Tracey decided to keep her speech normal, and not rambal. Tracey doesn't usually rambal, so she was shocked when she did rambal slightly. She heard Kaitlyn speak and she nodded her head, and decided to explain it a bit more and said,
"Yes, that's right. But we can also change our eye color and the shape of our nose. I think it's also possible to completely change your appearance to look like a completely different person, but I'm not entirely sure. That's what my mum said too,"
Tracey now took a break. She heard Kaitlyn speak again then heard Minnie speak. She nodded her head at the other two and remembered the reward they'll be getting after this. She then said,
"I'd really like to swim with you guys, and I'm really enjoying myself as well. Honestly, at some point I would've met you two, but I'm glad it was today. I'm really excited to get those slippers. Imma wear them around the common room during winter times, to y'know, keep my feet nice and cozy,"
Tracey took another break from talking, and no one talked. Tracey heard a sign come from Minnie and she turned her attention to the girl, and then saw her deep in her thoughts, probably remembering something. Tracey didn't want to say anything and seem rude, but after Minnie had returned to paying attention, Kaitlyn asked the same thing that was on Tracey's mind, and Tracey added,
"Minnie, you can tell us anything. If its something you don't want us to tell anyone else, ill keep it to myself. And I'm sure Kaite would do the same thing,"

Wow. That is a lot of pets. Quinn thought as Matilde listed off her many pets. A huffelpuff? I would have gone with Gryffindor if I were choosing what house. Quinn wondered if that was judmental then relized that Tilly has asked a question.Outfit:

"Oh, uh I'm a ravenclaw. I kinda wish I was a slytherin but my mum was a ravenclaw so..." Quinn trailed off feeling as if she shared to much.
The wind was blowing way to hard for Quinn's liking. Quinn shivered then looked back at her bag.
"Hey Tilly-is it ok if I go put my sweatpants and jaket on? I'm kinda cold." Quinn grinned at Tilly. I am freezing, that water really chills you. Quinn thought. Quinn moved backward then turned and walked back to her bag. Her sweatpants were blissfully waiting there for her to put on. Quinn quickly pulled them on and felt the warmth flow back to her legs. Happily shivering, Quinn pulled her jacket on and then zipped up her bag.
Quinn walked over to Tilly to say goodbye.
"Hey-Matilde-er Tilly!" Quinn called getting Tilly's attention. Maybe we can hang out in the castle later. Quinn relized.
"Er do you want to meet up in the great hall later-for like lunch or dinner or breakfast?" Quinn waited for Tilly's responce.

@Quinn BrookMatilde nodded at Quinn’s thoughts on her house. She wasn’t really sure houses were based on which your family was in, at least, she didn’t know of anyone in her family who’d been a Hufflepuff. “I wasn’t really expecting mine either,” she said. “My mom was in Ravenclaw too, and my brother. Most of my family thought I’d be in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. I’ve come to realize Hufflepuff actually suits me pretty well, though.”
Quinn looked really cold. Shivering, she said she needed to get changed. “Oh yeah, of course!” Tilly said. “It really is cold out here. I left my warm clothes back at my dorm, silly me.” Quinn put on her sweatpants and jacket. Why hadn’t Matilde brought her clothes down with her? Hugging the towel closer to herself and burrowing her toes into her new slippers, she got up. She was a bit surprised when Quinn called out to her, asking if she wanted to meet up later in the great hall. “Yes, I’d love to!” She said, beaming. “How about lunch…?”She was happy to have met someone new from this adventure. She hoped she and Quinn could become friends. She waved goodbye to the Ravenclaw, and skipped back to the Hufflepuff common room, joyfully.

