| x | 𝔗he day of the game had finally come and the anticipation had almost done Greta in. Honestly, whose bright idea was it to schedule the quidditch games for the last two days of the camp?! By now, she'd had so much fun riding all the rides, gorging herself on sweets and fair food, and falling distracted to all the exciting events and activities that it had been quite the whiplash for her last night trying to get her mind back into any semblance of game mode. Especially when she remembered how there would be no Hanya or Slava flying amongst their ranks this time. Or how this would be her own last international game. It had been enough to make her cry, the fragile Norwegian having curled up in @Felix Kolbeck's arms and soaking his pillow until fatigue had finally claimed her. At least she'd slept well after that, the Embarco teddy he'd gifted her tucked tightly under the crook of her elbow. Nothing quite like a good sob to deplete the body. She'd awoken later in the morning, red nosed and puffy eyed. Not even a well placed freezing charm on spoons pressed against her face had been enough to bring down the swelling. So when it had come time to prep for the game, she had resigned herself to liberal use of black face paint, taking her time with the addition of extra embellishments and runes to denote the significance of the game. She even went so far as to dab on a bit of shimmer along her cheek bones. Her hair was treated with very much the same level of care, unruly curls tamed into large complex braids threaded through with beads and charms. ![]() The process served to pull herself out of her head and into the present moment, such that by the time they had gathered in the locker room, her head was clear and focused on the objective as she absorbed everything that their dear @Valentin Schnell had to say. Or so she thought. She wouldn't be sad that this would be the last speech, she told herself over and over. She wouldn't cry. Her fingers laced more tightly into those of Felix's, squeezing his hand as though ensuring she was well anchored. She wouldn't.. Mistakes were made when cerulean eyes glanced about the team, settling just long enough on @Amina Petrovic to clock the waves of emotion battering against her expression. Greta's resolve cracked. "Mimi..." Tears streamed silently down her cheeks, carving blurry lines down through her carefully applied makeup as she rushed to accept the girl's embrace, one arm wrapping around Amina, the other slipping to hug tightly at @Madhup Hexum. "I love you, too," Greta blustered, sniffling, head nodding along furiously with the her sentiments. The trio really was unstoppable. In some ways, it was really a shame that they weren't all continuing on to play Quidditch professionally. They could go down as legends. "Let's give them a game they'll never forget. Drive fear so deeply into their hearts that they'll never think to challenge Durmstrang again, even once we're gone." "Let's do this!" She called more loudly, hands clapping her cheeks in quick succession as though to snap herself out of her sappiness. "Let's get ready for battle!" Darting back to where she'd been standing, she rocked upon her tippy toes to give Felix a kiss on the cheek with a mischievous, "avenge me in battle if I fall", before reaching for her broom. "Ready?" Eyes rested on their captain until he gave them the signal to depart. She was among those at the front of the line when the Durmstrang team and their plus one burst from the lockerrooms. In her hand, she lofted a long rod, its end connected to a great draconian visage, mouth agape with rows of jagged teeth. The fabric shimmered with thousands of little scales, the eyes glowing with harmless flames trapped within bubbles that had been sewn into the pattern. Hers was only one of six, situated on the right-most end of a massive mythological monstrosity held aloft by the combined efforts of every member of the team. The first-string had the responsibility of directing the six heads, while the second-string managed the amphibious body and sail-like serpentine tail. She varied her flight, putting on as much of a performance as she could manage as they flew the fabric beast around the stadium, the jaw of her head occasionally dipping to snap at members in the crowd. If there was one thing that could be said about Durmstrang, it was that they never lacked for flair.

