With the change of seasons, the sunrise was starting to become later and later. The air was crisp in the morning, with hints of the expected cooler air. Today, there was even a light wind that made it slightly cooler. Kaitlyn enjoyed that extra wind gust, as it helped keep her from sweating too much. She enjoyed going on these morning runs but knew that it would soon enough start to become more difficult as the temperature cooled enough and the snow started to fall. But, for the time being, she was going to enjoy her runs to the fullest extent.

As it was, Kaitlyn had to change the location she ran past on her runs, trying to find the best route. She eventually decided on one that ran parallel to the Forbidden Forest. She loved to see the leaves turn colors now that it was autumn. She hummed to herself quietly as she ran. Her mind was clear, full of the fresh air around her. While she loved to take care of her outward appearance, she was well aware of how difficult that was, when she was going to be sweating. So, she normally waited until she finished her yoga practice, before finally setting herself up for a great day looking as fine as she could muster. With a happy sigh, she dodged around a tree, as she continued her run back towards Hogwarts.

I ran today, as I do every day, if I can. I like to run, it gets me exercise when I have nothing else to do and I have no one to hang out with. I thought that by arriving here at Hogwarts, I would have made a good friend or a good friend, someone I can count on whenever I want and who will always help me. At the moment, it's all in the negative, so I don't hang out or play with anyone and I spend my time running and then it's a bit of fun.

Autumn had now begun and it was the month of October, the very beginning of which we are the first. The leaves have started to fall and I'm still running non-stop. As I approached the Forbidden Forest, I saw a figure farther away from me, approaching the school a little closer. I ran harder, only to run beside her again. I looked at her and said, "Do you like to run too?" Half audible. I was out of breath and hoping to take a break, one day maybe.

I winked at him and just like that, watched him. Usually, no one has the same habits as me, to run and run and it surprises me. Maybe it's destiny. She had long brown hair and pretty green eyes, not letting my house show. That's good, me neither. You're probably wondering, why is that? To not trust the houses and maybe even make friends, who knows? Well, I think I'll probably find out soon! But who is she ?

Kaitlyn liked to run. Her favorite time to run was early in the morning. There were certainly a lot less students around that early in the morning, but that was not the reason for why she liked it. She liked to run in the morning to start herself up for a good day. Running allowed her to clear off her mind, to help her prepare for the day ahead. Running at night, like she was now, was also fun. Although, for different reasons. Again, lack of students helped. But, the reason for this time change was to help her let off steam. Steam from failing to interact correctly to others. Failure to perform magic. Failure to make friends.

So, it came as a surprise for Kaitlyn, when she saw a girl running near her. ‘Where did she come from? I didn’t even see her come over. Either she’s very fast, or I need to pay better attention. Or maybe, just maybe, it was both. It was a bad habit for sure,’ she thought. She needed to pay better attention to what was happening around her. She breathed heavily from her run, but felt her cheeks redden at the question. She nodded to the girl. “Y-yes,” she stammered, trying to hide it with her breaths. “Do … you … come out … here often?” She asked between her breaths.

I see she didn't see me, at least, it didn't look like it. Once the brunette replied, I realized that she seemed embarrassed and that she thought it was strange that I would approach her like that. I looked a little ashamed, but I kept running, again and again, by his side. How long have I been running? For the last fifteen or half an hour here, I've lost track of time. I just hope I didn't hurt her, that's all! Maybe I was offensive to approach it like that, like that... Oh no...

Actually, I really like this place and I think it's beautiful, it's fun to run here so since I finally discovered this place, I often come here in real life. Trees, autumn, it's just great. So she likes to run, it's cool! At least I'm not rejected with my mini passion. It must be said that I prefer to read. But if I could combine running with reading, it would just be super fantastic! Why not, actually? Well, now I'm doing something else than that... And it's ok! I mean, i don't need to read every time, i like to meet! Maybe because i don't have so many friends...

Kaitlyn silently controlled her speed. She adjusted how fast she was running, to stay on pace with this red-haired girl. ‘I think it’s nice that she’s willing to run with me. I like it when other girls hang out with me. Sure, I’d doubt I’m in any danger here, but it’s nice to just be with someone … and to have someone to talk to … She seems friendly, likely a lot more extraverted than me,’ she thought with a nod. ‘I hope my quiet demeanor doesn’t scare her off,’ she thought. She glanced over at the red-head and smiled shyly. ‘I’m glad she’s here with me.’

“Nice,” Kaitlyn responded quietly. “I … a-agree … It is …. sweet,” she breathed heavily. She briefly cleared her throat and shyly smiled to the girl. “I’m Kaitlyn Connor,” she said, in introduction. “T-thank … you for … coming … over,” she said, between breaths. ‘I’ve met a few other students, but I still have very few friends. While I’m used to being alone at this rate, I don’t particularly like it. I hope to reverse my fortunes on becoming friends with other students,’ she thought. Hopefully her time at Hogwarts would be positive, as she met more students.