[quote]Come on, Finn!" June wrapped her winter coat around her as she ran through the snow. It was only after she had gotten ready for the day, waiting outside her common room entrance for Finn, that she realized she had completely forgotten her bathing suit. The one thing she actually needed for the day. Once the Gryffindor arrived, she blurted out quick apologies and ducked back into the common room, sprinting to her dorm, throwing on her bathing suit and donning her coat on top, pulling on her boots as she was running up the stairs.
The whole ordeal got the third year a bit out of sorts, she'd been bumbling over her steps as she felt she'd been running perpetually late all day. A foreign feeling for the girl, and one she didn't want to become familiar with.
She grabbed a stone and a marker from the pile, quickly scribbling on it what she wanted to let go from the previous year. The words came to her as easily as breathing.
Emptiness
Too many times in 2023 did she feel devoid, without, a husk of who she once was. To hell with that, she decided. At this point it almost didn't matter what she felt (almost, the box of emotions was still utilized often), as long as she felt something. A reminder that she was alive.
She held her stone in her hand, slipping off her boots and holding her coat tightly to contain the last moments of warmth. Such an occasion needed to be prepared for, psyched up properly, appreciated to its fullest.
Poor girl, she should know to expect wrenches in her plans by now.

Quinn smiled at Tilly as she said that they could meet up in the great hall at lunch. Great! Quinn thought. Quinn wondered if at first Tilly didn't like being in huffelpuff. Quinn waved goodbye as Tilly skipped back up to the school. Quinn grabbed her bag and pulled it onto her shoulder. Quinn waved goodbye to the caretaker and followed the path back up to the castle. All in all a pretty good way to spend the day. Quinn thought. The wind made Quinn shiver and she walked faster up the path.Outfit:

Quinn finally reached the castle.
"warmth!" Quinn sighed happily as the warmth of the castle's walls hit her. Quinn started the long trek up to the ravenclaw tower and wondered where she should meet Tilly. It's good that I made a friend out of the whole expirence-and I saw Ophelia. Quinn was glad that she had seen her train buddy as she hoped to become close with her. We do both live in Dublin. Quinn thought. Quinn hopped onto a moving staircase and ran up to the ravenclaw entrence door. Quinn barely heard the question it asked before she ran in. Quinn changed into warm clothes and sat down on her bed. I can't wait to meet up with Tilly! Quinn thought.

Minnie started to blush. Ginger newts! They noticed. This isn't good. What should I do? Should I tell them...or not? I don't want to ruin things. I can't keep secrets from my new friends. I'll tell them. I hope it doesn't ruin their opinion of me. She took a deep breath.Outfit:Reducio

"Okay. I-I...something has been...bothering me." Sh gulped. It'll be okay. She thought, not really believing it. "I....well...I've been thinking about a...person. He's a squib, so he can't go here, and I miss him a bunch...but I've also been thinking about in my village-a really small one-word got out that I was a metamorphmagus and everyone thought I was strange and avoided me. They all knew about magic...but they still thought I was strange. And it reminded me of a...girl...she well...she was popular and I bumped into her and she was really mean to me for our first month of school." She tried to smile brightly. "But it's okay now. I'm with you and you're my friends! That's all I need."
Minnie kicked her feet back and forth, hoping they would understand. I hope I haven't ruined this. I'll try to lighten the mood. She smiled, forcing it to be bright and cheery. "Really. I'm good. Friends like you guys are all I need! Do you want to get our slippers and meet when it's not cold? I mean...if you want to." Please say yes. Her mind went. Please keep being my friend. She wished it with all of her heart, but tried to keep a positive face.
Minnie winced in her head when she remembered the bag she left on the shore. That has all my important things! I need to get that. She silently cursed herself for her forgetfulness. "I-have-to-go-get-my-bag-it's-important-so-thanks-be-back-bye!" She said hurriedly to her friends, and scampered off.
When she got to the shore, she looked around for her bag, but couldn't find it. Her mind turned terrified. Gaa! Where is it! Did someone steal it? She stopped panicking for a second to try to think reasonably. The caretaker probably just moved it. It's all fine. She looked a bit farther back, and breathed a deep sigh of relief. It was at the edge of the shore, near the grass. She snatched it up and hurried back to the two other girls, breathing heavily from her run.
"Sorry about that. I forgot my bag." She told them when she regained her breath. Minnie held it up to them to show. "It has a few important things in it." She tried to sound casual, trying to hide how important the bag was to her. She slipped it on and touched the brown leather, making sure everything was there.
I hope they forget. I hope they stay my friends. Her mind started to worry about what she'd said again. She went back to kicking her feet under the water, focusing on its calming ripples. I can keep my friends. They seem to be really great people. It will be fine.

