Time: Afternoon Slot (12.30 to 13.30)
It would have been a better day for Damion if he was watching his boyfriend, Hades duel and would have been cheering him along. But oh well being the Co-Captain of his house, he had duties. No matter how much he wished that he was watching his boyfriend's match, he had to be here to moderate a match at the same time. Without thinking much about what he was missing, Damion thought of concentrating on the work in hand. With a smile on his face, he walked in the middle of the Stage. "Today's match is between the Gryffindors and Hufflepuff. Let me introduce the teams." He said. Pointing in one direction he said "On one side we have Rowan Bellegno, Theo Vendeberg and Kaito Foxglove from Gryffindor house and on the other side we have Violet Rohr, Constanza Jewelweed and Minnie Duke from Hufflepuff house." He said.
He was happy that he was the co captain of Ravenclaw's Dueling Team. He was very much interested in being a part of the Dueling team and helping his house win whenever he dueled. But right now, he was moderating a duel. "Duellers wand ready!" He said looking at them. "Start" He added with a smile as he walked away from the dueling area so he wouldn't get hit.

When Kaito first looked over the list of matches and their participants, he was surprised at the relief that washed over him. He really hadn’t invested too much time in worrying about his duel because he believed that losing wasn’t going to be the end of the world for him. At some point, he started seeing the activity as a way to get some active practice with spells and he’d forgotten the reason why he signed up in the first place. But the feeling when he saw who he was competing against decidedly reminded him.
That reassurance meant that he cared about this and it had been a long time since he gave a damn about anything other than which desks were the comfiest for sleeping on. Would duelling be the thing that introduced him to his former self? That was left to be seen, but he liked its odds
Reassured as he was, he definitely wasn’t underrating his opponents. No, he knew that each of them had to be skilled if they were standing across from him. The only reason that some sense of comfort graced him was that everyone standing on the piste — with the exception of the moderator — were first years. The rest of the matchups weren’t like that. Even his good friend Pyxis had an uneven duel on the piste adjacent to his, but the Slytherin was lucky to be standing on the side of the older years. In contrast, Kaito thought the playing field was pretty even on his end of the room. And unless Cranky had secret magic powers fiercer than her scowl, he was excited that his first duel seemed fair in its matchup.
“We got this, guys,” he acknowledged his teammates as he hopped up and down on the balls of his feet while shaking out his hands. It was a habit stolen from his dance practice and as he aimed his wand, he thought hard about missing the hobby until the moderator called for the match to begin.

Theodore arrived early to the Gryffindor locker room to discuss strategy. For the most part, he was quiet and distant, barely giving any input. He looked exhausted, cautious and wary on account of recent trauma suffered at that year's spring ball. He fully intended on maintaining this low energy attitude as he walked out in the duelling arena, however fate would have other plans. Despite hearing Violet’s name repeated over and over during the strategy discussion, Theo seemed to be incredibly surprised to see her. The boy had simply not connected the dots upon reading the listing and did not realise it was the same Violet who had accosted him in the Trophy room many months prior.
“You!” He shouted upon entering the arena. His low energy completely vanished, replaced with a sudden surge of raw frustration. “First the ball planning committee and now this?” He loudly called towards Violet. “If one didn’t know any better, I would have thought you have a crush on me.” He said, in deep sarcasm, drawing his wand. For a moment he had forgotten about the duel all together and almost started casting at his nemesis on whim, however Damion’s voice brought him back to his senses. He scrunched up his face into a hideous frown and stared down the Hufflepuffs. Minnie was also on the ball planning committee, what a bizarre coincidence he thought to himself.

