Camp, 2023 Summer Duels, Game 7: Slytherin vs Guests

Duvessa walked to the duel. It was time for a duel - between Slytherin and a bunch of guests from other schools. This was her first official duel and match of being part of the Vipers. She nodded to Pea and Avery before taking her place. She was determined to win her first match, but a wry feeling told her that the other team would be just as eager. With that, the duel began.

Klaus stance revealed how ready and prepared the boy was for this moment. Hours spent training and studying at least would give him confidence enough to remain calm and collected.

He knew that he didn’t had everything in his hands, somehow he must find a way to trust in his teammates, this was the real challenge. Maila he knew, she was one of the people that could be considered to be close to a friend. One of the few people Klaus didn't mind spending time with.

But the other boy, he only learned his name a few minutes ago, how could he trust his fate in this duel and reputation to a boy he barely knew? He just hoped that he was up to fight for his own school honor and would give his best in this duel.

Walking in steady and confident steps, Klaus went to take his place in the duelling stage. Assessing all his opponents with his cold and calculated gaze, trying to understand what strategy could be the best one for his team to win this match.

Dark eyes drifted over every single one of the Hogwarts students her team was up against. All were Slytherin and one was about a year older than the others in this duel. It was three against three and the only one Maila knew, was Klaus. Her dark curls were pulled up into a ponytail and as always, the wind slightly pulled on them. She was ready for this duel but so were the others This would be fun and as Maila went over her strategy again, everyone got into place. Taking a deep breath and giving both of her team mates as well as their opponents a small smile, she knew she was good to go. She just hoped the others were too.

	----- S lytherin had fought for the ability to play in the summer games, a tournament tie. It felt good to be here, but it would feel even better if they manage to pull off another win. He was duelling with Pea Elena Fowl again, and Duvessa Ember. The former had impressed him enough in their first duel to make him thankful for seeing her on the roster next to him, and Duvessa was known to him for other reasons, on top of the fact that she had watched their last duel. Avery hoped that though Duvessa was new to the sport, that she had learned the cadence of the dance that Pea and Avery had almost naturally picked up. Perhaps Avery was uncharacteristically chipper, this afternoon. ”Miss Fowl, Miss Ember.” He gave as he approached the duelling area of camp, nodding his head to them in greeting before he set his bag down. ”Nothing unusual about them, is there? - Let’s kick them to the dirt.” He said, smirking as he flexed his fingers around his wand. His dark eyes met those of Niklaus and his smirk grew a little bit wider, before he shifted it to the surrounds to see who was watching, wondering if Caoimhe would turn up to watch this one as well.

Reuben was quite excited for his first duel at this school. He knew that he would not be dueling with anybody from his school, but he was sure that this would be a chance to make some new friends. After some short introductions, he got into position, pointing his wand at the other team, ready to show them how strong a team could be.

It is a time of the year again, where she has to attend this ratchet event, in a ratchet place, where she has to spend time with ratchet people. Summer camp has become the bane of her existence ever since last year, when... tragic events happened behind her back when she was away in this very summer camp. Although it was a different location, summer camp, is still the summer camp. But why is she here? The sole purpose.. it was none other than the feeling of satisfaction from beating a bunch of useless people in a game of dueling.

Dueling has been her whole life these last year, it was the one way of getting rid of her aggressive behavior that wouldn't cause her to go to the headmaster's office, or get expelled. And also it is fun to see other people suffer in the palm of her hands.

So this time wouldn't be anything different, instead of competing with Hogwarts students, she just have to beat people from another school. And what is more interesting is that everyone in the game is just a bunch of small kids younger than her. Peculiar, is this how they see her? so weak that they pair her with a bunch of second years. Pea roll her eyes but decided to not think too much about it. That boy Leveret is here though. He was a boy she was paired with in her last duel, where they won spectacularly. Pea smiled pompously at the boy and another girl who seemed to be one of her partners as well. How.. peculiar indeed.

Pea stand in her spot, confidently, screening her opponent. "Well.. well.. well.. what do we have here?" The white-haired smirks at her opponents. "They didn't tell me I'll be against a bunch of pesky kids." Pea teases the lot, then turn to her teammates. "Ah Leveret~ It's nice to see you still here, and-" Pea looks at the Slytherin girl who she did not recognize, "You- Ember isn't it? ..Don't disappoint." Pea smiled sneeringly at the new girl.

Del wasn't quite used to this many spells missing, but everybody had to start somewhere, certainly made it a lot easier to keep track of who was hitting who with what if there were less spells going everywhere. After all, as far as she knew, none of these duellists had the ability to split their spells like she was used to seeing in the older duels. Most things that happened weren't particularly visible, however it was quite amusing when Niklaus started doing an Irish jig.

	----- A nd they were off! Spells whizzed at either side but come the end of it it looked like it was the Slytherin side that pulled ahead. Avery’s spell had sailed past his victim, his jaw clenching in disappointment. His ebony eyes scanned them again as he recoiled his wand ready for the next spell; for which he hoped to deliver with an ounce more force after he was hit with a blast of Steleus, which infected his brain with confusion and clouded his judgement momentarily. “Solid hits, vipers.”

Maila's dark eyes fixated on her victim as the duel started. It surprised her a little that he too tried to hit her but while his spell missed, Maila hit the dark haired Slytherin with Steleus. A smirk spread across her lips and she winked at him in a rivalry type of way, before bringing her attention back to her team and the duel. Klaus, who's ego was very big and was definitely not going to like what had been done to him, was dancing the Irish jig and she had to try incredibly hard to not burst out laughing. Her team wasn't doing too good but for Maila, this was a game. A fun game with physical exercise and wit, what could be better than this? Scanning her opponents once again, she tried to find her next target and develop somewhat of a strategy.