In the role of Chaser, as a free action if the user of this broom is successful in the quafflegrab they can as a free action pass the Quaffle to another user in an attempt to score. There is a chance of the quaffle being intercepted, however due to the fact that the user is "so fast" with the quaffle this would be considered "surprising" and the attempt to score would be done at +3 accuracy by the player it was passed to in an attempt to score.
(Note: The attempt to score would be an automatic attempt by the user that catches the passed quaffle.)
In the role of Chaser, if you have a contested quaffle grab and a contested strength roll between yourself and another user is in progress, unless they have the same broom, you would be the victor of the contested quaffle grab. In addition, rounds where you are successfully carrying the quaffle in an attempt to score, you only take half-damage from bludgers and blatching attempts.
In the role of Seeker, if an opponent attempts to Bludger or Blatch you, there is a 20% chance that you veer out of the way the last second and another enemy player at RANDOM is targeted instead.
(Note: The new target still gets their normal dodge attempt. This is not considered to be an auto-dodge, in fact this roll is done before any accuracy rolls are done.)

"Feddra! Feddra! Feddra!" ("Battle! Battle! Battle!") The chant boomed out across the pitch in the language of the Giants as Kazimir flew in formation with his newfound team. The huge dragon puppet fashioned after Zmey, the multi-headed beast of western lore was proudly held high overhead as they flew. Old stories would tell of the Slavic legend and the beast's association with chaos, destruction and greed. Just like the myth, Kazi would be consumed by these malevolent desires. The part-giant wanted a win! Whatever the cost! Given the chance he would enter this fray with his trusty bat as his weapon of choice and he would let the battle frenzy consume him until either his opponents or he lay vanquished upon the ground!
"Comrades!" Kazi now spoke in Russian to his teammates. "It is an honor to fight in this union! Victory above all!" Again his deep voice would bellow. Though he sounded like a warrior preparing for the last fight, the boy would be smiling from ear to ear. Quidditch is life and life is good!

Midori glanced around the pitch at the other quidditch players as she entered it herself, careful not to let her narrow-eyed gaze linger too long on any one person as she did so...no matter how much she might have yearned to. There were at least a couple of individuals she wanted to get a good look at, but she didn't dare just then and quickly lowered her eyes again for fear of being caught staring. She couldn't have Valentin Schnell noticing. Nor Sara Kohana.
The quiet, shy-seeming young lady had appeared to replace Ginyami Midorimori after the Mahoutokoro keeper had fallen hard from his broom to the pitch's dirt ground during a mock quidditch match that had taken place on August 20th. From the medical tent, it was said he had insisted on making a quick trip to St. Mungo's to heal up as fast as he could. However, it must have only been physically that he had been healed, because instead of Ginyami returning to summer camp after his ordeal, Midori Hikari had shown up to take his place. That included his spot as Mahoutokoro keeper in the official summer 2025 quidditch match played between international teams.
Despite most not seeming to know her, however, Midori seemed strangely familiar with most of the people she encountered. Either she had done her research or she simply didn't speak much because she asked no questions about her teammates, their positions, or anything else during planning and strategy among teammates; she only watched and listened.
Her smiles were small, apologetic, and meek and her gaze was almost always downcast, rarely ever looking up as if she was afraid to meet peoples' eyes. There was always an uncertainty about her, like she wasn't quite sure what to do but she didn't have the courage to ask anyone anything. Still, she bravely took to the sky on Ginyami's Oakshaft 79, determined to do her best in the role she had been given to take Ginyami's place.

Reducio- In the role of Keeper when you attempt to block your goal, if your opponent somehow has advantage on attempting to score a goal, that is negated (they only have their normal single roll against you).
- In the role of Keeper a critical success on an attempt to block a goal not only means that the Keeper caught the quaffle but they have also successfully passed the quaffle (without a chance of interception) to an allied target of their choice. A critical failure in this case cannot happen for a Keeper, they get to re-roll the attempt to block.
Note: Critical failure and critical success chances can be expanded with certain abilities and skills.
- In the role of Keeper, if the Keeper effectively blocks an attempt to score rather than obtain possession of the quaffle they can kick the quaffle at the user who attempted to score. This must be declared at the time actions are submitted. This would have damage like a bludger using an accuracy roll to hit and the user's strength score to determine the amount of damage done. If the quaffle hits or misses the target, a quafflegrab the next round would be necessary to determine which team has possession of the quaffle again.
OOC Note: Midori Hikari is Ginyami Midorimori presenting as female.