Costanza woke up not knowing how to feel about the day. Was she excited to start slinging spells with zero repercussions? Yes. Did she anticipate learning more about her abilities that seemed quite rare among wizards? Absolutely. Was her stomach doing revolutions like a washing machine at the thought of standing on a stage and practically performing for a crowd? One hundred percent. It was an odd mix of emotions, but it was to her benefit that she was used to it by now and that allowed her to climb on stage with faux confidence. No way in hell would she show her nerves today.The honey badger looked across to her teammates. She had never spoken to them before being put on a team together and definitely didn't know their names until she saw the match lineup. She felt no relief or disappointment while looking at them. The only thing she hoped was that they soaked up the damage so she wouldn't have to look stupid on stage. Was that un-Hufflepuff of Costanza? Of course, as most things were.
Kaito stood across from her, and she scowled at his self-confidence and easy assertiveness. Oh, she would give up many things to mar his pretty features with the spells that she trained endlessly. The thought was enough to put Costanza into a readying stance, but a loud shout caused her to freeze. She stood upright as one of her opponents - not Kaito - accosted her teammate. Her scowl morphed to a cringing expression, not immediately recognizing the sarcasm in his tone.
"Is it really that deep, dude?" She was surprised at her own voice as it lifted to follow the ashen-haired boy's aggressive words. Well, she didn't know her teammates beyond their skill with a wand but after that outburst, Costanza would be loyal to them today. The Gryffindor team simply had to go down.

INTERACTING WITH:Reducio@Theo Vendeberg @ Costanza JewelweedViolet entered the room with grace and confidence, twirling her wand in her right hand. Despite her outward composure, she felt incredibly nervous, her palms sweaty. The pressure of performing spells in front of a crowd, living up to her mother's reputation as an Auror, and facing Theo, who was on the opposing team, weighed heavily on her.
She wasn't afraid of Theo himself, but rather of failing, especially in front of him. She couldn't help but wonder why Theo had chosen to participate in duelling, considering his disdain for the magical community.
Violet remained unfazed by Theo's entrance until he started shouting. A frown formed on her face as she unconsciously mumbled "Chee1" but as she heard Costanza reply, it was quickly replaced by a slight smirk. Violet passed her a quick smile as she mouthed a thankyou to her. "Aww, if it isn't my most favorite person on Earth" she said turning to Theo, her voice dripping with sarcasm, loud enough for her teammates and opponents to hear. She continued,
"Well, well, well, a crush, you say? You should take a good look at yourself in the mirror, boy. I have better things to do than to crush over someone like you. I'm surprised you're still here and haven't gone home crying. The wizard hater has even signed up for dueling. Perhaps you've had a change of heart."
Having said everything on her mind, she turned towards her teammates and said, "Best of luck! I know you guys will do amazing!"Usage of Hindi words and slangs:

I love duel. It is a brand new passion but I am sure that I like it ! It might be something new for me, juste like magic but I mix the two of they and I love it. It is something about mixing knowledge and spells, plus sports and competition. Today, we were playing at uhh... Duel because... That is literally what I said last sentence but yes. That it is all what we do and what we need to.
Yup, I am stressed. Me, Rowan Bellegno, duelling for my house... And if I'm bad at it ? I don't want to be bad and I am not. I just need to concentrate. Yup, Rowan. It is your first and last year at Hogwarts. You need to help your house and to win this duel. "Yeah ! We will win ! Let's go !" I am not anymore. We are a good team and we will win. I am sure about that. Let's go !

Damion looked at the younger students who were duelling there. He was paying close attention to all of them. His eyes glanced from the Gryffindor Students to the Hufflepuff ones.
Theo Vendeberg cast Flipendo on Violet Rohr which hits Violet. Kaito Foxglove to attack Violet Rohr however she missed. It looked like Rowan Bellegno was not focused enough to cast a spell.
Moving on to the Hufflepuff team. First of all Violet Rohr actively dodges the attacks. Costanza Jewelweed who casts a perfect Incendio at Rowan Bellegno. Minnie Duke targets Theo Vendeberg with an impaired hit Incendio only doing half the damage.

Theodore was intently focussed on his spell casting. So concentrated in fact that it was if he was wearing blinders. He could hear one of his team mates shouting an incantation and a split second later a bright hot red projectile shot across the arena and struck the wall, inches from Violet, the Hufflepuff had forgone a spell of her own and was actively evading. The next moment Theo had raised his wand and fired a knockback Jinx in Violet's direction this time finding its mark. "That'll teach y-" His celebration was cut short. An red hot bolt of incendio from the Hufflepuff side hit his shoulder, but it was just a glancing blow. His robes hadn't caught fire. Theo looked up just in time to see Rowan hit by a projectile, setting her ablaze. Instead of showing a minute slither of concern for his teammate, he decided to berate Rowan instead for her inaction. "Get your head in the game!" He shouted as he prepared his wand for his next spell.