☙ Frost and Foremost, 6th of January 2023 ❧Maybe it was just the prospect of achieving something challenging that appealed to June, but Finn preferred to think something had changed between them. It was as though their outing to Puddifoot's and the time they'd spent together over the holidays had put a different harmony to the same tune. She was still June, bright-eyed and determined like hell, yet free from the judgements that some of her Slytherin peers exhibited. While he was glad to have left the Rhinelander estate alive, their shared misadventure had proved one thing beyond all reasonable doubt: that the Selwyn's didn't much care for blood status and welcomed him into their world like an equal.
The unapologetic opulence and the stiff etiquette observed amongst the pure-blooded was like a whole other world and for the first time since meeting her, he recognized that there were pressures and expectations placed upon June's shoulders that he could scarcily imagine. It was a miracle that she bothered spending any time with him at all given the derision it undoubtedly earned her. Yet here she was, practically beaming, urging him to get a move on.
"You're keen!" he huffed as they settled into a jog toward the lake. They were running late and the slippery, frozen-over grounds weren't exactly helping their mad dash. As one they came to a skidding halt on the ice and while Finn tried to remember the instructions Ms. Greer had given, June had already taken to scribble something on one of the pebbles.
He tried to think of something, anything that fit the bill, but his mind had gone blank like the snow covered landscape around them. He looked to June, the one person that mattered in this cold, empty world, then back to the smooth, empty stone in his hand. Last year had been challenging, but he couldn't imagine having it any other way, because everything that had happened had led him right here, to this moment, little more than another face in the crowd to everyone except himself and June.
He closed his fingers around the stone, slipped out of his robes and politely returned his marker before turning around. Frigid air nibbled at his skin, but he resisted the urge to hug himself for warmth, rather preferring to seem unfazed by the cold as he rejoined with his favorite person in the world. "Ready?"
He didn't wait for her answer. She shouldn't have tempted him, standing so close to the edge. Without warning, he flung both his arms around her waist and threw himself into the water.
The world went dark and cold in an instant; the shock of ice rendered his legs numb while his arms tensed up around her waist. It wasn't until the last and tiniest of his lingering doubts had sunk to the depths of the lake that he kicked his legs, forcing them both back up. Gasping and shivering he resurfaced, wiping his matted hair from his face, still close to her and feeling anything but cold. Oh she was going to murder him, there was no doubt about that.Stamina 10 ✶ Evasion 10 ✶ Strength 2 ✶ Wisdom 4 ✶ Arcane Power 5 ✶ Accuracy 10

"Ciao, signora! Hello, miss!" The words in a friendly, familiar Italian voice floated down, breaking Astra out of her unfortunate reverie. "Aye, it's true. Sorry about that. Renelle and I haven't had the best experiences at parties and such," Astra explained, tilting her head so that it still rested against the tree, but was also looking at the Ravenclaw. "I've been doing fine. How are things with you?" Her voice sounded tired, even to her own ears. Her musings had left her rather dismal, and when melancholy struck, the young Slytherin often appeared tired. Wilted. Like the plants that didn't stand a chance at survival when she was around.
"Did I finish my what now?" A glance towards the rock in Kyle's hand reading "health and safety" and she knew. "Oh. Are we supposed to write something we want to happen? And put it in the lake?" She realized she must sound rather daft. "Sorry, I didn't hear the instructions."
With a sigh, she got up, still shorter than Kyle but considerable less so. Astra meandered towards the pile of rocks and markers, selected a very small, very smooth stone, and pondered what to write.
Bravery.
She flicked the cap off with her thumb and scribbled "good fortune" on her rock. That could be good. Luck in everything she did.
You want bravery.
Astra looked at Kyle, where he was, and smiled slightly. "I think I'm ready, Signore. Ready to finally try a winter swim." Her smile grew. "Like when we met, aye?"

