Before Hogwarts Kaori was a quiet individual. Her Father was locally well known among Quidditch circles as a member of the Japanese National Team and the youngest member of the starting team during the 1994 World Cup only having just started his 5th year at Mahoutokoro. Even though they didn't make it to the finals it was said that skill on the field was impressive and on par for what is commonly a top tier team in the world. When the riots happened it is said the Japanese team wasted no time in defending who they could and even those who could not duel put themselves in danger for complete strangers. One of her fathers good friends was put under a cruciatus curse that he couldn't recover from and remains in an institute to this day. After finishing his time in School he married his classmate sweetheart Junko Nakagawa and in 2007 had their first kid, Masashi. 4 years afterward they had their second child, Kaori. Growing up under her father, a famous Quidditch player Kaori also grew up enjoying the Japanese magical pastime and learned to ride a broom at a young age.
When she was only 4 though the JMM reached an agreement with the BMM to host an exchange program. Multiple British wizards volunteered for a tour in Japan to learn their styles, magical techniques and also to improve English fluency among the Ministry while multiple Japanese wizards went to Britain to learn from the British. Shiniciro volunteered to be on the exchange program and used his skill in the broom to teach Aurors how to fly safely in adverse weather conditions. A job he has kept since as the Ministries have turned the exchange into a more permanent arrangement.
As Kaori's life turned from a temporary move to Britain to a permanent one she suddenly found herself having to grow up in a whole new environment. She made few friends and despite her wizarding family being supportive of her she was very late for showing signs of magic. Because though she was late that meant she was elligible to go to Hogwarts, much to her fathers delight. Hogwarts was very prestigious and it meant that Kaori could stay close to home instead of having to split time(Like with Masashi in Mahoutokoro).

Returning back to Britain they got her the supplies she'd need and now all that is left is for her first day in Hogwarts. Not being from Britain they don't hold many of the same prejudices as others do of the Houses but her father hopes she can get into Gryffindor because many of his favorite Quidditch players were from Gryffindor. Her mother just says to not worry about Houses and study hard and so nervous but determined Kaori Morita begins her schooling career.
First Instance of Magic:
Kaori was a late-bloomer among her family. Most of her cousins had their FIOM around 4 or 5 but Kaori took a little longer at 6. When her family had already moved to Wales for the exchange they were hanging outside of their home and Kaori was playing with some toys in the countryside. It was then she picked up a bouncy ball and threw it on the ground, causing the ball to bounce over 50 feet in the air all the way across the house. Her family was overjoyed when she finally showed magical potential as there were starting to be some fears of her being born a Squib.

When Kaori was officially given an invite to Hogwarts her family went back to Japan to go to their local wandmaker who has supplied their family with wands for many generations. It was there that Kaori became the first member of her family in a long while to be chosen by a Cherry Wood wand. Rare even in Japan, just the wood made her family feel despite her late signs she may grow to be a powerful wizard yet. With a Unicorn core though her family feared it would be on the weaker side but the Wandmaker assured them that this wand chose Kaori and with such a combination they can trust this wand would never sway her to the Dark and keep her on the tried and true path. Never wavering in its loyalties to its owner.
Returning back to Britain they got her the supplies she'd need and now all that is left is for her first day in Hogwarts. It was on a summer night, the 20th day of august, that Augustus was brought into this world. His mother, Felicia Snow, was a proven diplomat, working for the Ministry of Magic. Her career seemed to be all traced if we consider her younger years at Hogwarts, where she led a brilliant academic journey as headgirl of Hufflepuff. His father, Selim Faris, was more of an adventurer and worked at the Algerian Ministry of Magic, more specifically in the magical creature regulations department. His works mostly concerned the creatures roaming the vast desertic plains of the Saharan ecosystem.
They met in Algeria, in the frame of Felicia’s work. They fell in love swiftly and after two years of relationship, they had their only child.
Augustus lived the first four years of his life in the north African country, amongst his cousins. Even though he doesn’t remember much of these formative years, his native country keeps to this day a good place in his heart. Besides, he spent quite a few summers over there, and still keeps in touch with most of his father’s family.
When he was approximately four years old, Augustus’s mother was called back in England in her line of duty. Very much in love and unwilling to be separated from her, her husband followed through, and the young family started a new life in the heart of London.
Augustus got accustomed quite quickly to his new home. Due to the obligations of his parents, his was mostly homeschooled by his grandparents on his mother’s side, especially his grandmother Melodia, to whom he has taken a particularly sincere liking. Most of his days were filled with lessons about the wizarding world, but also muggles subjects, such as literature, mathematics, geography and history, to which he has taken a particular interest. Every few summer though, he went back to Algeria with his father to spend some time with the rest of his family and go on adventures with his cousins.

