—————————— 𝒫𝐸𝑅𝒮𝒪𝒩𝒜𝐿𝐼𝒯𝒴 Growing up, Shiori was never spared the truth. Before she could even form proper opinions, she had already been told about the murder of her uncle and the heir-war that had happened between her family back when her mother was a child. In her family nothing was hidden, secrets and nasty truth were spread. Hardships were shared with everybody. Because of this, Riri grew up to be extremely resilient— valuing honesty above all else. However, her upbringing has also taught her the weight that words carry. Due to this, Shiori is often playing the role as the quiet observer. Taking mental notes of everything whilst keeping her distance, as whenever Shiori starts to open her mouth, its hard for her to stop. Truth, as Shio has found, is a double edged sword. Many people don't want to know the truth, and she doesn't want to hurt others, even if it is in the name of honesty.

Biography: Reducio Shiori Kaito is the middle child in the Kaito household. She grew up during the period of her family's life when they had finally found their footing, however despite the supposedly peaceful time, Shiori never truly had the privilege of innocence. At the ripe 'ol age of 4––her older sister, Asami––had begun her reign of torment. 14 year old Kaito had begun to tell young Shiori about the atrocities her own aunts and uncles committed. Bed time stories turned into horrifically detailed recounts of murder and assassinations and familial rifts. Asami took out her own frustration of growing up in an unstable period of time on Shiori who in turn developed a hyper independence in the form of the distrust of her own parents and family. At 7, Shiori learned that if everyone has the capability to be bad, then why should she care what 'everybody' thinks? Shiori began to engross herself in studies, surfing, reading, writing, anything to avoid people, anything to get away from the world and fall into a fantasy land where princesses walk and magic reigns free. And Shiori was perfectly fine keeping this view of cynicism, but with the introduction of Watari, something shifted. Shiori was 6 when Watari was born. The first time she saw him in her mothers arms, she felt an insurmountable level of dread, Shiori wanted to shield him from the truth, to let him have the space to hope and the whimsy to find beauty in even the tiniest of things. She didn't want him to be as distrustful as her. And the more Shiori ruminated on the feeling, the more scared she got––yes, what Asami did was immature, but at least she told the truth. If she were to lie, would that not be worse? Torn between morality and fear, Shiori did her best to keep her distance away from her brother... and yet, whenever Shiori was having a bad day and needed comfort, Watari always found his way to her. Wrapping her in his tiny arms like they could somehow shield her from the harshness of reality. And overtime, she let herself believe it. Because of Watari, Shiori had begun to let her walls down. And finally at 10 years old, Shiori let herself hope again. First Instance Of Magic: Reducio When Shiori was 10, she had the quiz the next day on english, but due to utter boredom and dislike for the subject–she had chose to put off studying in favor of reading another novel instead. And so, when her mother got home only to see that Shiori still hadn't studied, her mother was left with no choice but to drag shiori away from her book to study in the living room under watchful surveillance. In a fit of overwhelming frustration, Shiori wailed out––and as she began to cry, the english book she was supposed to be studying, flew across the room at a high speed and landed on the floor with a loud thud, the papers tearing and flying out due to the force at which the book was hurled.
