For her first broom race she didn't think she was doing half bad. Of she would always need more practice, no one apart of any sport no matter how great of a player they'd be would ever not need practice. However, even though she was pleased with herself she did feel as though she might be going slow and steady. She also found it quite shameful that she wasn't able to keep track of all of her teammates. Perhaps it was because they were ahead of her? If so she wished them the best. Perhaps it was because they were behind her? She sure hoped that wasn't the case at all

Telling herself to focus really helped, apparently. Her eyes narrowed as she spotted Bloom - her new archnemesis, apparently - trying to escape the vines. Where was she? Oh yes, the beginning of the race course. The terrifying vision of a three innocent racers caught by a gigantic squid did not help her recover from the shock and horror she had just experienced after realising her projectile had not hit her target, but instead, landed harmlessly on the ground below. Wasn't spring supposed to be sunshine and rainbows? Clearly, this was the complete opposite of sunshine and rainbows.

FINALLY. She had been free from the reigns of the squid. Now was her time to keep up with the other players. Bloom began to swift past whatever was placed in front of her when all of a sudden she felt herself going back. What's happening? she thought to herself. Bloom then noticed that magic was sprung upon her, probably from an opponent. She looked back and realized that once again, she was in the hands of the squid. "DAMMIT!" She screamed, feeling like Groundhog Day, doing the same thing all over again.

This was turning out to be quite the peculiar sort of broom race. In a regular broom race, one would expect high elevations, high speeds, sharp corners, objects thrown, high winds, and even running into trees. There would be the weather to attend to - whether it was snowing, raining, or crazy sunny.

This wasn't a regular broom race. Already there was a slow start from the other team, a fall off the broom from a waterfall, and now the giant squid.

Simon would try and look at the positives though. The waterfall had momentarily brought him some relief from the bright sunshine and as for the giant squid - well, Herman was just brilliant! He had spent many hours at the Great Lake watching for him with his wizard camera and while he didn't have it on him to capture the moment, he still got to see the majestic creature up close. "Herman, hello! You're amazing! I'm a big fan. It's nice to finally meet you. I'm Simon Kincaid and hope we can become fast friends." Fast as in...okay, cool, but now put me back in the race!

Bubba was... well he supposed 0.5/2. He did actually manage to hit George, he just didn't succeed in igniting him. When he tried to hit his next target, it looked so good but she moved out of his way at the exact last minute. Disappointing to say the least. Bubba figured at this point he was bound to hit something, his luck would change eventually. Well, then he remembered Hunter in their last race. Maybe his luck wouldn't change. Still, at least he'd stick it out even if that happened. He definitely wouldn't just quit like Hunter did, what a little bitch.