Augustus has had a few encounters with accidental underaged wandless magic, but the first considerable instance was the second summer after his family moved to England. He was around six years old. His family had went on vacation, to the coastal southern city of Porthsmouth. Even though he was used to the warm and clear water of Mediterranean beaches, Augustus was glad to once again be able to swim in the ocean. He was a pretty decent swimmer, but mostly used to the relatively calm waters of Algiers and the few towns surronding it. There, in southern England, the Atlantic waters were way more agitated. And cold. So cold in fact, that Augustus spent very few moments in the water before making up his mind that he would rather just be looking at it from the warmth of the rocky beaches. One morning, he woke up earlier than the rest of his family and decided to go admire the vast body of water alone, to meditate in its beauty. To get a better view, he went on strolling through a very sinuous and treacherous rocky path. At some point, he found himself a top a large slippery boulder, where he decided to make halt. As he was staring at the infinite horizon, he got caught complitely offguard by a strong huge wave. Crashing on the boulder with tremendous violence, Augustus was shaken off of his meditative state and completely panicked. Soaking wet and destabilized, he slipped on the moist rocks beneath his feet and started falling into the water. The temperature drop was instant. As soon as his body clashed through the waves, he felt like losing his breath. Nonetheless, he still managed to swim up to the surface, shivering from the cold. But as he was recollecting himself, he only had enough time to realise the boulder he was standing on a few secondes ago was far from stable. Before he could do anything about it, the big slob of solid rock started falling on him. In a state of panic, he didn't think of outswimming it. He simply put his hands over his head, as if it were gonna be of some protection. As he feared the fatidical moment of contact, he realised at his absolute surprise that he wasn't being crushed. Instead, the big pieces of of rock were simply levitating over his head, defying every laws of physics and gravity. Luckily enough for him, his father had seen him sneak out earlier and had discreetly followed him, so that he could react quickly enough and get Augustus out of this misadventure.

They were loving parents, fawning all over Nellie and later her twin siblings, Micah and Mika. There was nothing particularly abnormal about Nellie's early years, at least not for a muggle child. Nellie, though she was always a quiet child, had no issues making friends. Her neighbor, Elizabeth, quickly became her closest friend. She would tell her everything. The Lam children were raised to believe magic was a thing of fairy tales, existing only in stories. Han and Alice would later claim that they saw no reason to make the children aware of another world in which neither believed they would ever again be a part of. Having convinced themselves that their offspring would not have magical abilities, either, they were surprised the afternoon the family got home from work and school to see an owl perched on the flower box outside their living room window with Nellie's invitation to Hogwarts.
Nellie was lucky in that, while occasionally difficult, her parents fully support her entrance into the wizarding world. When she received a letter from her maternal grandparents, they left it up to their young daughter to decide how to proceed. She replied. She then also reached out to her paternal grandparents, as well. Up until this point, there have been a few letters exchanged, but not much beyond that.
First Instance of Magic: Nellie's first experience with magic was when she accidentally turned her own hair pink shortly before her 11th birthday. Fearing for her own sanity, she lied and told her parents she'd dyed it at a friend's house. After all, who would believe her? Having believed this excuse, Han and Alice took her to a salon for a muggle fix, dying her hair back to brown. This is likely why they missed the signs for their daughter's abilities.

