─────The corridors was a noisy place full of students rushing about to get elsewhere, or to find a shoe lost in the bustling atmosphere. Students crowded about, forming a gigantic clump. Older students shoving through and the younger ones squeezing through the meager space available.
Lilliana hated it. It was too loud. It was too busy. It was too full. She found the corridors a place she often tried to avoid. She could barely hear her own thoughts over the students yelling to their friend across the hall, or a heated argument between students. Simply put, it was just terrible. But, unfortunately for her, the corridors was the main way to go to a numerous amount of places.
So Lilliana, small and insignificant to the vast majority of students filing through, inched her way through the crowd. Why can’t they learn to walk in neat and orderly rows? Lilliana pleaded to herself. A barricade of students surrounded her, and aggravated, she gave up, and shoved forward, slamming into other— Ouch!
A student, with remarkably large feet, had stomped on her foot. She tried not to cry out loud but it was just too painful. Lilliana looked back trying to find the face of the person who had injured her foot, but no luck. They had disappeared back into the crowd away from her view. How could they have just gotten away like that? And barely even noticed~
The First Year was looking back and not moving at all for too long, it seemed. Some other student had gotten annoyed and pushed her into someone else in front, causing the person in front of her to stumble slightly. But thanks to the student who had pushed her, Lilliana had twisted her ankle. She glared daggers at them before turning away limping forward.
Every step bright a jolt of pain, and she began to think of abandoning her plans for the day and going to the hospital wing when yet another person walked into her. Any sliver of patience she had collapsed at that very moment. Couldn’t they see her limping? The corridors were slightly less crowded than it was a minute ago, why didn’t they just move to the side like a logical person?
She let out a sharp breath, and crossed her arms tightly. Before addressing them in the sharpest voice she could muster, “Why did you slam into me?”, the girl said. The fury was clearly written on her face. Her hands were in fists, clenched so tightly she could feel them starting to get numb. Her fierce blue eyes seemed piercing, and her body was surprisingly stiff.
