XXXThey held eye contact for another few moments before Avis finally blinked. The silent victory gave Eonaria an odd sense of satisfaction. The staring contest was a small, trivial triumph, but it made her feel slightly better anyway. Wait a minute, why am I still standing in this dingy restroom, again? Indulging in one of the most peculiar exchanges, it seems. I haven't eaten breakfast either...

XXXAvis replied with a casual, one-word answer that didn't exactly warrant a response. "Probably." After a small pause, she replied dryly, "...right. Goodbye, then." Eonaria felt a little silly, as if she were 'giving in' first, but standing around all morning wasn't worth getting in the last word. She stepped past the Muggleborn Ravenclaw and pushing open the door, taking care to make as little contact with the potentially-dirty surface as possible. Of course, the house elves liked to clean everything meticulously, and it was early morning, but a school lavatory was still a semi-public lavatory. Merlin knows what goes on in here.

XXXEonaria left the bathroom with a final "Have a nice day," but she didn't quite mean it. It was just a pleasantry, after all. She wasn't too clear on the rules about offensive remarks, but surely something about ill-mannered behavior. Actually, there probably isn't...

Avis stepped to the side as the Gryffindor swept past her. After all, she couldn't risk Eonaria getting a speck of Avis' dirty low-down germs on her, could she? That would be a tragedy. Briefly, she held her hands behind her back, as her eyes followed the girl around her, as if she was now hiding her hands. She meant to keep good on that promise. She was never going to shake hands with this girl. The Gryffindor had missed her chance.

Besides, it seemed only proper, to hide what was certainly the dirtiest part of her body - her hands - from the girl, who she was now referring to in her mind as Empress Eonaria. She smirked a bit. It was fitting, she supposed, considering the careful sweep past the girl made, careful to avoid each speck of dust that may land on her. That seemed proper, so show mock respect to the Empress. That was probably what peasants did back in China, and she respect it. Although, now that she thought about it, if they were hiding their hands, they were probably hiding a knife or something. Oh. That wasn't what she wanted. She pulled her hands back in front of her.

"Have a nice day," Avis looked up with a jerk. She honestly had forgotten the girl was still there. And she could tell what the girl was looking for, too. A sarcastic comment, maybe a fake or rude remark. However, in Avis' everlasting goal to be unpredictable, she did the complete opposite. She brightly smiled at the girl's back. "Have a great day!" As soon as she exited, Avis' smile fell, and she turned back to the mirror, shaking her head a moment before bolting out the door, hoping to get to the dining hall before breakfast ended.