Finn Adkinson was born on the 16th of August 2012 in Glasgow, into a family of archivists. Financially, they would be considered "upper middle class" and they keep to themselves in a big house filled with plants and beautiful stained glass windows.
He spent his early years in record rooms, learning about the history of important magic families. Despite his magical lineage, he struggled to connect with his peers, often spending his free time within the archives. The closest friends he ever had were Icarus Liff and Sohi Reed, who he bonded with over their shared interest in Magic History and reading, but has not kept up with in the last few years.
His two sisters, Agata and Zuzanna, only highlighted his social awkwardness with their outgoing personalities. This, however, was never a problem inside of the family. Dinners together were a time for lively discussions, where even Finn would get out of his shell. Their parents, Peter and Stephanie, often struggled connecting with their more introverted son, as he would rather spend his afternoons in the quiet corners of the family's extensive library. They usually joined him in the evening, telling him stories about their days in Hogwarts and becoming a source of comfort and support.
Finns room was adorned with sketches and notes he made when he accompanied his father on work related trips. He is very passionate about magical creatures and their habitats, frequently rambling on about it, but when he isn't immersed in his amateur studies, he got lost in astronomy, He considered the night sky his canvas, mapping the movements of stars and other celestial bodies. He loved to express his curiosity and creativity this way without having to actively engage with other people.

When he was about 7, Finn got handed a book to read while he would wait for his parents to finish work. After an hour or so he decided to take a break, but the pages continued to turn. He was quite confused and didn't initially realize what was going on but as soon as he did, the book suddenly shut and he was left speechless.

ReducioBeatrice was born to Sophie Woods, a full Veela. The temper her mother had would make anyone listen to her. Sophie had met someone while in a flower garden, he was kind and funny but he was just a pure-blood. Not a Veela. Sophie's parents had insisted the entire family must be Veela, if they weren't everyone was told not to get attached. Sophie had listened to what her mother had said and attempted to get rid of him by walking away when he tried to talk to her. But he would not leave. He admitted that he was in love with her. Not only her beauty, but he respected her. Eventually, Sophie let him in and they became close. She began realising that she was in love with him too. Her parents attempted to make up rumours and false things that had never happened to sabotage their relationship, but they were ignored.
Beatrice is very similar to Sophie. The same beautiful face, the long blonde hair. Her eyes were the most beautiful thing about her. Her mother had told her that she was Part-Veela but Beatrice received a lot of attention because of her beauty and it irritated her. She was slightly ashamed of being a Part-Veela whenever she was out with friends, Beatrice would be the one to get most of the attention and this annoyed her. It wasn't only her there. She begged her parents to let her change her appearance by wearing makeup or changing her hair. But her parents managed to get the reason why.
Beatrice like slightly that she would get attention from people, but also knew there was risks of negative attention and the negative attention was the reason she wished to change her appearance. Beatrice had never met her father's parents. They disapproved of the fact that Sophie had married her father. As her father, John's parents found having an ability or a different race a threat. It was not a positive thing in their eyes.
Sophie had been trying to help Beatrice gain confidence in her appearance. It had helped a lot. Beatrice now didn't feel the need to cut her hair every month. To wear brightly coloured makeup every day. She was being herself.
Beatrice grew her pretty blond hair out, her eyes became more magical day by day. The few freckles she had on her nose were cute to her now instead of odd-looking spots.
When she was out and about she ignored people that attempted to make her feel bad about herself and carried on being her. She believed people that tried to make her feel bad about appearance or personality were simply jealous. Beatrice knew she was beautiful and didn't need anyone to tell her so.
She still gained lots of attention due to her beauty and kind personality. But she had a raging temper when she needed to get somebody to listen to something important or if someone was ignoring her.
She managed to gain a slight control over her temper but it would never leave her.
She was now proud of her appearance and happy with herself.
Character History:
ReducioBeatrice grew up in a very supportive home. Her mother, Sophie was always helping Beatrice with every little thing she'd ask within reason. And her father, John, was also kind and helpful.
Beatrice's sister, Alexia hadn't contacted the family since she'd left Hogwarts. This had a bad effect on Beatrice as they were very close. Alexia had sent an owl last when Beatrice was seven, but nothing since. Even though Beatrice missed her sister greatly, she didn't let it stop her from being happy as she knew it was Alexia's choice to stop contacting them.
Beatrice is a massive bookworm and loves to write her own short novels. Her books mostly revolve around living in a forest as she loved wandering through the forest in their backgarden.
They have two ragdoll cats, Penny and Poppy.
Overall, despite Alexia not sending them owls, Beatrice had a very happy childhood.

