Summer Duels, Game 3: Ravenclaw vs Guests
Dee hummed happily despite the stars still obscuring her vision, her wand finding a new target. Well. New old target. Old new target, depending on your point of view. Either way, Manu was next.
Despite all that Manu had claimed, out loud as well as internally, she did seem oddly fixated on - perhaps distracted by? - Dee. Once again, the Brazilian girl targeted Dee, and in this case, not all that keen on being set aflame, Dee put some more effort into getting clear of the spell's trajectory. She'd apparently also been paying attention to Dee's wand, however, and managed to evade the wind the Ravenclaw had conjured. A touch impressed, Dee whistled. Apparently the girl did have some moves. No matter, Manu's clear fixation on Dee at least meant she wasn't paying as much attention as she should have to Aida and Callie's attacks, and both hit her squarely. As a bonus, Dee's wind jinx had done the odd, wilful thing it sometimes did and split on its own accord; she'd managed to twist it to hit the other guy on the opponent team. A half-success, she'd take it, as well as all the credit. Instead of commentary, she blew Manu a kiss across the piste.
It did stand to prove that she'd grown in the past couple years; rather than be miffed that she had missed her intended target, she was satisfied at having provided a decent distraction for her team mates. She grinned at Aida, returning the compliment. "Me? You're the terror from the fog, the invisible white wix, and you never miss, apparently."
"One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar."

Callie might've joined in on her teammates various cries of praise but she had gotten far too caught up playing with loose thread on her shirt. As much as everything sort of hurt ultimately her own horribly short attention span usually won out. Eventually she ripped the thread from her shirt and shook her hand wildly to get it to come off. Where was she again? Oh right! Being a punching bag. Callie was getting rather good at being a punching bag.

It seemed that fate was on the Ravens' side. Dazzling talent and a pinch of luck would provide the birds with one of the most magically magnificent rounds Galton had witnessed.
Not one, but two of the Ravenclaw duelists would spawn a bundle of perfect magic. Dee and Aida would both produce enthralling magic for the crowd. Dee's a Rictusempra and Aida's another Incendio Duo. But Aida wasn't done with just one spell - no - another would shoot forth from her wand. Galton had to blink to make sure he was seeing strait. Green sparks too? WHAT! In all his amazement he almost missed Callie's spread Ventus shooting into the fog.
It was hard to say what exactly the Guests were up to, but Galton could only imagine they were trying their best to dodge from within the cover. Sadly they'd not be able to escape any of the birds. From the sound of it all but one spell would connect with the poor duelists. Laughter erupted from the fog as those magic tickles ate away at the guests. Their only shred of luck was that Aida's perfect fireball had veered off towards Callie (and missed). Maybe it was the price for two spells at once?
As the fog dissipated on Felix, Galton couldn't help but cringe. Wrapped in wind and laughing as tiny hands dug their way at him, you couldn't help but feel pity. It would take something monumental to turn the tides at this point. But crazier things had happened, the Murder had just proven that.

In a great swelling of arcane power, Aida was ready to throw the biggest incendio of their life… but despite the wix’s enthusiasm, Aida’s wand decided that wasn’t the right spell at all. Jerking to the side, the phoenix-feather wand yeeted a bolt of flame so far from its target that it almost hit Callie.
“Oh, you have other ideas?!” laughed Aida, totally in love with the wand with a mind of its own and not schooled enough in manners enough to apologize to Callie. Pointing back at Manuela, the ancient chestnut stick spat out a fierce green sparks charm, causing Aida’s laughter to amplify enough to shake the white-haired Scot to their knees under the force of hilarity.

Callie should’ve been annoyed at the at almost being incinerated by a fireball. Unfortunately duelling for so long had resulted in her being entirely unphased at the possibility of being cooked alive. It came as part of the whole duelling package! If you couldn’t handle being cooked just a little then maybe duelling wasn’t the sport for you. Erin cast a smile to Aida but otherwise kept her focus firmly on the matter at hand. No sense in distracting herself now. Not when they were so close.

There was something incredibly satisfying about casting the perfect spell. Sometimes you just hit the incantation exactly right, matched the movement perfectly, and the result brought with it a special kind of joy. Even more so when you managed to hit two opponents with it at the same time, as Dee had just done.
Grinning, she spun her wand around her fingers, but the smile faded a little when neither Manu nor the Durmstrang dude returned fire - literally or figuratively. "Hey!" she called over to them, snapping her fingers at their opponents impatiently. "You're making this too easy! Snap out of it, will you?"

Manu was not doing too hot at this point. She knew that she had to get up, to fight to stay in the game, but at this point, there was wind everywhere and green sparks in her face blinding her gaze and, for some reason, despite everything absolutely crashing and burning (though at least there was no fire anymore?) around her, all Manu could think to do was laugh hysterically.
But through the laughter, she tried to strategise, even as invisible fingers tickled her splitting sides. There had to be something she could do to salvage the situation...

He had apparently faded off into his head. It was hard to pay attention with the cloudy atmosphere. Until... Wait, had it suddenly gotten windy in here? He quickly snapped out of it, gripping his wand... Until he was hit with a spell that suddenly had invisible hands grabbing at him. "What the fuck?!"

With half the fog cleared the Ravens had a clear shot at Manu. Galton knew what was about to happen - the flock would try to claim their second KO.
Three incantations would grace the stage, this time severely lacking in the previous spells’ grandeur. Callie and Aida would repeat their previous spells, an elemental duo of fire and wind. However Dee would go for the ever-faithful Flipendo. Galton had never seen such a sloppy cast follow something so perfect. The fact that it manifested anything was a testament to Dee’s skill, and to split it? Even more so.
It seemed that whatever had the Guests within it's grip (other than the tickling ones) had not relented. As the spells hurled forward there was minimal movement. It had been a tough duel, no one would blame the guests for their fatigue. Aid's fire was first across, only to be narrowly dodged by Manu. Dee's flipendo would crash into Felix next, moments later Manu would follow. If anyone had particularly good hearing they'd be able to catch a small "pro-" from Manu as Dee's magic forced the guest into unconsciousness. Callie's ventus would join Dee's flipendo in assulting Felix.
Galton's hand would go up. Not only was Manu down, but per regulations he couldn't let a one-sided onslaught continue. "GAME! VICTORY GOES TO RAVENCLAW!" He was sorry he had to do it, but any longer would not be fair to either side. No matter the end though, Galton had a duty to do.
Crowd cheering and Mediwizard moving Galton would approach the Murder first. "Well, I knew I'd see something impressive today, but not quite that scale." He would specifically grin toward Aida - he knew what it was like to have a wand with it's own mind, but a spell change? Quite the feisty one. "And of course, here you are! Congrats." He would produce three licorice wands and hand them over. With a quick way he'd make it over to Felix. "Hell of a game - you did great. Fog is a nightmare." He'd give a licorice wand to the boy and began idle chat (if Felix wanted it), while they made their way to the infirmary. He had more licorice to give out.
