Lilliana Lynn Havenmore was born to a pure-blood Irish family on a cloudy evening, the date to be marked August 8, 2011. Her parents were Evangeline Margrette and Tristan Havenmore. Evangeline traveled to Ireland to visit her parents who had been sick, and their condition was getting worse. Tristan Havenmore was a dragonologist, and lived in Ireland himself. They met on a warm morning during spring, when the flowers just began to bloom in a forest near Evangeline’s family’s cabin. They met, and it wasn’t too long until they fell in love, soon giving birth to her in Ireland.

After Lilliana’s first birthday they moved to Birmingham, England, where Evangeline began working with the Ministry, and where Lilliana spent most of her childhood. She grew up privileged, with loving parents, many toys and treats, a large manor. She was a little spoiled, they didn’t deny that. But everything changed, when Lilliana was only three.

They sent Lilliana to her dad’s sister; her aunt for a month. Lilliana had never met this woman before, and she had high hopes they would get along, but when her aunt first opened the door, her aunt had eyed her with disgust, wiping the smile of Lilliana’s face. Her parents had told her earlier that her aunt was a squib, and it wasn’t hard to tell that she was. She was short with straight, chopped brown hair that seemed to reach just past her shoulders. Her face was bleak, and her expression was a scowl. It didn’t at all match with Lilliana’s appearance; eager blue eyes, which twinkled when she smiled, long blond hair which glistened in the moonlight. The next month didn’t seem like it would be a fun one.

The month passed, but there was no sign of her parents. Days stretched to weeks, which became nearly a month until a small parcel arrived, proclaiming the death of her parents. It also stated she would be residing with her aunt. Lilliana’s world shattered, her life had been like a fairytale, everything was perfect, why did it have to be tarnished? And it also said her aunt would be her new guardian. Her aunt. The two were practically strangers, and for the month Lilliana had lived with them, she had mainly ignored the young girl. What would it be like now?

The next few years with her aunt were dreary, each day dragging along like a tortoise. She was never fond of her aunt, and she was certain her aunt disliked her. Her aunt had a cat, it’s fur midnight black and its claws razor sharp. Lilliana knew how sharp those claws were, when she had first seen the cat she had reached out to pet it, but instead the claws attacked her, leaving marks all over her arms and on her face. She threw the cat off of the couch, in horror of what the cat had done to her. Her aunt had walked in just when she threw the cat across the room, and began scolding her, eventually sending Lilliana to her room. But, when she woke up the next morning, the scratches had disappeared.

Strange things continued happening to her, until one day… Lilliana had just came back from the park, the place she tended to spend most days, not to play, but to get away from the harsh atmosphere at home. She doubted the place was even her home. Her aunt had made it clear that they may be related, but they certainly weren’t family. The last rays of light from the sun sank down beneath the valley. She opened the door to find her aunt glaring at her. “You are late!” She snapped. “I told you we have guests coming soon, get ready!” She said in a drawling tone, pointing up to her room.

By the time Lilliana came back downstairs the guests had already arrived. Her aunt had certainly looked… different. She usually wore dirty work robes, but she was wearing an elegant white dress and she was wearing - makeup? In all the years of living with her aunt, Lilliana had never witnessed her aunt wearing makeup. She looked at the guests. There was a man dressed up nicely in her suit, along with a girl her age. Lilliana eyed her wearily.

The four sat down on a table, eating dinner. Lilliana’s elbow accidentally bumped into the man’s glass of wine, causing it to tumble to the ground. The aunt smiled at the man before glaring at Lilliana. “Come, dear, help me grab some towels in the kitchen.” Dear? Since when did my aunt start calling me dear? Her mind screamed. She went with her aunt to grab some paper towels, when they bent behind the counter to grab some, the woman grabbed her wrist. “What did you just do?” She was whispering, but Lilliana could easily detect fury in her voice. Lilliana bit her lip. It was an accident, honestly.

When they left, her aunt glowered over her. “How could you do that? You’ve ruined everything!” She wailed. “Go to your room.”

“No.” It was just one single word that set of a chain reaction.

Her aunt looked as if she was going to explode. She lowered her voice, “Now listen here, and listen carefully—’’. But she never got the chance to finish that sentence because a pie shot out from an oven and landed straight on the woman’s face. Lilliana’s jaw dropped.

Just then, Lilliana heard a sound, near the doorway, and saw the two who had just left, gawking at her aunt. “I just forgot my keys…” The man said, turning red. Lilliana fought the urge to laugh.

From there on out, Lilliana became more confident, but also more cruel. It felt like all the anger she had bottled up over the years had finally got out, and created a new person entirely…

Upon arrival at Hogwarts, Lilliana was sorted into the house of Slytherin. Reserved the first couple months, Lilliana wasn’t too keen on the prospect of friendships, but she built some close ones within her house and a couple outside. Academically, the blond haired girl received above average grades in nearly every subject, other than Flying, which she soon enough discovers her fear of heights to. The end of her first year she makes a deal to herself to conquer her fear. Lilliana kept her Veela heritage a secret while being at Hogwarts, and while she was sure there were those with their suspicions, the snake prefers to keep her half-breed status to herself.