ReducioBeatrice was sitting by the stream in the forest behind the back of their house, playing with the rocks. There were all different kinds of rocks and Beatrice was choosing some for her new rock collection. She found some with little fossils in, one that had lots of little rocks in it and many more.
She picked up one of the ones that had a little fossil in it and as soon as it touched her fingers it levitated from her very hand, as soon as she realised what was going on the rock had began its slow descent back down to her hand.

When she was old enough to think, she set about it. She made up stories and characters for herself, just for fun. She was rather sad when she realized that Martin, her imaginary best friend, didn't really exist. At the age of ten, his parents gave him a small but useful camera, which quickly became his favorite and most used object, even more so than his own toothbrush. She took him everywhere, to take the best and the worst moments, something to entertain her and give her a hobby, a passion, something to have fun with.
Rowan and her parents didn't get along very well with the girl, for for one thing, she was always spying on them, this cunning little girl. Camera in hand, she captured everything about everything, including the most shocking moments, such as the birth of a second little brother for the open-minded young girl.
Also like the time his parents were worried about his magic story. All this was only expiated when one of the Hogwarts professors came to explain the magical situation to them. Her parents had to leave their daughter with a rabid twenty-year-old boy and a baby boy who was only a few months old. At least they were very proud of her.
The girl is as Irish as she is Italian, her father having been born in Ireland like her and her mother in Italy. They currently live in Waterford, Ireland, such a beautiful city but spend part of their summers in Italy.

He has a little sister called Thalia Richardson, two years younger than him, that absolutely adores him and thinks the world of him. It is because of this that he is very protective of his sister to the point that he will start a fight if he finds out that she is being bullied.
While in muggle school, he wasn't particularly the worst at maintaining his grades, but he was also not a straight A student. Or a B student... Well, at least he is able to maintain C's, though that is because while he is smart, he doesn't really apply himself to what he has to do. There were several talks between the teachers and his parents, all of which he was forced to be there, that they all know how smart he can be if he actually tries.
First Instance of Magic: It all started one day when Leon was walking back home from school one day, stopping by his sisters school to pick her up on the way there when he saw her getting bullied. There was no thought, just his vision going red. He acted out of instinct, reaching his hand out, meaning to get into a physical altercation with the instigator only for confusion to take him by surprise as the bully would watch in horror as scales of a gecko would pop up all over his own arms.
He would stand there confused for a minute until his little sister managed to drag him away and back home. Later that day, the family would be visited by someone that worked in the Ministry of Magic and talk to Leon about the incident. The bully was turned back into a normal human and had to be Obliviated of those memories to not expose the magical world to the muggles. As for Leon? He was told to keep his anger in check until he would get a letter from Hogwarts. Only a day later, he would get that letter.

