My mistake, the director doesn't actually possess it, but I still don't understand why it's listed as a skill.

It used to be one, but it was removed as it is not fair for someone to have the ability to kill off other characters, potentially without the consent of the other writer. Thus, it is still on the list for paper trail, but as it is noted that it is not an ability one can take, it is not usable.Harry Branddor wrote: 5 Feb 2026, 00:00 My mistake, the director doesn't actually possess it, but I still don't understand why it's listed as a skill.

I understand, there could be a mechanism just for duels or just for RPs and the main stories of the site.

The other issue with Avada Kedevra is that once a character is dead, we can't bring them back, so that person would be required to deactivate their dead character, and create another character. If this happens before they can create a new character (6 months on the current character), then they're stuck waiting however long to make a new character.

Since we are on the topic of dead characters, can a character die?

Yes, but once a character dies, they cannot be brought back to life. Basically, your dead character will be deactivated and if you have been on the site for at least six months you will create a new character, but if you haven't been on the site for at least six months you have to wait until you hit the six month mark to create a new character.Lauren Wong wrote: 8 Feb 2026, 14:41 Since we are on the topic of dead characters, can a character die?

So that is a potential RP storyline? If someone wishes to deactivate, the can RP their character dying? Is this allowed by the sites rating???? Or is murder allowed?Avery Gray wrote: 8 Feb 2026, 15:27Yes, but once a character dies, they cannot be brought back to life. I do know that one girl did kill off her character because she wanted to deactivate. It was a simple death that wasn't going into detail. She choked on fries. Site rating allows death/murder as far as I know if you don't go into a lot of detail.Julia Evans wrote: 9 Feb 2026, 15:32So that is a potential RP storyline?