Thoughts: italicsKaitlyn nodded to Tracey. “That sounds awesome. I love how both of you can do that,” she smiled. It sounded very useful. And she had to admit, she was a tad bit jealous.
Katie giggled at Tracey’s statement about meeting each other. “I completely agree. I’m happy to have come across both of you today. I enjoyed doing this,” she sighed happily. “I would suggest that we could all sit around a fireplace together, but we’re not all in the same house,” she shrugged. At least, she knew neither of them were in Slytherin. If she recalled correctly, Minnie was a Hufflepuff. “But, yeah, I bet the slippers are cozy,” she agreed happily.
As Tracey talked to Minnie, Katie nodded in agreement. They would support her, if needed. Kaitlyn turned to Minnie, as she said what was wrong. She let her etiquette lessons fall into place, letting Minnie finish saying what was on her mind. After Minnie stopped, Katie waited a bit before she started talking. She wanted to make sure Minnie was finished.
“I understand how you feel. I miss my muggle friends. Maybe you can write a letter to your friend? I cannot believe people thought you were strange. I think it’s cool that you’re a metamorphmagus. I’m sorry that happened to you … some people can be jerks,” she sympathized. “Yes, we’re all friends, and we're happy to be friends with you,” she smiled. She fidgeted slightly. “May I hug you, to comfort you?” she asked politely, not wanting to invade Minnie’s personal space.
Katie smiled brightly to Minnie’s request. “Of course, I’d love to meet up. I like having you as a friend,” she confirmed, happily. She wasn’t the type of person who dropped friends all willy-nilly. Besides, between dancing with Minnie and now this Polar Plunge, she enjoyed hanging out with the Hufflepuff girl.
When Minnie scampered off to find her bag, Katie was concerned, mainly hoping that Minnie found her belongings. She understood how hard it was when you lost something. After first coming to Hogwarts, she lost her favorite set of brushes in her dorm room. It turned out that this pretty blonde girl had borrowed them and forgot who they belonged to.
As she waited, Katie fell silent. She looked back at her toes, gently skimming the surface of the cold lake. She looked up when Minnie came back over with her bag and smiled noticeably brighter. “Great, I’m happy you found your bag. It’s not easy when stuff goes missing. And I’m happy to see you come back, friend,” she responded, making sure to highlight that she still saw Minnie as a friend.Reducio

Tracey wasn't sure if she was able to read people good, but she felt like as if Kaitlyn was jealous that both she and Minnie had the ability, and Kaitlyn didn't. She heard what she said and then said,
"Thanks, Kaite! You also don't need to be jealous! I'm pretty sure you have an ability of your own, but you don't know it yet,"
Tracey tried to cheer up her friend, hopping that Kaitlyn actually wasn't jealous, but she still decided to mention it anyways. She then heard Kaitlyn speak again, and Tracey nodded her head. She then said,
"We really can't do that, sadly, since we aren't in the same house. We should probably go and get the slippers soon as well and then walk back to the castle, and maybe we could talk more?"
Tracey was randomly stating random ideas that came to her head. She then heard Minnie telling both her and Kaitlyn what was on her mind, and Tracey felt sad about most of it. She wasn't expecting Minnie to have gone through a lot of things, and she feels very sorry for her. She hears Kaitlyn speaks and she nods her head, agreeing with what Kaitlyn had said, then she says,
"I also understand how you feel. Honestly, I was a really shy kid and I went to a muggle school and met some friends, I thought I was going to get my ability while I was at school, but luckily I didn't, but I was afraid of showing my ability to people here, but now I've come to see that people can be jerks and are just jealous because we have a very cool ability. Yep, we're definitely friends, maybe we could be a trio?"
Tracey had said words both to cheer up Minnie, and also the truth. At one point, Tracey never wanted to reveal that she was a metamorph, but during winter break, she had met someone who made her realize that she should show her ability more.
"I wanna hangout too! I won't let go of friends that fast, don't worry Minnie! I actually haven't let go of any of my friends," Tracey says smiling brightly at the two of them.
Even though that had sounded weird, it was still true. Tracey then saw Minnie get up and go look for her bag. Tracey decided to do the same, she also got up and walked over to where she had placed her bag then walked back over to where Kaitlyn was sitting. Soon Minnie had sat back down on the edge of the lake and Tracey said,
"That's good. I also got my bag too! It's good that we both didn't lose anything,"
Tracey hasn't lost anything yet, and hopefully she won't lose anything either. Cuase, mostly, Tiger loves to take things from Tracey while she's not in the room, and then gives them back after she comes back. Tracey always found it cute what her little kitten was doing.
"Guys, should we go get the slippers now and head back to the castle?" Tracey asks her two friends.