He had figured out a kind of loophole in terms of his own emotions and the power of the metamorphmagi abilities. If he always acts a certain way, then he would stay himself unless if he actually loses his cool. Hence, Leon chooses to always be mischievous, perfect for hiding his powers through nearly distorted emotions.
Now don't get him wrong, there were times in which he has had arguments with his parents about trivial things that would make his hair red for a day. It is usually when this happens that he just stays home and his parents call the school to let them know that he was 'sick'. If there were any problems at school, Leon would just act mischievous in order to play off what his emotions really are, and thus tricking his own abilities.
It wasn't until his first instance of magic, when he had defended his sister against a bully, that a) he gave the bully Gecko scales on his arms, but unbeknownst to him, his hair turned red with little bumps of horns popping out. If it wasn't for his sister's fast thinking, more people would have found out about the magic rather than just the bully.
After his run in with someone that worked in the Ministry of Magic, they had told him to work on his anger issues. Leon at first thought it was because they don't want another person being turned into a partial gecko, but after some thought, and looking in a mirror, he realized that his hair was red. How long has it been red for? And were those little horns sticking out of his hair? He would sigh to himself, so this is what that ministry bloke meant. He thought he could fake it till he made it, but it seems that his anger is the supposed chink in the armor that could reveal that he was in fact a metamorphmagus. He would lay down to try and calm his nerves, trying his best not to think of that person that was bullying his little sister. And eventually, his hair turned back to normal along with the horns were now gone.
Sighing, Leon would have to constantly remind himself to steer clear of situations that makes him mad, and if possible, just try and laugh it off. But if it had to deal with someone hurting his sister, he isn't sure that he would be able to control his anger and as an extent, his metamorphmagus abilities.

While the part in your backstory with trying to control it but only being able to change based on emotions at that young age is very good and does align with lore, the part about when he first showed it doesn't quite align. The ability would start showing signs from a very young age (since toddlerhood, at the latest). Also keep in mind that while he could make small bumps resembling horns, it would not be full-fledged animal horns.

The revised backstory answered my questions and the encyclopedia looks great, there is only one thing that will need correction (sorry this was not identified before). I was talking with the index team and we feel that the first instance of magic is a bit too powerful for what should be possible, as complete human transfiguration is very advanced magic. Could you please revise that to be something a bit more mild? Perhaps the bully could get some sort of animal part (think Dudley with the tail) or some other gecko-like feature (green skin or something)? Rather than being completely transformed into a gecko?
If you make that correction, dialing down the first instance of magic a bit, I can accept your registration!

