A Bookish Encounter
The Outfit A roleplay between Beatrice Woods and @Rowan Bellegno meeting in the corridors of Hogwarts
The Hogwarts corridors were longer than Beatrice expected. She'd gotten lost so many times. Beatrice knew the way to the bathrooms, to the Gryffindor Dormitory and Common Room, the Great Hall and most of her lessons.
A lot of the time, if she didn't know where her lessons took place she'd find someone in her year and class and follow them to her lesson. She'd written down on a piece of paper where her lessons were and what was around that class but that didn't stop her getting confused at her own writing.
Despite it being the weekend she was hauling all of her books around for a quiet place to sit. She'd nearly fallen over with the weight of all of her books many times, but continued on.
She'd thought about sitting out by the lake, but the weather was not co-operating. Rain pounded the lake and the floor, as muddy as ever. She noticed her bag becoming lighter and lighter each step she descended and she looked back confused and realized, most of her books had fallen out. She went to pick them up individually counting them to see how many more there should be.
As Beatrice went to pick up the last book, she collided with someone.
'Oh no, I'm so sorry.' Beatrice spluttered, looking up.

A Bookish Encounter
In the corridors, one day in December at nothing, doing was the beginning of my day. I was just walking around like that, looking for something to do, since I didn't have class that day compared to others. Look no further, it's just me, my personality and the floor where i'm walking. I couldn't find anything to do but walk, actually. Walking and exploring the castle in which I lived and trying to find a way not to get lost, as I did every day, trying to get to a classroom or the big hall.
Unfortunately, I didn't have what else to do, having forgotten my favorite activity, pretty much the only thing that could distract me, my one and only camera. Without it, I had no distractions, I could literally scream out of boredom and everything else, or worse. I could still take imaginary pictures, but I'd just look crazy, despite already being crazy. No big deal. I can find something else, maybe.
I found something else more exciting: Probably reading. I liked novels like comic books, but I also liked manga and Muggle reading, since I was born into this world. Well yes, that's what it means to be a muggle born, to have a funny style but at least I know how to be myself. It's just myself that I'm reflecting. I don't let myself step on my toes and I'm afraid of not much. I don't say much...
So, I was walking down one of the hallways of the school (still don't know which one) and suddenly, just like that, I find myself face to face with a girl whose face was barely familiar to me and she had just dropped her book. Ouch, poor her and poor book! I decided to help him and pick it up, and then hand it to him. "I think it's yours!" I said, smiling. Gryffindors are always there to help.

'Thank you.' Bea said smiling, as this person handed the book over. She'd always been interested in meeting new people, but never knew how to start a conversation. She'd always thought you'd say 'hello' but many people she had interacted with had said 'yo'.
She'd been determined to find the best way to say hello to different people. 'Yo' or 'Hey' to people her age and 'Hello' to older people.
Why was it so difficult to make friends?
Maybe it was Bea's personality, she could get very overexcited about silly things. Bea never let it get to her. She was outgoing and happy.
She'd had many friends outside of this beautiful new school and hopefully she would make some more. Starting with this person.
'Hi!' she began, starting with her fifty questions.
'How are you?'
'What's your name?'
'What year are you in?'
'What's your favourite colour?'
'Do you like reading?'
'What's your favourite book?'
'I've read almost a hundred books this year!'
'I bought lots of school books from Diagon Alley.'
'I'm going to read them all very soon.'
'I read History of Magic twice on the train.'
'It was so interesting.'
'Anyway that's enough about me, what about you?'
She smiled broadly, and waited for a reply for her hundred questions.

This girl is very weird, but cool nonetheless. No, but this million questions are not so easily answered! Well, live and let live but I couldn't answer so easily, it scares me a little... No, the Gryffindor are not afraid! And to be afraid for these kinds of absurd questions, I don't recognize myself there anymore! Before answering, I took a minute to look at the girl who must have been my age, in front of me. She had long blonde hair, something a girl like me could dream of! She still looked very cultured, at first glance she could have looked like a Ravenclaw! Personally, I would have thought I'd go to Slytherin or Ravenclaw but I was a Gryffin and it suited me well. Finally, I made up my mind to answer him: "I'm Rowan, but you can call me Row'. I'm in first grade, like you I guess! Just like that, I don't think I can answer all this avalanche of questions but what I can tell you is that it makes me happy and that reading is so good."
I think it's good, put like that! Oh and why not talk more before you go! "I'm a muggle-born so my reading revolves around Muggle books. You?" Enough to keep me busy for a long time! What about her?

'Hi Row!'
I think Bea had only just realised bombarding someone you've only just met with a hundred questions probably wasn't the best way to start a conversation.
'I'm a first year too.'
'Yeah, um sorry about all the questions but that's how I start conversations 'cause if they can answer at least two questions then I know we'll become friends.' she smiled.
'Books are so good, it's like and escape from the real world if somethings going wrong, but also just for time alone.
'I'm pure-blood but I've read a lot of Muggle books and they're written with such passion and energy its hard to put them down.' she laughed slightly.
'I've read more Muggle books then I have magical books. My parents enjoy reading Muggle books so they purchase them quite a lot. Most of the time they let me read them, but if they're inappropriate then they won't but they usually pick out romance books but try to get the ones that are appropriate so I can read them but sometimes its hard to find them.' she breathed.
'What's your favourite book that's you've ever read?' she asked, curiously. She thought hard of what her favourite book would be if Row asked her.

"Oh, it’s ok Bea. I understand, it’s normal, if you wanna talk like you do. I say that because I’m doing the same thing, I love talk. I love talk and I also loooove read, like you. My favourite book is Hunger Games, it’s a muggle book. Do you like it ? If you no what is it, also. So hum... Do you want to go eeat something or, whatever ? I'm hungry, that's all. I know, it's strange, i'm strange and i like it." Forever and ever, I will be myself, in my words as well as in my deeds, that's all. Forever and ever, I will be myself, and I will not be judged. I'm unique like everyone else here at Hogwarts, so why han? There are no reasons, zero. I hope Bea understands that! Oh and also, since just now, I've been saying something to myself... Would she like...
"Do you want to be my friend ? I don't have so many friends, here, at Hogwarts and you really look cool. I'm not lying !" Well, maybe I'm doing a little too much right now, but hey, it's funny on one point.
We met on the basis of a book, a common passion, why aren't we in Ravenclaw then? Maybe because of a certain determination. In fact, I'm a friend of it! And ; "What's you 'res ?"
@Beatrice Woods, sorry, it's late...

"Talking is soooooo fun, though. So much to say in such little time. Oooh, I've never read the Hunger Games, but I've heard it's a very good. I will have to read it and we can chat about it one time." I reply, happy at the conversation and the fact they were both talkative.
"I love food." I say dreamily, thinking of all my favourite foods.
"YESSSSS!!!" I practically scream.
"I'd love to get food with you. What's your favourite food? I have sooo many, my favourite main food has to be sausage and mashed potato which many people dislike but it has to be one of my favourites ever! Most people like pizza or burgers, and do not get me wrong they're also like heaven in my mouth but sausage and mashed potato on top forever!"
"Being strange is much, much, much, much better than being boring." I say matter of factly.
"I LOVE being strange, people don't know what to expect. Lots of people expect me to be a quiet kid but I'm very energetic and talkative." I laugh.
"Omg yess, I'd love to be your friend. Neither to be honest, I haven't met anyone that I properly click with I met this girl earlier though and she seemed very nice. But us two I can already tell we're going to be friends. Our energy is on top!" I squeal.
@Rowan Bellegno I'm so sorry for the really late replyy
