticulously practiced tea-pouring, tea ceremonies, and the rich history behind it, which she found to be rather relaxing, as opposed to boring and dull, which is what she had initially anticipated.
When she turned eleven, she was finally old enough to attend Mahoutokoro formally, which is where a new era of her life began - one away from the comfort of her home, plunged into a vast and exciting new world that she brought her never-ending positive attitude to as well. All the while she kept up well, regularly updating her parents on her academics and asking for help when she needed it. Setbacks where inevitable, and she, like many of her other classmates, experienced those particular nights drenched in tears and a stressed mentality, but like her classmates, she persevered. Eventually, in her third year, she would fly from her parents' nest completely, joining her fellow students to live at the school, for what purpose? To "lock in," as the mumajin kids of similar age liked to say.

So, then, the sound of little Kiyoko's laughter became commonplace in the household. The girl only ever cried when she needed to be fed or a diaper change, and even then her cries were soft and moderate. It was a placid afternoon, and her nanny had been in the living room cleaning up a prior snack mess and fluffing up the pillows again. Little Kiyoko, aged five, was in her playroom, fiddling with building blocks, when she first spotted it. A butterfly. For some unknown reason, it delighted her. Perhaps it was the vibrant blue of the insect's wings. Naturally, the girl began to laugh.
In fact, she laughed so hard that some neighbors swore they heard the faintest trace of her sounds. Of course, the butterfly had been startled away, but what then captured her attention was something much more fascinating:

Of the two sides of her family, if you were to ask Kiyoko, she would tell you that her mother's side is the most interesting. Akane Kobayashi is, at the surface, an ordinary-looking woman, though still strikingly beautiful for her age. She passed that beauty to her daughter, and with that, the blood of a veela. Akane herself is only about half-veela, or perhaps three-quarters - the precise details are still heavily debated over by the family at gathering dinners. Akane's mother, Junko Matsumoto, however, is universally agreed by the family to be full veela. And what a charmer she was, this Junko, whom Kiyoko should have called "grandmother" had she not passed away when Akane was only eleven. Growing up, Kiyoko's grandmother had always been a sort of faraway dream to her, a silver wisp of fading clouds that was eternally just out of her reach. Inches from her fingertips. She had only ever seen pictures, but to her, those pictures and the stories that came with the aging paper felt like enough.
Her grandmother was beautiful. There was no doubt. People will argue that there is no definitive definition for "beautiful" and that everyone is, but if anyone, absolutely anyone, where to gaze once at her grandmother's photo, they would undoubtedly agree that she was beautiful. That had to do with her being a veela - her grandfather would tell her that when he and her grandmother were young, they could barely leave the house without turning heads.
"I used to be afraid of going outside," her grandfather would say, chuckling, "there would always be one or two strangers who would stop us in our path to compliment her. If I didn't admit that I was, at times, just slightly jealous, I'd be lying."
Little Kiyoko would, with ever story, lay in her grandfather's lap wide-eyed and sparkling with glee and fascination. At the time, she was still grasping the concept of a "veela."
"So...am I a veela?" She asked, eyes wide as saucers. "I'm...a magical beast?"
Her grandfather's billowing laugh shook the whole house. So hard that her mother had come into the room holding a half-sliced apple to chastise her grandfather and smile at her.
"No, no, not quite, but you are part veela because your mother is half."
Veela, half-veela, part-veela, it didn't matter what fraction or whole of "veela" she or her mother or her grandmother was. In little Kiyoko's mind, just the word "veela" rang like a crisp, clear windchime. The word itself like a spell. The word itself was beautiful. Junko, Akane, and now Kiyoko - three women (or, two women and a girl) united by a beautiful word and the ageless time of generations, like sakuras blown in the wind.
Her grandfather would smile, pinch her little cheeks and take her tiny hands in his. Kiyoko swore she could see the corners of his eyes glisten a bit, threatening a tear.
"I see her. I see so much of her in you."
That, to this very day, is what Kiyoko thought being a part-veela meant. And it meant so, so much to her.