ReducioOn Uri's maternal side of the family, the ability to be a Metamorphmagus had been passed down for well over two hundred years. No one knew specifically when it had entered into the gene pool, they just knew it had been there for a while. Throughout their history, their family had embraced the idea of public service and serving the Ministry of Magic (of wherever they lived) however they could. Not every person born into the family had the ability (in fact, Uri was the fourth in 200 years), but those who did always put it to good use to serve. His forebearers with whom he shared the ability became Aurors, or, simply spies. They would use their powers to change their appearance to blend in and go places they would be otherwise unwelcome. Indeed, in many cases, they found information vital to thwarting nefarious dark wizards using their abilities to blend in.
In Uri's case, the first signs of his ability showed up fairly late. There were no shifts during his time as a newborn but towards the end of his infancy, they started to pop up. The first time was when his father was bouncing him on his knee. Uri enjoyed the sensation very much, so much so that as he was chuckling (which turned into mirthful laughter), not only his face but the hair on his head also turned bright red. His hair was still so thin at the point that his parents laughed it off thinking he was just very red from the excitement. The next time it happened, however, was a bit harder to explain away. Uri really loved the TV show Bluey, and one day he was watching it with his dad and he was so happy and laughing so hard, his hair turned the same shade of blue as Bluey. It was then that his mother understood. A Metamorphmagi had not been born into the family in three generations, but Miriam remembered that, as a child, her grandfather David would entertain her and the other children by changing his appearance at will (she was especially fond of his taking the appearance of her grandmother).
When Uri found out he was a Metamorphmagi, he was very excited and found it was just about the coolest thing ever and wanted to explore it, but he had no idea how to and his mother couldn't exactly help him because that was a gift she never had. Still, he tried and tried to focus and, well, do whatever he was supposed to in order to make it happen but most of the time it didn't work. He did, however, make some progress as he continued his "practice". When he was seven years old, Uri and his father were watching an Everton match on the telly when his favorite player, Seamus Coleman, scored the winning goal deep into stoppage time. Uri got so excited jumping around and celebrating that he turned his hair the same shade of blue as the Everton kits. He would’ve happily gone to school the next day with it, but to save his parents from explaining why they let him do this, he focused very hard and, for the first time, managed to change his hair back to its natural color.
As he continued to grow he did master little bits of his abilities but the bits were very little indeed. He was able to shift his hair color at will for the most part, and he could occasionally shift his eye color. More practically, on one occasion he chipped one of his nails and he was able to grow it back out using his ability.
Character Backstory:ReducioUri was born to his father, Rowan Davies, a muggle-born wizard from Liverpool, and his mother, Miriam, a pureblood who was originally born in Tel Aviv before moving to England when she was three years old. Uri also has a sister, Eden, who is currently four years old. Despite the age gap, Uri is very close to his sister. He is very protective over her and would throw down with anyone who tried to hurt her.
His home life was truly idyllic. His parents weren’t rich, in fact at times they barely scraped by, but he never went hungry, and most of the time he wanted for nothing. Miriam became a functionary at the Ministry of Magic. Rowan bounced around different shows in Diagon Alley and Hogsmede, often working as a stockroom clerk or cashier until he outstayed his welcome. No one could ever prove it but there were suspicions following him around that suggested items might get lost around him. These suspicions were of course well founded. Rowan’s father was a muggle who was a Logistics Officer in the RAF and continued to ply his trade of logistics once he got out, loosely working for some of the underworld elements in Liverpool. These skills were passed down to Rowan and he did much the same thing as his father. Nothing too big or too egregious but enough to ensure his family was well taken care of. However, Rowan was determined that his son do better than him and resolved to do as much as he could ensure that Uri wasn’t exposed to the shadier side of his life.
Uri’s parents were determined that he would not be raised by other friends and family or a nanny. Once Miriam had gone back to work, they would set their schedules so that there was always someone home to take care of Uri. He was always well-supervised and well-taken care of. When he became school-aged, they agreed he should go to a muggle primary school. That way he would learn about that part of his heritage and how that world functioned, and would also have a basic education to build on once he went to Hogwarts.
Growing up, Uri's best friend was a muggle neighbor named Oliver, but everyone called him Olli. Sometimes, especially when they were up to no good (so really most of the time), they were referred to as Olli and Uri, the Trouble Twins. They never got in very serious trouble and it was really always just childhood mischief. While he was always a decent student, Uri had a lot of trouble focusing in class and doing what he was supposed to. This, coupled with his and Oliver's "bad behavior" led to him being diagnosed as being borderline ADHD, although his parents were simply of the opinion that he was an energetic and mischievous little boy who would outgrow it. For his tenth birthday, Rowan took Olli and Uri to the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park. After the game, Uri was lucky enough to meet his hero, Seamus Coleman, and get his autograph. It was the happiest moment of his young life.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioHe had his first instance of magic when he was 5 years old. His parents had bought him five balloons for his fifth birthday party. His parents had hired a muggle magician to do magic tricks for Uri and some of his muggle friends from the neighborhood. For whatever reason, Uri was particularly enamored with the magician pulling the long, interlinked, chain of handkerchiefs from his sleeve. Finally, when the last one was pulled, Uri was so full of mirth and laughing so hard that two of the balloons - the red ones - suddenly popped. They matched the color of the last scarf. They played it off to the muggles that it was just a freak accident but his parents knew then and were ecstatic.

This is because you see all your friends, and you mess about with your friends while in class. Having friends with you at school just makes the whole day better.

Emiline was out on a walk a week before her 10th birthday and she saw a really pretty flower in a tall tree. And she decided to climb it and pick it. She shimmied along the tree branches and she could see the flower on her left. It was a little far from the main branch that Emiline was hugging. So, she decided to stretch out her arm, but she was still too far away. She sat up and squeezed the branch tightly with her thighs. She leant over closer to the flower and she was so close. But she lost her balance and slipped. She managed to grip onto a branch but with her weight it snapped. The wind whistled though her hair and Emiline thought that it would really hurt with the momentum she was going. Suddenly , she slowed down, she was falling as if she was in slow motion. Then when she was an inch to the ground, she faceplanted. Getting a mouthfull of dirt. She was fine, no injuries except to her dignity of course.