┏ ┓ It wasn't going to be a fair match. Against Durmstrang, it rarely was. They had already won in Madhup's mind, so playing out the game was a formality, pageantry for the masses. Yet as the infamous Number Nine marched to the lockers with his team, his gait lacked its trademark pregame swagger. Mad's eyes were shifty and his mouth was set in an abnormally uncharismatic line. Usually, he'd be chomping at the bit to get on the pitch, whereas today his reluctance couldn't be more blatant. This wasn't just any international game: it was his last one. To play it would mean the end of a team that had changed him fundamentally. For years, his mentors had hung the threat of losing Quidditch over his head to keep him in line. It was the driving factor behind his behavioral overhaul, the one factor that motivated him to try in class, a dangled carrot which unwittingly led him to becoming a happier, kinder, overall better version of himself. Now the Varápidos braced across his shoulders weighed heavy as a log intended for his own crucifix. Each step towards the pitch pressed him a little further into the muck, until the short trek felt like a long slog.
It was @Amina Petrovic- barreling into them like a bludger- that snapped Mad from his funk. Her weight was a different pressure altogether, something grounding and whole, as if the arms squeezing he and @Greta Fransson into the Chaser Trio's last embrace were holding together the splintered pieces of a heart. The smooch pressed to his cheek brought on a bittersweet grin, and as Greta's tears spilled and started to splotch her makeup, he tutted and reached around to fix it. "Shh shh, hey, none of this now...." This gutted him, really, it did. But the tears welling in Mimi and Greta's eyes forced him to swallow down whatever grief plagued him, inspiring the bravest of faces. Now wasn't the time to check out. They needed to be wholly present, to savor every brutal instance of the last great fight. Mad would pluck an eyeliner pencil from his pocket to offer an emergency touch-up. It was special, he'd insist- the last one he'd stolen borrowed and forgotten to return to @Johannes Sauer. Then his hands curled at the backs of their necks, and after pausing to admire them both- beaming with pride and gratitude- Mad drew them in to collectively conk their foreheads. "Love you girls. Go be terrible."
On entering the pitch, he fruitlessly skimmed the far-off stands for signs of @Dealla Prince, pressing three fingers to his lips and raising his hand- like he hadn't had his fill of sending her kisses after their booth escapade. All tender affections for his team and favorite Hogwarts student dropped once he came close enough to examine the opposing team. Mad observed each as if scouring for weaknesses, particularly sizing up the enemy Chasers, undoubtedly deciding whether he was going to fight for the Quaffle or act as a human battering ram as always. There were no snarky remarks from him this go around, but perhaps it was worse off to leer at the other players with contemptuous, cutthroat certainty that they'd lost before they began. It was the showmanship from @Jamie Carville that changed the pace of things. Her bloodthirsty grin, the brutality of her gesture, and that sprinkling of theatrics filled his heart with an odd brand of hope. If in any way he had inspired another player to fly with all they had- even if it was an opponent- his time on the team had been worthwhile. Mad sneered and flipped her a middle finger just to keep the sap from encapsulating his entire heart in a ball of amber.┗ ┛ Action: As strategized. ❀ »»»» QUIDDITCH - Durmstrang-Koldovstoretz vs Mahoutokoro-Castelobruxo- SUMMER 2025 【 August 30, 2025 ✿ 4:00 PM 】❰▬▬▬❀▬▬▬❱Scary, when did Quidditch get this scary? Well, if you were going up against what looked like a team of powerhouse, you would be too. A chance for victory looked slim, it would've been easier to just give up now… right? That would've been Miharu's first choice yet here she was, ready to play Quidditch despite what it looked like a losing battle.
Perhaps she has Sara Kohana to thank for that, for adding more to the courage that she had been slowly building over time and besides, this was their last game together and soon enough, they will leave the school. It made her feel a bit of guilt for all the times she had avoided him ever since the tragedy of Hogsmeade happened. She had lost a lot of time and she could've used that to know him better. Instead, she spent it all trying to avoid him, her whole Quidditch team. Playing with them again is the least she could do to make up for the lost days and hopefully, she will last until the end.
Highly unlikely but miracles sometimes happen. Just not all the time. Still, it never hurts to pray for one to happen.❰▬▬▬❀▬▬▬❱Mentions »»» @Sara Kohana | @ | @

