i tend to pronounce the t, or at least pronounce the d very aggressively lol. southern u.s. accents are something else fr fr, they can sound so light around other southerners but the minute you talk to a northerner it's like "Bless your heart" and "How y'all doin'?" and just really obvious and you sound like you grow cotton or smth
