Are there dark wizards and criminals in this RP? 🤔

Remember faith and love, these will be your most powerful spells.

Technically, we do have characters that are criminal witches/wizards because of the Azkaban system. Dark Arts are still technically used in current wizarding society, with spells such as hexes and jinxes being a sub-set of dark magic by default of their nature. However, if you mean followers of the Dark Lord/death eaters, those are no longer in existence :sweatingbullets:

Are non-staff allowed to answer these questions? lol

Using any of the Unforgivable Curses are still against the law IC'ly, but Avada Kedavra specifically is against the rules OOC'ly too.

Well, for example; after graduation, a student decides to delve deeper into the dark arts in a role-playing game. How would they simulate that? How would they become a dark wizard? It's not my case, but this question about the site's possibilities crossed my mind before going to sleep.

I’ll edit this post with some links in a few, but I would say this is possible! We’ve got a prison system for that reason. So you COULD do crime, you just would run the risk of going to prison.

Anything you’d do would need to align with the site rating, so keep that in mind.

Becoming a dark wizard could come in lots of different shapes and forms. A lot of it would likely come down to ideology & tactics. Avada Kedavra is NOT a player option, but there are restricted spells & potions, and also Crucio and Imperio, which do take up an ability slot.

If Avada Kedavra is forbidden, then why does it exist in the game as a skill? Some even have that skill.

As far as I know, no one has the skill because it says it is not for players. :)

So only moderators can have it? For example, the director? If it's not possible, why is it listed among the skills?