Game day. It was her fourth internationalgame, and even if she hadn't really played in those games, she was fine with staying benched if it meant that Val was catching the snitch every time. Not next year though. Astrid would go to first string for the next international game, and she was excited, but she was also sad to say goodbye to those who were leaving the team. Johannes, Slava, Romeo this year. Val, Greta, Amina, Madhup next year. Speaking of Amina, she was high-fiving a part of the team, the embroideries of her tribute armband shining, before winking and blowing kisses to Felix and Astrid. The seeker caught the kiss with her hand and returned the gesture. It was the last big game of most of the team, and they were rightfully emotional.
The team got on their brooms and made their entrance. Astrid had her usual beat-up black Converse and eye makeup. Durmstrang and their Koldovstoretz beater made their entrance as a six-head dragon, with first string as the heads and second string as the body. They were all holding rods that were attached to a fabric dragon. Astrid was in the back with Kazimir and Felix. "Comrades" said Kazimir. "It is an honor to fight in this union! Victory above all!" Astrid cheered before saying with a voice loud enough for the whole team to hear her "Let’s do this guys! We have a winning streak to continue!"

Durmstrang-Koldovstoretz vs Mahoutokoro-Castelobruxo
Before the game, the little ghost had spent about ten minutes just going through his notebook and picking out some of the dried and pressed flowers and sprigs that he would like to take along this journey of the day. Before that even, he had presented Valentin with a crown of flowers that wound and circled around each other to fit and and sit snugly on the Seeker's hair, some of the stems purposefully tangling into the strands so that the wind pressure of flying a broom could not cause him to lose the crown. What an unintended image that would paint for the game, no, Semyon had to ensure the crown remained where it was meant to be. A few laurel sprigs but mostly the gladiolus and peony flowers, a well-meant boost in luck and success. The graceful flowers also simply lend their beauty and and complimented the stark white of the Seeker's hair. @Valentin Schnell
For himself he had picked dried petals and flowers of a few daffodil and a snapdragon and began to twist them into the bristles of his Firebolt. He would also add a third part, a twig that he wound across the front of his broom handle, making. These flowers and sprig would serve him well for this game, so that Durmstrang might come out on top of this situation, or so he hoped. The bee hive would be proud at work, having lost some of their most efficient workers and having to make up for it in different ways.
The start of this match came with the whole team riding their brooms into the field with a dragon in toe, змей Zmey. A wondrous beast with many stories attached to its name. They would carry his image, made of cloth and held together with sticks, with pride. Semyon flanked the left-most side of the multi-headed dragon.
Only after making their full entrance, did the ghost resume the natural course of the game, this time he would fly to the hoops instead of heading towards the benches. He gave a small nod to the sprig that wound across the handle of his broom. A branch that by itself might feel out of place to some, but would carry meaning as the cedar wood - which he had recognized to be the same material as the boy's wand when he had caught a glimpse of it - stood in stark contrast to the dark wood of the Firebolt, a fair representation of this team's previous Keeper @Johannes Sauer, now graduated as Semyon would momentarily share the honor of taking his place in the hopes of making the school proud.
He would be ready.

