----Vale wasn't one to get allergies so easily. All she felt was something hit her directly and she became a sneezing mess. Yet luckily, she kept onto her broom. Mucus fell down her face and her eyes watered. It was hard to see already, but that fog seemed to make things worse!

This was June’s second race helping lead the team, but her first as the captain. Vale was still learning the ropes of this whole thing, it was June who now held the role of sage old commander.
What she wasn’t expecting was for other teams to notice, or even care. Certainly not to comment on it, as one @Xailah Alptraum did before the race began.
June’s face showed a moment of confusion, before being replaced by a “game face” (at least, a June version of game face). “Thank you,” she dipped her head in response. “And don’t worry,” she smirked, “I plan to do exactly that.”
With that, the signal was given, and June tore through the sky, watching as her partner in command led the pack alongside the eldest lion.

Maybe it was too much practice. Maybe it was the sleepless nights. Maybe it was the insane amount of pressure Della was putting on herself when it came to racing. (Who could blame her? It was all she had going for herself right now.) But her worst fears came true. She zoned out at the starting sound, lost focus, and missed take-off.
The sounds of spells and projectiles brought her back to the present. A flurry of red and green lay before her. She needed to catch up, and quick.

Wyatt seemed to cast an Ascending Spell at Vale. The spell hit and made the Slytherin's Co-Captain fly vertically. Xailah missed the opportunity to cast a spell at Vale as the target moved above. Ying cast a classic Flipendo (classic because Zach always saw it at duelling) at Colin and it successfully knocked him back to Unit 1. Not only Ying, Maverick also cast the same spell at June and it also made her knocked back to Unit 4. It seemed it was not Slytherin's time to attack as both Colin and Vale's attack didn't hit their target. "Vale is flying above, leaving her teammate below. This unit was very interesting. Not It was his first time to see a Boggart. "All the racers successfully passed the trees! Wait... Della and Xailah seemed to face something." Finally some progress. There were people crashing and people around him, but four competitors were ahead of him. However, Maverick was feeling slightly more relaxed compared to how he had been some time ago.
Maybe those four were on soft tyres (he had chosen to ignore that there were no tyres in broom racing); soft tyres were known for making fast progress during the first few laps, but they were not the best for long-run battles. Surely he would be able to catch up with them on his medium ones.

It wasn't a hard sensation to shove into The Box, most emotions weren't nowadays. With her mind at ease once more, she refocused her gaze on the track in front of her.

Why was she so high up all of a sudden anyway? Did her sneezing cause her to go flying up instead of forward? No, it had to be a spell.
Vale looked around her air-only filled surroundings just to scratch her head. Well, she better work to get back on track. It'd be tough to explain why she decided to visit the moon during the day, especially during the day.

As if her words had been spoken by a seer, or by some form of cosmic divination, her next spell finally found its target. Ying aimed her wand in the right angle this time sending a spark of red light flying its way towards no other then Colin McCoire. The Gryffindor girl couldn't help the amused and mischievous smile that appeared on her face, "Bye bye McCoire!" She said, giving him a small wave and imitating his blown kiss.
Turning again on her broom it was time to focus back on her flight and the obstacles up ahead. But I think the luck was short-lived, passing through the narrow space was easy, but the fog that spread throughout the space somehow managed to make her lose her orientation. Or perhaps the thoughts that escaped her mind did nothing to help her stay in the right direction? "Damn it!" she cursed under her breath looking forward to shake that feeling away as soon as possible.
Was Zach with his next words that helped her recover some part of her focus. "Xai is being chased by what?" She thought feeling immediately alert. It had to be something really serious to make the senior lion start to fly to the opposite way, Xai never seemed the type to be easily scared!

Time to put the plan in motion! Hugh was such a menace! All he really had to do was swing a tree around and wipe out both teams! Then he could fly the race all by himself! He needed to be dealt with, and Colin thought about the best ways to deal with a giant. He'd need no magic beans or feefiefoefummery here! Just a well placed spell!
Colin got himself into position and turned to cast at Hugh.
"OBSCURO!" The magic tore along the length of Colin's wand and: "OOOFF!!"
Colin watched helplessly as the blindfold zipped right past Hugh's nose and he himself was sent careening backwards by the biggest knockback ever! "Bye bye McCoire!" he heard as he tumbled heels over head finally gaining control right back near the starting line!
"Drat. Welp, nothing for it!" He found himself right next to Sleeping Beauty Della Barfield as he turned to start the race all over again! Happily, Colin managed to repeat his success with the early obstacles. He could see Wyatt and Ying just ahead and somehow managed to zip by the Jolly Golden Giant!