Nice. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's nice, the race and takes it to heart. I like to exercise like this and I'm glad I'm not the only one. Running is a reason to move, a reason to work, and a way to have fun. Now, just like that, I've just discovered that this cool sport is also for meeting, I love it even more than before. Why did my life at Hogwarts just begin and I'm just discovering this right now? If I were here before, it'll be just perfect. Perfectly perfect, like i like to say.

It's true that it's sweet here, and she agrees. The fresh air in our nostrils during a race, the autumn in our noses, the freshness and the little coldness, it's all very cute and I'm super happy about it, even if it's not the season I prefer. As much as I love autumn, I really prefer winter for its beautiful fresh white snow. When you think about it, it may be more than anything that there is this snowy in the middle of autumn, because before December 21st, it is!

So she's named Kaitlyn? It's cute! My name, should I tell him then? After all that, I guess it is! "I'm Rowan, Rowan Bellegno! it off to meet you!"

Despite her ponytail, Kaitlyn loved the feeling of the air blowing through her hair. And yet, she was thankful that her hair wasn’t getting everywhere. It was a fine needle to thead. The freedom of her hair blowing, and the restriction to keep her hair in order. That was one of the reasons she liked keeping her hair in a ponytail. But, she still had moments, where strands came out easily. While the strands provided an outlet for her nervous energy, she still didn’t like having them come out at all, in her opinion.

Kaitlyn turned to Rowan and gaver her a smile. “It’s … nice to … meet you … Rowan,” she gave the red-haired girl a bright smile. She adjusted her speed again, still keeping pace with Rowan, but so she wouldn’t be out of breath. She felt weird panting to Rowan, even though they were both doing so. “D-do you normally r-run at this time?” She asked the girl, who looked to be around her age. Her stuttering lessed slightly, due to all the panting she was just doing. Which was more embarassing? Panting in front of a girl, or stuttering in front of a girl? Both were pretty bad, but, she’d go with panting. At least the suttering, she was unable to control it.

Glad to meet me, happy to meet me, it's really cool! I'm glad that someone is doing the same thing as me and that we meet in a good way like this. Maybe it's the beginning of a real friendship! But I don't really know, I approached her very strangely and maybe it was mean, maybe I was weird and maybe she doesn't want to be my friend in the end. Maybe I don't and maybe I have crazy and unachievable ideas, after all. I hope that no!

Well, to try to keep going on the right path, I'm also going to try to be nice! Yes, of course, otherwise it would be too weird and then, at that moment, I would know that no chance would come my way. None, no friends. "Nice to meet you too, Kaitlyn! I've said it before, but I'll say it again, because I'm sincere!" I think that's good, that's happy, that's nice. Kaitlyn attempted to giggle, but found it difficult to do while being out of breath from running. Instead, she gave Rowan a small smile. “Thanks! I’m s-sincere, too,” she replied. "Th-thank you f-for j-joining me," she continued, a light flush on her cheeks. ‘It feels nice to have someone else be so respectful of me. She’s pretty sweet. I hope she likes running with me, like this … then again, Rowan hasn’t run away from me yet,’ she thought, a smile danced on her lips. She normally wasn't a fan of other people seeing her sweating like this, but she didn't mind having Rowan here with her.

At Rowan’s words, Kaitlyn nodded. She wasn’t quite used to running at this time, which was why she was surprised by the girl’s presence, but she quickly appreciated it. “It s-seems like a w-wonderful time f-for it, I’m g-glad you w-were able to find a t-time that f-fits for you,” she responded, sincerely. “I d-don’t always r-run at this time, n-no. I do m-mine a lot e-early in the m-morning … like 6 am e-early. But, t-then again, I d-don’t mind running now, t-too. And, well, I enjoy having c-company, too,” she smiled brightly, despite their continuing to run.

There aren't many sincere people in life. Most of it is hypocritical and the worst part is that it shows. However, what comes with it? The fact that it also shows if it's true and the person is sincere. Whoever we're talking to is telling the truth and right now, yes, Kaitlyn is happy too. It’s making me smile now. I'm happy not to be alone and to have joined her, there are two of us in the end! Is this the start of a friendship? I ended up saying ''At first, I thought you didn't want me to be there, you seemed to be scared.'' That and nothing else, it's quite important and explanatory, period rod.

Early in the morning ? I like it too, there aren't many people. Basically, running in the grounds at Hogwarts, there aren't many people doing that but it's better than a nice afternoon without classes, where there must be like picnics between gangs or lovers . It's quiet in the morning or evening, people stay for dinner or even sleep. ''I like to go run early to, there's not so many people and son many noise. I'm not calm every time but when i'm alone, i can.''

And as usual, we continued running. It was getting long and I was getting closer and closer to Hogwarts. I was thirsty too, too! So I asked Kaitlyn, “Do you want to take a break? I'm starting to feel out of breath and thirsty. If you don't have a water bottle and if you're not disdainful, I can lend you mine'' I affirmed, with good intentions.