——Felix Kolbeck, second string chaser and professional feelings-avoider, had never been the kind to weep pre-game or post-game for that matter. When he joined the Durmstrang team he had expected it to be brutal but it was mostly hugs, kisses, and dramatic speeches before each game.
... He could never let any of them know he enjoyed it. Even when Val had made his speech and asked them if it was fine to dip into his mind, he had grunted a response along the lines of, 'whatever, you already know what's going on up there most of the time anyways'. He didn't think much of it.
He caught Greta just before she pulled away. Did she really think she could sneak away after just kissing his cheek? Unlikely. He pressed a kiss to her jaw before whispering in her ear, "you don't just get to peck my cheek. I'm not some distant relative you haven't seen in a while."
He gently positioned her face, careful not to smudge her battle makeup. He smiled down at her and kissed her, a steadying one, no teasing or snark threaded between the lines. He still remembered how she had hugged the embraco bear, the sound of her little sobs, how her arms had trembled as she clung onto him. It had shattered his heart, and he wanted to erase it all. But he couldn't punch the passage of time in the face for making his girlfriend cry, so he settled for a kiss. He pulled back to press another to her forehead. "If you fall, I'm catching you. Broom or not," he half-joked, "go give them hell, little treasure."
He was all but lounging on the bench as Amina sent a wink his way, he have her a salute. He hoped she made them bleed, even if she didn't include him in the 'favourite Chaser team mates' speech.
He was fine with not joining them in the sky just yet. His mood was honestly still sour from discovering his animagus. Ugh, it had been so embarrassing. The only person who knew what his animagus form was, aside from the people at the ministry and their headmaster, was Greta... Mostly because he couldn't keep it from her. He could, however, ignore her when she begged to see his new form. He wasn't ready to show her, to tell her how embarrassing it was to find out your inner soul manifested in the form of a fucking furry little house cat. He couldn't tell her how devastated he was when he looked at his reflection and prayed he just happened to be a tiny wild cat, but all that came out was a soft 'mew'. For Merlin's sake, what if his friends found out? What if they bought him a collar?! He probably would have done the same to them.

@Boram BorisovaTERRIBLE PRESENCE | PERFECTIONIST | BINDING MARK [BORAM]
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Arno adjusted his grip on the rod as the dragon snaked through the air, snapping in the wind like a banner meant for war. His shoulders were set, posture precise beneath the jersey for Durmstrang, but his eyes remained dark and watchful as they always had been. Sweeping the crowd, then the opposing team, then the sky.
He was first a string now. Beater. No longer watching from the benches. And with him was Boram, of all the people. Their odd companionship and Arno had somehow survived the school year. Their connection had and now translated into something dangerously efficient and possessive. The Binding Mark, a tether humming with steady magic.
It was activated before they even made their way outside. He said in a little shout, voice low pitch and resolute in Russian.
“Победа превыше всего. Пусть Дурмстранг заберёт их души и отнесёт их в загробный мир.”
Victory above all. Let Durmstrang take their soul and carry them to the afterlife.
This was nothing but bravado and shared adrenaline that seemed to be pouring into him by just being in the presence of those around him. Arno didn’t laugh. His expression barely twitched.
The procession moved. The six-headed dragon coiled forward in sync, and Arno’s body fell naturally into rhythm. From the stands, it must’ve looked theatrical. But from inside, there was something feral beneath the symbolism, a collective will shaped into something sharp, A blade of Will.

Smiling like an idiot.
Boram could feel the adrenaline mix with the magic in her blood, coursing through her veins as the chants and cheers echoed outside. Glancing down to see the bats she held, her green eyes looked at the inked connection. She smiled, knowing he could hear her, Победа за Дурмстангом! Victory is Durmstang's!
Not a moment longer, she found herself in the midst of it all, the wind caught her hair and team uniform, while the lights shone on her team. It was almost a dream, just like her father had described to her. A dream she soon shared with the young Arno, whose mind now synchronized with hers as if an invisible strand tied two different souls. Laughing with glee, she looked over to see an adrenaline-tense Arno; they had been assigned to work the same dragon head.
Smile a bit, Arnie! She teased.
Loud sounds were heard as Boram began to clash the two bats in her hands, really going for the ruckus made by a real dragon.
A dragon whose wrath mirrored their team's desire to win.
